Excellent online service. I ordered and my goods arrived within 48 hours. They were very responsive to my queries too. Great value for my Rab coat too.
I haven't visited the shop so can't comment there. I will at some point when Covid is more settled. But for an Online experience, they were excellent.

Very poor customer service. Purchased a Zephyros 2 tent three weeks ago, and used it for the first time last week, 5 day camping trip. On the second day it started raining after I had pitched the tent. Within 5 minutes rain was coming through the top seam! Took it back today and all I receieved was a repeated "will have to send it off for testing" which would take 28 days.
This tent is not fit for purpose as it is leaking. All I was wanting was a replacement tent, even if it had meant spending more money. I even suggested they get some water to test it in the shop! My only recourse left is through the Small Claims Court.

Update - Following an email conversation they have offered a full refund. All this could have been avoided! But hats off to them, they have done the "right" thing

The price was great, the product was exactly as expected - Tracked delivery only to find that I had a senior moment (yet another one) & entered an incorrect postcode , rang the office , where I spoke to a friendly member of staff he told me it was not a problem & that he would contact the delivery driver & re-direct . The consignment was with me the next morning , wonderful!!! Thank you LD Mountain centre. Great service. Will definitely buy from LD Mountain Centre again :-)

WOW! Popped into store on Wednesday evening with a pair of Ski boots that were once very comfortable but over the last 2 years had become more and more uncomfortable. Spent time with both guys from the boot department explaining pain points and I can honestly say I couldn't have received a better service I feel like I have a new boot as they are now so so comfortable and I really can't wait to get on the snow next week to try them out. If you're looking for a ski boot I couldn't recommend this place enough they will spend 'literally' all the time it takes to get you the perfect fit and are true experts in the field of all things ski.
The shop also has an amazing range of outdoor clothing ranging from the very expensive and premium quality to the more affordable, with staff on hand to help you with what you need. The store has a community feel and is by far the best outdoors shop I have been to. Support this local business!

Disappointing service after order was delivered. My order was missing several components which would make up my complete tent, and then was told that they had sent out the shop floor demo model by mistake, so if this was the case the shop floor model wasnt even complete either so that would of been an intresting demo tent to look at. This lead to me me losing time and money to return this product and also time lost waiting in for the original delivery. They did offer 15% off the price if i decided to take the demo model which is a bit of a insult to be honest as god know how many people play around with the demo products in shops. Very disappointing. I would never use this company again .

Great service from the Team at the LD Mountain Centre. Really good experience all through ordering. The courier was having difficulty locating my address as we're out in the country so a member of the LD team called me for further details of our property and then relayed them to the driver. Parcel arrived quickly after that and it perfect condition. I've been very impressed and will use this company again.

They explained their range of gear across a number of product areas and I bought well within my budget.

They even knew people in resort that I should contact for lessons.

I had made a trip to Go Outdoors previously and was served by someone who didn't know what day it was never mind the weight issues around ski fitting !!!

I did have to ask to speak to someone about boards but then the experience and service was exceptional. Neil helped me out - nothing he didn't know and got full kit. Definitely recommend this place. Their array of ski gear is impressive and much broader than any other store I've found so far in the NE.

I recently ordered a new pair of gloves and when they arrived I'd ordered a size too big. I sent them back and they had the replacement size gloves sent out the same day they received the original pair. Their returns department was friendly and efficient.

I have ordered from LD before and I always find them to be the best price in comparison to their competitors.

Ordered some Oakley sunglasses which where obviously a different colour to that shown on their website. Very bad quality material, lenses were supposed to be Polarized but were simply coloured. Not as described at all. Called them they agreed to a full refund but tried to make me pay for postage. When they eventually agreed to pay for returns postage they said it was a gesture of goodwill but in the very next sentence said they would inspect the product when they received it back. Very poor customer service. Would not be surprised if the glasses were actually fake. Would definitely not purchase from this company again.

Ordered on the Thursday with Standard Delivery selected. Boots arrived the following day via Doddle, collected with ease on the Saturday morning. Way ahead of expected delivery date, very impressed, will be using again!

I recently bought a Patagonia jacket from their online store as a Christmas present for my mother. Not only was it cheaper than other stores, the customer service was exceptional.

After checking out I realised that I had selected the free Second Class delivery which would mean that the item arrived before my flight home to see my family at Christmas.

After emailing them in the early hours of Saturday morning to explain the issue I awoke to find an email that had said they would instead post the item First Class at no additional cost. I then received an additional email to say that it had been dispatched First Class.

10/10!

Really impressed with this store. Delivery was quick, but the package had been damaged by the courier causing a few abrasions on the jacket. I spoke to LD Mountain Centre's customer service and everything was sorted without fuss. I have full confidence in this store and would not hesitate to purchase from here again.

Abit compact, but these kind of stores usually are. Other half ordered me a coat, in the size that usually fits me, however for this coat, the sizing was off. (Not the shops fault). Rang them to see if we could exchange in store even though the coat had been ordered online, this staff member was helpful and polite. Went to store and another staff member dealt with our request, I tried another size, but still the same result, as if the brand hadn't even made the coat any bigger and ended up asking for a refund. This was all sorted very quickly.

Refused service to me for an online order to an UK address and paid for with a UK-issued bank card, just because I'm from (and currently located in Bulgaria). That's discriminatory in my book.

I ordered some gloves with LD Mountain Centre on Monday, paying extra for next day delivery to ensure they arrived well before I was due to fly out. On Thursday, the day AFTER they were due to arrive (I had just missed the 2pm cut-off for next-day delivery), I received an email to say that in fact they had never been in stock and so my money would be refunded. I have no idea why they didn't think to notify me on Tuesday when they were supposed to hand the parcel over to the courier.

At any rate, I was left with no gloves for my trip, and a struggle to race into London to find a physical shop to buy them from.

It's dodgy places like this that really put me off buying things online - especially in cases like this when you really need the item you've ordered.

Sold me a pair of Women's boots as Mens boots, and now i have badly aching arches that i have never had in the past. I purchased a pair of "Zamberlan Ultra Light" boots, on the box it did say Women's boots, so i questioned this when i bought them and two sales men both told me that they were unisex and are exactly the same as the Mens boots, it is just the way that Zamberlan size them, they are both the same. I did find it strange at the time, because why would they print Women's on the box if they were unisex.

After checking into this i found this to be incorrect and Zamberlan use a specific Last on this boot for Women's boots, hence they put Women's on the box. The differences being, higher arches, more supported insteps, narrower heel pockets and better wrapped ankles. I suspect what is causing my aching arch problem is the higher arches, or it could be something to do with the insteps as well, or it could be a combination of both i am really not too sure. But i think it is definitely something to do with being mis sold Women's boots as Mens boots as i have never had this problem before.

I really like the local feel that comes from this store. Got talking to a few of the guys in here. They really know their stuff. Products can be a little pricey, but you're not buying poor quality so that should be expected.

The test of a company is how they deal with issues when thing goes wrong. DPD totally bodged the delivery of my item, they managed to take a week to deliver someone else's parcel to me. LD Mountain Centre were quick to resolve the problem. Everyone I spoke to was friendly and helpful. Definitely a company I would use again. I'll perhaps avoid DPD next time though.

I have always been a fan of LD Mountain Centre, my 'go to' shop when I need anything remotely outdoors. This visit did not disappoint! I've been looking for a new pair of ski boots for the new season and I just knew LD was the place to go. I know LD can been seen as expensive compared to some on-line discount stores but I'm always willing to pay that little extra to get the hands on customer care you receive from the friendly guys at LD as well as the high quality equipment. The lads have so much knowledge and are always willing to share their thoughts, it s never a forced sale, it s a genuine approach which caters to your personal standard, ability and personality. Needless to say the guys helped me select the perfect pair of boots and I left a very happy bunny! Now where's those slopes! :)
