It seems like they took too many hints from Disney....prices in the gift shop outrageous and the prices for a dip of ice cream is more expensive than what I pay in the store. Tour doesent really let you see anything of interest....tourist trap RIP off....I'll just get it at the grocery from now on.

It's the Ben & Jerry's factory! How can you go wrong? The factory tour is cheap, informative, and gives you ice cream at the end. The gift shop still sells tie dyed shirts like it has for decades. Hopefully you won't find your favorite flavor in the flavor graveyard (worth the walk for the goony poems). There's a kids' playground up there too to work off the sugar. And of course, there's a scoop shop with all the flavors. I got a free tour and scoop of ice cream on Father's Day - thanks!

Tour was interesting. Watch a movie about the history. Was expecting an actual tour, but instead just watched a slide show explaining the process while looking at the machines from above. Kids enjoyed it.

Not terrible the visit of more it is paying. The shop is overpriced and the ice creams for sale are more expensive than Wall-Mart (supermarket) If you do not know what to do go or else go your way. :(

We actually planned a trip to Vermont based on visiting here. The tour was fairly short but informative. We weren t allowed to take pictures during the tour but it starts out in a room with a short video talking about the founders and history of the company and then you go to the area where the ice cream is actually made. The Tonight Dough was being made while we were there. The employees down below saw us and waved. We got to try a new ice cream flavor they had been making afterwards. Overall a really cute tour. There is no WiFi there so be prepared for that. I would have liked more samples.

I really like this place. The tour is short and they don't go in detail about the process, but staffs are so awesome and happy. The ending with one scope of ice-cream is awesome too! This is a good 45 minutes stop on your way to Burlington or around that area.

Very fun stop if passing by the area. Tour is cool to see but very short however ticket prices are very inexpensive so cant complain, you also get a decent little cup of ice cream at the end of the tour. Only reason why I put 4 star is that the ice cream stand is quite pricey...

Yummy

Who doesn't love ice cream? They even have non-dairy alternatives for those of us who have gone dairy-free. Super cool gift shop. Ice cream stand to buy your favorite cone. Ice cream flavor graveyard. Really fun tour of the facility.

Reallly cool place, very well explained tour, gift shop has lots of items to choose from, the flavour grave yard was pretty cool too, you can get lots of exercise with the stairs, good for burning calories acquired from eating the ice cream

if in Vermont this is a must, specially if you have children.

there is free parking at the property.

the tour is pretty cheap I think we paid like 3 dollars and they had a free admission if checked in by yelp, the tours are quick and they have new groups going in for the tour at every 30 minutes . the tour is very simple and quick and you get to sample the latest flavor they are producing at the time at the end of the tour.

during the tour you will get to know a lot about the founders and some cool facts about them, as well as what the company has been up to these days.

they also have many flavors that are very hard to find at their little ice cream shop and they also have various momentos that you can purchase at the gift shop after the tour.

the grounds have also the flavor cemetery and it is very cool to go look at the flavors that they invented and are no longer around.

this was a good and quick little trip.

Had a great time visiting. The staff were nice and the tour around the ice cream factory was pretty fun. The gift shop was a bit overpriced but that's to be expected from a place like this.

A great experience, to be sure. The tour is short, with a short video upfront, then a look at ice cream production, and it's topped off with an ice cream sample.
It's $4 per person.
You just have to do it.
It gets busy, even in the middle of winter.
You might encounter long lines

Second time doing the tour. First time for my children. We had a great time. Our guide had all the obligatory cow and ice cream jokes. All perfectly groan-worthy.

And the kids had the best time seeing how everything worked and topping it all off with some ice cream!

This is a "MUST-SEE" attraction while visiting Vermont. The tour is really interesting and teaches you the history and future of one of the most Iconic ice cream brands in America.

The guided tour starts with a short video explaining the past, present and future of the company, then moves on to their original production kitchen. The amount of ice-cream that is made every minute will seriously blow your mind. You learn about every stage of the process from start to finish, and you get it from a birds-eye view above the production floor. You are not allowed to take pictures of the production area for confidentiality reasons, but truthfully, this helps you take in and appreciate the work that goes into making ice-cream.

Once you are done in the production area, you move into the original flavour lab/kitchen where Ben and Jerry used to create and sample new flavours. While no longer used, the tour guide explains what the room used to be. As an added treat, you are given a relatively good size portion of fresh ice-cream. It was heavenly.

Outside of the tour itself, there is a gift shop, an ice-cream store, the original Ben and Jerry's tour bus, and even a flavour grave-yard (complete with real marble tombstones) to honour those flavours that are no more.

Fun, entertaining, informative and yummy. Totally worth the trip.

It's the famous Ben & Jerry's! This is the original factory, and to learn more, I recommend taking the fantastic tour. At the end, you get to sample new flavors the company is trying out! The gift shop is nice and the ice cream speaks for itself. My favorite is coffee coffee buzz buzz buzz shake!

Tour was pretty lame. They start with a video, then bring you into a room overlooking the area where the ice cream is made to play another video while the tour guide talks a bit. Not particularly interesting.

Very interesting tour, some free ice cream at the end! The gift shop got cramped pretty early in the day--could use an expansion. Definitely check out the flavor graveyard while you're there! Unique and fun, but only keeps you occupied for about a half hour.

You kind of have to go here if you re in Vermont. The tour guide was wonderful and it was a great dorky experience. The ice cream sample was delicious and the gift shop had some fun options.

Great tour, very informative and amazing free samples to come with it, however the milkshakes aren t what you expect, very watered down and not thick at all, great ice cream, but not the place to go for a nice thick milkshake.

They charged for the tour! Bad form B&J. Or should I say Unilever. That is NOT giving back to the community. For the kids - maybe because you get a whole teaspoon of free ice cream.

delicious
