On Mother's Day we did the factory tour and went to the Flavor Graveyard. The tour begins with a short video (with subtitles!) about the history of Ben & Jerry's, then you proceed through a good sized room with windows above the factory floor, where the guide explains the ice cream making process. The guide speaks in a clear voice over a sort of intercom with her microphone and answers any questions guests may have. At the end of the tour you get to try a small sample of whatever new flavors they are trying out. We had "Sweet Like Sugar" (I believe) which was cherries and sugar cookie bits in sweet almond ice cream and it was delicious! There were lots of fun goodies in the gift shop and everything is clean and decorated in a fun way. The Flavor Graveyard is a little more of a trek than I expected from the factory, but each gravestone has a funny little poem which I enjoyed, and there is a nice playground on the way.

The tour appears to be accessible for those who use wheelchairs or other mobility aids as well as people with hearing impairments (they use captions on the videos and have signs saying that some sort of assistive hearing devices are available upon request). The bathrooms are gendered.

I would recommend this tour if you are at all interested in Ben & Jerry's or ice cream in general. I probably wouldn't go again on my own, but if someone invited me to go with them, I think I would enjoy having another visit!

If you go through Vermont that's for sure you have to stop at Ben & Jerry's. There are guided tours every 10 minutes and we receive a free ice cream at the end. Derivatives are very expensive, however. Do not forget the graveyard of disappeared flavors. Everything is very educational and the ice cream is excellent. For my part my favorite flavor is New York but I have to eat fishfood and I must admit that I almost changed my mind. Have fun and enjoy your visit!

We took a tour while vacationing in Vermont. The tour was very informative and it was cool to see the staff in action making ice cream. The facility was very clean too. Best part was the tasting at the end totally worth the price.
There is a small gift shop to get souvenirs and outside you can order ice cream. And boy do you want to after your taste.
There are plenty of areas to sit and enjoy your ice cream and a large restroom to hit on your way out.
The flavor graveyard was cool.
If you have kids there's a nice playground.
They also have plenty of free parking.

Not a real factory.

Just a replica of factory.
Tour is not that great

The tour guide was knowledgeable, the merch was high quality, and if you don't already know how good Ben and Jerry's ice cream is you should get in the car and go right now or at least go to the store to buy some. Don't even finish reading this review. Just go. For everyone else, it's an enlightening trip. They have a bunch of old ice cream scoops and spades from throughout the years, the full history of the company, and a graveyard for all of their old flavors which sounds weird but is pretty funny. Most importantly of all there is the unique flavor only offered there so if you think you're a true fan and you haven't been you're wrong. The only way to correct yourself is to go get the special flavor. It's delicious.

Sort of underwhelming for what I was expecting. The samples you get at the end are predetermined (you don't get to choose the flavor) and while it was good, I don't like cherrys so was disappointed we couldn't choose.

It was a fun festive place to visit. They were not making ice cream the day we went, so we skipped the tour, but visited the gift shop and of course tried the ice cream. Mom said it's good, but it's not Blue Bell...I thought it was just as good.

Nice short tour of the factory with fun facts and a great video abt the start of Ben & Jerry's. (Thanks Mark!!!) And of course I enjoyed the sweet treat at the end. Would definitely return or take someone for a visit. It is very scenic with lots of sitting areas and a playground for the kiddos! I also thought the "flavoryard" was a nice touch and the cute little gift shop.

Decided to visit since we were close. Paid for the tour and was captured in their cartoon presentation about the creation of B&J and then their liberal pitch to Save the Poor fund. All 3 of us felt offended and several other people that we talked too. They have a right to tell people what they support, but not when you paid for a tour.
They could have information out front and people could decide to listen or read if they wanted.
Glad that we didn't drive a 100 miles to go on this tour.
Very disappointed.

The tour was absolutely amazing, full of little details and fun facts about the company and how they make the ice cream. Everything was completely on theme with the company and its values. There were booths set up outside to make your own tye-dye. The flavor graveyard was super cool, each head stone had a funny poem or pun about the flavor. There is also a pretty good sized play ground for children to play on. You can easily spend a lot of time here, it's the perfect place to take the whole family.

Ice cream is as good as ever with many flavors to choose from. Service was good, friendly young staff and everything was sanitized and people are kept 6' apart. Pricing is HIGH. Over $10.00 for two children size comes on a chocolate dipped cone.

Fun place to visit and not expensive for the tour but the line to get ice cream after was insane! You would think Ben and Jerrys could expand their ice cream counter or scooper or something...

What a zoo! Sure they have a great tour, but you have to get a timed ticket for the tour ahead of time. Hopefully before they sell out. And then come back at that given time. To buy ice cream, that s a joke. Line was unreal. And it was more $$$ than just going to buy a pint at the store. If parking lots are full, then come back. If empty, then it s worth it.

The ice cream is delicious, but expensive. The tour is interesting, but a little anticlimactic. Definitely worth an experience if you can stomach the liberal politics they seemingly add to their ice cream. It's everywhere. There are also fun things for kids to do on the side. And don't miss the flavor graveyard!

Had a great time getting to see the birthplace of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream. The tour guide was great and had plenty of ice cream puns. My only complaint is that the tour didn't show much other than one viewing room where pictures weren't allowed. The sample was huge and delicious though and all of the small things to do on the property were really fun!

I went to Ben & Jerry's during my childhood so it was fun to come here with my kids. I am glad they have a fun and educational movie to explain the process (a more entertaining way to learn than listening to someone speak to a crowd about it during a tour). However, I was bummed to hear they were bought out by an international conglomerate. Too bad!! On the plus side, I was happy to learn they are staying non GMO and invest in sustainable farming and also participate in community events. That was great. The factory wasn't operational while we were there (another bummer) but the sample was delicious, the tour was worth it and the art on the walls is fantastic.

Premier ice cream makers of US.All different flavours are time tested and very good. Amenities provided are excellent and always there are a long que for ice creams made of milk, cream & sugar.

It was a great tour! The tour guide was the funniest goth girl I've ever met! She made it fun and gave lots of info. The Flavor of the Day was Sassafras (root beer) with a caramel swirl...yum!

I was pretty disappointed with this tour. Factory wasn't functional as it was a cleaning time, and the tour consisted of sitting us in a room to watch a video. Pretty lame. Flavor Graveyard is probably the most exciting thing to see.

We walked into the main lobby of the building and were greeted by the friend staff. The tour was rather short comprising of few segments and a sample area. Overall, I would recommend it. At the time of my visit, the factory was undergoing renovations meaning that their was no actual production of ice cream going on. But it was still entertaining to say the least.

Check out the flavor Graveyard if you can.

The flavor cemetery where flavors that were discontinued are laid to rest is my favorite part. Can be busy on weekends. Ice cream is not made on the weekends so you don't see the workers doing their thing. Every employee gets 3 pints a day free for each day worked.

Quick tour where you learn about the history of the company. Free sample of ice cream at the end is a nice treat. More for a fan of the ice cream than somebody who isn't and may not be as interested in it.
