It was a good experience overall. If you do just the tour, it is on the pricy side; however, the playground, flavor graveyard and live music add to the atmosphere. Tour consisted of a campy video, short tour of the facility, a sample of ice cream, and sporadic bad jokes.

It's Ben and Jerry's. If you are not sure if you should check it out, ask yourself: Do I like ice cream? Do I like frozen yogurt? If yes to either of these then Ben and Jerry's is a must visit! A beautiful location with amazing views, enthusiastic staff, and, of course, fantastic desserts Ben and Jerry's is fun for everyone. Just make sure you have a place to take a nap after all the yummy treats!
Tour was very interesting, learning about how the company started up and seeing where the product is made. When I toured, they were in the process of cleaning all the equipment. We got a special flavor of ice cream at the end that is not sold in stores.
Worth the 3 hours trip from Boston! Tour is entertaining, informative and delicious with samples at the end. Family friendly environment with a playground area nearby and good gas stops in the area.
Don't forget the Dearly De-Pinted Old Flavor Graveyard up the hill, totally worth it!!
It was neat to experience this because Ben and Jerrrys is delicious and the history is pretty cool. I love that they continue to be a socially responsible company, despite being corporate owned. The prices in the gift shop are outrageous though and the line to order ice cream was longer than the general boarding at an airport. It's overall a neat experience but definitely more corporate and commercialized than I expected.
Fun tour includes a short movie, a look at the manufacturing for from above, and a sample of ice cream. Make sure to get tickets as soon as you arrive since it can be a wait until your tour time. They also have a playground, art activities, a food truck, gift shop, and ice cream shop.
Fun experience and definitely recommend stopping by. Tour lasts for around 30 minutes and includes a 10 min video, a 10 minute look at the factory from above, and a 10 minute sample stop. Sample was delicious and there was even a park nearby for our toddler to play on!
Driving near the area & thought it would be worth a stop for a quick ice cream. Arrived to find huge lineups even on a weekday, can't imagine how busy it would get on a weekend. We didn't have time to wait so continued on.
First went here in 1990. I've been about 10 times in 28 years just passing by on random travels. Great pit stop to see what crazy flavors they might have and sit in the sun for tasty ice cream. Quick friendly service.
It's Ben & Jerry's ice cream, why would you not stop here?! Delicious! Tour was hokey but good cheap fun. We were here in winter, so can't comment on the outdoor stuff. Pose for pics and eat ice cream, enjoy!
What a "sweet" stop during our vacation this week! The tour guide Noel was great and of course we enjoyed a small scoop at the end of the tour. It was pretty packed but we expected that as it was during school break.
Always a good time! Whenever we go to Vermont during the summer, we always stop at Ben & Jerry's no matter how many times we have been there before. The tour is fun, the place smells like a bakery/ice cream parlor, and of course the ice cream rocks! Be sure to check out the flavor graveyard!
Quick fun visit. Tours run every half hour and you get a free sample at the end. The are slightly on the canned side but an enjoyable stop nonetheless.
Worst experience of my life. Rude. Unwelcoming. Tour is a waste of money. Incredibly boring. Never will return or buy their trash ice cream. Worst company in existence.
Great staff who keep the tour moving in a very entertaining manner by cracking jokes and dispensing interesting nuggets of information. The tour was surprisingly short but it was really interesting. If you can maybe call ahead or arrange your visit to find out if the factory will be in full operation, you'll get the most out of it. Good fun for all the family.
Experience has been greatly improved over the experience I had about 5 years ago. The place is much cleaner than in the past and while it is certainly set up for them to make money, they did a better job with the tours than in the past.
One word: Vermonster. Look it up then get your grub on. You can order at any B&J but why not fresh from the factory? Tour is great and the give you a free sample. Make sure to visit the flavor graveyard in the back!
Loved the short little tour, our tour guide was hilarious and super informative. Who knew there was a factory in Israel? We sample "Americone Dream," which is one of my favorites. I bought the tour ticket with a Tshirt and pint. I was sad to see the shirt I wanted in my size was out and I asked if the display was the size. It was and they were nice enough to grab it down for me!
The tour was nice, especially the taste of ice cream at the end. We went on a weekday expecting it to be quiet - surprise! Parking lots were full, there were tons of people. The line for ice cream was so long, we decided to skip that. But, we only had a 30 minute wait for our tour to start, and we used the opportunity to peruse the gift store and look around at the displays. The staff does a wonderful job! Learned a bit about ice cream too!
This place was solid. I didnt do the tour so I can't comment on that but I will say the line for a cone was rather long and slow. Staff was all friendly and the ice cream was great. I'd go again
A great place to tour and get ice cream, but don't take your RV in there over 30 ft. Very small RV parking and very difficult to turn around. Be there before 10 am and best the crowds. Very crowded after 11 am.
What child does not want to go to the Ben and Jerry's factory Ice Cream Tour? Yes - be prepared, especially in the warmer months fand high ski times - holidays and school vacation weeks for crowds and wait times for the tour - which is about 30 minutes and reasonably priced - seeing the factory machines running and production (mostly from windows - but the children will love it!) - and there is a flavor tasting at the end of the tour.
They have a great ice cream shop where you can get fresh scoops of many favors - and a Ben And Jerry's gifts store with t-shirts and fun items for the brand. IN the warmer months they also have a great playground for children and a flavor graveyard where retired flavors and never marketed flavors have gone to rest! Its a fun experience - especially if you have children - -
Fun little place with a large variety of ice cream. The tour was closed due to covid. Covid response is social distancing, and masks. Ice cream is still available.
So glad I got the tip from other yelpers to check in and get the tour for free, not that i wouldnt have spent the $4 but why not free! The grounds are adorable so we went and took some pictures before our tour started, it seemed like everything was closed though so the photo ops werent as great as they could be. The tour was nice even though they werent in production while we were there, I even learned something during the little movie. The tasting room was of course the best part of the tour and the taste was a good size for what was a free tour. Afterwords we headed out to the scoop shop for ice cream and they must always stay busy. They had 6 windows open and we were able to get through the line in about 10 mins so no complaints here! If your in the area be sure to check it out and dont skip the flavor graveyard, brings back ice cream memories and is super cute.
