I love Ben & Jerry's ice cream but was a little disappointed on the visit. The tour was very quick, about 15 minutes, with a short movie, few minutes looking at factory floor (no photos allowed) then a small sample which was nice, but only one flavour and no choice. There's a gift shop and small cafe but no non ice cream food. It would have been lovely to buy a proper lunch like a sandwich or burger then have ice cream after but no other options. Staff are friendly and free parking. If no queue for the tour easily in and out within an hour which is very quick if you come from a distance away. Feels like it could be improved to turn it into an all day attraction rather than quick rest stop.

Great place to spend some time in Vermont! The factory tour was interesting, included a free sample, and only cost $4. The flavor graveyard was also fun to visit. Cool and unique overall experience.

Fun visit for the whole family! You get to see how the icecream is made, learn some about the history behind it and the comoany and get to taste some new flavors at the end before leaving the tour!
Gift shop and icecream counter can also be found. There is also a decentky sized parking lot.
Only thing is you should check tourring hours before heading there. I've been there a few times and missed it once because of traffic and coukd only visit the shop and counter at that point, which is sad when you had to drive a good distance.

I can t really say much since we didn t do a tour coz of Covid19. I still give it a 5 star for customer service, bathroom cleanliness, relaxing seats outdoor and most of all, very delicious ice cream. We ordered nutty caramel swirl, salted caramel blondie, coconut seven layer bar, coffee coffee buzzbuzz and we we re very satisfied. My husband wanted to get more but we had to go coz we just stopped by on our way home from our trip to New Hampshire. Great place to get refreshments after a long drive.

Nice! B&J's offers a very pleasant "ra ra ra" tour of thier Waterbury factory followed by a tasting kitchen sampling. Maybe a bit brief and sort of functional from some perspectives.

Although they give tours seven days a week, year round (except for a couple holidays), if you want to see the factory floor in actual use as they manufacture and package ice cream, don't come on a weekend, and also call ahead to make sure they're not in the middle of the regular mandatory cleaning cycles when you'll be there. (Also, to ensure you get to try the best flavors, don't come on April Fool's day: this year's offering was Broccoli Cheddar Crunch!)

Be sure to reserve your tour before arriving. We didn't, and would have had to wait over 1.5 hours to take the tour. Since we didn't get to see the tour, the best I can contribute here is to recommend that if you really want to take the tour just plan it ahead.

We had been excited to stop here on our trip through the northeastern states, but ended up not staying very long, simply due to the outrageous amount of people. The wait for tours was over an hour, and even to get ice cream was about 20 minutes. I'm sure the tour and experience would be fun if less crowded, but we had no desire to stand in line so much.

This tour is a blast for kids of all ages (including the two in their 60s who came with me.) As long as you enjoy ice cream and some terrible cow- and dairy-puns it's well worth the trip.

This was a great stop on our drive to Burlington.

The tour is inexpensive, fun, and it's over in about 25 minutes. We watched a quick movie about the history of B&J, got to see the factory in action, and then sampled some ice cream (Milk and Cookies).

The gift shop is fairly basic, there's ice cream available for purchase outside, and a playground area up the hill for the kids.

Check out the Flavor Graveyard for some good laughs (or sad times if your favorite flavor is there).

Yum

This was a really cool place to visit! I learned a lot about how ice cream is made on an industrial scale. It was also interesting to learn all about the health, safety, and quality precautions that are in place to keep Ben & Jerry's the delicious treat it always is! This is a great tour for kids of all ages, complete with a free tasting of the flavor of the day. Be sure to arrive as early as possible and be prepared to wait no matter when you get there.

One minor complaint, the tour tickets are overpriced (though not as bad as they could be) as is the ice cream they sell outside the building. One would think that since it IS a production plant, there would be some sort of discount since it IS made on site. Alas, no!

Loved this tour and gift shop! I visited during the holidays and sadly the factory was not in production - apparently they send their workers home early for the holidays and halt production for a cleaning week. So pro-tip, if you want to see the machines running - don't visit during the holidays! Otherwise, great selection of products and gifts, neat ice cream shop, and the tour includes a generous sample of ice cream!

Extremely long lines, no parking, very muddy, when we visited multiple cars stuck in mud. Parking areas are grass and mud. We could not buy ice cream as there were 300+ people in line and we have a child in stroller.

nice friendly place. The facility is smaller than what one might expect for an ice cream "factory", but its nice, the tour is interesting and free ice cream samples in the end are a nice treat.

Living in Vermont we still enjoy visiting Ben and Jerry's at least once a year, its definitely worth the visit, although it can be pretty busy on weekends. Be sure to take the factory and tour, where you can sample a flavor not available in stores.

I use to come here with my parents back in the 80's and 90's. I just brought my wife and kids for the 1st time. One of my favorite areas in the world, and Ben and Jerry's just happens to be there lol. Fantastic tour, best ice cream on Earth, and the staff are very helpful.

A must see when in Vermont. Every year I visit friends here in Vermont from California and Ben & Jerry's is a traditional event during my stay. Just remember: a trip to Vermont without Ben & Jerry's is like pancakes without maple syrup!

6 minutes video + short introduction into how ice cream is made + one scoop of ice cream of the day = $4. I would rather use the same amount to purchase ice cream from the store outside.. It was less than 30 minutes tour really.. Nice ice cream, hence 3 stars.

Busiest family vacation week, 4th of July and they chose that week to not make ice cream and the tour boiils down to a college kids tour guide with no microphone and a cup of ice cream for $4.

Interesting place to visit. The tour in my opinion is a waste of money. 7 minute history video, short crowded views onto factory floor & no pictures allowed. Just go eat the great ice cream.

Tours happen every 20 minutes and tours are 20 minutes. Cost is $4 per person and it includes one ice cream sample in the end. It was very positive to learn about Ben & Jerry s story, commitment to local farmers, non-GMO foods and social justice.

We got there 20 minutes after opening and good thing we did. After buying our tickets for the 11:10 tour, the place filled up at a rapid pace. After our tour, the line was out the door. Ice cream was your typical cone of deliciousness and the atmosphere was great. It poured when we were there but by the time we left we were able to get out onto the patio and walk over to the flavor graveyard. Fun places for the kids and adults that love the brand.

Short tour with some nice scoop of ice cream at the end.
You don't get to see a lot of the process.
Long lines in order to buy ice cream.
Don't go there if it is not on your way anyhow.
Tour price is reasonable but the gift shop is pretty expensive.

Free ice cream. I am a trucker delivering walnuts to vermont and they gave me 2 absolutely free pints of ice cream. I loved their ice cream and i know that this is the absolute best place to get your ice cream from, they are good hard working folks. Thank you - roy
