I like going there to seeing how they do the ice cream.
decent tour, but i felt duped. the web site said tours were happening on labor day. unfortunately, they weren't making ice cream that day. so we paid to watch a video of them making ice cream
The second you walk in you are surrounded by the smell of fresh waffle cones which is heavenly! The tour is only $4 and they tell you all about the history of the company, the Ice cream making process, and they even give you a sneak peek at new flavors coming out and give you a sample of a popular flavor! Then you can enjoy the gift shop and buy yourself a cone!! Enjoy!
Good times. I don't know if its possible but it would be nice if you could taste test more than 1 flavor.
Inattentive staff and no atmosphere, a disappointment for such a lovely looking store and setting
Favorite ice cream ever, and awesome playground for kids 2-7 years old! Don't forget to check out the flavor graveyard!
Cant say much besides the ice cream was Fantastic. We didn't have time to do a tour or anything. But def visit !
Very disappointing visit the tour is small and pretty useless the lines to buy ice cream are ridiculous and more expensive than going to a store wasn't happy about this at all I won't be going back.
I liked the cows. The tour guide was great. I hate ice cream tho!
LOVED IT! We did the tour and I found it very interesting. I enjoyed seeing the machine that puts the lids on and also the huge box that the brownie chunks come in. The triple caramel ice cream sample at the end of the tour was the creamiest ice cream I think I've ever had.
Great place ice cream is great! I recommend the guided tour for $ 8 for a family of 4 with free tasting at the end! Super well explained and the guide is really cool!
Cool stop and an amazing place to see. I thought it would be bigger, but the best part was the tasting afterwards...which was never enough so we had to get more at the scoop shop.
This place is a must see for anyone visiting Vermont.
Is any trip to Vermont really complete without a trip to Ben & Jerry's? The Ben & Jerry's factory is a must stop for any ice cream lover. There is a guided factory tour, flavor graveyard (for retired flavors), gift shop and scoop shop on site. The ice cream is amazing, even better than usual, there is a large selection and if you're feeling adventurous you can take on the Vermonster challenge.
Enjoyed the 30 min tour which includes a sample of ice cream, Fun for all ages
This place is amazing! Cheap tour, delicious ice cream. Souvenirs are a bit expensive, but that's to be expected.
Small shipper, was loaded and gone in less than an hour
Really could have done without the social commentary. I don't go to an ice cream shop to have my social conscious enlightened. Just another brand I will avoid. Come on guys, you sell ice cream.
So born and raised in Boston . Have always wanted to visit Vermont mostly for this place ! And about two years ago we moved to vt . ( Colchester ) and let me say , this place is wonderful! Between the little play area for the kids , factory tours , gift shop and scoop shop ! Plus they have the penny makers where you put your change in and choose a Ben and Jerry s pattern ! Exceeds expectations ! Love this place !
I remember as a child being dragged to see where Cabbage Patch Kids were born. I wouldn't truly understand the desire to see such a place until I visited the place where my ice cream is born. It is definitely something that needs to be seen as a pilgrimage by my fellow ice cream fans.
Love the tour, a few years back they were under renovation so there was not much to view on the production floor but this time we got to see it all. I have an egg allergy so I have never actually had their ice cream other than the sorbet. At the end of the tour our group got their free cups of ice cream and the tour guide got me a substitute of sorbet but then told me I should try their new dairy free ice cream upstairs. I said I was allergic to eggs, not dairy, and then se replied that their new collection is vegan so there isn't any eggs either. So...because if this experience I finally can now enjoy Ben and Jerry's ice cream. I would have never even given it a thought. So, the staff is expertly knowledgeable about their products. Otherwise it is just a fun experience for both kids and adults.
Factory tour seemed somewhat superficial and rushed, but ice cream was delicious!
Short tour, but informative. Plus free ice cream tasting at the end of your. The tour price is very reasonable too.
It's the Ben & Jerry's factory. What more do you want? A+++
Deaf accessible tour without advanced notice! Just showed up and script was provided on the spot and tour itself captioned on screens in each room we moved to. (July '18)
It was a fun yet short tour where you get to eat ice cream.
Super clean place. Creative activities for kids like spin art and tie-dye. Great grounds with play stations for kids. A tour and of course...BEN AND JERRY s Ice Cream! Love the social engagement of this company!!! Bravo!
Over-hyped division of Unilver, the shampoo company. You can however get a maple walnut ice cream only sold here, and it is good. No shampoos or conditioners sold at this Unilver outlet - just ice cream.
Is there anything bad to say about Ben and Jerry's? Absolutely not. Staff were friendly, ice cream is fantastic, and it's all around a fun place to visit.
This is an amazing destination for your Vermont vacation,
Enjoy a tour of Ben & Jerry's Factory, it's very simple and family friendly
Constructive criticism-> There should be a more advanced tour for those interested in the more in-depth aspects
On your way out, try to tackle the Vermonster or Mini-Vermonster!!
It's an Awesome Experience!!!
We went on a free day and even tho the tour was very short and easy, it was worth the trip!
Fantastic place to visit and buy suveniers. Recommended
A lot of choices . A lot of waiting quite expensive
Was able to walk in on a Friday afternoon and jump right on a tour. The tour guide was friendly and kept everything entertaining. After a short video, we got to see the production facility which was really cool. They give you a sample at the end too. You can also then buy ice cream of souvenirs. Worth a stop if you love ice cream.
It was a little expensive boot they had some cool things to bring along to remember that part of the trip out day
There is going to be a long line, so just go ahead and prepare yourself. That is the nature of the beast when coming to such an iconic ice cream joint. Now for the offerings of ice cream, if you have ever had BJs before, they are most certainly going to have that flavor. If you get in line behind some ambitious people, it is fun to watch people order sundaes with 8+ scoops of ice cream... it s a sight to behold!
Always a bit crowded for my taste, but they do a pretty good job of handling the masses. Of course the ice cream is amazing. The tour is fun, but not spectacular - definitely a bucket list item, but not blown away.
Its a short 30 min tour that comes with a free ice cream sample. Its only $4 for adults but I think its worth it. Definitely go see the flavor graveyard and read the epithets for a good laugh.
Great tour and tasted some good flavors of ice cream
Very neat and enjoyable little tour of the original place for Ben And Jerry's Ice Cream.
The tour and flavor graveyard was interesting enough to hold my hyper active son's attention and not many things do.
The tour was not to long and the ice cream and staff were great! Make sure you check out the flavor graveyard.
U can have the best Ben&Jerry here. It is freshly made and tastes way better than the box u get from grocery store. Do not miss the tour.
Good place to visit if you are around Stowe, VT. Flavor graveyard is pretty cool where they list discontinued flavors on gravestones.
I like that they have flavors at the factory shop that I've not seen in the wild at one of their stores, or on grocery store shelves.
Super fun, tour is a reasonable $4 for 30 min tour, good company, interesting history, great to get the goods from the source.
Kind of boring and we didn't really get the whole factory tour. It was just one window where we got to see one small area. Pretty lame.
Very cool factory with great ice cream. While the factory tour is very short and quick, it's well worth the small price ($4 per adult as of June 2017).
This is always a popular stop for obvious reasons. If you don't have a lot of time, grab a cone and wander to the flavor graveyard-- it's the best part (besides the ice cream of course)!
This is a must see and tour while in the Stowe/Waterbury area. The tours fill up quick so expect to wait when you arrive. The scoop shop line can also get long so if you want ice cream expect to wait. The tour isn't free, but you do get a sample at the end! Love Ben and Jerry's so it lived up to my expectations. Visited during Christmas week and it was crowded.
Great ice cream, but horribly unfriendly employees. Don t know what it was, but from the minute we walked up to purchase tour tickets and had to wait for the employees to stop talking, to the ones in the shop and scoop shop no one was friendly or customer service oriented. And to give my 3 year old a scoop twice as big as you did for me and expect tips. Come on.
Neat place, but I really thought the ice cream would be a little cheaper seeing that it didn't need to be delivered anywhere! I guess wherever you can make an extra buck...right? Factory tours are currently $4 per person.
If you do come, be sure to check out the Flavor Graveyard...it's hysterical!
