The tour was pretty fun; when I went one of the machines was broken and ice cream wasn t being made, so I bet it would be better on a normal day. The flavor graveyard is not to be missed, though such a quirky idea.

Absolutely worth visiting the place if you are in Vermont. They have a lot of attractions and a very cool factory tour which lasts for about 15-20 mins and takes you through the entire ice cream making process. They have a gift shop, and a retail store too. There s a flavor graveyard for all flavors that don t exist and there s also the original Ben & Jerry s van.

Hey, it s the home of the famous Ben and Jerry s- how bad can it be?
Never made it to a tour because we were passing through quickly. I ve heard from people who have done it that it s well worth your time- if this is your type of thing.
We enjoyed eating ice cream outside and there was plenty of signage to read.
Great to see that Ben and Jerry seem to still take their social mission and activism seriously.
Vermont- great scenery- great ice cream- stop by and enjoy!

This is the reason we came to Vermont we went on a tour, but they were in the middle of cleaning so they weren't producing ice cream which was a bummer. Noel was our tour guide, he was knowledgeable and energetic. We then got a Vermontster and it truly is a monster. They put some of the toppings in the middle which is nice because you aren't eating all toppings at first and none left for the rest of the ice cream

Always packed. The tour is okay, but with all the cool things to do in the area, I'm not sure I wouldn't just grab a pint (or three) at the grocery and spend my time elsewhere in the area.

This would be a good stop if you're driving on the highway past Waterbury. This tour is very kid-friendly. Prices for the tour are reasonable (12 & under free). When the tour starts you walk up stairs to a theater room where a short film plays explaining the history of Ben & Jerry's. When the video ends they show you the room where the ice cream is made. There is not much detail, but it gives you a pretty good idea. After the explanation of how their ice cream is made, you go to a room where the tour guide answers questions and you get a taste of whatever ice cream they are giving away that day. After the tour you walk out and there's a place where they sell their ice cream. The prices are high for the ice cream, but that's not very surprising, to me at least. Overall I rate this tour a 4 out of 5.

First I love eating ice cream. Secondly, if I am in Vermont I definitely have to pass by Ben & Jerry's. It was a great experience stopping by one of the most amazing factories. My children also love their ice cream. Don't miss the tour, is $4 for the adults and if the children is under 12 is free.

Waste of time!!! $4 for a tour which consists of watching a video and looking out a window. The ice cream is not as good as years ago and is one dollar more per pint here than at super market. Don't waste your time here.

Over-rated and more like Ben and Unilever's. Tastes like it's made in a big factory, guess what, it is.

Buy Breyer's of you wany mass produced, find a real premium brand if you want to get what you pay for.

A "must visit" with the kids.

A "must visit" with the kids.
Its where it all began. Be aware that if you visit on a saturday the production line is not working.

When buying souvenirs at the Ben & Jerry's, be sure to check your bill before leaving the place. The cashier staff are not the most accurate. I was only purchasing one ice cream scoop and the casher ( Elliott ) charged me for 2 ice cream scoops. Unfortunately, I did not check my bill until I returned home.

Great to stop at after a day of hiking in the warm weather. Loved the cows and the flavor graveyard is neat to stop at. Love that dogs are allowed to stop and get a treat as well. Would have loved to do a tour but tours where closed due to Covid-19. Would drive out there again just for that.

We did a tour today on a Sunday very cool experience the tickets are $4 each and get a cool history and lesson on how their delicious ice cream is made. You get sample at the end. The tour guide was very funny always making a joke. You exit the tour to a gift shop with s bunch of cool items. As well the ice cream shop here is so delicious because its fresh. You can tell the difference. If your in Vermont definitely need to stop by here no matter how far you are. We drove 70 miles today to visit and it was worth it.

Shame on you Ben & Jerrys! Terrible tour . Really? $4.00 a person? A short video which would have been great had you not forced your political propaganda on us. AND ask for more donations?? I could not hear our monotone tour guide (except for her bashing of Haagen Dazs ). We were here for our kids and left feeling sick to our stomach. Take care of your customers! Offer FREE samples and give people a Choice whether or not they want to listen to your political propaganda - spoke little about your ice cream. Your 5 minute tour is robbing your customers
Here s a tip: Go to a Maple Syrup Farm and get a Vermont Maple Cremee!

#Update - I emailed Ben & Jerrys as they suggested and received NO response

The tour had some interesting features, but was not all that exciting. Though, the Flavor Graveyard is a must see! The inscriptions on the tombstones are quite funny and help us remember flavors of days gone by.

The ice cream is good. Long lines, busy, but it moves quick. The tour itself is ok. Quick in and out

The 2 star part. The video in the beginning of the tour starts off ok until the end! I didn't go there to listen to their political agenda I went to eat ice cream. Asking for donations for their left wing support is ridiculous. I won't be back

If you re in the area, Ben and Jerry s factory tour is fun to do. We haven t done the graveyard because we were there in winter. There s a playground for kids to run around. The benefits of visiting in winter are that you will have good parking spot, the tour group is smaller, there s no line for the scoop shop and it s not crowded in the gift shop area.

Nice visit not all inclusive explanation in American. But I appreciated the visit and the welcome. interesting to discover. The visit was free with a small tasting of the ice cream of the moment. Bought a bottle good value for money. I loved

At Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream factory in Vermont. Was going to get a simple strawberry scoop until I saw this "Wall of Heroes" which is work by incarcerated "artists". Needless to say I did not see a Wall of Heros for those who have never broke the law and avoided incarceration. So obviously I did not give them a dime for their criminal supporting ice cream. Nor will I ever buy it in the future. Ignorance at the highest level.

I expected a little more. There is a gift shop and a tour of 2 rooms of a factory. OK a look down at 2 rooms, because ice cream making is sooo secret. Packed parking. Packed seating. Lines to get in and out.

Colorful. Fun. Informative. The tour is okay. Inexpensive. We got right in. But we are visiting in Oct. my daughter tells me people often wait two hours in the summer to do the tour. I would not advise that. Instead enjoy the lovely outdoor spaces. Take photos. Let the kids play on the colorful playground. Eat ice cream.

Visiting the factory was a pretty cool experience.. Visitors are allowed to tour the factory, along with purchasing things on site.. This is a very family friendly place for all.. Inside factory tours are available for about $4.00 a person, while it's free for children, and seniors.. Each tour starts between every 10mins to 30mins, depending how many current visitors..

Plenty of parking is available for cars, and buses.. Factory tours takes you around different areas of the facility, where you learn history about the company, and see how different signature icecream is made.. The gift shop has souvenirs ranging from t-shirts, to signature memorabilia..

Outside of the factory you can buy there delicious icecream.. Tons of different flavors are available, along with other flavored treats..
