This would be a good stop if you're driving on the highway past Waterbury. This tour is very kid-friendly. Prices for the tour are reasonable (12 & under free). When the tour starts you walk up stairs to a theater room where a short film plays explaining the history of Ben & Jerry's. When the video ends they show you the room where the ice cream is made. There is not much detail, but it gives you a pretty good idea. After the explanation of how their ice cream is made, you go to a room where the tour guide answers questions and you get a taste of whatever ice cream they are giving away that day. After the tour you walk out and there's a place where they sell their ice cream. The prices are high for the ice cream, but that's not very surprising, to me at least. Overall I rate this tour a 4 out of 5.
