Belterra Casino Resort & Spa Review

Long wait for the buffet, but it was worth it the food is great, I had lots of fun. There's also a coffee shop called Nosh and in my opinion it's better than Starbucks.

Great steak and seafood at 19 and several black jack tables, three or four $10, a couple $15 and 25. Lots of smokers, and not Vegas style ventilation.

Had a great overnight stay. The room was great, nice firm bed, jacuzzi tub which separate stand up shower. Restaurants where great, and service very good by everyone.

Beautiful place, lots of entertainment! Jacuzzi was beyond wonderful in the room! Very clean place! Definitely 5 star worthy!!

Love the gameplay hated the room. I realize the room was a free comp but still it was pathetic the toilet clogged after first flush (they did send service to plunge) the bathroom vanity was cracked and chipped and the hot water got lukewarm at best when trying to take a shower. Very disappointing

Well for one the food at the buffet sucked, 35 dollars for a plate of food for one person had to wait forever to get through the line didn't win any money but Rodney Carrinton was good he was the best part of the day

Nice casino with a decent buffet and a sit down restaurant just off the boat. Parking is easy and plentiful space.

Moved here from a Holiday Inn express while on an extended stay for business hoping to upgrade. It seemed like most negative reviews were by people who were mad about losing money in the casino . Not impressed. The decor is in poor shape. The faux gold trim on everything is all scratched and tarnished. My bedsheets were stained. Even the lampshades in the hallway, I'll bet 90% of them are damaged. The kicker was having to run my tub faucet for over 5 minutes to even get water warm enough to step in the shower. The front desk just said there was nothing they could do about it. I realize that service was restricted for the covid virus, but my other hotel would at least service on a reduced basis. Here,they would not service my room at all, even when I explained I would be out of the room every day for work. If you are the kind of person who would sleep in a refrigerated box to gamble, you won't be disappointed.

They sent me an invite to stay in the hotel for my birthday so we went over there a month ahead and set it all up . . . But when i showed up they said i didn't have a room i wasn't even in the system . . I even showed them my paperwork they gave me when i set it up and they still said i couldn't have the room because nobody had put my reservation un the computer and they wouldnt work with me on anything!!!!! Never again!!!!! They need to get their Ps &Qs in order . . . They seem lost or dumb founded . . . What a nice place

Belterra does not give the same experience since Boyd has taken over. The maintenance on the machinery has deteriorated. The last few weeks the printing of the cash tickets has been terrible, the cash dispenser will not read them,the other machine will not read them either
This problem causes you to stand in long lines to cash in at the service windows,and no one seems to care.

Played the slots they where very tight not much fun. food was good

Had a nice stay. Food was good and the gaming was fairly up to date.

Buffet at the casino was amazing, new sign ups on their rewards give a discount upfront. Lots of different games at the casino, and live dealers are definitely a plus.

The room are smaller than I thought and old but overall we had a good time.

Just had a free room so my girlfriend and I stayed the night and went to the casino for a few hours! Didn't spend much gambling but had a nice night in a clean room!

Hotel & casino are going downhill year after year & rumor is it's going to get even worse. Casino slot machines are fewer and fewer, buffet is good, especially for breakfast but rumored to be going away, sports bar couldn't get the Sunday night football game, shops weren't open the posted hours. Disappointing stay.

Great place for a girls getaway. Rooms are clean and comfortable, the whirlpool tub is fabulous, and the casino is always fun.

Clean very lively being in the country with Ohio River views the food was tasty tons of things to do and I noticed in the bathrooms a Red box for needles which is a step up and the only place I've been other then a hospital to have one. A great step up to show safety for others keep up the great work.

Rooms were very nice, roomy and clean. Beds were comfortable. Price was very good. Didn't win at the casino (which was smaller than i expected) but still had fun. We ate at the sports bar which was a little pricey but very good. We go for the golf course which was in good shape as usual. Will continue to return every year!

Beautiful. Clean. Friendly. Delicious food. Awesome rooms. Great casino. Nice shops. Clean restrooms. The VIP lounge is nice but the food does need improving. Service is always good. Sometimes lines getting but all the staff are VERY nice.

Cool casino. Had a non smoking area with a few older games. At least they are trying.

Restaurants are okay, services is okay. But the boat is full of cigarette smoke and it's hard to get past how over powering that smell is

Rooms are quiet, comfy and clean. Staff friendly. I never win, so can't say the gambling is fun. The non smoking area is very smoky. The buffet is closed at times and there is nothing for many miles as far as gas, food, entertainment...zero. We stay bc the prices are very food when we go.

The casino was busy as usual on a Friday night but in all the years we have been going there we have never had such a bad experience. Only one of the ten machines to cash tickets worked. The lines were horrible. Even if you won money you couldn't cash the ticket. The line at the cashier was 15 deep and only 1 cashier working. The new owners Boyd Gaming should be embarrassed! No apologies from management and nobody even trying to help the customers waiting in long lines. Terrible customer service.

We usually go to the Hollywood Casino but it was my birthday so my husband and I wanted to try something different so we decided to try Belterra , we went on a Sarurday around 4pm we at first went to the buffet for dinner , it steak and seafood night . We got our plates and got in line (very long) proceeded to get our food and at the very end when you have all your fresh food on your plate that's where you stand to get your steak cooked roughly 15 mins to get our steak so our plate of food was cold. So my suggestion get your steak then your other food. It was very good fresh food. The Casino is a rather small casino but I liked it . As per usual free soft drinks & water. Most of the boat is smoking there is a few rooms off to the side where theres no smoking allowed. I took 50$ with me & won 200$ on a penny machine so I left happy. All n all we will definitely go back we just liked the atmosphere.

Great hotel and casino! Tons of table games and slots machines. Plenty of restaurants, bars, and 19 Steakhouse! Very nice.... rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, refrigerators in all rooms, double bathroom sinks, jet tubs and all around friendly service! Won't go wrong here. Word of caution, if you're a Baccarat player, you won't be happy. They don't have this game.

Stayed 3 nights Wednesday-Saturday very nice staff everyone we saw always said hello or small conversation. My one concern we were told there weren't any other rooms but smoking rooms which we accepted. After a few nights I thought there's no reason the rooms should smell this bad so I did a little looking around. On top of the cabinets in the rooms were emptied ashtrays cigarette buts and more. The dirtiest was a pregnancy test & the used sticks. This is a huge problem in all of the rooms as I checked our second room after finding the first. It wasn't as bad but still trash.

I thought that bringing this to the attention of the front desk that someone would have atleast called or emailed me but that has yet to happen so I'm guessing this isn't a concern to them.

It a nice clean place to go to have fun me and my daughter Terrie goes sometimes we win sometime we loose but we like going there it just take 1 hour there and 1 hour back from Frankfort

This hotel is very nice and beds really comfortable ..The Buffet is excellent..The casino had lots of games we like...We love visiting here...

Great food and fun! It was my first visit for the IFDA convention and I am definitely planning on returning for a nice vacation and a little bit of gambling.

Went there today as usual you hit nothing to help you play a little longer well it's a chance you take when you go.

We had a great visit with friends. Very nice rooms. Super clean. Food was pretty good. Casino is the only part of the resort that seems a little dated.

3rd time we've been and I can't grump at all except they don't offer a veterans discount on renting a room. But all is good.

I always have a great time at the Belterra. Everyone ia helpful and now that i am old enough i can enjoy the casino part of the Belterra which is as fun as i thougt it would be.

The Friday night buffet is delicious! The crab legs are fresh and the servers are friendly, especially considering the high volume.

I went to a chippendales show which was awesome then went into the casino for a lol while fun night!

Horrible horrible front desk service at the hotel. Long lines to check in - the receptionist left for 15 minutes - nowhere to be found. When I finally got a room it was smoking. I asked to change it - there were no rooms - but I could go 8 miles away at 11 pm at night. They said they would treat my room and I would need to leave for 30 min. When the person came to do this - I was told I needed to leave for 2 hours. The housekeeping person was very kind and apologetic. The story goes on - but I know the hotel will not care/change. What a disaster - it is too bad this is such a poorly managed hotel.
