Olympic Skating Center Review

We come here quite often with quite a few elementary age kids. They are very friendly and have reasonable priced snack foods for the kiddos.

Mac and the crew are wonderful to work with! As a Student Council Advisor for over 10 years, I have organized many events. By far, the Olympic Skating Center has been the best skating center in Central PA for hosting our events. The place is very clean. The professional staff do their best to accommodate every need including making special arrangements for a child with special needs. We can't wait for the next party.

I loved this place because at first I never knew how to skate, but then someone came and helped me!

It's a GREAT fun Place to go.. My son and I are here practically every skating session, they keep the place very clean, There are never any issues with people not getting along. Games and fun and the PIzza at the snack bar is yummy.. We love it here and Summer's we are here 28 hours a week at least.. GREAT FUN at Low Prices...Along with Skating they also have Zumba classes, which is a great turn out.. They have Wi Fi also, so if you can't skate bring your kids along and hop on your computer.. or in the other areas for sitting.

Great place to skate and have a good time. They also have a party room for birthdays and events.

Over priced, poor management, poor music, favoritism over employee vs customer interactions, and poor rules and rule enforcement.

They need new skates. They were falling apart and not working. Had to return in line skates two times. They kid was not friendly about it.

Lessons are good...my kid takes them. Sat afternoons are good time. All times but sat night are great. Saturday nights are a hot mess...can't skate, too crowded, horrible music to skate to, and full of tweens n teens taking selfies and generally being rude kids. I grew up skating here. Skip sat nights. Skate shop is awesome! They know their stuff. I'll always skate here and any skating need, go to this shop. Inexpensive also. They need to stop selling kids light up junk like flashing pacifiers cause they end up all over the rink. Maybe have an all adult night or no one under 13.something wo unaccompanied children fighting and cursing on sat nights. It looks just like it did around 1989 when I started coming here. As for "the old man" people complain about on reviews, get a grip parents. Hes teaching your rude, untrained kids some rules and societal norms. If you cant see the dry humor in him telling them to wait or stop or anything else he tells your rude kids w no home training, then go skate on a public sidewalk or stay at home. He's a nice guy who has been dealing w hoards of unsupervised, horrible kids for decades longer than you have been "parenting". Get a grip on yourselves w your judgements of how someone talked to your unsupervised, rude, delicate flower. Boo hoo. When owner wants to sell I'll buy it.

Like most skating rinks you feel like you are walking back in time to the seventies but my kids always have fun and most everyone is friendly.

it was sooo much fun and i ordered nachos and candy it was a good atmosphere
there is a lot of space to move the service was very good but not because there was one worker working and the others was on there phone. but it was and every one should go there.

The rink is a little worn and needs to be updated. Pricing is OK sometimes they have deals on Groupon. If you have family members who do not know how to skate they have a learn to skate program. They do not have bars along the inner walls for little ones like I've seen at other rinks. Also there is a sign "no outside food or drinks" however a party came in after our private party with crock pots and other items? Overall OK place to visit locally with the kids.

Fun for the whole family, unless you're like me and not up for roller skating. The staff allows parents to go in for free to keep an eye on the kiddos. If you're unsure, it's definitely a smart option. They have a lot of tables at the snack bar where you can be a fly on the wall.

Went for the new years party. My family was disrespected by the huge crowd of teenagers. Terrible experience.

Great rink I've been all over the east coast skating the floor was good and the music was on point!!

The grandkids had a great time skating and joining in the games.

Unfortunately this place is poorly managed. They employ undertrained people, and cheated our family out of a few bucks several times now. its not the fact that we lost some cash to his employees cheating my kids on change, that happens. It's about the fact that he's lied several times and dodged all responsibility.

Besides the fact that this facility is dated, dangerous, and poorly run, it's nasty, mismanaged, and run by a cheat. He's ruined skating for our whole family unfortunately, and I would never give this person my business again.

Just picked up my son and his friend, there was a fight out in the parking lot and apparently this happens a lot! Needless to say Olympic will no longer have myself or anyone I know as patrons.

Decent place to skate and great for Zumba classes. Kind of smells in the building and the bathrooms are in rough shape.

The people are great but there has not been any updates to the facility in 25 years

We had a birthday party here. First, they messed my daughters name up-we had to go to the front and correct her name so she could get a free skating pass (complimentary for birthday guest). We didnt get our drinks until 3pm after requesting them at 1:30pm. Our guests were buying themselves drinks, and worst of all we recieved a burnt pizza and when we asked for another, the young lady switched it with a pizza from the birthday room that was already cold. The only reason I am giving it 2 stars-instead of 1 is because my daughter enjoys skating there and regardless of our experience she had a great time.

It wasn't worth the drive....the $12.oo pizzas are 2 small and the location they have 4 parties is 2 small 4 a large crowd....

Everyone I've interacted with here has been so nice! My son is learning to skate and loves it here.

The place hasn't changed in the 20+ yrs since I've been there... But that's a bad thing. It brought back fond memories. Snack bar prices were more than reasonable and the staff was friendly. Would recommend. My only complaint was they didn't have my size in roller blades and I had to use quads.

If you happy in you know it grab some skates! I felt like a kid again. This is not for the timid. Be brave and break a leg!

i don't feel safe letting my kid skate there anymore.

it's cosmetically run-down but i can look past that. the staff is very friendly, it's clean, my kid always had fun, and it's inexpensive. but the last time my kid went there (and it is literally the last time she will go there) a riot broke out. police were called, kids went to the ER, it was bad.

i don't blame the business, i blame the clientele. maybe it's still safe to go during the day and not evenings, i don't know, and i'm not going to chance it to find out.

Plenty of parking and not too crowded. The food was not over priced and there was space for adults to sit down and do something else while their kids skated.

Its like stepping back in time as soon as you walk in the door. Plus they hold roller derby games here. So much fun!

A nice place to go and take your children, they'll love it, but take some funds for the children though you'll have to purchase stuff there... Lots parking, the staff are friendly..I would recommend this place to everyone

Terrible staff. Would not recommend going here. This place is sadly going down hill. We will be going elsewhere from now on.

Awesome place to take the family. Very reasonable food prices. Freshly sanded and waxed floor. Awesome staff and owners.

Olympic Skating Center. Olympic Skating Center is a great place to take kids and enjoy yourself. If you have younger children who are a little less inexperienced or if you are personally inexperienced, go on Thursday. There are less people and the music is more appropriate for younger ears. If you are a little more experienced but don't want a lot of issues and would prefer the latest music then go Friday. Saturday I would not recommend going. In my personal opinion its too crowded and just not the best crowd for some people. But its still a great place to go no matter what. But Friday and Thursday are the two best days to go to. There are two pictures I uploaded, and I will be uploading more after Thursday and Friday this week.

Great place for the family! Everyone is friendly! Plenty of extras for the whole family as well. The speed team is the best and the coaches are wonderful. The owners support the community, and the speed team. It's wonderful!

I love that they offer classes throughout the week...especially Zumba on Wednesdays! I won't let my kids go there by themselves on the weekends though...some shady stuff happening.

Rink floor is well maintained. Staff is friendly. Avoid Saturday nights as the teens and tweens take it over and the music they choose is no good. Inexpensive lessons, admission and rentals. Could use some TLC and get it back to it's former glory.

Very good experience each time I have been to Olympic Skating Rink. I love going with family, friends and elementary school groups.

We have attended public skates and school skates. We have had private birthday parties there as well with complete satisfaction. It is reasonably priced. The music is always good. The floor is well taken care of. The staff is friendly and attentive.

This is the best place for a fun night in Enola. The place is clean, has good snack bar food, and is very cheap. Check the place our for your next family night

Went recently to my daughters friends birthday party. I used to go as a teen and was on speed team. It brought back so many wonderful memories. The floor was in great condition and I was lucky enough to have a brand new pair of rental online skates!(still had paper in toe) The pizza they provided was well above avereage for any pizzeria, and the prices for the snack bar were borderline cheap! I went out to buy skates that night so I could go back more often!

Won t recommend this place to anyone. Disgustingly rude staff. The food is what you expect, frozen items that are reheated. The manager and his staff was unprofessional and racist. They lack customer service big time.

Throw back to 1980 roller rink. Limbo, hokey pokey. Family centric.

I asked may I have mozzerella sticks and the lady had the AUDACITY to say "Please".

Zumba classes with Cat are terrific. Keeps you in tip top cardio shape. The owners are extremely nice and the music rocks. And don't forget to rent some skates or host a terrific Birthday party the kids will never forget their event.

It was fun going to Olympic. It's a bit outdated, but, where else can you go roller skating?

Not a safe place to skate no one follows the rules they do what they want.Place is always packed with unruly people who don't care about anyone.Maybe the staff needs to enforce the three strike rule. It's hard to have fun in this place it's more like of a hang out
