Now on the 4th night of a 40 night stay where I have no hot water. Was assured that it would not be a problem again tonight but sure enough it is. Very frustrating.

It is rather dated, but not a bad place to stay. Literally a couple hundred feet from the lift. Indoor/ outdoor pool, fitness center, spa and a restaurant and bar. Lots of patio space for the warmer months and a decent convention hall. The rooms vary in size and accommodation, most I have seen are adequate for short getaways, and small to medium sized families. Most have full kitchens or kitchenettes.
We were here for a Love & Logic retreat so we saw only conference rooms but seems like a very nice place.
I appreciate the suite with the kitchen. -- The conference room was chilly especially Saturday afternoon -- I didn't catch names, but the front desk staff was very helpful.
I personally found the customer service terrible and the person who booked me the room talked about a nice room with a fireplace and a view of the mountains. Instead, I got a one bed hotel with a view of a freaking parking lot. When I called to tell then about the issue the craphead dude on the phone acted Crappy. Overall I learned there were no rooms. Also the breakfast was total garbage.
Very friendly folks, with a wonderful set of interconnected buildings. Good food, hot tubs, gym, and above all fresh snow.
Very good service, amazing views and amenities! Some aspects were in need of service, but I'm sure when winter hits, the resort will take care of them.
Horrible service
Room service wouldn't even answer the phone. Restraunt not even half full, but was "fully booked"
Great vacation. Pullout couch bed could be revamped. Great service very accommodating. Will return.
Kim Neilson was very kind & super helpful with me today with exchanging my gloves with mittens, I dont remember the rest of the staff names but I would give each of them 5 stars :D
Doesn't set itself aside from all the other resorts around here
Get on the mountain early to avoid longer waits at the lifts
Great near the slopes, rooms are cool, shuttle to town
Nice size resort with variety of options from restaurant to hot tub, latte to meeting rooms. -- Pillows on bed were too soft, not enough support. -- It would be nice to have some areas where people could work quietly on a computer, small meeting rooms 2-5 people and laptop friendly.
Hot tubs and pool. -- Customer service front desk Bella was terrible and the night shift assistant manager was terrible as well. -- Front desk Brian was a pleasure to deal with over the phone. -- Last two times I have had issues. -- Different price was quoted. -- Front desk was the very confrontational. Bella was very difficult condescending and disrespectful.
All of the staff was incredibly kind and accomidating. The room and facilities were almost as beautiful as the view of the mountains you got from the grounds.
Desperately needs an update in guest rooms. The carpet is way too old. On site restaurant s are actually OK, compared to those in town.
Love this place. Great facilities. Penthouse with 6 rooms was perfect for a family reunion.
This resort is my favorite place in the world. The views are spectacular, the food is amazing, the rooms are nice, we always stay in room 22210. It is such a wonderful place. There is a great game room for the kids, mini golf, a wonderful pool and hot tubs, and a ski lift feet from the doors. There is no better place to stay if you want easy access to ski runs and to the town of Breckenridge. In the summer there are hikes up the ski runs and a horse stable on peak 9 if you drive up the road. There is the Burro trail that starts right across the ski runs from the back of the resort.
The view is breath taking. When we got here we went out to see the view on the balconie and a beautiful fox greated us. Its was very clean and the pepole are very nice. Defanatly will recommend it to friends and family.
Perfect location slope side. Walking distance to everyhing. Very clean with many amenities
Beautiful place. Well appointed suite. Bed was comfy and led to a good nights sleep. Large property with tons of amenities. Pool spa restaurants deli and even a market for essentials. Would be however you would think you could get a complimentary cup of coffee in the lobby, or for that matter, buy one before 7:00 am.
Highly recommend, the original and still the best. The only complaint is that it is a maze trying to work through the buildings.
The suite is huge, but the shower took a long time to warm up. Lots of neat stuff in game room. Nice front desk staff. Very expensive though, and room staff does not replace comp items (I left empty bottle where they could see it) items or empty trash can when full.
Even when the place is old, it has very comfortable facilities for children, the service from the employees is very good, it has a shuttle service that takes you wherever you like, the pool with changing rooms is very good and the jacuzzis and outdoor pool is great fun
We stayed here for a timeshare presentation. Our room was dated and a bit dark and dusty. It would be perfect to split in the winter, but I would not be happy if we had payed full price.
Great Services at the Spa. The Therapist are the best in town.
I'm in a room with a full kitchen. Great rooms and amenities. I would come back here again
Overall we had a great experience! -- The rooms are severely outdated and need some fresh paint especially for the price per night, however Breckenridge is just a pricey place in general. We attended a wedding and had a great time. Food served at the wedding was delicious and we especially liked one of the servers, she was awesome. Staff in general was nice and helpful.
condo I need of many repairs. Should be gone through before renting out! -- Numerous things broken or not working in our condo -- Crappy place needed to be gone through and repaired -- Crappy condo with numerous problems
Best location on Breckenridge. Plus food is not overly expensive. Perfect skiing hotel.
Had a fantastic experience here at Beaver Run Resorts. There was a slight issue we had with a late check out but it was quickly rectified by the manager Mr. Kim. Mr. Kim was a excellent manager who really takes care of his customers. And I really appreciated all his help. That's what I love about this place is they believe in good solid customer service. The believe in taking care of their gas to making sure they have the most comfortable night's stay. I would like to see them have complementary breakfast. But that's really the only complaint I can ever have. It was to fantastic staying here and we'll definitely be back to see you guys soon. Thank you so much for the wonderful nights stay.
Overall Facility is good -- Room was hot. No airflow -- Several staff in the Conference/Banquet area were super helpful!
Staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful with our large group! The hotel was conveniently located and the meeting spaces are fantastic. The Beaver Run team executed meals and snacks with NO interruption to our event. Definitely recommend!
Conveniently located in the town of Breckenridge, not too expensive, friendly customer service, free shuttle available. Now after saying all that, their room service sucks, the elevators in building 4 is super slow. The colorado suite did not feel like a suite. But over all for the amount of money, it is worth it.
We stayed in building 4 in room 4429. It's privately owned and was fabulous. The room has a kitchenette and an amazing jetted tub that feels great after a day on the slopes. There is a ski lift right outside the building! The free shuttle service to and from town was prompt and easy to use. What an excellent stay.
Signing in they forgot 3 things. I had to go back because my keys didn't work. They sound irritated every time I ask for something from room service. Also, I called in 4 times for simple things like fire starters and they forgot 3 times.
Room was not ready by the 1600 guaranteed check-in time but staff was very polite about this and upgraded our room, which was nice! There was no shampoo in the room and we called twice to have some brought up so we could shower, this took quite a while and in fact we just gave up and showered without it. -- Marko at front desk was great, very professional and friendly.
Great hotel and great service in a beautiful location.
Such an amazing experience. Have been staying here for many years and will do so agsin
Great views. 1 minute walk to the lift. Book ahead far in advance if you don't want to over pay. But that's just common sense
The breakfast burrito was to die for, have never found anything so good microwaved and the perfect energy boost before your day on the slopes!
The lake is not close by but it's all worth the drive lots to do up here only bad thing it's crowded like everything else anymore
Nice hotel and resort, also has a conference center that works well for groups of all sizes.
In all fairness, Brian, the Cust Svc Mgr just made everything right.
Decor was nice, everything felt clean and comfortable -- poor maintenance/up keep on various items in the unit -- I would like to have available, later room service.
Beaver Run is ideally situated, right on the slope of peak 9. It's a bit dated, but still a great option. The on site restaurants leave something to be desired, but there are other great options in town.
A fantastic Resort I recommend everyone to own ownership
While the location of the resort is great, my experience was not great. I had two different guest service members hang up on me after requesting new towels (since housekeeping never came to clean the room), saw piles of dirty dishes laying across tables and stands in Spencer s restaurant, and had dirty silverware in the restaurant. Additionally, I had to complain two different times about kids running up and down the hallway, slamming doors. For the prices this resort charges I expect a cleaner atompsohere, better customer service and overall better quality. If it wasn t for the conference that had me stay here I wouldn t be back.
We loved the studio room with the Mountain view in building 4! Very clean, wonderful bathroom, beautiful view, good heat, bed was a little hard but everyone is different... Would love to stay again!
Wonderful hotel. Nice pool, conference rooms, rooms spacious. Will definitely return!
The resort is VERY dated and in need of a lot of maintenance. The staff is completely unresponsive, especially the front desk and managers. Don't leave anything (including ski gear) out were the housekeeping staff has access to it, they will take it.
Just over all a horribly bad experience, one of the worst in the past few years. Only good thing about this resort is that it's right next to the slopes.
Wonderful ski in / out place with lots of amenities
There were dirty dishes still in the dishwasher that never were washed before we arrived. And the mirror wall in the living room was dirty with fingerprints/nose-prints maybe from children.
Very nice place, visited while on my way to go skiing
This resort had anything you could want all in one place. The rooms are clean and the entire staff is friendly and helpful.
I was visiting some friends staying at the resort and as I was walking passed an employee, I noticed her crying, I stopped a moment to check and make sure she was alright. Upon some conversation she mentioned that one of her bosses had made a comment about how she dressed for work, and compared it to other ways she dresses. Why is it okay for people to be talked to like this? I understand the Food & Hospitality industry can be really tough, but things like this make it no better. Given that Beaver Run seems to be such a nice resort I would have expected employees to be treated with compassion, dignity, and respect, and not have to take unproffesional verbal jabs from management. The person who made the comment is the Director of Food and Beverage. I'll leave his name out for the sake of not ousting an employee, but I hope HR will do something to address this.
Spencer's has a burger for 19 dollars or so that is pretty good, and the soup bowl I got for lunch there was huge, which is a bit surprising for a resort where the drinks in the convenience store are over $4. If you do a bit of searching here you can save some cash.
A big plus is that it is right on the slopes. You can walk out and start skiing. They also have a lot of hut tubs, a pool, a workout room, tennis courts, and a bus service that can get you downtown pretty fast. The rooms have granite countertops, cable tv, and if you go up high enough a great view.
As for the cons, I should go with more permanent things first. The place ends up being a bit mazeish. I guess that could be a huge plus to some people but I was surprised to be just a bit lost as much as I was. There was also noisy construction work going on during the day, and the snow blowers at night can also be noisy...wanting to sleep in from the snow blowers only to hit heavy construction can turn a half day into a 2 o'clock ticket in a bad way. Also, while it was the only instance of this, the door on the room adjacent to ours was just gone, and there was broken glass outside the door and even inside the kitchen. It seemed to be from a bottle, and caused some worry to a few members of the group.
Overall, the people were relaxed and friendly. It had the right atmosphere and I had some good times there, so I'll take the good with the bad.
My family booked a suite with an extra bedroom. The suite was nice and well designed, definitely stay there again. Being at the lift was super convenient. We had a family member get sick so we didn't get out to explore the town, big bummer, but there within the resort and between a trip to the grocery store and we took care of all our basic food needs.
Awesome location on the mountain, could not be more stoked about the skiing I did with my family. This is an older building, while it could use some upgrades, it has a great atmosphere and I would absolutely stay here again. We're very accommodating of both my family and
Expensive. But all ski resorts have captive audiences
Location and friendliness -- Hard to get thorough and timely cleaning. Closing of daycare -- Bell team and front desk -- Dependable season long baby sitting
Pool setting -- Conditions of rooms -- Host at Spencer Dinner -- Loud noises, had to be moved. Rooms need updating, old, burn marks in carpet. One option for evening food. Market closed early.
Went in 04 and still at the top of hotels I've been too
You made it all easy. Thanks. -- Only issue was the sometimes confusing navigation with some elevators and steps closed for servicing. -- Irma (from NJ) at the front desk was wonderful and helped me find late night food upon my arrival. Tanique from Jamaica and Lauren from Illinois provided excellent and interesting service at Spencer's for breakfast. Wonderful young women all. Charming and eager to help and chat.
Nice resort.
Staff and Spencer's -- Room!!!!! It was worse than a motel 6 -- Brian - hotel manager -- We have come for years always believed it was the best resort in Breck even tho we are Hilton members but this stay the room was dirty, the bed too soft and broken down, and the hot tub that we loved off building 4 in dire need of refurbishing it had large cracked of missing cement around the top inside surface. EVerything looked very old. The staff was nice and friendly though and Spencer's fabulous. We has a steak dinner with a salad and the chefs are the best. The food delicious and the presentation beyond amazing. Beaver run still to us has potential. The location and staff are great but our room, the hot tub and other amenities need serious attention. For the first time ever I thought next time I might try another resort because the room was so not what I am used to even holiday Inn and Hilton in any city have better mattresses and cleaner nicer rooms. also our shower was bad. We were in room 4624 and I challenge you to go there and try to get the water the right temp for a shower. The controls don't work right it takes forever to get the water right. Terrible system!!!!!!! -- Already explained above. Unless it's updated.
Food was ok but the price for what you get is not worth it. The service was not good at all. I would recommend eating downtown.
Convenient location, friendly staff, homely accommodation.
Great location right next to the lifts however that's about all this place has going for it.
Very nice hotel but our room needed remodeling very badly. The couch and carpet were very old. The bed squeaked loudly and i think the walls and ceilings were not insulated because we could hear everything. Both bathrooms were very outdated and couldn't get the right temperature. Also extremely expensive. All that being saidwe still enjoyed ourselves but for300 a night we expected more
Signage to Building 1 in the garage is deceiving--the second level parking states access to building 1 but we did not find such access and needed to walk down a level in order to gain access (not fun carrying a hockey bag after 2 games).
