It was pretty good saying as though it was my first time.

Stopped here and had pizza one of the better gluten free pizzas out there. As you can see it is visible from I-70. Had a great time just meeting some mountain folk

Family Tradition, to eat at Beau Jo's coming home from the mountains. Pizza was good, but not the best we have had there. Wish they would clean the place up. Seemed dark and musty.

You find pizza like this anywhere else. The pizza itself can be pricey so I recommend going with friends to split up the bill, but it will certainly be worth it! The atmosphere is great too since it has such historical roots. I recommend the mountain crust option, you won't be disappointed.

A stop here has almost become obligatory because the pizza is so good

We drove to Idaho springs just for beau jos. The pizza was excellent but the service was not. The server was rushing us to order but then after someone else delivered our pizza, she never returned. We could not get drink refills and when we got our check our plates were not taken and drinks never refilled. I would understand if she was busy but she not as as she was visiting with employees most if the time we were there.

The food was great, service great and they had a sweet little birthday cake on a plate with Happy Birthday and my daughters name written in caramel sauce. Great experience in a beautiful area!

Highly overrated, overpriced pizza unless you really like crust.

Pizza here is great. Don't forget to douse it in honey and ranch! Service has always been good. Fun, family-friendly atmosphere. Great place to stop and carb-load after a long day of skiing in the mountains!!

Lovely place to stop in for a bit after the hot springs. I really loved thier skillet pizzas. I also loved the over all decor of the place. Who can not love a sale bar in two vintage cast iron clawfoot tubs?;

This was a unique dining experience for me. The restaurant is huge but feels cozy. Service was excellent, especially for how busy it was. Food was great, but fairly expensive. I would visit again.

This place was awesome! We had a group of 13 and everything was perfect from the service to the food!

This is my favorite pizza place hands down. Try to come just about every time I come back from skiing, and I ski a lot... If you have never been this is a must, especially if you are just visiting from out of state. The menu is pretty extensive with different sauces and got to get the big crust at least once. If it was a busy ski day just know this place is going to be packed. Pro tip: you can substitute any topping for anything else even meat for no extra charge.

Busy, good pizza, did take a while though and kids meals came out after our pizzas. Definately made it dificult to contain them because they were hungry.

Great friendly service! AMAZING PIZZA. The Colorado mountain pies are like no other! Make sure you get the thick soft crust so you can dip it in the honey! Trust me sooo good!! Definitely one of my favorite pizza places!!

I'm from Michigan and made my first stop at Beau Jo's back in 1985 and have made it a point to stop in when ever I'm close to the area. Was there again on 2-28-2020 and had a medium Dude Ranch for the first time and it was assume. Just love the atmosphere in the restaurant. Wish we had one in Michigan

Called ahead for a reservation and walked right in. The dining room was emptier than before, but the staff and the food were as great as ever.

Stopping at this Beau Jo's on the way back to Denver is a tradition. I love the pizza, and the atmosphere is great! The only reason why I didn't give it five stars is because this place is VERY popular! Expect to wait to be seated at a minimum of 30 - 45 minutes!

Great pizza with a comfortable environment in an interesting to visit town. Saving the thick crusts and drowning them in honey is the best way to wrap up a meal there. We have formed a tradition of spending a night in Denver, then stopping for lunch at Beau Jo's and visiting the Idaho Springs shops, then going up to the Summit County mountains as an effective way to acclimate our coastal based bodies to the altitude.

Best pizza I have ever eaten. Came in from Texas, and this was a must stop. The honey on the pizza crust will now be a family tradition. Bought a bottle of the local hotel eyes to take back home. Love this place.

This place is extremely overpriced. I don't care if it's the original or not. Just spent $20 on a pizza that we thought was going to feed the both of us (that's what the menu said) and it was barely enough to feed one person. And it was literally all bread. The crust is huge so you can put honey on it. How original. It's really nothing to go crazy over, people.

Cool experience in the town where the Colorado gold rush started (?) The food was average to above-average. The atmosphere was nice but a little dated and some of the cups and plates were on the dirty side. Server was very nice. Family friendly.

One of the best restaurants in Idaho Springs and places for pizza pies in the state. Full salad bar and lots of classic choices to choose from. Recommend the lil Italy or Yukon Mountain Pies.

Stop here immediately and get a mountain pie, you'll be glad you did!

I can tell you I bet this is a great pizza place! Something about it makes your mouth water!

Biggest reason to not get 5-stars is the price. Definitely seems like it caters more to tourists passing through to the resorts than the average local. Love the concept of sweet braided crust on pizza though. Ordered one of their seasonal desserts (skillet cookie or blondie of some sort) which came out goopy and undercooked.

I love the atmosphere, the staff, and of course...the pizza! Its been 20 years since I was first introduced to Beau Jo's while in college and its been a tradition for me to stop in Idaho Springs ever since. I'm already counting down the days till I'll be in CO again!

They told us a 30 min wait for 5 people, so we did a little shopping in the places next door. Turns out it wasn't 30 min at all, the most we waited was 15. Get the spinach dip and you won't be sorry. We had one thicker crust and one thin crust and had plenty of leftovers! Service was good especially for as busy as they were! I have loved Beau Jo's since I was a kid so it was a real treat to visit once again. And yes, of course I ate mine with honey on the crust! Definitely worth checking out!

Pizza wasn't bad but I feel the service wasn't great. She never asked to refill drinks or never came over for me to pay. I went up front to try and pay because I was sick of waiting. They flagged her down for payment. I probably will not return when I come back to the area.

This pizza is to die for. I miss when they had a location in Highlands Ranch but honestly I'll happily drive the extra hour or so just for the pizza and quality service I've received with each visit. It helps too that Idaho springs has cute little shops and the Tommy Knocker Brewery nearby. I love this restaurant so much.

What better way to start my long overdue return to Colorado than with Beau Jo's pizza and local craft beer in the quaint historical mining town of Idaho Springs.

Beau Jo's pizza came highly recommended by my friend as we made our way to Silverthorne from Denver International Airport. Negotiating Denver's traffic worked up an appetite for sure!

After being seated near the patio, which was closed despite the beautiful weather, we settled in with Tommyknocker Blood Orange IPA and garlic bread as we waited for our Hipster (ie. veggie pizza).

First and foremost, the marinara sauce was to die for! Topping the bite size garlic bread with the rich umami sauce brought the appetizer to another level. I can eat that as a meal!

Our pizza came in no time as I popped outside briefly for some fresh mountain air. The size of the crust lived up to its name and dipping the surprisingly light dough in honey is a no-brainer.

The savory vegetables with a little kick of the pizza paired well with the lingering hoppiness of the IPA. A wonderful fuel-me-up for a good start to my 4-day adventure in Colorado.

You have to visit the Idaho Springs area and check this place out. Beautiful interior and friendly staff that know their little city well.

Great patio views with shade, amazing pizza and beer list. Not NY style, do not walk in expecting that.

We love all Beau Jos but this is the OG and the rustic feel in the beautiful small town makes it our favorite post skiing destination. The servers are always upbeat and attentive for as packed as that joint can get. The mountain pie is epic but all their food is fabulous. A must try if you have never been!

Mediocre experience, slow service and very pricey. 8 of us ate here and none of us were thrilled with anything. Could go into all the details such as Calzones that were way underfilled with ingredients etc. but that would be too long of a review. 2 stars because our waitress was friendly; otherwise 1. We won't be back.

Best mountain pizza you'll find at this elevation. This place is usually busy so put in your reservations. Even if you don't, Beau Jo's is worth the wait.
