Delicious pizza and make sure you're a bread lover if you do the mountain pie crust! Great choice for my liking. For the cost it is a tad high for the amount of food you're getting but you're kinda paying for the uniqueness and or experience of the place. Would recommend!

We ordered one pizza, half Hamburger & Sausage Combo, half Yukon. Both sides were good but I liked the Yukon best. The only down side was that the Combo side of our pizza was hard tobeat without all the toppings falling out when you bite down. With the cheese only on top of the toppings there was nothing really holding it together. Putting honey on their wonderful crust made for a perfect dessert.
My friend and I were in the Beau Jo's Idaho Springs restaurant on 10/20/17. We sat down and our server Chewie was very nice and even allowed us to switch tables once seated by the hostess. We ordered a couple beers and our food. We arrived around 11:30 and order in by 11:45, can't remember the exact time. Chewie came out around 12:30 and stated that the kitchen had dropped both our pizzas as we ordered separate pizzas and that they would have to make them again. Rush on them as he stated. Asked if we wanted another round, sure, thinking these may be on the house since we had to wait longer. We're both in the service industry and have well over 15+ years in the industry. We understand things happen, but strange both of ours were dropped. We finally received our pizzas and were delicious. I have dined at this establishment twice before. When we received the check, we were both dumbfounded that the manager nor the server took it upon themselves to administer a discount or take off the round of beers. We wouldn't have ordered another round if they hadn't screwed up the food. Neither of us said anything, but I thought you should be made aware. My experience, I would think you would want to do something when patrons wait over an hour for 2 small pizzas. We're not the kind of customers that want to cause a huff, but it would've been nice if something was offered for the wait we endured that Friday. Thanks, Rachel
Beautiful Jo's is a Colorado staple. It has been around for as long as I can remember. The Mountain Pies are like no other pizza on Earth, thick crispy crust. Pizzas are purchased by the pound (the weight of the dough). They have many options available on the menu or you vcan make your own. The atmosphere is fun and decorated like a mine, great for ages young and old. Also, they have a great simple salad bar and something on the menu for everyone. If your passing by in I-70, be sure to stop for some amazing Colorado style pizza.
This place was AWESOME. 10/10 would go again. If you do go, you should get the mountain crust. The atmosphere is truly one of a kind and despite the constant flow of people, the staff always find time and are very kind.
Probably the worst service I've ever had. Was lied to twice on the same visit. They kept making up times that they would stop carry out. The waitress tried to change my order and wouldn't let made order what I wanted. They sat us 10 minutes before close without telling us they were closing. They then proceeded to be rude to us since we were there late. Pizza is okay, but not worth the wait and all the BS.
Loved the pizza and the atmosphere. The restaurant is huge and the decor embodies the mining town it is located. If you walk through the restaurant there is a place where it looks as if they are mining the restaurant. Really cute. The pizza was incredible. I would recommend the lil Italy mountain style. You can keep the outside crust for the end of your meal and place honey on the top and eat as a dessert. We enjoyed our dining experience.
The pizza is delicious , I have tried several pizzas around the globe and this is definitely one of the best. We got the XL pesto chicken pizza and it was just amazing, must try. I liked the mountain crust it come with some honey so you could dip the crust in the honey ( great idea), high quality honey.
Hurts me to not give 5-stars...because we love this place. Unfortunately, our experience this go around fell short in the appetizers. We ordered the "Harty Arty" and it came out to our table cold. We asked the waiter if he could get it heated up, he quickly took it back...only to bring it back out in just a few minutes. While it was warmer...the dip in the middle towards the bottom was still cold. We gave up and just asked for a box so we could take it home to heat up. That said...the service was excellent and the pizza was hot and delicious.
Pizza is to die for, especially the crust. But the buffalo cauliflower is not the best. Friendly staff and overall nice cute place. I love the napkin drawing wall especially!
Didn't have a super experience. My wife ordered a beer and was refused because she didn't have her purse to provide ID. She is 47 and clearly not under 21. This has never happened in other restaurants. Service otherwise was marginal.
Cool old building and some interesting historical items. Nice beer selection as well as drinks. The pizza was pretty solid, be sure to ask for honey for all the Colorado-style crust. I'd rate higher except I waited nearly an hour for my food, on a weekday, granted summer time but I think the bar staff is over-tasked.
I love the atmosphere and the mountain crust is really unique and pretty good. That said, I tried some linguini with marinara sauce and it was honestly inedible. To the point that I didn't eat any at the restaurant and took it home to doctor myself. I don't think I've ever had to do that before. It tasted like someone had watered down a can of crushed tomatoes, threw in such a tiny amount of spices that they were tasteless but ever so slightly visible, and called it a day, which is CRAZY to me since marinara sauce is so simple to make and the staple Italian sauce. I'm hoping that there was a mistake in the kitchen and, since my family loves this place, I'm sure I'll be back to give it another chance.
I was visiting from Florida before the birth of my granddaughter. My son,my daughter in law and my granddaughter ate there. It was delicious.Best pizza I have ever had!!!
Imagine taking gourmet french bread, and putting pizza toppings on top, and that's the level of awesome that is Beau Jo's signature pizzas. Ordering the 4 or 5 pounder size is recommended, because you'll regret not doing so later ... :)
Everything was amazing! Best mac and cheese I've ever had! Mine had prime rib, bacon and mushrooms! Plenty of different meals to pick from! Speedy service and friendly staff.
