What a delicious hidden gem! Housed in what looks like an old general store or mine, this place served up one of the tastiest gluten free pizzas I've ever had, as well as some of the best fluffiest GF garlic cheese bread. Our server was kind enough to warn us that the dessert options weren't too amazing. Great experience.

It was great!! And the crust was to die for. We had the mountain man crust. The bottom crust was nice and thin. Then you got to the outside crust they provided honey for it. So it was like diner and dessert all out of you pizza. The staff was delightful as well. One of the pictures is half of a calzone. The other ones are a large and small pizza.

Their pizza is absolutely delicious and will not disappoint!
They now have gluten free and dairy free options!

On busy days, expect to hunt for parking!

If you are driving through Idaho Springs you MUST stop and eat Colorado Rocky Mountain pizza!! It is a staple of the town and the pizzas are just simply amazing! Make sure to put the local honey on the crust and bring a huge appetite!! Service is fun and friendly! The restaurant itself is very unique and beautiful! I have been coming here over 30 years and love it every time! A must try if you are passing through, convenient location right off I-70 there is a waterfall you can see just go to the back parking lot and walk over to it, Indian hot springs is close also!

They have really good pizza and their regular crust is sooo good, you can put honey on it. They are pricy but they put a good amount of toppings on your pizza. The staff is nice and it s clean.

They are trying to make "Colorado style pizza" a thing. Doesn't matter if they will making it or not, their large pizza are awesome for 2 big guys or 3 people.

If you want a medium or small size pizza, you can always ask for the "large size crust" for it.

I dream about this place all year waiting for my vacation in Colorado as I live at least 3 hours flight from Denver!

I love this place. Moved to Nebraska before my youngest was old enough to remember eating here. So on my way from Grand County to Lincoln Nebraska I took home a Take-n-bake Mother Lode. It was so good! I miss this place.

I love Beau Jo's! This is my favorite pizza in Colorado and I always try to go there when I visit Colorado. They have many locations, but I think the one in Idaho Springs is my favorite because it's in a old mining town in the Rockies and there's a Tommyknockers brewery right down the street that you can go to get some delicious beers at also! Go check it out!

They have an excellent selection of beers. And they have a very tasty pizza selection. The only thing that I wasn't thrilled with was the pizza crust. They make the crust very thick and supply honey to dip it in. Which was very nice but I would have preferred more topping area.

I ve given this place numerous chances and I ve officially called it quits. The final straw was a few weeks ago when my husband and I were coming back from Walden after a terribly failed camping trip, very hungry, we called Beau Jo s to place an order. Spoke to a girl named Aspen and told her we d be there in 40-45 minutes. We get to Beau Jo s, I walk up to the to go counter to find out my order was never put in. I was told, sometimes the computer deletes orders. I m pretty sure Aspen just didn t put my order in. I was told I could place an order at that time but it would be around 30 minutes. I left rather furious.

food was great building was great lot of history the waiter that we had could have been a little bit more of 10 have told us about the pizza and put in the honey on it then never brought the honey to the table we are done eating 25 minutes before he came back to give us our bill just I don't know maybe new waiter too many customers or just lazy waiter almost done with this shift either way turned a really good experience into an average experience all the other table seem to be fine with everything they needed our waiter was just slow but a place I recommend just don't get that waiter no names mentioned though

We finally got a chance to try this place out. We were very happy with everything. We all got individual pies and everyone was very happy. Service was great and friendly. Salad bar was small but everything was fresh. If I ever get the chance to go back I definitely will try a the 5lb pie!

Great service, pizza, and beer. Very interesting style of pizza and including honey to use for thick crust was an extra treat. Also, we sat on the upper level, which was a cool setting inside of an already unique building.

They are still the happening place in Idaho springs, staff is fully dialed in with masks and spacing. What a pleasure to sit down and have a pepperoni pizza hot out of the oven that burns the roof of your mouth, quenchef by a cold mug of draft ale.

One of my all time favorite Colorado restaurants. This one is nestled away off I70 in Idaho Springs and probably the best Beau Jo s I ve ever been to! The food quality is everything you d expect and the restaurant itself is incredible! This is definitely a destination restaurant and well worth the drive!

I love pizza...especially Beau Jo's mountain pies. One of a kind take on a classic. Everybody gets dessert straight out of nature's oven. I've often wondered how much they spend on honey; no doubt a small fortune.

Their pizza was ok and it was expensive. For a large pizza it was +$27 and it was only 10". The service was also nothing special; we needed to ask for refills and plates. The ambience was really cool.

Yummy and filling. Perfect after a day of skiing. We were adventurous and tried the steak on the pizza which was cool to try but maybe we'll stick to more classic pizza flavors next time :)
