We had six adults, so we ordered a large pizza with half veggie and half dude ranch and a medium motherlode. Three of us also had side salads, and there was plenty of food. The crust is made to be dipped in honey afterward, so it's like a built-in dessert. The drink menu had a diverse and full beer list to choose from. I highly recommend this place.

Great pizza! Best pizza in the Rockies!

Great pizza! Best pizza in the Rockies!
Get a mountain pie. Eat down to the crust and then pour honey on the crust for a fabulous dessert!
If you are the healthiest of eaters, they have a cauliflower crust pizza.
Lots of beer choices.
Idaho Springs is a great location.

We came here after a long day of rafting and it was delicious! We got a BBQ chicken pizza with regular crust and loved it. The crust was thick but good I recomend asking for something to dip it in. Service was good. The place was crowded but everyone seemed happy and the flow of customers was steady we didn't have to wait at all. Great atmosphere. I'm sure there's some history behind that location, it had a very relaxed but old-time feel. Amazing experience, we'll be going if we are ever in the area again. Nom-nom

I ve gone to this place for about thirty years now. Unfortunately the customer service has gone down hill and seems just a little bit worse every time we return. I understand COVID-19 has caused quite a bit of disruption in everything service , but this has been going on a for a while now. The food is ok too, but has also been declining. I hope they turn things around before we decide to stop going there.

Great find on the way back from a day of skiing. We grabbed a a few appetizers and two pizzas that were loaded with tons of toppings. Everything was awesome and it definitely helped us recover after a long day.

It's pretty spacious on the inside with nice a dining area and bar area. The pizza seems a bit over priced but it was well worth it. Very delicious with a lot of options.

Beau Jo's has long been a staple for the hearty post-ski or -hike meal. Even having lived in Chicago for many years, this is my favorite pizza place. The salad bar is small but awesome too.

Amazing pizza! Appetizers are on point. Hot wings and stuffed mushrooms, Cajun pizza, the crazy meat lovers one, Amazing!!! The restaurant itself is totally cool! The old rustic style and seating is pretty fun feeling.

But, need bacon at the salad bar.

Very unique dough-loved the crust with honey! We tried the Dude Ranch pizza and the toppings were not overwhelming. Unfortunately, their wings are probably some of the worst I've had in my entire life as they were extremely soggy and slimy and nestled on a sauce drenched bed of broken tortilla chips.

It s slow for service. The waiters are not attentive. You shouldn t have to even ask for a refill; it s a given with all the crust and honey. I felt like that the waitress was more concerned with a select table instead of making rounds to all tables in her section. Go to a different location if you like this place, but it s my observation that this place has lost much of the luster it once had.

If you're looking for pizza either in Idaho Springs or driving towards Breckenridge, Beaver Creek, or Keystone, stop by for some pizza. You'll absolutely love it. Known for the bottle of honey to put on the crust, mmm. Friendly staff, good prices, Fantastic pizza.

Pizza is EXPENSIVE... spent $44 for a XL pizza + 2% service kitchen fee. Crust is cool but taste of pizza was nothing to write home about.

Atmosphere is cool. Definitely a family friendly spot. You can tell this is a popular place, had to wait but not for long.

beau jo s used to be my favorite place for pizza. it s still good when it s not too busy. however, if the restaurant is full, forget it. we dined in and ordered two pizzas and both were soggy. they probably just pulled them a little sooner than they should have because it was so busy.

Since I was little, Beau Jo's, in Idaho springs, is one of my favorite traditions in Colorado. When I lived in Denver, we ALWAYS stopped here for a delicious and filling meal after a day on the slopes. Now that I live in Summit County, I meet friends or family from the front range all the time.
I've eaten at a few of the other locations as well, and the food is always great, but the feel and history of the original is my favorite

Beau Jo's has always been one of my favorites. I haven't been to this location in several years and it did not disappoint. Our server was great and the food was good. Great parking area it back with easy access.

The wait was 2x what they originally said. We went on a Tuesday. Told it was going to be 40min. Turned out being almost 1hr 40min. The service was subpar. I drove 45min and passed the Arvada location just to go there and was disappointed. The pizza came out o.k. I can only imagine what's it's like on the weekend.

UPDATE: Asked for details (by management) to my less than desirable night there and never received a response.

Great pizza. I love the salad bar as well. This is the original location and also has a mine shaft inside that you can look down. The staff is always friendly and the food has always been good.

The pizza was really good, we had a simple half cheese and half pepperoni with wheat crust. I like the pizza style too, it's like a thin-ish hand-tossed crust but with a thick and high edge. I didn't know about using honey on the crust edge but it was tasty! Also, who doesn't like an unlimited salad bar?

If you visit this on a weekend expect a long wait and although worth it, it's always the case. Weekdays are not busy at all. Great Colorado pizza. Always go with the mountain crust if you're visiting from out of state. We also love their chocolate cake dessert. Salad bar is fine but we've found not worth the price unless you are going to eat a bunch.

Besides the fact that the food is great, they have amazing staff! My daughter needed a pad and they don t sell them In the bathroom so I asked the bartender for one and she got the manager who found us one! They went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed, it was very much appreciated. Something so small makes a huge difference

Great experience with our server Chuy, he was very friendly and even made small talk. I felt more like I was eating at my friends house because of his attitude. Have had a lot of mountain pizza and will always stop in for a honey drenched Za.

By far the best pizza I have ever had. For once, instead of being the sad edge, the crust is actually what you look forward to! It is the perfect balance of crisp and soft, and they give you a massive bottle of honey to dip it in! The pizza-y part of the pizza is great too, with classic and unique topping combos, including pesto chicken pizza which is actually amazing. The seating is great, they have amazing social distancing standards, and the decor is really good too! There is a mine shaft in the entry room, and there is a chart of the various types of mustaches. Would rate it 6 stars if I could.

This place was recommended by my Lyft driver. They offer two pies, a mountain pre and the prairie pie. The mountain has curled up crust on the edges which allows for more quantity of toppings. Plus, when you order the mountain pie, they bring you a bottle of honey to put on your crust. We ordered a half margarita pizza and half 4 cheese with basil pesto sauce. Excellent! Highly recommended!
