Nice waitress really good pizza everything went really well until we laughed had to exit through the bar the children we're looking at the mining area behind us and we told him come on let's go and they ran to catch up and the bartender yell no running to the children which was a little hurtful after we spend so much money in that joint. Maybe they should have a sign up that says no children may enter through the rear entrance of the bar although it does say enter here with no restrictions thanks anyway appreciated the hot food.

Six of us dined here and all were very happy with the entire experience. The pizza is called "Colorado Style". It has a thick tasty crust and a very large amount of toppings. This is one of my new favorite pizza places.

Best pizza in Idaho Springs without question, and my favorite pizza West of Denver. I make a stop in here every time I pass. The wait isn t usually that bad. All of the sauces are flavorful and the toppings are fresh. Vegetarian or meat heavy, they re all good. Cant beat the flavor of putting honey on the crust when you re done, too.

The pizza is really good and they have a variety of pizza you won't find anyplace else. The crust is s bit heavy but some people are really into it. Great food. The Idaho springs location is extra cool with the east portal to the Phoenix gold mine tucked away inside

Love the pizza and salad bar and the old building and atmosphere is cool but other Beau Jo's have better service. They're always kind of slow here. Also, I sat in a chair covered in honey, told the waiter and he said thanks and put it at another table without cleaning it and then they sat another person in it before I could warn her.

We had a lovely time and our waitress was really nice. Trouble is the next day let's just say the food faught back. I am not sure what oils they are using but let's just say they where not digestible and caused Leakage. Yeah I know TMI but both my wife and I had the same issue. The food tasted great but wow did we pay for it.

My party of two enjoyed a thin crust pizza (8 small slices) with classic red sauce, mushrooms, and turkey pepperoni. Additionally, I had the salad bar ($6) and my husband a lemonade ($3). Everything was DELICIOUS and cost $27.

Setting: Casual restaurant with lots of seating. Located on the main in street with views if the mountain side.

Drinks: Fountain drinks and alcohol offered.

Groups: Large groups can be accommodated.

Pricing: A bit pricey for a very small pizza with two toppings. However, given the wonderful flavor of the pie, would buy it again when in the area.

Service: Quick and friendly.

Parking: Street and lot available for a fee. However, parking was free on the day we visited.

** The turkey pepperoni tasted like turkey bacon, especially the crispy slices. Eight slice pizza was slightly larger than a dinner plate.

If you like pizza, this place is worth to try. The mountain pie has regular thin crunchy crust in the middle plus thick crust on the outside, which you can dip in the honey (it s a thing for this place). The crust is crispy and the bread is soft. They also have thin crust pizza as well. 1 pound mountain pie can be good for 2 people if not super hungry. The thick crust is definitely filling. It s a bit of wait, but worth for the taste! I got the hamburger and sausage 1 pound mountain pie, and I enjoyed it!

I first started enjoying their amazing pizza when I was a college student at Boulder way, way back in 1975! Eating at Beau Jo's was as much of an "event" as the day of skiing at Copper or Vail. It made the day complete, and it is as great a place today, as it was all those years ago. Some things are true "classics", and Beau Jo's is one of those places. Keep it going!

The mountain pies are a Colorado classic that should not be missed. This original location is also quite interesting. Combine that with the friendly, efficient wait staff and it's easy to see why it's so popular. The prices are high, bordering on ludicrous though.

Fantastic pizza! Best crust around! I didn't give it a full 5 stars due to I was with a large group with reservations and it seemed they were not fully prepared. Not enough cups and plates and so we had to wait.

This was my second time at getting a pizza. 3 years ago I had 2 pizzas with my son. We sat down and had a good meal and good service. It was a bit pricey ( we added toppings but the amount of toppings were small ).

This go around was during the whole Covid19 deal. I ordered a pie to go with extra toppings. Yes, it was again pricy but everything again tasted good and was fresh. The topping portions were small.......again.

I do recommend if you are able to sit relax and enjoy the ambiance and pizza.

It s just normal pizza like anywhere else except for the crust and honey combination. It s the honey which is so yummy and tastes so different. Good customer service, Michelle was so amazing with her suggestions and was friendly.

I liked the concept, menu options, and overall the food was good. Better pizza than most restaurants. But I wanted to give this place 3.5 stars since the execution was problematic. The Sriracha hummus came with frozen veggies that thawed into mush. Dipping the pizza crust in honey was okay but a spicy marinara would be better.

Great atmosphere, great food & a wonderful staff. I had what is probably the best pizza ever here. I'm gluten-free & dairy free so I chose the Mediterranean Pizza without cheese.........AMAZING!
We came from Wisconsin to visit my cousin & his family. After hiking & shopping in Georgetown we stopped here for a late dinner. We also watched the Badger game & relaxed.
Thank you!

It's a Colorado tradition. Whenever you're in the mountains and going back to Denver you have to stop and get Beau Jo's. This is the original location. If you have not tried mountain pie pizza what are you waiting for. The mountain crust is great pick your pizza from recommend topping or make your own. For appetizers I recommend the Honey Cheesy bread. It's so good. We always order a bigger pizza so we can have leftovers. Also try honey on the mountain crust at least once before you think us Coloradans crazy. They also have a great selection of beer for the thirsty. So next time you're on your way back or to the mountains try stopping at Beau Jo's for some Pie.

We went for my boyfriend's 40th birthday. They let us decorate the table and bring in our own cake. They also give a complementary chocolate moulton lava cake for birthdays, which was SO delicious that we didn't even get to the cake we brought ourselves. Service was amazing! Friendly, attentive, and timely. The decor is warm and inviting. The artichoke dip appetizer in a bread bowl was amazing! And the pizza was fresh and the crust is delicious with their clove honey to drizzle on it.

Covid-19 specifics: Tables were very appropriately distanced, all staff were wearing their masks correctly and keeping with social distancing, as were all patrons. The restaurant, bathrooms included, was very clean. We felt very comfortable and safe. Thank you for contributing to a great 40th for my boyfriend!

We love Beau Jo's. Service is great, pizza is unique to Colorado and always good! The atmosphere is fun in an old mining town house. Salad bar is a little lacking but we generally don't go for the salad.
