Love the pizza dough for the mountain pies. So soft. Best with honey drizzled on the crust

Nice place where you can make your pizza both your dinner AND dessert.
Not the best pizza. It is a Colorado icon. The building is interesting.
Great pizza! Beau Jos is a Colorado staple and is well worth visiting if you are in town.
Great staff. Yummy pizza! Honey for the crust was a fun, delicious twist.
I haven't been to this place since 1976 and it was just as good now as it was then.
They have the cutest environment that truly adds to the delicious and fun dining experience! I look forward to every time I get a chance to come here.
The Pizza was good and different, have tried it for the first time. ( Although few people from my party didn't like it ) ! Good service.
Never heard of Colorado style pizza, but it's pretty good. Super thick crust served with honey on the side, thin bottom similar to NY style.
A great place to stop and take refuge while waiting for ski traffic to die down! Beau Jo's mountain crust is fantastic and offers something a little different and unique compared to your average pizza shop.
Great space and excellent service, but the pizza overall was quite disappointing.
Pizza is delicious after a long day on the slopes. Would recommend.
AMAZING pizza and I love their signature honey on crust combo.
Great food amazing service and location location location.
I drive over an hour for their Dude Ranch mountain pie. It's best at this location, and its become an obsession for me.
Pizza was amazing. The service was very very very bad. Bartender was our waitress. She was unable to keep up with her 5 tables even with just 1 couple sitting at the bar. Asked for manager. Waited no one ever showed so we left. The waitress who delivered our food got us refills. Bartender she was snippy. After taking our order we didnt see her again at all umless we were looking at the bar area, until we paid the check. Worst service and management crew ever. But the pizza was amazing. The wait for a table was long and I thought that was because they were just that good but now I believe it's because of the service! City mail carrier for 20 year's now and if I delivered mail in Idaho Spring's I would tell every person asking me where to eat to order the food for pick-up only. I regret going. Even with the tasty pizza nothing about the experience is something I ever wish to relive.I gave them 1 star because the pizza was good.
Huge portions of great pizza. The mountain pies are unique without being gimmicky, very good.
Std beau Joe's food great quality. We had some rowdy people at the table next to us. The manager took care of the situation. That was awesome. Thanks.
Pizza was good (I hope you like crust), but if I knew we'd have to wait an hour before being seated I wouldn't have gone.
So many options. Mountain pies with the best crust around. Love dipping in hney after you finish a slice.
Pizza was excellent on cauliflower crust. Our server was extremely nice
Great food and beer. Can't go wrong with a chicken pesto mountain pie!
the original beau jos. Stopped by here on the way to mt Evans with so. Make sure to use much honey
Great pizza but always very busy after skiing. And downtown Idaho Springs is not bus-friendly.
It was good honestly. The service was a bit spotty. It was very busy as well with about as many kids as a chucky cheeses. The pizza was basically homemade bread with canned pizza sauce, decent chesse and quality toppings. Overall not a bad place not write home to mom worthy, but worth a visit none to less. Plus honey to eat the crust with is a novel idea in any case.
Fun and lively pizzeria with quirky touches set in a saloon like interior! There was a 15min wait, which isn't bad considering you can burn time exploring the neighboring stores along Miner Street. The all-you-can-eat salad bar (note the bath tub setting), when paired with an entree, is a great deal! Enjoyed the Colorado style pizza, with its bready and braided crust, and isn't as heavy and filling as initially suspected (like the Chicago style). Finishing the crust with a squeeze of honey is the best way to end the meal!
If you want to try some mountian food and a classic Colorado original then this is the place. There's nothing better than having an amazing pizza here and covering the crust with honey as a wonderful treat.
Best freaking pizza I've ever had! Atmosphere is phenomenal. Service is personalized and warm.
Delicious pizza! The dough is very unique and worth trying. Salad bar option is also nice. Very friendly staff!
Had their Sky Hawk pizza with pepperoni and green chili s. You can put honey on the crust for an extra treat. Stop in for a pie when I m passing through Idaho Springs. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Summer is tourist season so expect about a twenty minute wait.
Long wait even though tables were available. Food was ok
The Mountain Pie is the BOMB !! A little pricey but was well worth it. Great Atmosphere!! Claw foot bath tubs as the salad bar was way to cool. Very fun place. Staff bent over backwards to make sure experience was good. Be back next time in Denver area.
I am a little confused on the price of the pizza. We got a Large Pizza and while the price of the sauce (3$), cheese (3$) and 3$ per topping. Our pizza ended up being 42$. For 1 pizza this seemed like a lot. While we knew we would be paying an additional $15 for sauce, cheese, and 3 toppings, we did not know the crust would be $27. We were not comfortable paying for this because it we felt we did not know the cost before ordering. All that said, the pizza was so good and we loved our pizza and thank you so much for having Vegan cheese!
Pizza is decent...
Loaded with toppings..
Some say its pricey..
I say you get what you pay for..
Salad bar is Over the top..
Pies are Huge..
Service Excellent...
I will be back..
Next time bigger appetite..

Best gluten free pizza we have ever had (and we've tried many). Great, friendly staff, too.
They have gluten free crust and decent non dairy cheese. I'm in love!!
Place is a must go to if we dont go to the one in Evergreen and this one it's just wrong
Excellent service, delicious food, and even when they are busy you get seated quickly since they have so many tables (they do not take reservations, first come first served). If you want something other than pizza their salad bar is fantastic and I had multiple bowls of their chicken noodle soup. The Idaho Springs location is definitely our favorite.
Very unique pizza offerings in a unique old mining town. Great atmosphere and a lot of fun!
Apparently, the honey is for the pizza crust ...it took us a while to figure that out. Colorado style pizza is just me, but this place does a good job
I love going to this place. Been going there since is was a kid. Always good food, friendly staff. I will be back for more!!
The service was timely and excellent, and the pizza was everything we wanted after hiking up Bierstadt - flavorful, just the right amount of cheese, fresh, and the tradition of honey on the crusts after the pizza part was done made it a unique experience!
The tables were spaced evenly apart outside and some were kept empty to comply with COVID guidelines. The menu was accessible through a QR code posted on the table.
Our dogs were allowed to sit with us on the patio, and it was a pleasant and chill meal with a view of the Idaho Springs water wheel and waterfall.
Love this place. Cool old building, good selection of beer, and DELICIOUS pizza
Always an amazing experience this particular time I happen to have left my iPad sitting on the table as I grabbed my pizza to leave I had to drive all the way back up from Denver but they did have my iPad was very grateful
Nothing better when you are coming down off of the mountains. It is my favorite pizza. But then again, what isn't really good after skiing or hiking?
This pizza was outstanding. Make sure to order the mountain crust
Great , dip the crust in honey - it's delicious. Cool historic building as well.
Took a drive to Idaho Springs while visiting Denver. We got there just as
most places were closing and of course hungry. Eating out can be difficult for someone with a gluten allergy. We called ahead and asked if they offer Gluten Free, but also if they take steps to prevent cross-contamination. and they do!
The staff was super friendly, the atmosphere of the restaurant gave you a feeling of what the town is known for. The town was established in the early days of the Pike's Peak Gold Rush. Throughout the restaurant there was relics of that time era.
We ordered a half Yukon half BBQ Hawaiian Gluten free pizza, and it is by far one of my all time favorite GF pizzas! Fabulous!
Highly recommend stopping at Beau Jo's pizza if your passing through Idaho Springs, CO.
Delicious cocktails and killer pies! We happened upon this while wandering this super cute little town. They had a great little salad bar and gluten free Pizza crust
Went with family including a 10y/o and 13 y/o. We loved it.
The Pizza was really amazing, but I wasn't a fan of the crust, it was too dough-y.
