Pizza with a twist. First time I ve eaten pizza where the crust can be turned into a pastry just by adding a drizzle of honey. But hey, it was phenomenal! Make sure you choose the mountain pie dough option if you want the same incredible experience!
I'll give them a four because the pizza was great and the atmosphere was nice. The server never stopped by the table except to take the order, drop off the food and leave the check. I had to get up to fill my own water from the pitcher in the waitress station.
Delicious pizza but a little pricey. I did take out so can't say to the service and other things.

I was a little underwhelmed due to the hype of friends but It was still some of the best pizza I have ever had. With all the options in the menu and the great ambience this restaurant is worth the trips from Denver. Perfect service was also a feature!

This place is awesome. We always stop here on the way to go skiing. The pizza is nationally legendary and CANNOT be missed if passing by. Make sure to put honey on your crusts for desert.

Love Beau Jo's, a Colorado institution! Been coming here for 30 years and it's always a treat. Staff are always accommodating and friendly to our large groups, and the pizza and atmosphere are certainly unique! Gotta try the mountain pie crust with the honey, it's one of a kind.

Always seems busy but they are really good at getting you seated and served. Pizza is unique with the big crust, but great flavor and ingredients. Think of it as built in desert. Fun and funky historic building. A must get there when in Idaho Springs.

Very disappointed. Watched people seated after we ordered eating their meals. I assume it would have been good if we had received our food. It was sitting in the pick-up window when we left (who knows how long) with no server in sight. No one even noticed we walked out.

This is the best Beau Jo's in the state because of the environment of this old western mining town building. Beau Jo's pizza is unique. The taste is solid and the toppings are always plentiful. Good beer selection and a cool place to take out of towners who want a local experience. Obviously try the honey with the crust.
Been stopping here on they way back to town for more than 30 years, and it never disappoints. Great pie, great appetizers, old school salad bar, and honey for the crust!

Pizza is okay, crust is a little too much-but overall decent. We grabbed a pizza after a ski trip- I was absolutely baffled by the price! $50 bucks for a large with roni, peppers and onions. Yes it satisfied our hunger, but DAMN that s a pricey pie!

Quaint little town. I love the feel that people walked those streets hundreds of years ago, in a different era. And the restaurant gives me that same feeling. I walk in, look around, and I can feel the spirit of days past. Then there's this cool mining shaft in the back of the restaurant. The brick on the walls is old and crumbly. You must come in and feel the days of old for yourself.
Now for the food! The salad bar is fresh with a variety of toppings, the pizza is delicious, although I prefer a thin crust, but I did enjoy eating the thick crust with honey.
The pasta is delicious too and uniquely served in a bowl of crust. Come by! You'll enjoy the food and visit.

Not my favorite pizza. Just my preference I think. Some of the toppings also left something to be desired either freshness or flavor wise. I liked the sauce and the crust was decent. The service was outstanding, hence the 3 stars despite this not being a personal favorite. I can see why people would like it though.
I mean, it's Beau Jo's. Do they really need more reviews? Amazing pizza! Great salad bar! Great beer! Anytime I have visitors, we always make a trip here. Repeat visitors expect to go every time they are here! Love love love Beau Jo's!

We called our order in today about 7:00 told them we'd be there about 8:00 this evening shut up at 8:00 and didn't have our pizza ready. Or pizza took 45 minutes after we arrived for carryout. A little disappointed this time.

The pizza is delicious, the salad bar is awesome, the bar has snacks, it's in a beautiful town tucked in the Rocky Mountains and the perfect way to follow up a relaxing day at the Indian Hot Springs!
Amazing pizza! We have heard good things about Beau Jo's so decided to stop on our way through to the mountains. Up first was the tremendous service. Friday noon rush and we were seated immediately with a great server ready to help us as this was our first visit. She was knowledgeable and made great suggestions. The honey crust garlic bread was amazing, as was the normal garlic bread. We were able to order an incredibly tasty 1/2 pep and 1/2 mother lode (all meat). Again, tremendous service! What a great experience! We will definitely return.

Thank you for your reply Mr. Owner. Did you read what you wrote? I almost died laughing. Hard to understand that you actually believe it's dangerous to walk in a restaurant without a mask but when you sit down it's safe to not wear one. If you can provide just one ligitimat research study /paper that backs up this practice, then I will walk in with a mask. I can provide you with numerous studies showing these masks cannot stop the spread of a virus. I even just had a physical. My doctor did not even have a mask. Think back when you or someone went to the doctor sick. Did they or you wear a mask..no. I'm concerned though for your employees health since they are required to wear face diapers. My family is in the medical profession and they are seeing a lot of respiratory issues from people who are wearing masks all day. For guests it is guidelines. What if the CDC told you your employees had to wear a plastic bag over their head? Would you comply?
I am a grown adult, child at heart. I'm a father. I can take care of myself and family and keep them safe. I don't need you or the CDC (Center of Disinformation Control) to tell me what or what not to wear or how to take care of myself. But in the meantime, stay seated at those tables so you don't catch a big scary virus.
Do not dine here. They refused service to me after years of my business just because I'm unable to wear a mask. They think I'm a transmitter while walking in but not while sitting down. The search for intelligent life continues...Very rude hostess too. Claudia is the name discrimination is her game
The food was great! We got a Mountain pizza and ate the crust w/the honey they put on each table...unique & delicious. A medium was plenty to feed 3 adults. My kids loved their food, too. Plus friendly service to top it off. We only waited a few minutes to be seated during lunch rush, even though they were packed, and it took ~15-20 min for the food to come out. All in all, we had a very good experience.
Amazing pizza. Toppings are bursting with flavor but not overly juicy so the underside of the crust is still crispy. Busy but they have plenty of seating for everyone.
Best pizza truly unique to Colorado the cheese cake cookie is amazing and the wings incomparable great atmosphere and friendly service I never went thirsty and our server Sierra constantly checked on us definitely would recommend and will be returning. Definitely worth the drive from Denver.
