Beautiful experience. Will definitely come back again.
Beautiful experience. Will definitely come back again.
Close to home, friendly staff, great food, nice hotel rooms, great indoor and outdoor pools and hotjobs. We will be going again soon.
Great place for guests. The employees do their very best to make your stay as perfect as possible
I visit the restaurant and it was a great experience, the food was really good and the service even better. I highly recommend it!
My husband and I visited Bear Creek Mtn Resort for our anniversary. We travel a lot and we loved this place. The rooms were nice, staff was unbelievable, food was good and slopes were just outside the door!
The room was really comfortable. They have all types of rooms with couches that fold out. So if you have family with you, there is plenty of room. We were just by our selves so we didn't need the extra fold outs but we thought is was really nice to have the option of sharing rooms next time with family.
The bed was really nice - the mattress was comfortable and they had a really nice comforter and new pillows on it. I have been to 4-star hotels that didn't have beds that nice so I really appreciated how nice the bed was. The towels in the bathroom were also new and really thick and fluffy. Housekeeping came each day and did a great job in the rooms. Overall the room was really nice and well decorated.
The staff were my favorite, they were all really great, all of them were extremely helpful and hospitable. Each time we ran into staff, they said hello and asked us if there was anything we needed. We appreciated that because we have been to so many places where staff just walk by you without speaking to you. So in my opinion, that is why I would revisit this resort, I valued how we were treated. For example, we were in the hot tub and one of the staff stopped, asked us if we were enjoying ourselves and asked if we wanted him to put the jets on for us. Another example was at the front desk, they gave us recommendations for the local restaurants, showed us around and also gave us an ice scraper for our car after it snowed. At the ski rental shop the guys there were cherry and helpful and were very nice to us. The spa staff were the same. Overall, staff could not have been better, they really went out of their way to make sure we were having a good time and enjoying our stay.
The food was good at the bar/restaurant. We had salads and a cheese plate and service was top of the line again. So across the board, staff at this resort gets an A+.
We also skied while we were there. The slopes were fun and the lines were not bad at all.
I would definitely recommend this resort to my friends and family and I am looking forward to going back again before the snow melts.
Great job to the Bear Creek Mountain Resort! So glad that its within driving distance - we will be back for sure!
Great place to meet friends have a party or just have a date
Great mountain bike trails. Just be prepared the steep hills are no easy climb and there is no off-season lift service.
Attended a wine fest here two years in a row the staff is nice, the facilities are clean and well kept, and the view is breathtaking.
The Grille Restaurant is a wonderful restaurant there that has excellent food. Since we were there for lunch, we sat in the area by the large windows where you can watch the skiers. Very nice.
We only went so that my child could play in the snow. For that, it was a blast for her. We had some coffee, chocolate and cup-ramen, a bit expensive.
Nice place for families with kids. But that's it. Don't expect to go to sleep before 11 because there are kids running in the halls and yelling. Yelled at/scared one, which was pretty fun.
Bear Creek is a great place. Today I was a little annoyed that they waited till 1 to open up the other lift, even though for hours it took 30 to 45 minutes to get on the lift. Other than that, I've been here many times and the runs are great. I'd recommend it to anyone but avoid the busy times cause they aren't in a rush to get you up the mountain
Had a great time at Bear Creek. The slopes look amazing, the buildings are fantastic looking, and the ballroom we were in was just beautiful.
We had a blast here and can't wait to go back. We skiied and snowtubed, and enjoyed both! The staff is really nice, they gave a great lodge and fire pits outside to get warm! Prices were good.
Beautiful, quiet, and comfortable. We celebrated our one year anniversary and got to relive our day all over again.
I attended a company Christmas party here. The place is beautiful and so well decorated/furnished. The staff were all professional and good at their jobs. We had buffet style dining and all of the food was delicious. I can't wait to go back and hang out there!
I loved hitting the slopes here. This was only my 2nd time skiing and I learned how to stay up a little better. Can't wait until the kids are old enough for their mom to teach them like she did me.
Amazing place Lubbock great people great conditions
Went for skiing. Trails were decent and there were plenty of lifts. Not a huge number of trails but enough to have a satisfying experience. Good mix of difficulties too. I would go back.
It was only a day trip on the grounds but will definitely be visiting resort in near future. Rustic yet upscale, lovely fireplace sitting areas with beautiful views to nestle with a book for those not wanting to hit the slopes.
Wonderful family resort. I will be coming back soon.
Great time skiing, but ticket window and then separate rental line take way too long. They need to improve efficiency, especially at a small, crowded mountain with high prices. The ski school was a disappointment for my 11 and 13 year old. They have a lot of work to do to justify those prices.
Very well maintained slopes... Awesome terrain park!!!
My fiance and I are getting married at Bear Creek Mountain Resort in June of this year and our experience in planning has been absolutely wonderful. Lisa Geiger and Laura Lederer have honestly been so incredibly helpful and accommodating. They are extremely quick to get back to you and are overall such friendly, kind and caring people. Since talking and coordinating with them from day one, it feels like I've known them forever. They truly care and answer every question so clearly and thoroughly and not once have we felt stressed in planning/getting the information we need. We are even more excited for our wedding day knowing we are in good hands over at Bear Creek. HIGHLY recommend :)
It was very nice, a little crowded but very spread out.
Not enough vendors at wine festival so the tents were crowded.
Great time, good place for all level skiing and snowboarding. Good covid procedures as well! Two thumbs up
Just got here ate it to grill it was good get back to you later
Love the location. The Garlic and Cheese festival was fun but most of the vendors were for wine. That was dissappointing
Went for skiing / snowboarding only. Lift tickets were cheap this late in the season but the slopes themselves are not amazing. Otherwise, very good.
Great facilities. The discovery lessons are amazing for first time ski or snowboarders.
Went in to snow board. Purchased an adult lesson and a lift ticket with boot rentals. The training session started out okay in the cornered off pit. First major gripe was there was not enough individual attention at the top of the carpet. Older students were passed by even when they asked for help because there were younger students in the group. Second major gripe is based on population per area. The lodge was ridiculously crowded to the point where it was unpleasant to sit and eat lunch. Thirdly safety. We watched a young woman badly crash while getting off a lift. She landed right in front of the landing. The operator neglected to stop the lift and only slowed it down which allowed the next passengers to get off with her still in the way. This caused them to dive to avoid her unsuccessfully. He didnt seem to take responsibility for the situation and tried to have the person's partner thrown out for asking why he didnt stop the lift. Not a good experience at that point
I attended the Wine Tasting on Sunday, October 23. It was a bit crowded when we initially arrived. By 1530 it was less crowded and we were able to revisit tables. We enjoyed the live music and food vendors.
Attended a wine festival here. The winefest itself was ok, but nothing special. What I was impressed with was the fact that when the resort staff could not locate a bottle of wine we had checked, they bought us a replacement to get us on our way. I was very impressed and found it very refreshing that someone cared. Thank you.
Typical resort food and accommodations. OK but not great. Access and parking very inconvenient.
READ THIS IF YOU PLAN TO STAY IN THE SUMMER!!! My wife and I stayed over on a Saturday night in the summer for our anniversary and we definitely had our ups and downs.
First off, the facility is wonderful (it looks brand new) the outdoor pool was lovely and our dinner on the Grille patio was delightful. The staff was very nice and we walked around the facility and everything looked well taken care of. Once the day ends though, it's a different story.
On weekends in the summer they're loaded with wedding parties (3 at the same time for the night we were there) and unfortunately they stuck us with a room on the first floor between the two lobbies. We're both in our late-30s so it should have been a peaceful night without kids but instead, starting at 11pm when the wedding receptions ended, we got drunken 20-year olds yelling, and slamming doors outside our room and then banging from the room above us from 3-5am.
We complained multiple times to the front desk to no avail. In the end, the manager gave us $25 bucks off the bill, not nearly enough to make up for our one night away. I don't know why they don't put non-wedding guests in another part of the hotel but apparently the wedding parties are more important to them. In all, it's a great place to go during the day but definitely request a room away from the action.
I had a great time skiing here, the slopes were fun and the facilities were well maintained
I only been here once a long time ago. The other day I gave someone an Uber ride there and walked in to use the restroom...the lobby looked great!!
The restaurant was very nice, the meals were of a good portion and quality. The ski lodge area with tables was nice, but very crowded and hard to find a table. Nice view of the slopes
Excellent staff, very nice location, room service... great place.
The food is always good. The kids love the lessons. Great time had by all.
Took my wife and son there for there first time skiing! Great slope for beginners! Very nice resort and staff wuz very helpful. Choices of food and the food could use some work. But all in all, a very enjoyable day at the resort. We will b back. Thank u.
Loved the resort, I wish they put fresh snow out more often since even in the mornings when it was fresh, some spots were very thin and packed.
Such a fun place to test your skiing skills and spend time with friends/family! :)
Wonderful stay. Nice rooms. Lots to do on the resort. We used the heated pools.
Went snow tubing way over priced and then even had to share tubes they over sold it
Took the family for a day trip. Beautiful, spacious lodge. Great trails. Efficient ticketing and ski rental. Very friendly staff. Didn't get a 5 because the extreme inefficiency of the food service and the lifts are a but slow and lack the foot rest bar (my kids hated their feet dangling as it makes their ankles hurt by the end of the long, slow ride up)
We went to the Grill for dinner tonight. The service was great and the food was perfect. I had the ribeye, it was cooked to perfection! I highly recommend.
You have to practice social distancing and wear a mask inside and on the lifts, but gators work really well for that. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. Shout out to Karen at the front desk and Mike who gave my kids a private group lesson for skiing. My kids really liked him and did a great job instructing them. All 3 eateries were open and you could bring food in with you. Overall, it was a great family trip and first time experience for the kids.
Food is kind of overpriced, it's still delicious, but you should bring your own. I won't comment on the conditions because they can't really control those, otherwise pretty decent. Staff are pretty good.
This resort is PHENOMENAL. I stayed for 2 nights for my girlfriend s birthday and our anniversary. Both of the lobby s are beautifully set up, and very cozy. They keep fresh lemon & cucumber water at all times, which is great. The manager on duty (can t remember his name) was so helpful and sweet. The front desk associate, Mark, was polite and went way above and beyond for us. We enjoyed the spa, got massages and tried snowboarding For the first time while we were there. I encourage you to try The Grille restaurant that they have on site. The food was delicious, a little bit higher priced, but definitely well worth it. The room was quaint and tidy. The ONLY thing I would like to kind of complain about is that there aren t any deals on outdoor activities even when you re staying as a guest. There should be more package deals!! But besides, that, we were incredibly happy! Thank you so much!
Great place to visit! Inside n out or stay! Summer or winter!
This is a great, beautiful, clean and friendly place for families with various abilities. Hotel is ski on and off. Food is good; from chicken fingers to custom salads and sandwiches.
Not too small or too big from a skiing/boarding perspective, be realistic you are in PA not too far Philadelphia. We go multiple times every year with our 6 year old. Stay sometimes and others just for the day. Too close and nice to bother with going further to another place for just a day trip.
Back att this place after more than 10 years!
Bear Creek has grown from a small Skying place (Doe Mountain) into a full resort, including lake, pool and of course sky. The lines for rental were a little long but they were smart enough to add the time you spent in line to your lift time. Rental equipment was excellent, great boots and skis. Snow was great and made as needed, lots of people working in the lifts. I had a little girl with me that was not able to get up on the chair and was hanging from it, the people on the floor stopped the lift immediately and raised her up before a tragic incident happened. I wish I had picked up the girl's name that reacted so fast but in the middle of the moment I did not, so great staff! For that matter great staff everywhere: reception, rentals, restaurant, cleaning, lifts. You may not have the best mountain in the area but you exceed on everything else! Good job to the administration and all staff!
I stopped in for dessert and my boyfriend and I shared a chocolate cake that was very good
Horrible place to work ... this was the worst work experience I have ever had.
Worked here in resort services .. after being there for a few months I was forced to go to third shift which I had informed management during my interview that was not an option for me with having two children and both of them being active in school sports. I was reassured that my shift would be 4am till 12:30 in the afternoon I loved these hours but it was shortlived as soon as ski season was slowing down I was thrown under the bus and my arm forced to go to third shift the manager of the resort at the time said to me we don't work for you .. you work for bear creek.. they knew they had me over a barrel because of having children I needed to keep my job so I folded and went to third shift ... well that was horrible I worked with someone who was a complete bully and I went to HR about the person several times to no avail.. then I had a supervisor who acted totally unprofessional and immature called me a horrible name when she thought I was not around to my night shift supervisor and a coworker who was a teenager at the time again went to HR only to be told she said what she said but it wasn't directed towards you but I had two people that stated differently and they did nothing about the situation.. I did have a few coworkers i really loved to work with ... this place if employment is nothing but horrible they work you like slaves and pay you as little as possible.. not to mention it is nothing but drama there and i understand you have that everywhere you go but this place took the cake
Love this cozy resort! Staff is always super courteous and helpful. Place is kept beautiful and clean. Family friendly, kid friendly, lots of fun!
We went to the brunch buffet on Easter Sunday. Everything was very clean and the atmosphere was great. The buffet itself had a decent variety, but could have been slightly more expanded. Overall the experience was pleasant and I would recommend this to any family or social gather.
They never should have been open today, half the trails are shut down and the ones that are open are garbage, packed way too tight and way to narrow to be enjoyable, and when I asked for a refund they refused, I will never come here again.
Amazing wedding venue and a great bar/grille. Disc golf course on site so that's a plus.
Our stay was wonderful! To our surprise, our room was upgraded when we arrived. The views were beautiful and everything was clean and well kept. We had a great meal at the Grille and then relaxed in the outdoor hot tub. I would highly recommend this resort for a relaxing weekend getaway!
