Attended the 2017 Cheese and Garlic festival and it was atrocious. Completely overbooked and understaffed. In the end they were at capacity and were turning people away.

Yes you guys did a great job you guys always do bear creek is my favorite mountain
Fantastic place to stay. Went there for a wedding and had a awesome time. Beautiful place, setting and location. Staff was absolutely wonderful. Overall fantastic place to go and stay.
Even though I stayed overnight when not in peak season, the service and accommodation by the staff was exceptional. The facilities are clean and pristine and the wedding we attended was only complimented by the great service!
Was here for a company dinner with my mom, outstanding food and atmosphere. They have great skiing too!
I was there for a conference with over 200 people in attendance and the facilities were excellent. Lots of room and the view of the slopes made it that much better.
Great facilities, mountain isn't as big as some places in the poconos, but it isn't tiny either. We enjoy going here.
My daughter's wedding was wonderful!! I would recommend it to anyone. Our wedding coordinator ,Lisa, did a fantastic job. The staff was attentive and helpful, and the food was great!
Good lunch food. Good price. Would have preferred outdoor deck seating for lunch. Waitress could have been more attentive...didnt check back after food delivery..when I could have mentioned salad was forgotten...will try it for dinner.
Good lift prices and plenty of trails to ride, with a decent park.
Great place for a beginner skier. Get there early if you want a place to sit in the lounge. Although there are signs asking people to not reserve a table, there were many people who tied up the tables and reduced the seating for lunch.
We were at a wine tasting event here. There were a lot of vendors from wine to cheese and chocolate. Also present were jewelry, wine glass vendors, and much more. It was held on 2 floors of the center.
I absolutely loved my stay! I was there for thanksgiving dinner and stayed through the weekend to relax with my family. The out door heated pool was so much fun for my children. The food, staff, and rooms were just amazing!!! I loved our experience. I will be returning every year for thanksgiving!! If you have never been here JUST TRY IT! YOU WILL LOVE IT!
Closest ski resort rather than going to Poconos. Its a small mountain but gives riders a good amount of trails for a day there. Id say 50% of skiers and boarders here are renting/beginners. Than means if you ride park you will definitely have peanut brains riding down the park just airing it off of the rail lips. The lodge is a huge plus with lots of space and a good food court. Food alittle pricey though. Park crew is gradually getting better. Lifts are slow but short. Overall a great place to go
The best mountain in PA. If you're a hard core skier this may not be the mountain for you as its a bit on the small side. However it makes up for it with having one of the best Terrain Parks on the east coast. The features are all very well made and change from week to week. All the staff members are super nice, and the lodge is actually a five star hotel resort because it's also used as a place to hold meetings for large corporations and other businesses. It's the best place to go with a group of friends skiing or snowboarding because you focus less on riding and more on being with your friends. I've been around the east coast and to a fair amount of mountains big and small and this is my all time favorite.
Went for a wine and food festival. Was WAY too crowded but had a great time anyway. Great scenery.
Rppms are comfortable and spacious. About the 5th time there for Thanksgiving with family. Good buffet for Thanksgiving. Only reason not 5 stars is because of slow service at pub crawl the night before
Such a wonderful getaway. It has a very remote feel while being very close to home. A bit expensive, but woth so much included in the amenities, plus a cafe, fine dining, and spa on the premesis, it is more than worth it.
our home mountain. fantastic lodge and staff....hill is great, lifts are a bit slow. staff is the best!
Great place to unwind and relax. Great activities from snow sports to just hanging out at the indoor and outdoor pools or hot tub is available. Staff goes out of their way to make guests welcome.
It was so much fun, I did the discovery lessons and the instructors were great! It was a little crowded so I don't think I got the full experience but I would definitely go back and try again.
Had an excellent time skiing. $25 Dollars for students and the trails were not very busy. Quick lifts and friendly staff
I like to come here because of how close it is, 45 mins away. Its a small mountain with great, comfortable looking architecture. I have never stayed at the lodge overnight, but never heard a bad thing about it. The interior setup is great, however too small for its crowd. They didn't account for all the families that don't ski or snowboard that just sit around and take up space in there. It is very difficult to find a spot to sit down, and this weekend wasn't even packed! Another thing is that they don't care very much about tending their slopes, I have never see a snowplow out there. They just let their many dry patches sit there, which sucks because that ruins certain aspects of the mountain.
Staff were friendly at the front desk and The Grille. The room was clean and beds were comfortable, but some mold spotted in the bathroom - wasn't too big of a deal for us. The biggest setback is that we went for the pools and hot tubs, but the outdoor ones were not warm enough to enjoy. We also found it hard to find the different pool and hot tub locations on different levels and different wings of the building - more signage would be helpful.
So much fun! A great resort for first timers and quick getaways. Our six-year old loved it so much that we'll be making day trips too. We snowboarded, went tubing, played in their gameroom, ate at their cafeteria, went into their heated outdoor pool, drank at their bar, and stayed in a suite. Really great experience!
Had a lot of fun it's been a while last time I was on the slope was 22 years ago and at that time it was Doe Mountain a lot has changed since then but for the better the complex the people the service the food the drinks they are upscale and they are amazing I recommend this place to anybody who wishes to enjoy a very small slope but a big family atmosphere.
Good service, but had some issues with checking in.
Spa was excellent, exceptionally friendly and helpful, felt pampered and relaxed!
This place is plan out awesome and unreal . I was truly WOWED
Attended a wedding held at Bear Creek. It was a beautiful setting, great food, and friendly staff.
Great place to learn how to ski or snowboard. Also a great place to advance in certain skills. Best all type mountain that can accommodate the youngins, the parents, the seniors, and the ratty teenagers. Wether it's gradual greens, steep blacks, or gnarly terrain parks. Bear creek has it. Food is high priced just like any ski mountain however it is the best ski food around. Nice lodging with day care for the kiddos.
This was my first time here and i really enjoyed it! I did a solo one day ski trip and it was perfect. My only complaint is that the lockers are so small and they're spring loaded so they close and lock right away which was frustrating. The locker rental was only 6.00 and the only size option is a large but these were definitely not large lockers.
There are a decent amount of trails for beginners to learn on. The intermediate trails are short but still fun to go down.
Everything was perfect! This resort is so beautiful and the staff are wonderful. They truely care about their guests!!!
Amazing mountain for beginners and clean hotel rooms and pool area.
Was at Bear Creek for the annual Elk County Alliance Dinner along with 347 others. Beer Creek served all professionally and class. The view, which still had snow on the mountain with snow boarders zipping down, provided a winter backdrop. The quality of our dinner was outstanding. Bear Creek also has entering and exciting the property to a science onto our two-lane road...empting out without frustration. They mainly stand out as a ski resort; however, it has been transformed into a convention and entertainment local during the skiing season. Worth a look in your off-road experience...even if only for lunch or dinner.
Great place, fun year round and banquets are done top notch and food is excellent
Continues to be the best hill for teaching kiddos to ski. Great staff and location. Everything is scales back at the moment but still super nice and not overcrowded. Shout out to Brooke who did an amazing job getting our 6 year old to ski independently.
Nice ski resort, good conditions and family had a great time.
I was a guest at a wedding over the weekend. We booked the hotel a few months ago and everything went perfectly. Check in was smooth. The room was just the right size for six adults to share. The wedding venue was beautiful and the food and service was excellent. Being able to attend a wedding with everything right there on property was awesome because we had no worries of how we'd get some where. Definitely will be returning, likely as a ski resort guest.
The resort is beautiful and well maintained. I dined at both restaurants and the food was great. The staff was great. The entire place is a little dead in early December before they slopes opened up, but once they opened up it wasn't so bad. I was able to snowboard on opening day and I had a good time. The snow conditions were a little icy when compared to other resorts in the area, but this was their opening day and I still had a good time. The hotel is affordable nice. I'd return for sure.
They gave my room to someone else without checking their ID so I had to wait 2 hours to get a room. They did correct it but it was a pain!
I stayed for one night to ski and was pretty nice although some of the trails werent open
Great lodge and services. Mountain is very small but has it's own charm. People are very nice and helpful.
Very friendly, very reasonable place to get your kids on slopes the first time. Highly reccomend. Avid skiers will be bored quickly though...
Great place to visit and it really doesn't matter if you come by your self , couple or with a group .. they will accommodate... very nice place to bring the whole family...
