Great food, brilliant staff. Evening was very smooth and thoroughly enjoyable. I would absolutely return!
Great place to stay. Useful as a base for exploring the region. Great wedding venue
Went for the terror in the trees halloween event. Cant fault the experience.
Great day out for the family. Plenty for the kids to do and all free.
We returned to Beamish Hall again for dinner, overnight stay and the Christmas fair. It is a perfect start to the celebrations for us and precious mother/daughter time. We love the location, setting, restaurant and comfort of the hotel. This is part of our tradition now.
Beautiful hotel with lovely grounds to explore. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Excellent food in the Stables with plenty of choices. Definitely not one to miss.
Lovely scenic location with an amazing restaurant with good service. Good activities there too such as archery.
In the suite some rooms were stifling hot, others freezing. Food in restaurant slow and disappointing when it arrived
Very pretty location antique style hotel rooms excellent breakfast staff very polite and helpful
We visited the stables for lunch. Lovely place, friendly people and great lunch. Reasonably priced too. Try it!!!
Went for an afternoon tea.
It was one of the best afternoon teas I have had and the room we were in was beautiful.
Only reason not a five start was the price.
Fab stay at a gorgeous hotel xx staff were friendly xx food was delicious xx to top it off had lovely weather to enjoy the trail and museum durring our stay xxx
I would go back when I can go with out all this is going on.
My wife and I enjoyed a very pleasant two night stay, Sunday to Tuesday; lovely dinner and a well stocked bar featuring the products of the hotel's microbrewery.
The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Beamish Open Air Museum nearby is an attraction that complements a stay at the hotel; there are other attractions in the area that well merit visiting and it is well situated for visiting Newcastle and Gateshead.
We went to have a look around before booking our wedding and i was speechless at how stunning the place is! Staff are so lovely too!
Good food and good company in comfortable surroundings.

Great location and good venue for the sociak events. Bit pricier but worth the price.
A lovely country house set in the heart of Beamish Woods. Lots of lovely walks through the woods with a warm welcome back at the hotel and bar. It really gives you a sense of being in the country. Staff have always been helpful and the food has always been great.
Great location, great hotel, but maintenance needs to be addressed as there things that clearly need doing in the rooms.
Stable bar was good, but room was on the small side
We had our 50th wedding anniversary and renewing our vows at beamish hall. It was a fantastic day and night all the staff were absolutely fantastic it was great to have people who cared about the occasion and our guests. I cannot praise all the staff enough it was an absolute dream for my wife and myself. I would like to thank them all for making the celebrations so successful. I cannot recommend beamish hall enough. THANK YOU ALL VERY VERY MUCH. REGARDS GEORGE RAWKINS
Beautiful place and surroundings, the staff are lovely and very professional. The bar is quite expensive but you expect that in this sort of place.
Had a meal in Stables restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed. Staff were all masked but you could still see them smiling! Quick service, great value and good hygiene. Met at door by greeter who confirmed that you had used test and trace app and then taken to seats . My Hot roast sarnie and chips tasty and the chicken, mash and veg quickly disappeared too. Good range of beers and wine. One way system in place.
We attended a amazing family wedding very well looked after loved the venue
Lovely place. Great for drinks or a meal. Wonderful service.
The hotel was fabulous and the staff very friendly and helpful, our only complaint was the evening meal was over within 45 minutes, as it was a date night for our wedding anniversary it was dissapointing.
Lovely hotel, clean and quiet. Prices at the bar are super high though.
Visited the Stables for lunch, it was very nice though the smokey smell from the fire was a little too much for comfort.
It impresses as soon as you see it, immersed in a grove of trees in the middle of the English countryside. We only went to eat, to the restaurant of the old stables and for a British restaurant the food was quite remarkable in its quality; almost all the menu offers local meats, even with a mixed grill you can try a little of each specialty. The portions are generous and the service full of kindness, with patience before our difficulties with English. Then, a walk through the gardens next to the palace converted into a hotel puts the finishing touch to a great meal.
The venue itself is nice enough, the grounds are well kept however I don't believe the Alice in Wonderland event was value for money.
This was a most enjoyable visit a very friendly and welcoming staff could not fault it .
Lovely area and friendly staff. Went for a wedding page and it was wonderful. I am 12
As with every Best Western this hotel is different from your copy and paste chains and this one has character. We had a massive room with a comfortable bed for a good night's sleep.
Attended a tree climbing activity. Very professional and friendly
We were there for the beer festival at tge stables, brilliant
Went for bonfire night display was good but not much to do whilst waiting for it to start
Beautiful place to stay lovely and friendly staff had great stay there
Lovely friendly hotel. Staff from every department couldn't have been nicer. Room was lovely with a huge comfortable bed and spotlessly clean would definitely stay again.
I have just had my wedding at Beamish Hall and I was so impressed that I had to get my review on ASAP. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the grounds are amazing so we can't wait to see our photographs. The staff are friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to help and I would just like to specifically mention Matt and Daniel as they saved me an embarrassment when I ran out of alcohol to fill my favours and went to asda to get me more, not many places would be prepared to do that for you so I would like to send an extra special thankyou to them. The food was fantastic, the rooms were spacious and I am gutted I didn't actually get to make use of the huge jacuzzi bath in our room. We stayed in the Charon apartment the night before the wedding and it was absolutely fantastic and huge it was great for all of us to get ready in the morning. All of our guests said the wedding was amazing and it was the best place they had been for a wedding. Our day was amazing and I would not hesitate for 1 second to recommend this beautiful place for a wedding venue. So thankyou to all of you who were involved in our day.
Absolutely amazing place. Most definitely worth a visit.
Sunday dinner was very poor here, burgers and chips was ok
Sat outside in the Stables in glorious sunshine and had a gorgeous sandwich with chunky chips. Will visit again.
Wedding Evening Invitation. Impressive on approach, however carpark needs work. Evening food tasty and plentiful. Nicely decorated
Amazing venue , excellent courtyard to sit in the sun and have refreshments
Friendly staff, interesting rooms, lovely food. I struggled in the bed as I am over 6 foot tall. If booking try and get a room with appropriate furniture.
Bryliant hotel fantastic place service there is a I will always back to this place food stunning
Very nice place with lots of history. Looks and location stunning
Lovely setting for friends wedding.
Beautiful grounds and activities both on site and very close by.
Attended wedding, reception was nicely organised and food was lovely.
A very welcoming, friendly and enjoyable overall experience for our 3 night stay. Attentive, courteous staff to assist whenever possible. Many local attractions nearby. Well worth a visit- very highly recommended. We will return.
Had lunch in the Stables. Great food in a fantastic pub
Brilliant venue for a wedding. Couldn't fault the staff or the room we had
Nice food with excellent beer from its own micro brewery
A lovely hotel in a lovely setting. There is a friendly welcome from the staff and breakfast was delicious, served in the stunning Eden room. The room was neat, clean and classy and was kept warm throughout my stay. Good pub grub in the Stable restaurant at sensible prices.
Grand place for a wedding. Even has a swing park garden! Excellent food and perfect for parties and private functions! We had a ceilidh here and the band made it a memorable experience overall. Staff were plenty and helped out also
Great place to stay food and drink excellent they have their own micro brewery attached and not overly priced we will definitely be back
excellant hotel staff 1st class always get a warm welcome food superb
Beautiful surroundings but food nothing special. Very expensive wine. Which wasn't pleasant
We stayed for my Partners birthday couldn't fault it, will definitely go back, excellent service and value for money
Booked for anniversary treat, loved the room, a delux double, lovely old traditional furniture, very hot , but we did have a fan provided...Slightly disappointed at dinner, as we were unaware that Sunday evenings the restaurant only serves roast dinner or limited bar type food, we were expecting a la carte as we had seen on the website, however the food we did have was excellent.
Breakfast served in a beautiful large room, lovely choice of hot food and very tasty but limited choice of continental, also would prefer a coffee pot on the table not just my cup topped up every time the waitress walked past.
I can't recommend the 'Magical Christmas' experience highly enough. We were treated to a fantastic journey through glittering woods, populated by elves, pixies, dragons, goblins, fairies, reindeer and Santa himself. The attention to detail is very impressive and the performances of the characters who lead you through the adventure are inspired. My children (6 & 9 yrs) are usually shy in this type of situation but, as numbers are kept low, they happily joined in with all activities and were encouraged to be at the centre of the whole story. I can honestly say we've never experienced anything so magical and we've returned home feeling Christmas is a little more enchanted this year.
