I do not think it was long opened when we stayed here so some things were quirky, but the rates were low. Very comfortable, very relaxing, superb food, professional attentive staff, and very handy for the extraordinary wonderful Beamish Museum.

The staff were great and the hotel was clean and beautifully presented! Stables restaurant is definately worth a look, service in the evening was brilliant and the food is of a good standard. I particularly enjoyed the Moules Mariniere starter, the mussels were cooked very well and the sauce was seasoned perfectly. An enjoyable mini break.
The hotel itself was wonderful, immaculately clean & beautiful furnished with antique pieces. The staff were all exceptionally helpful & friendly & made us feel very welcome.
Just been to a wedding at the hotel and stayed overnight. This is a fantastic place with loads of character but is a bit pricey. Staff are lovely and really welcoming
A great venue for a wedding, a little tired in places and the beds were somewhat on the soft side. But it creates a grand impression and you cannot fault the staff they did a brilliant job. Good recommendation to host things
I stayed here as part of a work trip. The food in the restaurant was delicious, simple British classics with good portions! I recommend the sticky toffee pudding! My room was a twin classic, which is not my preference but the room was comfortable and of a good size and I slept pretty well! Breakfast was quite good too! I'd recommend!
Beamish Hall Hotel was absolutely amazing. The staff served all of the guests very quickly and were very professional. One critical point is the wedding cake should have been kept in a cooler place /room as the weather was pretty hot and due to that the cake began to lean to one side.
Wonderful hotel. Visiting family who were staying there. Staff are always very attentive and friendly. The service in the attached bar / restaurant is fantastic.
Food is always great. I've never been here and had an issue with any of the food.
Wonderful hotel amazing location stunning grounds and our room with its antique furniture was lovely. Breakfast with its pure white napkins China cups and beautiful food was wonderful.a truly lovely experience marred greatly by a not restful second night when a large rowdy bunch of uni law students ran amok until well after 1am

We would also like to give a big thank you to Natallia who took over for the night time celebration & organised the times for serving the food , speeches , first dance (.etc) well done natallia . We had our evening celebration in the ( Winter Garden) thank you again to the Beamish Extras that decorated this to perfection just the way we had requested , As regards to the food all of our guest were massively impressed with selection, presentation, & flavour that was never ending, we were all stuffed to bursting point absolutely delicious, it didn't stop there we stayed overnight in the most magnificent room & the occation was completed the next morning with an outstanding breakfast . Thank you to each & everyone who took part in this to make it a very memorable occasion for us . ...
We had our wedding here and all went well the place was amazing untill one of our guests got a little drunk and caused a drama. We had a room booked for the night along with quite a lot of our wedding party having rooms booked after the drunken drama with a guest myself and my partner where told we had to leave half way through our evening reception yet none of the other guests had to leave. So in all we paid a lot of money for nothing, no sympathy from any of the staff and only half a wedding.
Recently attended a party in the Winter Gardens. Both the Hall and in particular the Winter Gardens are beautiful. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. Personally, the food I had was fine, though that which should have been hot was more like warm and would have been better if had been put out in something to keep it hot rather than in presentation boxes, which looked nice, but not practical.
Lovely surroundings would be ideal for a wedding reception or similar.
The room wasn't great. Uncomfortably hot and the only window opened to an enclosed alley that had.a continuous light a source. By no means awful, but for a cheaper room you'd be better going somewhere else.
