My husband took me there for my 50th birthday, I was overjoyed it was one of the best birthdays I have had, room was great, food was great, staff were great. I would definitely return.

Absolutely amazing time emaculate rooms beautiful food to suite every taste bud staff that can't do enough to help you always smiling plenty to do if you have children or just a relaxing retreat for you and your partner only one problem I noticed was the lifts inside the hall for wheel chairs users ok if you are on your own but if you have a carer with you there's just not enough room sorry but you would have to wait for the lift to come back up other than that I can't fault Beamish hall hotel

Coming up the drive to Beamish hall hotel, it was so impressive. Unfortunately as soon as you get past the reception hall it's all very tired and needs updating. Our room was also dated and very brown. The food was mediocre. I don't feel this was value for money.

Attended Christmas Wreath Making afternoon. Thoroughly enjoyed it.Well organised and staff were very helpul and friendly. I think the group was too large would have been better if smaller. Would also be more enjoyable if we could have bought tea, coffee, drinks. Would definitely return thanks

Pretty grounds and building, but looks a lot more fancy than it is. The only food and drink is from the adjoining Stables bar and restaurant, and although the room and bathroom were pleasant it just didn't feel... special. It's a big place with lots of rooms so this might be harder to achieve, but it feels like they've done the bare minimum to have a decent hotel; starting with the less than warm welcome at reception and continuing with the absence of any special touches in the room. Bed a bit too soft but good vegan breakfast with two veggie sausages, plus they had spread and soya milk.

I went to a wedding here and also stayed the night. The staff were very helpful and the rooms were lovely, the antique furniture in each room gives it a nice feel. I would recommend anyone to stay here.

This was my first visit and I stayed for one night. I found the experience most pleasant. From the amazing dinner in the stables restaurant, to the warm welcome at the hotel, spotless and cosy room, comfy bed and lovely breakfast. I can highly recommend this hotel and I look forward to visiting again soon.

Stayed here on the lead up to Christmas. Very welcoming reception, the area was beautifully decorated, warm and welcoming. The room was very comfortable as was our bed. Had dinner at the Stable bar, well worth a vist. Children welcome, there is a park area with outdoor activities. Our visit coincided with Beamish Museum.

Rooms were of a good size. Clean and well equipped. Bathroom was modern and everything worked. Even though there were 3 Christmas functions going on did not hear anything from my room. Breakfast was good. Would stay again.

Bonfire night had the potential to be amazing but was unfortunately a massive let down. Not enough caterers meant waiting an hour for chips, but we thought we might as well as the advertised fair ground rides were too small for our 10 year olds.
The fireworks display started so late that people were starting to leave and there were rumours in the crowd it had been cancelled.
Attempting to leave was mayhem not a steward in sight just adding to the general theme of waiting around.
Felt like it was done on a shoestring, as many people rammed in as allowed. Brace yourself if you are going tomorrow. Let your kids take their iPads and headphones to entertain themselves and to block out the rave music.

The grounds are beautiful and there is plenty of parking. Rooms are well-appointed with classic furnishing but with modern bathrooms and usual facilities. The on site, stables restaurant was well worth a visit, good menu selection, friendly staff and decent food.

A quick visit for some lunch and archery was very pleasant. The building and grounds are stunning. The staff were very courteous and attentive and the food was of excellent quality. Had good fun with archery too.

An immaculate place to stay whilst visiting The Beamish Living Museum. Friendly staff, helpful yet not intrusive or overbearing (a common problem with many places!)
The restaurant was just right, food was interesting and enjoyable. Altogether an enjoyable stay, we wish we had stayed longer. Definitely worth a return visit.

Always enjoy visiting Beamish Hall. Lovely wedding venue and staff always friendly. Christmas fete was on last weekend. think its a shame they charge an entrance fee..it was ok but they could have done with more stalls.

Had a pleasant stay in room 208, room is huge with 3 bay windows, four poster bed, massive bathroom with rain shower and a double jacuzzi bath. All the staff were very pleasant, breakfast was great. only negative was the pillows were rock hard !...sure reception would sort if asked but we were too lazy to get up !

My wife and I love this place. So romantic and very historical. Well kept and maintained. Tremendous breakfast selection. Staff warm and friendly. Would love to be frequent visitors. Close to Beamish museum. Has on site micro brewery which has fabulous selection of real ale wine and cider. Warm cost and spacious bar. Friendly helpful staff.

Booked for anniversary treat, loved the room, a delux double, lovely old traditional furniture, very hot , but we did have a fan provided...Slightly disappointed at dinner, as we were unaware that Sunday evenings the restaurant only serves roast dinner or limited bar type food, we were expecting a la carte as we had seen on the website, however the food we did have was excellent.
Breakfast served in a beautiful large room, lovely choice of hot food and very tasty but limited choice of continental, also would prefer a coffee pot on the table not just my cup topped up every time the waitress walked past.

Enjoyed an overnight stay after a friends wedding. One or two minor niggles, no shower gel in the room, one of the bath towels was badly torn. The room itself was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, staff friendly and helpful.

We returned to Beamish Hall again for dinner, overnight stay and the Christmas fair. It is a perfect start to the celebrations for us and precious mother/daughter time. We love the location, setting, restaurant and comfort of the hotel. This is part of our tradition now.

Very helpful people people when I had to book at the last minute ( having been let down by a nearby hotel who had given away my pre-booked room when I arrived at 7pm having travelled 200 miles !!! - Angel View at Eighton so avoid them like the plague ). Beamish could not have been more considerate. Lovely room - big enough to have a party in ( not that we did, obviously ), - and it was clean, well furnished and with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was a good size too. The Stables restaurant was very nice and the meal was lovely. The waiter ( John ) was great - helpful, friendly and with a good sense of humour although apparently he normally works on the weddings side of things. Breakfast too was excellent with beautifully fried smooth eggs ( not all bubbly and crisp bottomed like some ) and not a hint of grease. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel and will visit again without hesitation.

What an absolute treat. We booked our stay because it was adjacent to the tourist attraction we wanted to visit - but our overnight stay became the real event of our break because it was all so lovely.
Since returning home we have been singing it's praises and recommending it to all our family and friends. That this hotel was so very nice was a real, friendly and lovely surprise that has definitely set a new benchmark for our hotel expectations in the future.

We had a very pleasant stay in the hotel, you do have to wear face masks in the general public areas but we didn't mind as was for everyone safety.

I thought I would mention it so everyone is aware, the hotel staff were very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and we had a great nights sleep.

Bed very small and a king size would have made it more enjoyable , food brilliant and staff. More welcoming at front of house with a more guided plan of how to get to your room would have helped greatly
