Lovely hotel, excellent staff very helpful & polite very covid safe really enjoyed our mini break thank you all
Walk into the woods, muddy fun with 2 girls aged 1 and 3 who loved it. Lots to see and explore
Visited firework display so only outdoors, display was amazing
Beautiful place..Stables is a great spot for good food and beer.
Lovely hotel. We only called in for meal and food was great however my Daughter after being assured they are careful with Gluten free items on menu she still had a reaction. Spoiled a brilliant day at Beamish
This was our first visit to Beamish Hall Hotel. . Four of us enjoyed our two night stay which was excellent in all respects.
Friendly staff, good food and great beer.
We'll come again.
The stables restaurant is lovely and has excellent gluten free options
At a wedding not great chairs seem to be an issue. Food not great very poor. Great location fantastic building just let down by poor standards.
Very posh. Didn't care much for the sandwich fillings or the lack of vegetarian options on a recent buffet.
A beautiful hotel set in some beautiful countryside.
Having stayed at the other local Best Western hotel in whickham, and seeing the photos on the website of the rooms, I was so dissapointed when we got to our room, very dated inside tiny bed, the saving grace was the bathroom which was modern and had an enermous bath in. Unfortunatley won't be returning back to Beamish Hall to stay for a night, and the price made me feel truley ripped off. Beautiful building but in major need of a room refurb, we also had the issue of staff outside our room having left the trolley for servicing room so were awoke on sunday morning and disturbed until we checked out at 11am by staff being very loud outside the room.
The stables was ok good food and staff great.Front of house was poor any information had to be forced out of the receptionists when they could be bothered talking to you, not made to feel welcome at all and was very surprised at having to pay for a 3 night stay on arrival. Room was more akin to a wardrobe in size and was moved to a better sized room for the second night. I work as a concierge and am often asked by guests for recommendations for hotels in other areas needless to say Beamish Hall will not be on that list.
Amazing breakfast. Comfy room and lovely dinner in the stables. I recommend the fillet steak!
Stayed here two nights as a stopover on the way up to the Northumbria Coast and as a base for us to visit Beamish Museum. Nice room, good food for both breakfast and dinner. Excellent hotel staff, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
Attended their bonfire night event which was brilliant. Fireworks were fantastic, along with entertainment and stalls provided. For the price it's a wonderful opportunity to even visit the building.
We stayed here a couple of weeks ago for just 1 night. Lovely place and very English (which I loved as it just oozed history) the staff were very friendly and breakfast was extremely tasty with plenty of choice. The only thing about the room was that the double bed was tiny, and if we stayed again I would upgrade the room, just for the bed.
We done the beamish brewery tour and tasted some real ale, and purchased a 9 pint barrel, which tasted nothing like the beer when opened and was really cloudy, so I would not bother with them. We went to The Stables restaurant and had dinner, food was very good and reasonably priced and the staffs were a bit rushed but service was ok.
We would defiantly return and eat there but not bother with the beer, but all in all very nice place.
Good place for kids behind the actual hall. No cafe or easily accessible toilets if you're just visiting the woods. The little garden centre sells ice cream (card payments available) and coffee from a machine (one pound per coffee)
Really lovely stay here for a birthday treat. We had a deal with breakfast and a brewery tour, both of which were fab. We also ate in the stables bar for dinner which was amazing! We had a premier room with the jacuzzi bath, which I think is well worth it. Overall a really lovely place with friendly staff, and we would definitely return.
My wife and I enjoyed a very pleasant two night stay, Sunday to Tuesday; lovely dinner and a well stocked bar featuring the products of the hotel's microbrewery.
The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Beamish Open Air Museum nearby is an attraction that complements a stay at the hotel; there are other attractions in the area that well merit visiting and it is well situated for visiting Newcastle and Gateshead.
Beautiful place, beautiful grounds. Staff have been really helpful.
Traditional Manor House Hotel with excellent service and a very large premium bedroom that comes with a Jacuzzi bathtub. Good food and a good selection of craft beer.
We had afternoon tea which was presented well with lots of variety. The sandwiches were full of filling, the bread was soft and they tasted delicious. The two different varieties of scones were tasty and full of flavour particularly the blackberry flavoured one. There was a good selection of cakes and tarts and an abundance of tea and coffee. Overall very tasty in a lovely environment with very attentive staff.
This hotel was recomended to us, it reached every expectation , very quiet, the food is excelant in restaurant (Stable) please book a table to make sure you get a table gets buisy reasonable price,
Breakfast. Excelant choice hot or cold, we've stayed here twice and booked again, very close to beamish museum large grounds good walks plenty of parking and don't have to pay to park, there is a small garden centre in grounds although we didn't have children but there is play and climing area, we love this hotel and book just for a break.
Lovely hotel, we had a beautiful room, just a small issue with noise from wedding party staying in room above, next time we will be requesting top floor room!
Lovely meal at the stables, nice staff, great food great beer.
Amazing food at very reasonable prices. Excellent staff who couldn't do enough for you. Highly recommend.
Great venue for wedding reception, the food was amazing and the staff were incredible
Always made very welcome on arrival and also during my stay.
Super place to stay would recommend it to anybody.
We had afternoon tea 5/5 for the food and surrounding love the old hall. .this hotel in not disabled friendly and this lets it down
Great place to stay good food and great choice of drinks in beautiful surroundings. The only small complaint is that the rooms could do with upgrading, they are looking a bit tired. It is a short drive from the beamish village museum which is a great day out, and not that far to Newcastle if you fancy a night on the toon!
We arrived early for our booking but we're shown straight to our table.
Small menu but good choice. Top marks for the baked camembert. Not as expensive as I thought it would be. Overall a lovely place.
Very very nice place, really needs a tech update though, no WIFI signal and poor poor speeds when available , couldn't even load an email. Also made worse due to zero phone signal in that area
Hotel food and service good pity about school proms on 2 consecutive nights staff no control over noise and parents driving up to front door on gravel drive to pick up their little darlings.
We were there for a family gathering and we found ourselves in a private room upstairs which was great as there was a mixed group with young kids. Food was great and service the same. My pigeon starter was a highlight.
Excellent night out with work, great meal in The Stables, fabulous service. Decent bed and room too. Would recommend, great value for money and a stunning location
Lovely hotel, Richard on the bar was amazing, very helpful & welcoming.....he made our stay great. Breakfast was so nice, and all staff really nice
Helpful friendly staff . Lovely afternoon tea for a friend's birthday... Well worth a visit ...and also they have a garden center only been open two months .
The food was fantastic, I had the burger with fries absolutely beautiful, tasty excellent portion size very filling could not fit dessert in shame
Bed was very small. So small that I had to sleep diagonally and I'm 5'10. Full English Breakfast was overcooked.
Afternoon tea for two of us food delicious service was fantsstic and friendly well worth a visit
Nice surrounding's good staff overall a nice experience
Room was a little small, but worth it for fish and chips
Shame you have to walk outside to restaurant. No posh dining just stables
Immaculate rooms, great breakfast, lovely dining experience lots of choice, very friendly staff
Beautiful location, great food and drink. Only slight let down is the price. Free wifi is great as barely any mobile phone signal in the area
Lovely hotel, friendly staff especially the breakfast staff! Meals at the Stables reasonably priced and good selection. We will definitely return
Cosy room ,delicious food, very helpful and polite staff, felt they could not do enough to help us on our stay, will definitely be going back soon, forgot to mention the beautiful building and beautiful setting,i could go on and on,
No AC, carpet everywhere, tiny room, but otherwise lovely. Great restaurant.
brilliant wedding over the summer. Great work team up there. Thank you!
Staff terrific could not be more helpful. The whole place was nipping clean. Perhaps the best part was the food the helpings were enormous.
We saw the micro brewery which was interesting although I did not care for the need to share a glass even though it was with my brother in law.
All in all I would do it again.
The only downside was the stairs it's an old house and a bit higgledy-piggledy. For anyone who has trouble with stairs this is not for them.
Dreadful. Adventures in wonderland was a disgrace. Money making. Nothing more. Couple of ribbons in the trees. Rip off merchants. Disgusting. Avoid avoid avoid.
Top marks for quality, service and just a general great day out.
Breath taking, beautiful hotel ,grounds ,fantastic place for a wedding ,a place dreams could come true
Went for a light lunch with some friends. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the bar, restaurant and outside seating was clean tidy and of nice design. The toilets were clean. The food was exceptionally nice, I had a roast Stottie of the day with chips, it came with a separate gravy boat, perfect, only criticism o would have is there were not many chips. Only about 10. The price was reasonable and I would return again if in the area.
A wonderful afternoon enjoying a woodland Wonderland. Visited for the Alice in Wonderland event which runs until June. Set in amazing woodland you fall down the rabbit hole to explore and experience everything around the chaotic Wonderland world. A well organised event which enabled a safe outdoor play experience with lots of interaction based around the story. Lots of visual and fantastic attention to detail with props and decoration which captured everything from the magical world of Alice. Would definitely recommend a visit. Beamish Hall is set in stunning grounds close to the museum.
Lovely place setting fab history abundance. Very popular plenty of grounds .food has always been great but sadly i think instead of putting up a quid they are economising badly!! Last visit they tried to give us a small bowl of veg between 4 people. Today we both ordered lamb. Plates came 2 small slices of what was fatty meat didn't have colour of lamb??it must have been cheap breast of lamb. I ended up with mostly fat. Complained knocked 10%off bill didn't charge 4 chessboard. That is not the point we go out 4 lunch to enjoy .
Beautiful location I was attending a friends wedding. Food was really good venue had some lovely historical and picturesque features and I work at a nearby museum so was very impressed by the armour and tapestries. The staff were also very polite and nice plus it was lovely to go to the stables a nice little micro brewery attached to the hall.
We attended the firework display on Monday. We had a fab time. Maybe they could have some extra food vendors next time as the queues were VERY long but all in all a great event.
Attended a family wedding at the hotel. Room was great, think it was the winter garden room. It was decorated lovely. Food was lovely and great drink selection.
A fantastic building and setting with excellent staff.
We had afternoon tea there it was a good place to visit very historic and the food was fine
Very enjoyable stay. The facilities are very good but some aspects are a little tired, mainly hall carpets.
The food and drink is fantast. The micro brewery produces some great pints and is well worth investigating
Here for the murder mystery night. Was really fun and the actors were great! Awesome night.
Lovely room, great food, fabulous surroundings. The courtyard at The Stables is a pretty area for drinks and quaint but modern.
Great hotel fantastic food and a micro brewery
With specialist brews worth a visit. Even an overnight stay.
Attended my friend's wedding here and stayed over night. Venue was amazing and the rooms where beautiful. Bed was amazing and had a great night sleep. The breakfast was lovely. Would highly recommend a stay here.
Lovely hotel, Richard on the bar was amazing, very helpful & welcoming.....he made our stay great. Breakfast was so nice, and all staff really nice
Well, for me it couldn't be improved,a golf course,a micro brewery, Rib Eye Steaks, and pints of Beamish Ale in the bar. I told my wife I wasn't going home!!
Stopped off here for lunch with my grandchildren lovely place the staff are nice food was lovely .There's a nice little park for the kids to play in & there's a little garden centre which is bit pricey
Fantastic looking building, rooms and grounds, friendly and very helpful staff, good value good food. Room full of period furniture and a comfortable bed. If you want something a little different then this is the place. Another BW gem.
