He worked closely with us, keeping us informed on the progress of our construction. They are ethical, thorough, and easy to communicate with. He was a wonderful resource for any design changes we wanted to make, and for coming up with new ideas as the construction progressed. Any questions or concerns we had were promptly addressed and Ashley, the project manager, is excellent! We are extremely happy with our new home and would absolutely choose Bass Built in the future!

I also love working for a builder that has strong relationships with his subcontractors and allows for some creative and custom design elements. We are so pleased with our new home. We have commented often on how well the house is built. During the framing process, we were so impressed with the quality of workmanship and materials used - often referring to the house as Fort Knox :). Bryant prides himself on building an energy efficient home. We can attest to the fact that he does as our electric bills have been low. It was a pleasure working with the entire team from start to finish.
I live one house over from a house these guys built. I am also in the building industry and had to give this company praise. We received a letter before they broke ground, explaining they were building a new house, that there would be noise, Saturday s etc... I was like wonderful, here we go
These guys did a wonderful job, the site was always clean, the guys working were nice. Construction stopped every night as per the town ordinances, and did I mention The site was always clean?!? Being in construction I know how hard this is to accomplish. I haven t seen the inside of the house but the outside looks great, quality work, and I would definitely recommend this builder. Thanks for doing a great job for my neighbors.
Bass Built Homes built our main level back in 2013. (We built the main level elevated on posts with it open underneath except for a small storage unit.) We let Bryant Bass know our long-term plans of wanting to build out underneath our main level at some point in the future. This required us to bring in fill dirt so the lower level would be above the flood plain so we could obtain an elevation certificate. In 2016 we followed through and added on to our finished living space and also added a two stall garage.
We had been through a couple of weaker hurricanes and tropical storms and had no issues at the house. However, hurricane Florence was a different level of hurricane altogether. We were under a mandatory evacuation order and we evacuated on 9/11/18 when Florence was still a Category 4 storm. Backing out of that driveway and looking at our house for perhaps the last time was a feeling that I hope I don't ever have to experience again. It was an overwhelming feeling. We stayed with good friends in Raleigh for the next 8 days.
We were both lucky and fortunate that our house was built so well by Bass Built Homes. We were lucky since the storm dropped from a category 4 to a 2 and that when the strongest part of the storm went over us, we were on the southern side of the storm. We drove home on Wednesday, 9/19/18. During our drive home, we saw so much devastation. We arrived home to find our home completely intact with no visual damage whatsoever. Upon further inspection, we had no water leaks and didn't even lose a shingle. So many homes had different levels of damage depending on their location and proximity to the ocean and trees. The only damage we sustained was to the door on our fence which can be easily replaced.
We are so thankful and consider ourselves both lucky and fortunate to have chosen Bass Built as our home builder. Our home experienced a true test of the quality of the construction from both a structural standpoint and also being water tight since the wind was driving the rain at upwards of 90 mph. I do highly recommend impact resistant windows since we did not have to put up plywood over our windows. This gave us the time we needed to focus on packing our most important belongings for the evacuation instead of having to buy plywood and then wrestle with putting those heavy pieces up over the windows.
So, in conclusion, we highly recommend Bass Built Homes since they build a high quality home and are a stickler for details to assure your home can withstand Mother Nature.

Common sense would only dictate that considering the fact that you are spending your hard earned money on your new home/vacation home/renovation project that you be as well-informed as absolutely possible. Do expect delays! Even Fairy Tales don't always go smoothly. Bass Built Homes was extremely user-friendly from beginning to end with our renovation project! Regardless of the fact that it took longer than we initially anticipated, we went into it unaware and uneducated as to what was truly involved in renovating a house. There are many moving parts to the process so BE PATIENT! We were informed up front of the possibility of delays. The site manager was incredibly helpful and engaging throughout the entire process, including going the extra mile to accommodate our needs and concerns. The project designer spent countless hours coming up with what has ultimately become our dream home. Her ideas and conceptualizations completely blew us away. We could never have imagined the genius behind her creativity. The office manager was always there for us (sometimes on a daily basis) and maintained a professional, positive and cheerful demeanor. We felt very hands on with the entire process due to regular face-to-face meetings and daily updates through Builder Trend, the online program that Bass Built uses to communicate schedules and daily progress with the owners. When all was said and done, Bryant Bass asked us if our home was everything we expected it to be. Our reply was no it is beyond ALL of our expectations!

Bass built is a great company to work with. As a vendor of theirs, it's refreshing to see a home builder that pays their bills on time and treats others with the utmost respect. I can only assume they take care of their customers even better than their vendors. If I were in the market for a custom home, bass built would be my first call.

I am a Realtor. I have been very impressed with Bass Built Homes. When I represent the buyer, I often visit the work site during the building process to take pictures for the buyers. The construction site / house is always clean. A lot of the other new construction sites have trash all over the place. Whenever I show up, the people on site are always friendly, polite and will tell you what they are working on. Bass Built goes above & beyond with customer service and their homes are beautiful.
I worked for Bryant Bass at Bass Built Custom Homes for 2 years from 2013 to 2015 as his Finishing Superintendent. I was continuously impressed by Bryant s insistence on the highest quality materials and workmanship in his homes. He researched the best new products and programs to use and started the Fortified Home Program ( upgraded standards that build homes to withstand catastrophic weather events) and the Duke Energy Efficiency Program while I was employed. Our customers often commented on their low Duke Energy bills. Bryant's mantra to staff was We I want to build a home that exceeds Building Code, an A grade home. Bryant strives to be the best builder in the area and he succeeds.
