I would give Bayshore Medical Center 10 stars! I was very sick and had a lot of health concerns that had to be addressed. The staff here went out of their way to explain in detail everything that was happening with my tests, health, etc.! The Nurses that need to be commended for their amazing work are
Mark, Nichole, Emily and Yael!!!
God Bless all the staff at Bayshore!

I recently had surgery at Bayshore Hospital. I was originally having the surgery done at NYU but came to Meridian Health Bayshore MC for a second opinion and it was close to home. After meeting the surgeon and see the time sheet took with me I knew I was in the right place. The Surgeon was excellent not only did she do an amazing surgical procedure. She also took the time to discuss in detail and answer all my questions and concerns.

The care that my Grandfather received during a recent stay was exceptional. The 2 North staff made sure that Grandpa was comfortable and cared for. Our nursing staff was so patient and sweet. The patient rep Mark addressed all of our concerns. Grandpa was especially happy with the meals that he was given. The staff at this facility went above and beyond for our family. I would greatly recommend this facility and I most of all want to say Thank You to everyone we encountered. Grandpa is feeling much better and for that we are extremely grateful.

I was in the ICU and 4 South and I must say this has been a great experience. All the staff was very helpful, always available for help and was able to answer any questions I had. You could tell the staff was more like a family than co-workers.

I would recommend BayShore to anyone that would like wonderful care, a great experience and feel like a person and not just a number.

I have nothing but absolute amazing things to say ...

I have nothing but absolute amazing things to say about the staff at Bayshore Medical. Everyone has been nothing but accommodating and kind. I had to come in for emergency Gallbladder surgery and was very nervous because I am not a fan of surgery or being put to sleep. All the staff in the surgery floor saw how scared I was and tried their best to calm me down and make me comfortable. They talked to me and asked me questions and walked me through what I could expect. They were sweet and patient. Dr Nguyen, the anesthesiologist and second Dr in the room were reassuring and did their best to ease my fears. The team who took care of me after the surgery were kind and warm and it was like having a bunch of moms looking after me. I was in 3 North prior to Surgery and then 2 East afterwards through both I had Lauren, Nicole, Amber as my nurses and multiple PCA s and they were all amazing. Constantly checking in and making sure I was ok, that I didn t need anything and that I was comfortable. I got a visit from Mark the Patient Ambassador who was friendly and kind and made me feel super important. He asked me questions and genuinely cared about what I was saying and provided a ton of extremely helpful information. It is very clear he loves his job and cares about the patients needs and listens to what we have to say. Maureen from concierge made sure I had all my toiletries and brought me a little bag with everything I would need and Christie from Food made sure that my food was set up and my meals taken for the next day. Even the food was perfect, it was tasty and flavorful and definitely not your typical Hospital food. I know this is lengthy but I felt that this whole team truly deserved a shout out because I came into this hospital uncomfortable, in pain, scared and not knowing what to expect and now I m comfortable, gallbladder free and much more calm and educated. Kudos Bayshore your staff really did an outstanding job and it s obvious you care about your patients.

My family had a very positive experience in the ER department. So glad Bayshore Medical Center is located in my town and we don t have to trek down to Red Bank or Freehold for top notch medical care.

It appears they are re-doing and adding to the hospital with a brand new ER which will only make this hospital that much better!!

I can t even express how well my father has been cared for at Bayshore Hospital from the emergency room to 2 north. I have to thank the staff on 2 north for their exceptional work they are the kindest people I have ever met. I have to give a special thanks to zee, kaitlyn, Jeun, Linda Hammel, Mark, Ted, Patty Walker, Arron, Dana and all of the PCA s. Everyone has been so kind and caring making such a terrifying experience comforting. Bayshore is such a friendly atmosphere and I would not take my family member any where else.

I can t express enough how wonderful my mothers care has been here on 2 north , patti , Linda, June, kaitlyn , , Lisa all the nurses were wonderful and on top of my mothers care , the techs were amazing , jeanine , Lindsay , Danielle, Kelli , the food service people were great and the housekeeping were on top of things , I couldn t ask for better care and I was so at ease knowing she got the best care . The hospital staff at 2 East has been very helpful and knowledgeable. They were very attentive to my needs. Nurses Angela, Tamara, Joan, Alice and so many more are to be commended for their work ethics. Patient advocate Mark was also very helpful. I also met the the nurses supervisor Ms Jean Baptiste and she was very professional.
Thank you all for helping me heal after my surgery.

I would not recommend this facility to anyone requiring any sort of medical treatment. I work in healthcare in Manhattan and know how things should work. My mother was admitted at Bayshore for 2 weeks with quite possibly the worst staffing I have ever witnessed. Nurses did not document her morphine doseages and would wake her up to ask when she last got it. They would take 20 minutes to respond to her call button. Physicians would come in every day unprepared and not having read a single sentence of my mother's chart. They tried to give her a medicine she's allergic too even though she had the bracelet and it was documented in her chart. The staffing on the floor refused to give me her medical records (even with a signed release form) stating they can't give me anything until after she's discharged. I know my rights as a patient and that is a blatant lie. They then said my mother had developed an abscess that required urgent surgery. At this point I had her transferred to NYU Langone where true professionals reviewed her and found no abscess and she was medically managed and discharged within 3 days. The care at Bayshore Hospital is reprehensible. The things these clinicians get away with at this facility are unacceptable. On top of poor medical care, they have no bedside manner or empathy with patients. This may be the closest hospital to our home, but I will NEVER bring a family member here again. I truly worry for anyone who gets admitted to this facility. Do your research and know your rights as a patient.

I got bit by a cat and my finger got very infected. I had such a wonderful experience from start to finish in the ER to my 2 night stay in the 2 north wing. The staff was so attentive to all of my needs. The facility and room I was staying in was thoroughly cleaned: A Special shout out to Mark Morrison head of patient relations for making my experience at Bayshore an excellent one. He really went above and beyond knowing I was very upset having to spend Easter in the Hospital. Big thanks to Josephine, Lisa, Joelle and Jancy for being wonderful nurses in 2 north and to Krista, Janeen, Steven, Michele, Veronica and Diggle for your hospitality. I also had a wonderful team of knowledgeable doctors who were very caring. Thank you Dr. Patel- Hand Surgeon, and Dr Doshi Infectious Disease and Dr Maini and Dr. Yu in ER had wonderful bedside manner! It was a wonderful experience over all. Thanks again!

My husband recieved the best care .I say this not as a team member but as a spouse of a sick partner. I have worked for Hackensack Meridian for 20 yrs and seen many changes all good .The staff was excellent on 2 west specifically Kat, Vanessa , Donti . They are very attentive, they are friendly always coming in to see if we need anything. The only thing that would make the experience better would be all the rooms are private. This would benefit everyone from staff to patients.i also would add that Mark from patient experience should be the face of Hackensack Meridian. He takes the human experience to the next level . I cant even express how valuable a team member he is. He is a star performer every moment that he is here . Don't ever let him go .

Just arrived home , spent 1 hour in the emergency room with my son of 22 years old.
The doctor made several observations about our relationship and suggested a better diet. Hmm . Interesting . We went to the hospital because of severe vomiting and issues that the E/R diagnosised earlier was liver related . She said he needed to see a doctor(gastro) so there isn't one in the hospital ?! She was short , curt and also provided me with the blood work paperwork from 2011 til present. I don't remember asking or needing that . What my son needed was medical attention. We arrived home and yet again he began vomiting . Called and got nowhere . Maybe it is just possibly something else ? Guess he needs to see an actual doctor that is willing to treat !
What a shame . I have great respect for a lot of doctor and nurses that have cared for my son in the past . I will never go back to this hospital again .

Just had Bariatric Sleeve and my stay was on 2 west and all the staff was fantastic. My Dr was Dr Greco and he was amazing. His Bed side manner & the staff manners and all their helpful advice was beyond my expectations!! I highly recommend Dr Greco and his staff for anyone's Bariatric needs.

I was on 2 west for a week last week and my experience was wonderful thanks to a few special staff members . The patient advocate Mark Morrison made the world of difference for myself and my family during my stay. Mark addressed all my needs. I was also introduced to the chef Joe Leroy who took the time out of his day to come see me in my room and went above and beyond to make myself and my family five star dishes that he made specifically for us ! I have been in about 20 hospitals around the country and never had I experienced the level of care and attention to detail as the bayshore staff graciously gave me . The kitchen supervisor Ted did everything in his power to make sure I was specifically taken care of when it came to all dietary needs and allowed for the chef to personally make me almost every meal (even things that are not on the menu, chocolate cover strawberries , pumpkin ravioli , etc.)

My nurses where great but there where a few who took Amazing care of me and my family in our time of need . Peggy , Karen( traveling nurse) , And Nestor where without doubt the most helpful and on top of my medications with out a doubt . Thank you all of the staff at bayshore !!!

This place has grown quite a bit over the years. As I've grown older and my health care needs became a greater concern to me I've come to rely on Bayshore. I've had more than one emergency room visits and have always found service to be thorough and as prompt as is humanly possible. I can't say enough good things about the Bariatric Center and the truly excellent team from Doctor Greco, his support staff and the hospital ambassador Mark I've had a fantastic experience with my surgery and Recovery. Thank you guys for making it easy for me.

I came into the bayshore emergency room on Saturday morning and I was so out of it, but I remember being well taken care of. Constantly being politely awoken to check my status. When I got to my floor 2 East I gave the nurse Jess a run for her money as she was trying to process my admission and I could barely stay alert and awake enough to answer. Rolling into the rest of my stay was rough sailing at first because I was in so much pain. The nurse lauren kept me postive and smiling. The Pca Donti definitely deserves a raise. He goes above and beyond to interact with the patients. He constantly had me laughing and his positivity shows that he belongs in a field of helping others. He truly stands out. The nurse Amber was also awesome. My stay while unwanted was pleasurable and comfortable.

Bayshore Medical Center has come a long way! My father was rushed to the ER last week and Dee from guest relations was very helpful. Mark, the patient representative, does an outstanding job and is an asset to Bayshore. I couldn't thank him enough! The nurses in 4 South are hardworking and provide great care along with the respiratory therapists. The doctors are highly qualified and Dr. Mark Decotis is truly outstanding.

Had an absolute comfortable experience, starting from the ER with my nurse Coleen, and pct Coco, patient care rep Dee was amazing to both me and my fiance. My amazing care continued while I was in 3 East. My nurse Lacy is an amazing , caring and compassionate nurse. Not to mention so funny. My last night i had nurse Alex he was great as well. But a definite big shout out to a very sincere, kind and true man Mr. Mark Morrison. Bay shore all around has great staff and great food. What more can you ask for.

I took my son to Bayshore ER last month because he fell down the stairs and cut his chin. We waited for more than an hour to be seen by a doctor and the consultation was less than 5 mins, then after another hour of waiting, we were sent to a plastic surgeon's office about 15 mins away to get stitches. Not a single test or procedure was done in the ER on that day. Then I got two bills, one for the doctor service at the ER and another big bill of $1100 from the hospital ER. I called the billing service and asked about what that $1100 was for since my son did not received any treatment in the ER that day and that was already a separate bill for the doctor. The lady answered it was for using the ER facility and the ER is expensive. And she told me I could not argue about it. It is just unbelievable that the hospital can just charge you whatever amount just by walking into it without telling you. And all we did at the ER on that day was a less than 5 min consultation (which was covered by a separate bill) and a bandage (which I needed to pay extra $23 for as well) and more than two hours wait. It is impossible and totally unfair that the hospital can charge me $1100 for just sitting and waiting in the ER.

Just spent the last 4 days here after having a hernia become strangulated and causing a blockage. Emergency surgery was done the same day I went in. The staff were amazing and caring. I was treated in the hallway for a few hours in the ER because it is a small hospital. That care was still exceptional regardless of where it took place. Once I was moved to a room post op, the nurses and doctors were amazing. Kristen, Kit, Felicia, Daniella, and Jocelyn were so amazing it made being in the hospital away from my family easier than expected. Thank you for the excellent care.

Was on 4 East for a total of five days and the care I received was absolutely amazing. Your staff really helped me during a very scary time. While I felt like I was going through what is my worst nightmare, your staff made me feel loved and safe. Words cannot describe how thankful and blessed I am to have had the pleasure of being admitted to your hospital.

Ps. Love you Jenn!!

I stayed in 2 North! The entire staff was amazing! They were all so attentive, sharp, and comforting! No one missed a beat, kept me in the loop and worked as a total team! I was impressed but most of all relieved because I was not sure how long I would be in for.

Even harder for me was that I have a 3 yr old and 1 yr old at home! With that being said, my two nurses Chi Chi and Caroline would not only take care of me by following the doctors orders, but they talked to me about their own children at home; bonding as mothers. They talked to me about having the same experience and sickness which made me feel like they truly understood!! They were always at my side when I needed and helped me through a rough and uncomfortable time with such over the top support!

Their team of Steven, Kelly, Filomena (to name a few) and others were again right there helping me. They were communicating to me as well as back to the nurses throughout my entire stay. They were constantly making sure I was not in need, pain, or that I was just generally ok! Mark in the patient advocate department sat with me to make sure I was ok and went over all the extra staff and departments that were there at the hospital waiting to provide any services or assistance I may have wanted or needed. He was extremely bubbly and friendly! Which is nice to see in a hospital when you are feeling not so bubbly, yourself!

No one plans a trip to the hospital like this, but I am writing to express how they made my rough and uncomfortable incident/sickness a very smooth and comforting experience. Thank you guys, all of you!!!!
Ps GOOD LUCK STEVE, on the boards! You are going to make a outstanding nurse!

I have been treated at Bayshore Medical Center, for out patient surgeries, ER services, and Iv'e had numerous imaging studies performed, for over three decades.
I have never had a bad experience at Bayshore.
The staff, from pre-induction, imaging, nursing, anesthesiology, through surgery and recovery have performed in an exemplary.manner, every time.
One minor complaint was about a group of loud and rowdy family members, waiting in the ER, while I was in pain from a second degree burn. That incident was duly reported.

I just had a total hip replacement yesterday and am going home today less then 24 hours after surgery with only the use of a cane here at building 2 East, starting with the pre op meeting with Chrissy,Patty and. Dave who were very friendly and informative they all saw me after the surgery and were very helpful. The pre surgery nurses were very pleasant, attentive, and kept me calm.
Dr Borzio who performed the surgery is very friendly, and a top notch surgeon a true professional. My night and day nurses, patient care associates and house keeping were exceptional, also Mark ( the patient experience ambassador) stoped in to see me and explain the progress of Bayshore and the staff over the years which is quite evident. This is where I will come in the future for my medical needs!

Last week I spent 5 days in the hospital on 2 west. I m not exactly the ideal patient that every nurse and dr wishes they had, it didn t matter one bit to the staff. They were amazing, from the assistants to the nurses to the cleaning crew. Linda, Amanda, Chi chi, Rose, Steven, the secretary that worked Monday night shift, and all the others ( please forgive me for not remembering all the names) you made my stay bareable. I would also like to Thank Mark (patient advocate) and Ted.. I was on a very strict diet, I couldn t find anything on the menu I liked( very picky eater) well they actually went to the store, bought me pastena and asked the chef in the kitchen to prepare it for me.. That who was impressive!! Talk about going above and beyond...Thank you all again!!! God bless

I remember the Old Bayshore Hospital and was really hesitant to come here Friday night. I have to say that the experience was really positive, the ER was fast and efficient and the entire staff on 3 East, especially Neelie, were incredible and attentive. I had a wonderful experience with 3 North team and all of the staff was amazing!

I had chosen another hospital in the past for my Bariatric sleeve surgery and I had a very bad experience with the chosen surgeon and nutritionist.

Bayshore Medical Center was the best place for my surgery. My doctor, Dr. Greco and Jess, my night nurse, went above and beyond for me, that exceeded my expectations!!!

And Mark, the patient advocate also went above and beyond as well !!! His story was powerful and I was thankful to have someone that could relate.

I am so glad that I had such wonderful care during my stay ! Thank you all once again for all that you did for me !

First, I must apologize, because this review is way overdue.
Unfortunately, every time I'm at this hospital, it is because of my elderly family members recurring health issues. Once there & being treated, I always say to myself "What amazing people!" "I'm going to write a letter." "Someone needs to know how good & hard their staff works." But, I never seem to get around to it. I'm so happy to get them discharged & back home, that this "letter" or "recognition" seems to take a back seat to me caring for them and life's other chores.
Well, not this time. This review is long over due.
I just got my family member back from over a 2 week stay... they are back home and doing good. Doing good because of the professional & caring people at this hospital.
Two people that deserve extraordinary recognition are;
Debbie Fisher: while I'm pretty sure it is not in her job description... she has always gone above & beyond when she sees my family members being admitted & going for more testing in the hallways. Her beautiful smile & bubbly attitude really cheers everyone up.
Mark Morrison: while it may be in Mark's job description to visit, and check in on patients, it is very clear that Mark is not just doing a job. He clearly loves what he does and does it wonderfully. He is another employee that goes above & beyond to make my family's stay as comfortable as possible.
I can't emphasize enough not only what wonderful people they are, but also employees, and true ASSETS to Bayshore Hospital.
It is a shame that I have not reviewed others in the past, and not given them the credit they deserve, but I can tell you that we have been everywhere from the ER room, to ICU, and almost every floor in between. In particular, we have spent much time on different visits to 2nd floor North, East, and West wings. And had exceptional treatment from all.
It is for this reason, that I wrote names down this visit, and wanted to thank & recognize the following staff on 2West:
Francis, Angela, Jesus, & Hanna
I hope in some way, these people read this, and realize how special & wonderful they all are.

Thanks for taking care of all of us! :-)

I drove myself to the emergency room in the early morning For serve abdominal pain and was greeted with such a friendly staff. The nurses in the er were so welcoming and caring, especially Coco! I checked myself in and was alone without any family or friends by my side but he made me feel so comfortable and that everything was going to be ok! This was my third visit to this emergency room and my first overnight stay. I wouldn t want to go to another hospital.

So... I'm currently laid up in 2 North, but I honestly can't complain. Everyone here has been very professional, attentive, and caring. From my nurses and aides, (both day and night) to my docs, to the food staff, sleep specialist, and cleaning folk that came in... I can't say enough. I know folks have different hospital experiences, but most only share when it's less than stellar. I can't say thanks enough to the "2 North Crew" for the professional and compassionate care given to me. Special shout out to Mark who always brings a much needed smile (and anything else you might need!) Katie (PCSW)) who brightened my room with her presence and Karen (dietition) who helped me to put things in a healthy perspective (y'all see what I did there... ) Much love and peace in Christ to you all! I'm sry I can't name you all, but each one of you made a difference for the better and I wanted you all to know that. Thank you for what you do! May you all receive a double portion blessing in return.

My experience at Bayshore Hospital this week was a very positive one. In the ER the nurses and doctors could not have been more attentive and caring. The Bayshore Hospital patient care representatives Mark Morrison and Dee Panella were exceptional and checked on me frequently to address any needs I might have. They both could not have been any nicer. I had no issues as the nurses and in particular Dr Yu were very proactive and attentive, spending as much time as needed even though the ER was quite busy. After being admitted the nurses on 4 East were also very kind and responsive. Especially Crystal Lee, Amy, Jorge and all the other nurses and their assistants that attended to me. The staff in the specialized testing rooms; stress test and echocardiogram were also very professional and caring. In short my experience during my stay at Bayshore could not have been better. I would not hesitate on returning if the need arises or in recommending Bayshore Hospital to my friends and family. In fact I already have. Well done everyone and thank you for the exceptional care given. Keep up the great work.

I agree with the previous review, Hackensack Meridian Health Bayshore Medical Center is one of the best hospitals situated in the local Hazlet--Middletown-Holmdel-Aberdeen-Matawan Community. The hospital structure and services has been completely revamped under Hackensack Meridian health for the good. Their dedication to providing healthcare promptly and with dignity to all patients really is a welcome change. As a person who has lived in this Community her whole life and has a chronic autoimmune condition, I'm no stranger to healthcare centers. HMH-Bayshore really does outshine RWJUH. The team of doctors, nurses, techs and others show their dedication and professionalism by providing world class service. I've been treated as a person first, patient second which is a welcome change. I cannot say thank you enough to all those working in the Emergency department, the Patient Experience Ambassador Mark Morrison (who is a tireless bundle of kindness, knowledge, dedication and energy) and those on the 2nd floor, especially nurses Catherine, Kateryna, Vanessa and endless array of patient care associates. They have made getting well and a hospital stay that much easier. Thank you for everything you do to make me get better.

Last week Bayshore Medical Center saved my life. The ER nurse, Ida, went above and beyond to stabilize me prior to me being admitted. Once I was sent up to 2 North, the nurses (Jessica, Linda, Lisa and Zee) as well as the PCA/PCT s went the extra mile to take care of me. My mother ended up staying overnight and they brought a recliner, pillows and blankets to make her comfortable. The cafeteria was open from 10pm-2am and the cook, George, was not only willing to make anything you wanted but the food was exceptional. Another invaluable staff member, Manal, was in charge of my meals. Not only does she have a wonderful memory about each patient and their diet, but she also went out of her way to ensure that my food allergies were highlighted and carefully checked. The cherry on top of the cake was meeting Mark Morrison, patient experience representative. Mark took the time to speak to my mother and I about our experience. He listened attentively, was polite and caring and checked in on us multiple times. I have never met a representative as genuine and passionate about his job as Mark is. He enjoys what he does and does it very well. By the time we had left we had made a lifelong friend. We are blessed. My experience at Bayshore Medical Center was first class the staff was highly qualified and dedicated. Being in the hospital, especially during the holidays, is never pleasant but with Bayshore Medical Center s staff I never felt like just a room number. Thank you Bayshore Medical Center.

I have not been to the emergency room in decades. On July 31, I went to Riverview Medical Center (Red Bank, NJ) emergency room with pain in my right leg that was 8-10 on the severity scale. If it were not so severe, I would have waited the 2 weeks it takes to get an appointment with an Orthopedic. They made me comfortable for a few hours and released me with prescriptions that did nothing for the pain. The next day, the pain was so severe, I had to go to the emergency room again, Bayshore Hospital (Holmdel, NJ) this time, and the same drill, comfortable for a few hours and released with medication that did nothing to manage the excruciating pain. Two days later, I was back in the emergency room and had to be driven by ambulance because I could not walk anymore without blinding pain. Finally, I was admitted and treated for the severity of my condition.
After speaking with Hackensack Meridian billing and Bayshore Patient Experience, explaining my situation, a review was initiated. I received the outcome of that review yesterday. Not surprisingly, when the independent party researched my emergency room care, it was determined nothing was done wrong. Also no one contacted me and asked my opinion. I was the one suffering and had the overwhelming expense of 3 emergency room visits in 4 days. How can a determination be made without interviewing the patient? I am sure the healthcare providers that tended to me on each visit all had good intentions. However, I am outraged by the additional pain and suffering I had to endure before they finally got it right and admitted me and administered the proper treatment for my condition. Additionally, Hackensack Meridian did nothing to mitigate the absurd cost of the experience which included an ambulance ride on my 3rd visit which was an additional $1300 net to me, to get driven a half mile to the hospital. If I received the proper care on my first visit, the cost for my treatment would be thousands of dollars less. The fact that Hackensack Meridian is taking no action to acknowledge and make things right is disgusting and shameful.

If you have to go to a hospital or emergency room ...

If you have to go to a hospital or emergency room Bayshore Medical Center is the absolute best hospital, hands down! Do not consider going anywhere else. Over the past 25 years that I have lived in NJ, Bayshore Medical Center s reputation in the community has completely changed. This is not the old Bayshore. Bayshore Medical Center now has remarkable, excellent and knowledgeable doctors and nurses who do take the time to actually listen to you and come up with a plan to save your life. While my daughter was admitted in the hospital (on 2 North) I could not have been more grateful for the level and quality of care that she received. While I don t remember all of the nurses and aides in 2 North, I do know that their attitude and work ethic was outstanding. No request was considered bothersome or petty. I also had the opportunity to meet Mark Morrison, patient experience representative. Mark made me feel like a family member and VIP. Mark went above and beyond to ensure that all our needs were met with the highest standards. I cannot extol his virtues enough. The kitchen staff was more than accommodating for any food request I had. Manal personally came to check on my daughter to ensure her food allergies and diet were listed correctly. George was always pleasant and greeted you with a smile and made delicious food. In total, my experience at Bayshore Medical Center was more than I could have asked for. This truly is a place to go for quality care.

After reading the reviews on here I was very hesitant to go to the ER. But finally I couldn't take it anymore. So I went with low expectations. When I got there, they were all so incredibly nice, I was seen right away, they gave me pain medication at a dose that helps other than other hospitals who give you a small amount 4 times, they gave me 1 dose that lasted for awhile and when it started to wear off they gave me more and did their best to keep me as comfortable as possible. Anytime I go to Dr's or ers it usually takes a bunch of needle pokes before they can get my vein because they are so thin. Linda was amazing. First try, 1-2-3 barely felt it. They really seemed like they cared about every patient. Just by overhearing other rooms as well. And i didn't have my insurance ID on me, so they had to out down no insurance atm and they still treated me so well. The guy at the cat scan was awesome and funny which calmed me down and was able to not move while I was in there. Also have a bad back so needed help lying down and getting back up. And he was there to help each time. The Dr's and Dr's assistants were great as well. There was no wait. I was there longer than everyone but that's because I still wasn't feeling well and they wanted to get me as close to comfortable so I could sleep when I got home. So I am so thankful for the hospital and it's staff. Also saw the peds er while going towards bathroom and it looks great. My son, would love it, if God forbid something happened. If I had to say a bad thing about them, it's so small that it doesn't matter much but to make sure you know I'm not just a. Employee blowing smoke lol but my chart kept getting misplaced here or there. When I went to cat scan room in wheelchair the chart was on the back of the seat. And the woman forgot, I forgot myself so I can see how things happen. Especially since she usually wasn't a runner . But other than that, they treated me well and respected my wife without a second thought. I appreciate everything you guys did for me. Thank you.

Recently I was hospitalized at Bayshore medical Center and I cannot say enough good things about them. Starting in the emergency department. Dr Yu is simply amazing. He was patient with me, explained everything, listened to me, and made me feel as though I was a priority. Dr Yu kept both myself and my husband informed of everything that was happening with me; if there was a wait he explained. Extremely nice doctor. I was later moved to 3 east when I was admitted. The staff there was stellar as well. Tobi, Mariella, Okasha all were outstanding. Always smiling and friendly. They kept me in the know as far as my medications and my care. I was never worried about a thing. Ivona was the star nurse on the wing. She made you feel like the only patient she had though she had many. She was attentive to everyone with such great care. Ivona was a pleasure to be around. If I had any questions, she was ready to get the answer. PCT Diana was also very helpful for me during my stay. She was there to make my bed, take me to where I needed to go and bath me. I would also like to recognize patient advocate Mark Morrison. Everyday I was there he stopped in my room to see how everything was and if I needed anything. He made me smile and brightened my day during the time we spent together. If I needed anything he was there to help. He brought me tea when I needed tea. Everyone that came into his presence left him with a smile. The hospital has been working hard to help the patients and listen to them more. From my experience, they have been successful in doing so.

My name is Eric Dejesus. I was a patient at Bayshore Hospital from December 10 -December 24 2018. I am writing to let you know that my stay there was better than I ever expected. The care I received was excellent. The nurses and staff on the 4th floor my room was 438a .The staff there gave me excellent care. Crystal was one of the nurses there and she stood out the most to me. She informed me so much about my condition. I called this crew the 'A Team'. There the best at Bayshore. My family and I will always be forever grateful to all the staff there for all the help and care and expertise to getting me better. Thank you again, Eric

Recently I had a bariatric procedure done and my surgeon was Dr. Greco. I first met with Dr. Greco in 2018 and I liked him. He did a procedure and it went smoothly. I had gone back to him a few months ago and again my procedure went smoothly on his part. I have to say that he is an outstanding surgeon who makes you feel at ease anytime he meets with you. He has great bedside manners and so does the rest of his bariatric team. I highly recommend this team if you are looking to have bariatric surgery (gallbladder, hernia, banding, sleeve, etc). Honestly, his nurses, receptionist, and nutritionist are all a pleasure. I was admitted on a Monday and didn't leave the hospital until that Saturday due to dehydration issues but the staff on 2 East made my stay very comfortable. I truly enjoyed my nurses, Amber, Angela, Karen and their assistants....they were all fantastic!!!!!! Cheryl at the concierge desk always checked on me to make sure I was looked after well. Denise, the environmental supervisor was terrific. If I was unhappy with the cleanliness of anything she would have her staff on it right away. Last but not least Mark Morrison, our Patient Advocate....he was simply the best. He would come by to check in on me everyday. He demonstrated a genuine concern when we spoke, he was professional, sympathetic, funny and he could relate to my situation. I was fortunate to have a wonderful experience thanks to the Bayshore staff!

Stephanie and Dawn from the 4 South Unit are a Godsend. They are BEYOND EXCEPTIONAL.

From the moment they began caring for my father, my family and I have felt they were treating one of their own family members.

They are compassionate, positive and respectful, extremely attentive and knowledgeable. They have been on top of everything my father and family has needed.

This has been a very stressful event for myself and my family. But knowing that Stephanie and Dawn are caring for my father when we re not there allows us peace of mind and makes ALL the difference in the world.

Words cannot express how grateful we are for the both of them. They deserve 10 stars!

My father was brought into the hospital through the emergency room. As I followed behind the ambulance through the parking lot I noticed a free vallet parking sign. I thought that was very nice of the hospital. I jumped out of the car and the attendant asked me where I was headed. I told him I'm not sure, my father is in that ambulance up ahead. He told me that I could park in the specially marked emergency room parking spaces. I was very relieved being so close to the entrance to the emergency room.
When I entered the emergency room all of the staff were very friendly and super helpful. From an outsider looking in at the operation of the hospital. The best way I can describe it is a well oiled machine. They didn't skip a beat. Each person who spoke with my father was extremely professional and were quick to joke with him to make him feel relaxed, calm and at home. I was very happy to see my father laugh and smile while in that much pain.

My father was admitted to 2W. All of the nurses were incredible, extremely friendly to my father, mother, myself and my brother. I was also very impressed with the way the staff spoke to us, making sure that we understood all of the medical terms and procedures!

I hate hospitals because they always feel so cold. This hospital made you feel like a part of the family! Everyone I crossed paths with from the parking attendant, the nurses, physical therapist, PA's, even the elevator maintenance man were very excited to be working at the hospital and making everyone's experience the best possible!

I went to the cafeteria a few times during my father's stay. Opening the door to the cafeteria, immediately you were enticed with the wonderful smells of the food cooking. They had just about anything you can think of to satisfy any size appetite!

I hope never to be in the situation where I need a hospital again, but knowing that Hackensack Meridian is in the area makes me feel much better.

Thank you to all who made our stay with you a very pleasant one!!!

I was a patient from December 27th through December 31st where I was an inpatient in both in 2 East and 2 West. The care at Bayshore was amazing. I have been on EMS for about 11 years and the change I ve seen in those years has been incredible.

Dr. Greico is amazing. He did my bariatric surgery in May 2018, and he honestly saved my life. Dr. Greico was able to operate me on Monday. He is one of the most caring and trusting surgeons that I would ever trust with my life. After waiting a few days, he was able to remove my gallbladder. He was so reassuring and was able to keep me calm.

While I was back in my room, I was able to speak with patient care advocate Mark. I met Mark two years ago when I went for my bariatric surgery. He was absolutely amazing. We shared stories of where we have been since our bariatric surgeries and he is honestly an incredible human being. He gave me a journey so I can continue to document my journey.

I can honestly not thank Mark and Dr. Greico enough.

DO NOT! DO NOT GO HERE! They do not care to help you they are some of the rudest people ive ever met. Everything is backwards there. If you can go to any other hospital than here it would be to your benefit.

I was admitted and set up in 2North.

I was admitted and set up in 2North.

I was greeted by my nurse Laura (aka partner in crime, you know what i'm talking about :-) ). Her smile and personality are infectious and I was fortunate to have her for both nights. Anything I needed she took care of me within minutes. Always positive always smiling.

Noelle also so very sweet. Great conversationalist! She shared how much she loves Costa Rica and how much she wants to go back. I don't blame her, after her description and how it lit up her face, I want to go there too. Noelle also has the infectious smile and such a great personality! I actually got to see her today and I was so happy I did!

Kaitlyn could have been a great partner in crime by getting me some of her crumb cake but my orders were still not to eat but I know for sure if I could I would have had crumb cake! She too, infectious smile and so positive.

Karen my next night nurse. She had me figured out - no way was I going to convince her to bring me anything I couldn't have! I had met my match! She was great! Anytime I needed anything she was there even when I didn't she would check to make sure I was ok and if I needed anything.

I finally have one procedure and I'm now on Day 4 of no food and I get clear liquids! Never been so excited before about beef broth in my life and jello! Jeune was now my evening nurse. Another sweet person has entered into my story. She made sure I had everything I needed and even when I didn't call she would stop in. I tried to also make her my partner in crime by convincing her to bring me pudding. I knew I could only have jello and initially for about 5 seconds she was getting me pudding. As she is walking to the door she remembered I could not have jello (secretly I was celebrating getting pudding). Jeune turns around and comes back and reminded me pudding isn't clear! :-). Jeune then goes into hallway and I can hear her requesting pudding and not jello. I was getting my pudding. My plan is working! She then quickly said no not pudding she can only have jello. :-( To my delight though, she got me two jellos and just before midnight asked if I wanted more. She knew I was having surgery the next day and wanted to make sure I had something more. Again I didn't have to initiate, she did!

There are so many names in 2North I cannot recall so forgive me if for this one, Portugal the Nurse, my mommy here taking care of me. She knew how to get my blood and would tuck me in. She made me laugh so much! She was another positive person and another one that took the initiative to take good care of me. Always a smile and positive. I'm going to miss my Portugal Mommy! ;-)

All the nurses and I mean all, because I can't remember everyone's name, and forgive me for any misspelled names above, had one thing in common, they initiated and made sure my care was taken care of. The orderlies where also high on my compliment list, I couldn't convince them to break rules either for pudding or pies.

Now 2West.... I got around after surgery!

I begun briefly with Patricia whom was another one with an infectious smile and attitude. So positive and although just brief, she left an impression too! She too was an initiator! Took care of all my needs.
I got another Karen for my night nurse. Another keeper! She took such great care of me and would also initiate questions and make sure I was taken care of. Positive person and so caring! After her shift she was all packed up ready to go and she stopped by to say good bye! I have never had anyone go that little extra to just say goodbye before leaving. Such a kind gesture! And something I will remember.

From ER, Endoscopy, Surgery, Food, House keeping, Mark, Dr's, Assistants, Nurses, vital techs, blood takers, this hospital has great staff members! Common theme - caring and initiators! For the record I got cake today!

Sorry for the long review, I'm currently working on my Doctoral, so just be thankful there are no citations included! :-)

Went to the ER earlier this month cause I fell an injured my back. Went to the check in told the lady I cannot stand I injured my back and was in agonzing pain. Forced me to stand up after I told her I can't after screaming at her. I was pushed in room and waited for the doctor he came in felt my back and said there is nothing they could do I will be fine in 3 days. Never bothered doing x rays. Good thing I followed up with an orthopedic doctor it turned out I had two herniated discs in my lower back and it needed to be surgical fixed. Also on the way out I told the people at the guest relations desk that I called an uber and just needed help to the car in 2 minutes. When my uber arrived twice no one bothered pushing me to the car. It took the nice uber driver to push me to his car. Very bad experience
