Nice visit but very bad service since we were '' young '' and seemed not to be a big buyer. Only one waitress was kind enough to answer us after three others went to serve the people next door who seemed to have more money ... in short if you look rich, go for it is a nice visit Wineries and you will have a good service but if you look middle class or young appointments service and go somewhere else.

The tour was incredibly interesting and we loved how we were allowed to walk freely between the barrels. We also liked how it was completely audio guided so you didn't have to wait for a group to start in your language. It was a little bit expensive though at 15 EUR with the two small wines to taste at the end. Very informative but repetitive at times.
We had lunch at the restaurant at the end with the lunch menu. Very good value for money and great food! Service was good but not very personal, this is a business but the view was amazing.

Great experience, visit and tasting was all very well explained, approachable and yet very exhaustive. Facilities look great, with impressive cellars, a charming garden and an agreeable tasting room. Worth the 12 euros

What a wonderful place to visit, and some of the most expensive port you could buy is available for sample. Probably one of the better tours available in Porto and end the tour with a nice glass of port in the grassed courtyard. Might even be lucky to meet one of the feathered locals...

A must tour and wine tasting. The grounds are beautiful with lovely views and curious inhabitants. When we went the peacocks and their family were walking around from table to table.

It is worth the hike up the hill to get here (If you're walking). The views are incredible! I did a wine tasting with a group of people that proved to be very fun. There is also a little shop to buy smaller bottles of wine.

You can enjoy tasting for free and port wine that has been matured for a long time. After all, as the years go by, the corners get sharper and milder. However, it may be cheap because it is a delicate difference.
It's better to take a tour than a free tasting.
For some reason there are peacocks and chickens like a rooster walking in the garden.
We recommend that you go to one of the wineries of Port Wine ( )
Ronaldo in football is described as having a more mature taste and more like port wine.

Located in the upper area of Vila Nova de Gaia, this impressive winery preserves one of the largest barrels in the world. Input with audio guide without time constraints. High quality wines.

A very professional setup with friendly reception, 12 self-guided audio tour through the cave with a comprehensive explanation of viticulture and producing port in the Douro valley. Some good photo opportunities of the cats and barrels in the cellars and of the river from the lovely restaurant. Included in the tour is tasting of two ports in the elegant indoor tasting area or the rose garden . A gift shop has a range of their branded souvenirs or, of course, the excellent port!

The wine tour (fee of 5 euros per pax) was excellent. The tour guide, a young man in suit, was very knowledgeable and nice. The wine (port) tasting was excellent - now i know what to look for in a port and will definitely take to it in place of beer or wine as my night cap!
The main dislike was getting to the place; quite a hassle by public transport. The nearest metro stop is a long walk away. Found out later that a more convenient stop is the Gen Torres, which is not on the metro line but rather, the regional train line. You can catch the train from either Sao Bento or Campanha, and you can use the same Andante card as for the metro and bus!

I loved this visit. The setting is really beautiful, the port excellent and the welcome really perfect. The guide gave me a lot of fascinating information on the origins and the mode of production of certain ports. Really great, I don't regret it.

Nice and clear tour with audio guidance. Not that busy at all, which makes it very pleasant to stroll around. In the end, the audio guidance became somewhat lengthy. Your ticket also includes a tasting for 2 tastings, a bonus! The service and food was correct and pleasant. We spent a total of 2 to 3 hours here because we were so comfortable here. I recommend it!

A great experience through audioguides (even in Dutch) with a tasting at the end (very tasty indeed). If you go at the end of the morning you can add a snack and an extra glass of port to make it a lunch. There is also a restaurant on the premises for a more elaborate meal. The only downside I experienced was that the tour was very museum-like, even though we were walking in between barrels that are in use for making the port wine. This is because everything is on the audio guide, on text plaques, images and videos. Then again, they probably could not offer the tour in so many different languages otherwise. I would go here again when visiting the cellars a second time.

LOVE this place. Extremely helpful staff and you can head to the tasting garden even if you haven't done the tour. 3 ports starting at 12 euros and they are delicious. You can sit outside in the secret garden which is surrounded by vines and greenery. Very beautiful. There are a few peacocks running around too! I loved this place and would go back!!

A healthy climb up the hill to get to Taylor's, but for me well worth it. Their is no need to worry about getting the timing of your tour right because it is self-guided. This allows you to learn as much or as little about port production as you like. It also allows you to wander about at your own speed. At the end of the tour you get to sample 2 port wines in their shop/restaurant. The garden here is very pretty with chickens and pea-hens wandering about and you also get a great view of the Four and the Ribeira quarter of Porto

In this wine cellar you can make an interesting guided tour of the facilities with wine tasting. You can also enjoy beautiful views over the city of Porto while enjoying a fine meal in the restaurant in this cellar, or just beyond the panoramic view, stroll through its beautiful gardens and enjoy the beauty of the peacocks that walk there.

I suppose you can not visit Porto without going to a port warehouse...Taylor's I am told is the best but in the end you look at a load of barrels while someone explains how port is made. OK if you have not something better to do with your time.

You can have a glass of wine for 15 euros (no white or one red). You can tour while listening to Korean audio guide! It was good to be Korean audio, but it was so boring that it was weird. The part that explained how to ripen wine by type was interesting, but the history was too long and the name was endless and boring. I didn't take it away and took over the winery. This tmi was too long and long. And at the end, I drank wine and gave me a thin booklet.

Good place to learn about Port, its history and how it's made. Heavy on marketing for Taylor's but still a nice place to visit and interesting educational experience. The port tastings at the end feel well-earned and being a British establishment lots of English signage and menus

We went this wine cellar because is far from the bridge, therefore less people and no need for bookings... The surprise was when we saw it was 12,00Eur for a audioguide tour, comparing with other wine cellar guided tours (for 7/8Euros) I felt it was an impersonal and 'cold' experience. The wine cellar is nice and the paths are well taken care of. At the end they served us a very small portion of wine and with nothing to eat.. I was expecting at least some crackers or maybe some cheese as normally you can find in most of the wine tastings. The entrance and the wine tasting staff is nice.

Korean guide is perfect. Perhaps it was the most complete audio guide on the Iberian Peninsula. The tasting was also delicious and the location was not good but I think it is definitely worth a visit.

An excellent visit. Really explained the story of the Port wine business and it's growth over the last 300 plus years. My understanding of Port has definitely expanded! Lovely venue where the Port was aged after travel by boat down the Douro from the vineyards further up the valley. At the end of the visit we arrived at a lovely tasting venue/garden area. Two Ports were included in our ticket price each, others you paid for. We had a lovely late "lunch" of a selection of other ports to compare, together with a cheese platter. Service was excellent, not a bad way to have a lunch.....

Taylor's Port is one of the best known and prestigious port houses in Porto, and they offer a very reasonable 12 euro tour with wine tasting. The self-guided tour was interesting and allowed us to roam free throughout the property. When the tour was complete, the outdoor gardens whilst enjoying your wine tasting were absolutely gorgeous. There were chickens and other animals walking about. It felt like a rustic respite in the middle of the city.

It has been a very pleasant sight. Having the opportunity to visit the winery, walk among barrels of porto, and know what hides behind this fantastic wine, makes the visit an experience. With the entrance, which costs 15 euros, in addition to the entrance is included a tasting 2 wines (white and red)

Taylor's wineries are a great place to complete your visit to Porto. The visit is made with some devices with recordings informing you of the history of the place that can become somewhat monotonous (I would prefer to pay something more for a guide). The place invites you to relax and enjoy the moment.

The wine-tasting garden is very beautiful - you can see the whole of Porto from some of the spots. The wine was very nice. The staff seems to be a bit annoyed with their job and you can tell that they memorized a paragraph about each wine, so the "wine talk" is very boring.

In sum, a disappointment :-(

Interesting tour with audioguide, unfortunately the battery failed after 2/3 of the tour
What you do not expect at a hefty price of 15 per person.
The Anbiente the subsequent Portweinverkostung was great, you get a red and a white for tasting, all other extras are expensive.

Very disappointed, we would then in the shop, after a purchase of just under 40 we had the request instead of plastic bag to get a paper bag, this was not possible despite two queries.

And last but not least, a few minutes later, in a wine shop, we saw the same wine (vintage itself) cheaper!

If you look at the evaluation of the last few years, they have understood at Taylor's how to attract tourists the best money from the bag.

Instructive audio tour with delicious portions afterwards. The service is very friendly and takes the time for explanation. This does result in a fairly long wait until someone comes to help you at all.

For me this is the most well known port brand so I was excited to get the chance to see and understand how port is made. It's located near the top of the hill over the river it's has spectacular views from the restaurant deck.

Once you arrive you'll get a electronic tour guide phone. This was really convenient as there was no waiting around and you can take your own time to explore and take some cool photos. Even though this is a working area they have set it out like a museum with movies and interactive displays. Of all the port cellars I visited this was the best by far. At the end of the tour you make your way to the tasting room were you are given a white and red port to taste in the flowered gardens surrounded by peacocks.

For 12 this is not to be missed a special experience that you will only find in Porto.

It was quite interesting as a tourist spot.

It was quite interesting as a tourist spot.
It was a tour + port wine tasting course, but first of all, in the tour section, as you can see many pictures, you can watch the explanation videos in some places while going through the tour course surrounded by large barrels. You can hardly see the scenery of the wine barrels, and you can see the wine production process visually in the video. (The most interesting scene is the step of squeezing the grape juice while stepping on the harvested grapes together. The old traditions and the feelings of winemakers in making wine have been communicated.)
At the end of the course there are two tastings of port wine. One glass per person (each serving is less). After studying about the port wine in the tour course and raising expectations in the meantime, the wine I drank was exceptional. At the tasting hall, you can also order and enjoy many other types of port wines and snacks.

The self-guided tour was interesting and the wind tasting delicious. The visit was worth it. However, the wines in the shop are overpriced. I thought it would be cheaper to buy it there since this is their official shop where they store their wines. Nope. It's cheaper to buy them at the tourist shops on any of the major streets in Gaia or Porto. Do the tour, but skip their souvenir shop. You can find exact same ones at cheaper price out there

A very good experience, the guided tour is very informative and interesting, covering both the history of the Taylor house and Port wine in general. The wine tasting allows you to try different high quality and very pleasant wines.

A must-see restaurant with excellent dishes tour of the cellars suggestive and exciting where you can enjoy an excellent aroma of fermenting wine.
Everything ends with the tasting of an exceptional white and red.

Nice and spacious estate containing store houses, exhibitions, gardens and a tasting restaurant. Pretty views accross the river to the steep Porto hills. The tour is only with audio guide, but nicely done. Two ports are included in the tour, food and additional ports ate rather expensive.

This place is a must if you spend a couple of days in Porto. An audio guide, small cinema, pictures and texts offer a great insight in the history and making of port wines. The included/ free tasting with two port wines at the end is a great experience which you must not miss. The 12 ticket price are totally worth it.
