Already the tasting is paying. I've never seen this in France. Moreover, the tasting room offers wines that are no longer available. And end of the end, I have to hold my york in my arms because he does not accept dogs.
It's up to you to see if you go your way or not ......

Very nice winery at the top of Gaia. The price seems excessive to make you alone the guide with audio. The wine tasting on the terrace with a sunny day is definitely the best. The prices of wines in your store are much more expensive than in Porto stores.

Visit Tailor's. If you really want to taste port wine, this is a must. We have tasted a Ruby Vintage package for a fee in the beautiful rose garden (one package is enough for two) and ordered additional mineral water. The shop also offers great and a visit to this is worthwhile.

The only downer: had to discuss a long time, because a glass / bottle of cork had. The glass was exchanged after 3x discussions and so we could really enjoy the tasting.

As a big fan of Taylor port I was disappointed with the audio tour. It lacks a lot of the character and charm of the other port houses that are guided by person. Defiantly the worst port house experience I've had in Porto. In contrast the restaurant is excellent.

The audio-guided tour is quite detailed, covering many different aspects of port production and the history of the company. Be sure to budget enough time for it - the tour takes around an hour (probably longer if you read everything), and that's not including time to relax outside and enjoy a couple glasses of port afterwards. Well worth the cost.

We barely made it to Taylors before they closed for the evening. We had climbed a very steep hill with a stroller to get there. Thankfully, Claire, one of the staff members, saw us climbing and allowed us in even though they were closing up shop. We got to take a quick stroll through the cellar and take a quick tasting, which was so gracious of them to do for us. Although it was a quick visit, we really enjoyed our time. It is a BEAUTIFUL place and I hope to return someday.

Stunning and beautiful property. The views are fantastic. I opted for the vertical tasting of 10 yr, 20 yr, 30 yr 40 yr Tawny Port along with the VERY OLD 1967. Mario was a wonderful host and had an encyclopedic knowledge of port wine. If you visit Oporto......this is a must.

Most definitely worth visiting and going for a tour + tasting! Waiters are well trained in multiple languages, kind and friendly - extremely professional and the smell of the wine is amazing! Worth a visit for sure!

Great experience to spend some hours in Porto.
With 15 you'll get a full audioguide to help you get the most out of the cellars tour; then at the end of the visit a coupon for 2 port glasses in a very unique location surrounded by beautiful peacocks.

The audio guide seems to take some optimization - or more patience from the user. The tour is informative, but develops towards the final but strong to self-promotion. There are two good ports for the tasting. Overall neat, but not very spectacular. The price-performance ratio is just right.

Guided tour very well explained by the guide.
The view is fantastic and the Port wines from this house are very good. We could taste 3 wines, which meant we had to go to the store and buy some bottles to continue tasting at home !!!

Disappointment. The reception person edges and dries. The visit for 15 euros with audioguide in Spanish and the most important explanation is in a room with a giant screen in English. It includes the tasting of two kinds of wine but they did not offer us more nor a letter to nibble ... to others if. I would not go back, of course.

Taylor's Port is worthy to visit! You can choose for a self guided audio tour in all languages. Beside this, you get a lot of information. Most important off course is the tasting in the restaurant. We did the tasting in the beautiful garden, recommended! And bring some port wine with us to enjoy at home!

Yup, its all that and a bag of chips. A really well laid out location with a complete tour package. they have some some wonderful ports to try and both red and white and most importantly the right staff to help guide you. The grounds are great for relaxing and really taking in the view of the town and enjoying the moment. Go and you will have no regrets about it.

The garden - a wonderful place to taste the great port wines. Sure, the prices are not a bargain, but always justified. In addition very nice advice and some delicious little things to eat and snack. A must for port lovers

The tour is a bit expensive IMHO, but other than that it's interesting. Seeing the vat and the cellar was amazing. There's a little bit too much of Taylor's advertisement in the audio guide ("we're the best gnagnagna") but it's fun. The tasting was nice too.
I feel like I got conned since I paid for a tour and to taste something I bought just after, but well, I'm a stupid tourist. :)

Of the many Port companies to choose from Taylors was recommended to us by a local taxi driver. The tour was excellent and well laid out and explained the business and story of Porto and Port really clearly. We chose to partake in the tasting, which while nice, at 15 /head was quite expensive for 2 small glasses of Port (one LBV).

The restaurant with the best views of Porto, from the top of Gaia overlooking the riverbank. It has a spectacular terrace and is perfect for weddings and celebrations, surrounded by wineries and vines. The food is not the best in Porto, but it is well defended. The only bad thing is that it is expensive.

Exquisite port wine in an idyllic setting. Service is above average, feeling a bit scripted when you are presented with various bottles. Staff is very open to input though. They unfortunately forgot our second order. Staff member played it really well and advised me to work out a solution with the responsible waitress, in stead of confronting his colleague himself. Obviously there was no such thing as a fitting compensation, just mere empty promises. Regardless, perfect place to try out some fancy port! Be prepared for a steep climb if you re approaching this place from the north.

Place to try this Port wine. Far away from the river, but very charming. To eat has a terrace with views. We had a few glasses of wine and a cheese board from Portugal. It was all very good, but the wine was quite expensive.

Well worth a visit. Really interesting and interactive. Appropriate for kids too as they get grape juice at the end and there is plenty to keep them entertained.

Could have stayed in the cellar room for hours - it smelt amazing!

A great tasting of some great port in a nice garden to relax in. Great place. However some staff gave a lot of information about the ports and some have almost none, so depending on how much you want to learn you could get a little disappointment in the presentation of some staff.

Highlight of the tasting and tour was sitting in the beautiful outdoor space. The tour itself is self-guided so you can go at your own pace, spend more/less time in particular areas, etc. We found it quite informative.

We loved sitting in the outdoor terrace area for the tasting. It was such a beautiful sunny day and they do not rush you.

The only thing you learn with the audio tour is that Taylor's invented a fake vintage port. Which you get to sample in addition to the equally irrelevant invention of a vinegar type white wine called 'chip dry'.
Impressive how many times the company's name can be mentioned within an hour's audio.
Location is nice.

I'm a Taylor so was drawn for obvious reasons to this particular Port company. I'm very impressed with my namesake's work shown off around the cellar tour and port tasting area. Very interesting to learn about the history of Port production and trade as well as more recent efforts to become more environmentally sensitive and reduce their impact on climate change. I thought both ports given to taste were delicious. Exit through the gift shop!

Walk up the steep hill to find one of two of Porto s most famous wine cellars.

For someone who doesn t know a lot about port, it was interesting to learn how it came to being one of the world s most popular wine varieties. It s a surprising story that I won t spoil for you.

It s not a guided tour, so expect to use a handheld audio guide which was a bit confusing to use we thought. I felt that the tour itself while informative at the beginning got a bit repetitive and was slightly too promotional of Taylor s.

At the end of the tour you have the opportunity to taste small glasses of two different ports.

There are a couple peacocks roaming the grounds - very surprising!

Very good tasting in a great atmosphere. We were in the garden and on the terrace - twice we were there. Because it was so good and the port wines tasted extremely good compared to three other four local suppliers. A rooster and four pheasants ran around the garden. Just beautiful. The prices were okay. In Porto and Lisbon the prices of the ports were always more expensive. Sometimes considerably. We were surprised that the Taylor Ports at Lisbon Airport in the Duty Tree was a bit cheaper than at Taylors direct. However, there are not all tranches at the airport.

Visit without a route. Tasting only. Very large room with outdoor terrace and shop. We tasted 3 different types of Porto, more or less aged, all very good. Prices a bit 'altini, about 20. Staff very kind and generous with explanations about wine.

A little off. You have to walk a few steps already. It's not that crowded for that. The tour is with audio guide (also in German) and can be started at any time. Very nice atmosphere with style. Cost: 15 incl. Two port samples. Recommendation!!!

The price is half salty, a few euros more expensive than the other cellars. But as it is by audioguide you make your time, dedicating more or less time to each step of the visit that goes through the history of the region where the grapes are planted, such as harvesting, treading, quality tests. It also explains the process of maturation of each type, in addition to a detailed history of Taylor's. Highlight for the guessing smell section, the challenge remains. Finally, the evidence room is a charm, open in a rosary and with super attentive attendants who offer to take pictures and everything. I mean, it's worth it!
