Was having an amazing time till the ceo and his entourage took our umbrellas by mistake. The team decided to give us umbrellas from random hotels, instead of asking for ours back.

Closer to the origin of port wine. At the end of the tour you can taste with a nice cafe.
Very good tasting options, fantastic view and ambience and very good food
Well documented visit in Portuguese. In the final wine tasting, employees give preference to people who seem to have the most money.
In Sandeman, time trips, and here an audio guide at any time. Port is more expensive than in the store, but a great selection of vintages
Great place to learn about wine making! We went here before our Douro Valley Wine Tour and it enhanced our understanding thanks to this audio tour.
It is an audio tour, meaning you get this device that looks a lot like a TV remote control which you put against your ears like a phone. It can be slightly annoying to have to manually do this and I ended skipping some of the talk as a result.
At the end of your tour you receive a tasting of white and red port wine. The garden was spacious and cool with a extremely friendly rooster (you can pet him!!) and a couple of random peacocks.
TIP: In one of the rooms you can take a free shale (a type of stone used for growing the grapevines) picked freshly from their vineyard. Also if you arrive from Porto Airport, grab the free map that they are handing out. You can present the map and each person from your group can receive a free tasting of vintage Port.
Absolutely wonderful place to visit and a must see place for anybody. Had a great experience touring the winery and tasting at the garden of the villa.
Great tour with an AudioGuide, even in German! Duration about 45-60min. Afterwards, you can round off the tour in the rose garden with two wine tastings!
Fantastic atmosphere, a bit long and side way to the vineyard from the waterfront, but there is no standard guide and we get something in the form of a handset that automatically tells. This allows you to explore at your own pace. Finally, tasting of two types of wine. A basket of 15 euros per person. Wonderful wines. It goes much easier;)
Korean guide available. I don't know how many things are pressed but I don't know if it's only mine. Holding bread in hand Peacock steals. Be careful. I don't know how good Alsura is, but it's great to relax in the garden.
Very efficient and cost effective introduction to Porto wines.
One of the oldest vineries there. We really enjoyed :)
Uninteresting tour, only in audio guide without guide. Tasting of poor quality port. To avoid especially for the price (15 )
. . ..! ....
.
. . .
Enjoy your visit with beautiful buildings, beautiful collections and interesting explanations. The advantage of the interactive solo tour is that you decide how much time you spend in each part according to your interest. The tasting at the end of the visit, with two glasses, in the sun, was very pleasant.
This is my favorite port house and I enjoyed my visit. But it's really oriented on that brand, too much shameless advertising. The tour repeats much of the same information and is a bit boring. Had to skip some audio stuff at the end. There is not even a price reduction when you are there on the Porto :( really sad about that. But overall it was quite nice and great staff. For sure we recommend.
Being in Porto and not visiting this winery is as if it had not come here. Despite particularly liking the wines from the nearby downstairs this basement is also great, a great tour. Everything is beautiful, the visit does not need to be scheduled and costs around 15 euros with direct proof of two wines. There is a restaurant and an on-site shop that you can access without making the visit to the cellars.
Visiting this winery is a pleasant walk through the history of wine, the brand and the city. At the end of the tour two wines are tasted in a very cozy and quiet patio.
Mooi porthuis met een private tour! Na afloop 2 portjes inclusief .
Beautiful grounds and building and interesting, if seemingly non-functional, warehouses/barrel cave . Pro-tip, though: skip the audio guide, find the toilet, and there s a back door to exit into the cave . You get the rough experience of the inside exhibits, save 12 and get to pick what wines you want to try instead of the two that they ve chosen to accompany the tour.
Great tour through the winery, quite well done and informative.
Friendly staff. The visit is done with an audio guide, you can arrive at any time but disadvantage a visit with a real guide would be more fun
The tour is self-guided which allows you to take as much or little time as you like. Fair price of 12 which includes 2 glasses of port at the end. The garden and terrace are great for enjoying a few glasses!
Nice visit, but after the tasting, I decided to taste the taylor's vintage port 1985 .... 20 the glass all the same ..... and that's what brings me back ..... The same amount only for tasting! And without seeing the bottle .... a serious doubt about the vintage! Making the comment to the waiter, he offers me white ..... a little limit following me!
Very good service with updated ambient.
High quality food and price.
Very nice winery a bit offside the tourist tracks of Vila Nova de Gaia. Make sure you take the audiotour (15 /June 2019) it's very well designed, full of information about the Port production and at the end you get to tast some of the Port in the beautiful garden.
Had a pleasant tour in English with a visit of the cellars and a tasting of three or four wines. Nice view from their terrace
Never tried port but always like to immerse myself in local cultures, so visited this place. The tour was informative (i like facts about anything) especially if you enjoy port or wine.
Sitting in the garden tasting a couple of different ports with a rooster and peaco ks wandering around was even more enjoyable.
My experience particularly was not the best, I got to the place and to visit and tasting I needed to pay 15.00 euros! There were me and other tourists in line and a couple arrived and ignored the order and even then it was attended to in front of everyone else! I began the visitation, the place is beautiful and the story can be followed through a timeline (narrated in several languages). When I arrived at the restaurant that is the tasting place I sat down and waited to be answered, no one came to my table and so I asked the attendant at the counter who said that the service was on the table, I requested to be answered by someone else and I continued to wait, I asked someone else to wait until I gave up waiting! I went to the reception and asked how I could have my tasting money back and was informed that it was not possible, I asked if I could take a water or a grape juice in the place of the tasting and I was also informed about the impossibility! So my experience was very unpleasant.
Il porto buonissimo e la visita non era a pagamento, almeno per noi
12 euros to listen to a self-guide and drink 2 glasses of Porto .... very touristy and really commercial place. Nice to see the cellars but concretely we learn nothing about the making of port and we feel alone with its audio guide. This visit is sorely lacking in explanation and concrete.
For an equivalent price you can have a real tasting with explanations on the history of the port and on what you drink at the Portologia.
Very interesting and nice Porto wine tasting. I would have appreciated something less centered on the Taylor's brand - the self-guided tour is very marketing oriented in a way that it is a promotion of the brand. But you'd miss something not coming. It is also worth the price.
Must visit place in Porto. We learn so much about the wine and how to make it in a very organized way. We got a free wine tasting after the tour as well.
Very informative audio tour ending with tasting of white (dry) and red (sweet )port wines
The whole stay took us around 2h , definitely worth the money if you are in to history of wine making of Porto and the Douro Valley
There is a cheap parking nearby but you can also park on the street for free
The Chinese Navigator makes it easier for me to understand the history of Taylor's. I don't have to worry about missing the guides. I will leave the tour and give two red and white wines. I will sit in the small garden and taste it. It is recommended. winery!
Nice visit, very well guided but cover you it is cold!
If you visit Porto then it is a must go, better booked an English tutorial in advance, you can try 3 glass of port and visit their cellar which is quite incredible
Great visit of cellars and tasting. Very nice home. To do
15 each for the tour and 2 glasses of port. Amazing garden view and you could also order a few other things while drinking. Cute peacocks and chickens running around in the tasting area.
Very nice tour! Good garden for the tasting and knowledgeable staff.
the five euro tours included port wine tasting and a knowledgeable guy and thorough tour of the winery premises. The grounds are beautiful and offer wonderful views across the river to Porto .
Worth a visit if you want a walk and a story about Taylor's journey from nothing to one of the great portraits.
You buy a tour with a speaker that can tell you in Danish. 15
You get well in history and it takes you 1 hour for you to stand in the garden and enjoy two glasses of their port wine.
Don't miss this incredible experience. You may never taste better Port wine.
We were really excited to try Taylor even before our arrival in Porto. When we arrived, we were directed to sit outside at a table because it was such a nice day. After sitting for thirty minutes with tables on either side of us arriving after us and already being served, we left. Never even received a menu. As we left, a waitress finally walked over to ask if we needed help. I think that most of the other people there had paid for a tour, but we were truly looking to just try the port. Recommend paying attention to all tables and not just those that come in as tours or large groups.
The audio guide was very good with Korean support, and it was great to be able to browse around autonomously.
It's a bit difficult to go, but I highly recommend it.
Very interesting visit highlighting the care for the production of Taylor's wines as well as respect for the environment. Wonderful wines that need to be enjoyed in good company.
Very interesting. But be prepared for the uphill before arriving. It is recommended that you go at your own pace with the audio guide in a rush, and the prices are very varied in the store.
The acistencia is very good.
The visit to the port wine cellars is very thorough and the visit assistant is very kind
There is a patio at the end of the visit for the wine tasting has many birds including beautiful peacocks.
And the wine is exceptional not to mention offering 3 wine tasting options.
First I must say that the property is beautiful. We did the audio tour which included two tastings. The tour was only okay. But the service in the tasting room was non existent. We waited sooo long to order light accompaniments that we just left.
We are glad to have included the visit in our itinerary and could easily spend 2-3 hours at this place. The museum is comprehensive and well organised. We left the place with more appreciation to Port wine and the Taylor s brand. Wine is tasty and staffs were very helpful. Property is well maintained (though it took a bit of time and effort to hike up to the spot). Highly recommend everyone who goes to Porto to stop by this place.
Historic, nicely landscaped place. The disadvantage is a rather impersonal approach, a tour without an employee is of little importance
Very documented visit. Audio also in Italian. Taste of Porto with decidedly scarce quantities. Overall, cmq is definitely worth it
Good mix of the history of Port wine, the Taylor family without being selling opportunity!
Best meal of our trip, great setting, great food and port, very nicely serviced, just the bestest!!!
We toured several port cellars and this was the best- great artifacts, detailed audio tour (in several languages), and an excellent garden to taste port and eat snacks.
Beautiful garden for wine tasting but service was somewhat disappointing. The servers were great but the manager was actually quite rude. Couldn't give this a 5-star unfortunately.
Excelent lunch! Marvelous view! Right outside from The Yetman Hotel. Excellent lunch! Beautiful views! Right next to the Yetman Hotel.
Very interesting visit on the manufacture of Porto. However, the visit lacks a little organization with the audioguide, in fact, it is repeated often and we are lost in the visit after a while ..
However, the wines tasted at the end of the visit are excellent, I recommend you take a cheese platter with (they are delicious too) and they can sublimate the Port.
The price of the visit is 15 euros with 2 glasses included. The amount of wine in the glasses is quite reasonable.
Great tour and tasting! Took a plate of Portuguese cheeses on the side.
Interesting history of wine with pleasant atmosphere. Room full of old barrels make huge impression. You can taste 2 types of wine after the trip and it is really nice. Wines are dry, but you can feel sweetness of grapes in your mouth. Place worth visiting.
This self-guided tour is very informative and entertaining. Includes two samples at the end.
Great self guided tour that comes with a couple glasses of port at the end. Interesting and knowledgeable.
Beautiful cellars, very characteristic environment and, at the end of the visit, many tastes of different types of Porto.
For some it seems expensive, but we had a good time to discover a port that we did not know. Beautiful place filled with history
There is a Korean audio guide for 15 euros and you can drink a glass of red and white wine after the tour. If you haven't been to the winery tour, it's worth a visit.
One of the oldest Port Wine cellars. Nice visit with a beautiful view of Porto.
Very nice distillery to go. Their Port wine is the best especially 40years vintage.
The ticket includes the visit and two glasses of wine for tasting.
Great place to visit and taste the famous Port wine
Port wine also delicious Korean audio guide support is also really good
Self directed tour so you can come and go at your own leisure. One of my favorite port tastings.
The place is interesting, but has no Guide. There are only those headphones with the recording.
Nice tour of the lodge, beautiful garden, friendly stafd. Limited tasting (2 Port's) but you can order more.
One of the best winery tours, even if the audio guide sometimes develops a life of its own (do not push buttons too fast).
After the visit or without (then without voucher) a glass of Porto in the rose garden - with peacock and rooster - in good weather a dream, the "climb" is worth it. The snacks are not quite up to the classy ambience, but that's a matter of taste.
There is still a lot of work going on around the basement to expand the Yeatman Hotel (June 2019), so the panorama is often disturbed by construction cranes.
Taylor's is one of the oldest and best-known port houses in the Porto region. Taylor's wine cellars are located on a steep hill in Vila Nova da Gaia. From the terrace of the restaurant you have a nice view of Porto on the north bank of the river Douro. Guided tours in various languages are also offered here, with guided tours of the wine cellars in around 45 minutes. Afterwards there is a tasting session in which three port wines are tested (ruby, tawny and late-bottled vintage / LBV). A visit to the Taylor's wine cellar is highly recommended.
Beautiful gardens nice tour and 2 tastings of port wine , worth a visit .
Had the set menu for lunch - all of the courses were delicious. Highly recommended.
Inexpensive guided tour including wine tasting. Top!
A winery around the river Dong Luis in Portugal. The location was a little ambiguous, so I went ober from the commercial station and got about 3.6 euros. The tour price for the winery is 15 euros and we did not make a reservation.
Korean audio guide is provided and it takes about 1 hour ~ 1.5 hours as soon as you take a picture.
Two tours of wine are available for tours. Dry white and two LBV have been provided. I bought a miniature store for 15 euros and a glass of 4 euros at a souvenir shop, but the wine seems to be cheaper to live in the city.
I ate Tony 20 years (8 euros) in addition, and said that it would be a woody flavor. I did not know the wine, so I felt a bit like a sauna, but it was a good attempt. It is definitely different from the wines offered. The staff recommended Tony 30 year old (18 euros?) But the price was burdened.
Dessert served with wine and accompanied by a meal is charged. Egg tart eaten for 1 euros, but it was very tough. It was better than nothing.
Each audio guide is numbered one by one. Especially the history of Taylor nine times. I can not finish it. I was able to acquire basic knowledge about wine and wine.
I really enjoyed the taste the wines are very nice, the food is spectacular.
Many congratulations to the whole team.
Probably the most famous of the port wine cellars to visit. The port is excellent and there is a good variety to choose from. Because it is so popular, however, the cellar is often very crowded and a little more touristy than some of the other cellars. Great port wine tasting experience.
Excellent museum and degustation. Waiters are helpful by providing exact and relative information on the wine offered.
Excellent tour here, and a very nice tasting afterwards, we loved it, also the cheese platter you can order to go with the port is good. You can easily share one serving with 2
