Having a Korean audio guide is enough for sightseeing purposes. Maybe it would have been less if you listened in English. The tour took about two hours and was quite beneficial. Two of the 2014 red and dry wines served on a cold were eaten with a sip, but the alcoholic beverages of the alcoholic beverages were so hot.

The environment is beautiful and refined. We didn't arrive in time to do the tour but we tried incredible wines from the menu accompanying a cheese board. The barrel-shaped table is nice but the seats are uncomfortable, very small. The service was extremely attentive!

Large winery (port).

Large winery (port).

You can taste different portings. We did not like staff. There was no laughing matter.

We also thought it was too big and therefore the atmosphere was lacking. Not us but a more intimate winery.

The Porto tasting place was busy, noisy and the staff pushed an up-sell at the every possible moment. We felt as if in a rush to free up a table for next customers.
Porto itself was tasty and worth trying.

Not much to add here.

Not much to add here.

The tour itself was 5 stars - amazing place to visit, and the audioguide was fascinating and high quality. A bit too much content, but hey, you can also stop/skip sections. Bring your own headphones to plug in, so you don't get arm soreness!

However, the price of the tour is steep at 12 euros per person! I would say it was worth maybe up to 10 euros.

You do get two port wine "tastings" but you can't choose - they are the cheapest ones on the menu - and they give you barely a quarter of a glass.

Really beautiful setting, with peacocks and a rooster! The price for the introduction tasting is pretty steep for how little they serve in the glasses.
In their defense, their Port is very delicious. We ordered an extra serving, but sadly they forgot us.

12 euros per visit with audio guide and tasting of 2 port wines (dry chips and LBV).
One hour tour on the history of port, manufacturing etc.
A tasting of 2 port wines in a magnificent garden.
We are delighted with this visit!
they also have a restaurant.

The tour was basic yet informative and I am glad that I finally made the effort to go. I am a lover of port wine and was to keen to know how it was made. As it s turns out they simply mix sprit with boofty red wine and then age! Who knew! The tasting room is nicely situated but expensive and they won t let you buy a half to consume on the premises, it s by the glass only my alcoholic friends!

A beautiful place, the excursion is really interesting in my opinion, with the points on the history of Portugal. Unfortunately we did not have enough time to visit quietly, because we had come an hour before closing. The smell of wine in the cellars that makes you want to taste the port. The super friendly staff who served us a sufficient quantity to taste.
In short, I strongly advise you!

My favorite wine tour in Porto. The spot is great, but also the tour is very nice and rich of information for who wants to understand how Porto's wine is produced. The final tasting on a terrace looking toward Douro river is absolutely great...

If you fancy a basic wine tour and taste porto wine on a fancy terrace, you can try Taylor's. The price/quality is very good and you can also have lunch at the restaurant next door with great city views.

We went here for the tour. It was 15 euros and about an hour of a self guided tour. Overall it was a pretty good experience and the wines at the end were great. Towards the end of it, it seemed like they were getting repetitive.

Worth a visit. Wineries to taste and delicious wine tastings. The meal is a bit expensive but delicious. However, the restaurant is open until three o'clock, so you must finish the tour before you can eat.

Loved the self-guided, very informative tour. After finishing wandering around the cellar, you can enjoy two port wines in the restaurant or on the terrace. I love the red one.
Definitely worth going

15 for a tour of a winery with an audio guide that gives you an edge girl at the entrance + two wine cellars. If you want something else, get ready to drop pasta. And be careful not to get hit by going up or down.

On the other side of the historic center of Porto you can find all the famous port houses. We went to Taylor's on the advice of a port connoisseur. From the quay it is a nice and strong walk up the mountain. You will arrive in an oasis of peace. Location is nice, the port was very nice. The explanation about the different types of port we have not been able to understand due to his faulty English from the waiter but that fitted well in the whole picture.
Tip: take a tasting and a cheese platter, very relaxed and tasty.

Unlike the port wine shops on the shore, Taylor's was very upscale. Finally a warm room for tasting. The prices are a bit higher, but the taste is very good. The property is beautiful. So the climb is worth it. The condition was also very nice and also explained the individual ports ordered. We ate some bread with olive oil, both very good.

This is a place with a very interesting history, you find here entourage items and a calm atmosphere. I'm not a portwein lover but decided to try and was not disappointed. You pay for two tickets near 30 and it includes 1 free glass of local portwein. There is a parking but no wifi, in a good weather it is a bit crowded.

Stay away from the tourist wineries, Taylor's despite being a little further from the seafront, is one of the best you can step on in Porto.

The complex is huge and everything is taken care of to the millimeter to make the visit a unique experience.

No reservation is necessary, you can go at the time you want, since with the entrance they give you a comfortable audio guide to visit the winery at your own pace, also with the entrance you will have a small wine tasting.

The duration of the visit is about 90 minutes easily, but then you can relax in its terrace bar while enjoying your Wine.

It is well worth the visit to the Taylor's Port cellar. Just walking distance from the city centre, uphill but it was a good workout after heavy meal. 15 euro for adults with the tasting of their Port wines included. It is audio-guided so you can do everything at your own pace and at any time during their opening hours. After the tour of the cellar, you will come across a peaceful little garden where you will have your tasting of both red and white Port wine. I was expecting just a small tasting but was pleasantly surprised that they actually serve you a proper portion of both their Port wine. Also, it was cute that they included a selfie machine that allows you to take a photo and send to your email as a small souvenir. Definitely worth the visit and well recommended!

Good place to visit if you are interested in the subject of Port wines. We made the visit in July, at approximately 6:00 p.m. and it was a relaxed visit because there were hardly any people, with a kind of telephone that tells you in Spanish the history of wine and wineries as you go through the different places. Finally a tasting of 2 port wines in a very pleasant place, although a bit "posh". But I think it's worth it.

One of the great historical firms of Porto. Located in Vila Nova de Gaia (Portugal), it was founded in 1962 by John Bearsley. The current name comes from the twentieth century, when the company was acquired by Joseph Taylor, John Fladgate and Morgan Yeatman. Unlike most producers, Taylor s does not market any other wine, except for Port wine.

Super nice people, great service despite the high traffic in the beautiful garden. Peacocks as an additional attraction and above all a little British attitude towards life. The way up the hill was worth it!

Taylor's is the only house I visited in Porto, but I was very disappointed by this visit, which lasted barely 20 minutes instead of the 45 advertised. The explanations were very succinct. Only the tasting can explain the 7 requested

Yes, the view is great.
Yes, the wine is great.
BUT the food was terrible.
We just order soup and fish dish. Both of them were drowning in grease. No taste but a huge bill.
My friend and i have been sick suffering huge stomach pain all night long after this.
Thank you Taylor, we wont recommend you.

Nothing special. I agree with the other comments on the audioguide visit: a guide would be appreciated for any questions. Fortunately it ends with a friendly moment at the bar, with the tasting of 2 kinds of port. It catches up a bit because price still a little high.

I liked the explanation of the winery and the experience of the smells. The latter is excellent. The tasting seemed improvable. Little explanation and little amount. Two varieties and little liquid

A great tour with an audio GUID, in the end you make a tasting of port wine. There are good port wines if you think that for the tour and wine only 15 euros, a super nice staff :) I'll be back;)

One of the best port lodges around. It has a beautiful and cosy bar where you can either take tours or simply order port by the glass to try. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant is essential dining if you can afford it. The food is superb and the service outstanding. There are stunning views of Porto whether you sit inside the restaurant or on its terrace in warmer weather. This is an unhurried dining experience, so if you are in a rush this is probably not the best choice, as lunch can take up to two hours. A must try for foodies though.

I found the place beautiful. The story is very well told. The tasting is good, but if you want to taste the best you will have to pay. It's worth a try as it will eventually take and the cost benefit of buying there is much higher.

It's definitely worth the walk up the hill to visit this lodge.
The fact that it's an audio tour means that you can turn when it suits you and you are not waiting for an appropriate language tour to start. It also means you can do the tour at your own pace.
The whole experience was really good. We learnt a lot about the production and development of Port.
The tasting is in a lovely setting and depending upon the weather you can sit out in the rose garden or go indoors.
The tasting rooms have a small menu with things like cheese selections, which go well with the port. You can also order more port than the two you are given to taste.
My only grip would be the drink measures! I can understand the tasting portions being small (especially when you only pay 15 Euros for a ticket), but I would expect a full measure when buying additional drinks. But don't let that put you off. The whole thing is well worth it.

I went there because I have a Korean guide. 16 euros per person. I went without much expectation but I was very satisfied. Starting from the beginning of the port wine, how to make it, the kind of port wine, the history of the Taylor group, everything is explained. When you enter the wine store, the fragrance of the wine that spreads is shocking enough to be shocking.

I had a Korean audio guide so my parents easily understood it and I was very satisfied. Explanation was easy because it was easy.

At the end of the tour, you will get two port wines, a chip dry and a bottle of vintage wine to mature in a bottle. It is really delicious!

This was actually the only bad story from my trip to Porto. Arrived at 18:01 and Rita (at the reception) was telling me that they close at 18:00. Ok I guess I was "late". However at the door it says they close at 19:30. She still let some More
