What I think may be given some attention is the maintenance of the online assortment.

There is often more to get than is offered online. I have been looking a few times, for a certain standard size douglashout. With a bell this appears to be just right.
It would therefore be nice if this could also be found online.
No other qualifications.

What unimaginably bad, do not have the right stuff to unload.
Lay your things damaged and in the mud.

Today with 3 difficult questions to Bakker de Houthandel: Helped by Ron "of the doors" three times, who did not bother too much to find an almost untraceable profile via the internet and to deliver within 1 working day; then created a different size of lock plate "somewhere"; and finally made slightly too thick glass laths perfectly tailored!
You will not find such a personal service anywhere else except here.

For my new home I needed 13 new interior doors; was very friendly at baker to see the forest through the trees. There is still a lot to look at when choosing a (seemingly) simple door. With a cup of coffee and an apple turnover (! :-)) in hand, we walked through all different styles. Then we made a choice for the door handle and matching hinges. All in all a good thing with a beautiful showroom where you get a good impression of the different possibilities, thank you guys! P.s .: I only need the doors at a later time and until then they can just leave them there and have them delivered on demand, great!)

Last week started a project and went to Bakker de Houthandel for the first time. Very friendly and helpful staff and fast service.

In between we visited Bakker de Houthandel a few times for some extra material. Also asked for advice for my project, I was also assisted with this and I received helpful information

Douglas wood ordered for my patio cover. Wood quality was good and delivery was quick despite the crowds. Most employees are knowledgeable and were happy to give advice despite the crowds. Chapeau!

Good thing, sometimes collecting a bit of effort with the materials, but good help, not of that.

The minus point is that it is less accessible.

Several times here stuff ordered private. With the landscaping company where I work, we also order everything at Bakker. Never had problems and always delivered neatly. And you would like to come across the top company floor.

Totally understandable that there are positive reviews. Immediately upon receipt though it was very bad. Super grumpy staff (especially the bald one with glasses). We politely ask something but get a blunt response back. Ask for extra information but you just had to figure it out.

Then you can drive by your car and they scream grumpy; come and get your wood, you can do it here. Seriously? We are not going to get a 3cm wooden plinth but quite a few panels for hundreds of euros. So we advise !!!! They know they are cheaper than most and that makes them interesting unfortunately.

This is a top store. The entire renovation of our house done with things from BakkerHouthandel. Always considerate with delivery, good communication and a very competitive price. I fear that they have a customer for life! Very happy with this store / wholesaler :)

For customers who have not been here before, it is not clear how the wood department works. There are too few staff around whom you can ask questions. The prices are also not indicated and it is therefore not possible to make a choice yourself. The staff is often very busy and therefore not always customer-friendly. A pity because the price, quality and range is excellent. I would place a sign at the entrance explaining the working method that would save a lot of time and frustration. I was not helped and eventually left and made my purchase at Garden Center De Boet in Hooggwood. A missed opportunity

Our Multigarant wooden floor and Reno stairs Renovation stairs are assembled by customer-friendly technicians according to agreement. The delivered quality is very good and work was done according to plan. Pro-active thinking has taken place and the company and employees are experts and customer-friendly.

Bakker is a household word for me as a timber trade, and neighbors also call Bakker a reliable and, above all, expert supplier of timber and construction timber. This afternoon another example of the pleasant way of doing business with Bakker. I urgently needed a pine board. Closest in Bovenkarspel no pine parts available. Not in Enkhuizen either. How could I overlook it, Bakker de houithandel. I always get there when I have a carpentry job. Pine is not for sale everywhere but Bakker could help me with exactly what I need. Cut to size and planed, without it cost me an arm and a leg. It may well be said that there is enough competition from large chains that only deal with euros.

Super service from Bakker de Houthandel. After two years the interior of the lock of our gate was broken. We were immediately given a new lock, despite the fact that the guarantee had expired. Completely free !! Top service. Very happy with it. Thanks!

I had to get wood for a foundation with people who need care. Because of corona, these people could not leave and only sit in their garden in full sun. This foundation received a demo Douglas wooden roof from Bakker de louthandel. Beautiful right. And those people are already very happy with it and the roof is not even ready yet.

Friendly and down-to-earth no-nonsense staff. Very fast delivery and good communication about delivery time. Sure there has been miscommunication about the delivery (is not about a post package with jeans), but all in all always fast delivery! Further affordable and beautiful wood, also for our last order a-quality.

Just received my order of 5 fencing parts and 8 posts. We'll call you half an hour in advance ... so not ... stay in the neighborhood all day and then they'll suddenly be right in front of you. They unload it and then everything is dropped in the parking lot and find out. No ma'am we only unload it, we really do not bring it into your garden! As a woman you are there alone ... thank you. Had been handy if this was reported in advance then I would have made sure I had help .. so I order here no longer.

Yesterday plasterboard delivered neatly on time. Good quality for a competitive price and great service if there is something missing, thanks again men!

Made an order this week which would be delivered today. I had not had a message this morning when the delivery would be, so just called if an indication could be given. I was not very kindly told that this was not possible and that I would be called half an hour before. It would probably be before 6:00 PM. Eventually at 19:00 in the evening they stood on the doorstep without a phone call. Not customer friendly at all.

Get information about a douglas roof on Saturday. Ronald knew exactly what we needed and what format. Just a call with Sten van Klasse gardens to ask if he could place the roof. Because a job had been lost this was already possible on Tuesday, so within a week we were the proud owners of a very nice roof. Everything neatly concealed. We are more than satisfied.

Order your spruce chamfers they have the wrong side. Back smooth and the machine stroke on the front / visible side.
When you call, Jeroen promises to call you back. This never happened. Finally we can arrange for a new shipment. This was only possible 2 days later. Meanwhile had contact with Jolanda (or something) she started screaming right away and it wasn't their fault ....
2nd shipment delivered. Now the right side is poached. Planks primed and ready to be assembled. These do not seem to fit (including the parts that have not yet been painted). Jeroen indicated that we should only send an email with a photo. For the rest no solution ....
Never experienced this before. What poor service and poor quality wood.

What a bad experience after only good experiences. Grumpy blunt employees, no communication, waiting in vain for your money back, waiting in vain for your order and still being cut off if you ask if your order might come today.
Apparently you can not handle the crowds and once you have paid you seem to be forgotten. Customers at the counter apparently take precedence over customers who have already paid and are waiting for their order.

Wait 10 days after order we are called on the day of delivery to tell us it is impossible to deliver, moreover the very rude person hangs us up ... !!? Is that how we treat customers, although the period is difficult for all companies? Two years ago we had a similar problem with them, we will never set foot in this company disrespectful to its customers!

Despite the huge crowds and sometimes am not directly accessible I just called back.
Deliveries always by appointment and all high quality stuff.

Very good service concrete plywood purchased, sawn and even delivered within the hour. Top!

This case has no communication:

- Called 4 times in total with the promise to be called back: none happened once.
- Emailed 2x without response
- Those who record are stiff West Friesians from the workshop who are not nice and don't understand anything.
- You will not be called or emailed with information about the delivery, they are just there all of a sudden.

I would say: just hire a smooth team for communication on the phone and by email. This is really no longer possible in 2020. Last time Bakker for me and for my friends.

Visited this week to look around, reasonable prices and a nice assortment. But finding employees if you need help figuring out something is difficult. You don't have a fixed point of contact, so you just have to find an employee who can speak to you

I have already ordered a number of times at baker's timber trade, and it has always gone well. But now the last time it is a drama. We had placed an order and she neatly called that 7 parts were short and that it would be delivered asap. In the meantime, we called 4x where the wood remained, and finally after 3 weeks we got the wrong boards delivered, called again and indicated that you need it as soon as it is halfway and everything is soaking wet .. Last Saturday went with my friend to the Baker Houthandel. We were helped immediately greeted very enthusiastic and friendly.
Ronald, really took the time for us and thought it about what we had in our heads. We wanted to make our own bookshelves and so he gave us tips on how we could best tackle this. He listened super good at what we do and did not want and successfully!
Weathers he then went to get our ultimate shelves.
Super personal contact, someone with real passion for his profession and mega good tips. Thanks guys! If we go one time to work with wood, we certainly come back to you!

Large assortment, competitive prices, top service! Delivery by Arno was great!

Quotation requested 29-03-2018, last week I agreed with the quotation there had suddenly been a price increase and they could no longer deliver at the price of 29-03. There was no validity date on the offer and nothing was stated about a price increase. Had contact with Chris, who referred me to the info @ address there my complaint would be taken seriously ??) heard nothing today. We will get our wood elsewhere. Weird state of affairs.

No stars for this company ... never been treated so badly. Customer-unfriendly, rude and very blunt!
We came here with a big wish list, 2 x stair renovation, 3 floors of new wooden floor and all the wood for the garden, such as fences and a beautiful canopy.
We were received very unfriendly, the first reaction was laminate we do not do for the stairs (we have not even asked the question) fine, indicated that we want to go so and so for oak, but madam found it very difficult to our advice give over the floor.
When I asked again which floor she could advise, the employee even raised a little dr voice and remained very blunt!
Perhaps it is useful for your employees to know that not everyone who comes in understands the products and just wants to be helped friendly! We just wanted advice and if it can also be treated normally!

This is a super company that thinks along with its customers.
I needed start clips to make my wooden floors on 2 sides against a facade, without screws coming into view.
Extensively searched on the internet for this and ended up at Bakker de Houthandel.
Partly because there were no sizes of the clips to be found or this could fit, called and talked to Ron Bakker.
He sent me the sizes by return info and extensively and I ordered from them based on this. Super neat and also very quickly helped well. I almost never come across this service again. I can't give more than 5 stars, but also a 10 speaks for itself.

The delivery was also fine as agreed.

Ordered wood and firstly asked twice if they really want to call me 30 minutes in advance, because I had to come from work (work 3 minutes away)
Unfortunately a grumpy driver on the phone that no one was home.
Unfortunately, it turned out that the wrong posts had also been delivered, others had ordered. "Yes, they were out of stock so we gave them," they said. But I have never been called in advance about this. Otherwise I would certainly have made other choices. In addition, the posts were bent and cracked, one of which was completely unusable and the hardwood screen is full of stains that do not go out.
After having had contact several times, they would finally discuss how to compensate. But it is likely that the consultation came out. "Just let that customer choke and we just ignore her, we already delivered that junk and the money in our pocket"

So please go to another timber trade (Sijs supplies fine wood, that's where we got it from now and they can use Bakker poles in the fireplace!)

Fine wood but the delivery is useless. Day 1 wouldn't show up and day 2 they would come between 1200 and 1600. Then even two days late on day two.

Next time order somewhere where they think of the customer.

The last 8 plates are greased MDF ordered, 7 pieces are delivered incl. Mdf cover plate, after a bubble they have solved it with 3 sighs. Now I thought I would give them another chance so I ordered 1 plate of wood this week. As crooked as possible. And the driver blames the on-site staff and the office blames the driver.

Super customer friendly. Ideal also ... choose everything at your leisure and it is delivered at the door when it suits you! Even when a bar is forgotten, it was sent very quickly and in a friendly manner. A lot of choice and I will certainly order more often here.

Up to 5x promised to come and just not to come. Finally, they were busy so we only got half and we would get the other half the next day. When we called again the next day, it turned out that they had not received it yet. More than 3 weeks have to wait for a few pinewood boards. What a quality disappointing company. They do not keep their promises and constantly tell excuses. Never again for us.

After years I went to live in my 'old' house in IJmuiden. and then you want to make it neat and fun. This has been very successful in various areas, including the garden, the gutters, the shower room and the roof itself. There was a lot of overdue maintenance. Precisely these were those where you want advice on what the best and most economical solution is. Those things that make your home complete. Neatly worried all the way to IJmuiden and the house can be back for a while. Even so striking that the neighbors give compliments on the view and then they have not even seen the bathroom. That beautiful barn of ours, at Bakker de houthandel, was genuinely "love at first sight", what a wonderful and extensive range we found there. Fast delivery of the complete barn, beautiful wood, no empty promises and no down payment required! Our barn has become a picture and absolutely top quality!

Great no-nonsense company. Very pleasant atmosphere. I always receive friendly help and they have a lot of choice. I also think the prices are very reasonable. I am happy to get my wood there.

Today there are twelve fence parts deliver.

But not exactly where I wanted to have them delivered. Given my age and my physical frame, it was not possible for me to solve that myself. My son would not come by on Saturday until 3 days later to place them. I did not want my son to drive 60 km back and forth.
After a phone call with a very friendly staff member who promised me that it would be okay, the driver returned to the shop after an hour on the road and still neatly placed the fences in my backyard.

Show today at Bakker de Houthandel in Hoogkarspel, my wife wanted everything in the garden different and I don't know what that will cost.
I wrote down everything about the new terrace, the posts, the screws and the fence. All submitted and asked what will it cost. It already started with the question about the screws, do you want them in stainless steel or just screws, sir. Well I hadn't thought about that and so asked if that really matters. The stainless steel screws last a lifetime and the other screws do not matter on the whole project, but still. and I also liked the wood protection and other things to hear that things could be done better and more sustainably. The choice is really yours sir, but you will understand that yourself.

I have followed the advice and am also happy with the result. Delivery was done neatly at home and cut to size as I requested.

Good news! There is still a lot of room for improvement! In particular, there are very nice opportunities for improvement with regard to customer focus. I invite Bakker timber trade to resolve complaints from a customer perspective. Unfortunately I did not succeed.

Has been a regular customer at Bakker de Houthandel for ten years. We are always provided with excellent and friendly advice!

Highly recommended. We still like to come there. Even just to look around in the nice showroom or for a simple cup of coffee.

We always notice that contractors and business customers always receive personal treatment. I think most customers feel very much at home at Bakker.

Always reachable for questions and advice a solution does not always have to cost money here is a good thing

Very bad laminate floor
A laminate floor from Bakker de Houthandel for a year now. Totally worthless. After 3 months there were butts everywhere in the floor. Twice along to report this complaint. Nothing has been done about this. Unfortunately, we are too modest to make a big stamp. Meanwhile, a year further. We have already replaced a part with material that we still had. It looks like we have a new floor with 5 years. Sadly. Especially when you consider that our previous floor came from a hardware store and was the cheapest store that existed. This looked perfect after 10 years.

Called to ask if they had anything in stock. Less than a minute to wait. Had to be ordered, but the employees think along very well and provide service. Because of course I called back that it had to be different again and that was no problem. Will be delivered now and only then have to pay. Top!

Understand little of the negative reactions. Everything is delivered free of charge at home and at competitive prices. Never had any complaints about the quality. From CV boiler to garden pole we always buy from Bakker. If something is not in stock, it is simply delivered. For me after all those years still 5 stars !!!

Timber trade with large assortment and extensive showroom. Came to get some MDF plates, but were not yet cut due to crowds. The job was immediately picked up and it was great to use the trailer on loan just after closing time to get the things back and forth! Thank you

Work with suppliers who provide quality 0, but not always hold itself to the agreements. We get 5 screens, 2 can be returned. If we get 2 screens again, one can return. Talk to you on Thursday that they will bring a new screen, there Wednesday a screen in your front yard. Probably even the faulty screen with a few extra screws. This is our second time we ordered something here and the first time went though not spotless. So this was definitely the last time.

Now for the second all our garden wood from baker, nice quality and for a competitive price delivered at home. You notice that the employees have experience, give the same amount of things that you need even more. Good business

We wanted a log cabin / gazebo that was anything beyond standard in size. It was very pleasant for us that this exception could also be realized with the accompanying professional drawings. We needed the drawings to submit a permit application. Unfortunately, we were unable to reach an agreement with the municipality, but that was certainly not due to the garden shed and the commitment of Ronald, with whom we sat around the table several times to adjust the design again. We were very sorry that they had already done a lot of work, but given the circumstances, they did not think it necessary to charge us for this.

When we went to the hardware stores for years to look for stuff for the renovation, a neighbor told us that we should take a look at the timber trade in Hoogkarspel at Bakker. In the meantime we are 11 years further and at Bakker the timber trade we have been coming for years now and because we are always well helped I write a sincere compliment to all 40 people who work there.

Thank you Bakker for the perfect placement in September of our beautiful hood in the garden. Of course we have not spoken to so many people but have bought a lot in recent years and still to full satisfaction. Of course we also had a thing where we had to wait 2 weeks extra for a part, annoying yes but neatly delivered to our home.

A week ago, wood ordered for the renovation and today delivered according to agreement exactly on time. During unloading, two sheets of concrete plywood were damaged in the suit, not visible from the outside. I called to Bakker and got a friendly man on the phone. I had to send a picture to his 06 and I got two new plates that same afternoon and could return the old one, in a word CLASS !!!

Good neighbors! :) All materials for the renovation were delivered immediately with a forklift. They arranged for us to have a fence placed within a day. Absolutely great!

Had bought a log cabin from Bakker 20 years ago, some of which had to be replaced. A difficult job. The supplier no longer existed, but Bakker arranged new shelves and a few craftsmen that they put in! Class. Great service and customer friendliness!

Came to look this morning for a garden gate. Fast and friendly help and for a very nice price! And the delivery is also fast and free. We will definitely come back here!

I think it is a mediocre business. You can better call it Bakker te Min trade. Staff behind the counter next to the sawmill are fairly friendly, but always short and a little easy. But the employees behind the phone can get quite link when it comes down to it.
Too bad this was always a nice thing.
