Excellent company, good prices, but above all the convenience that you can and may choose your own wood. Been several times now for a short time and also well assisted by staff at the desk, busy but coffee and snacks were ready so ...... even now in Corona time everything well arranged, door policy, sufficient distance excellent service for me safe shopping

Wide range with reasonable prices. Definitely recommended if you need better quality wood than what you can get at a regular hardware store. Also other sizes available for solid carpentry panels which was what I was concerned with for now

Come there very regularly and always be satisfied! Friendly staff, free delivery (if required), free trailer borrowing and plenty of stock. Now the Makita cordless was defective of which I had lost the purchase receipt, but fortunately very nicely solved by Bakker. Thank you!!

Dropped in with my husband for interior doors as long as you buy you are the best customer. Unfortunately, however, not everything was complete on delivery.
I myself have decided to go to Hoorn to pick up the door handle. Otherwise I had to wait a day for the next delivery.
I therefore give them 4 stars. You can do well as a company or try to do it better. I think that approach is the best.

Had a very bad experience with the internet orders with this company. After two date confirmations went home empty handed. Made an appointment that said it would deliver given the error was there. This agreement was also not met. Refund requested.

Had no bad experiences with it, placed an order several times.

Bad company customer is anything but king they don't know the word in the company. Two agreements were made for a delivery and the delivery did not come. Call the receptionist and he is brutal in all degrees !!

Very unfriendly employee on the phone, so I will never come here again!

I had ordered handcuffs but they had already given me a very good price. but unfortunately I myself had not paid attention.

boards went back on the wagon just as happily as they arrived.
after a pleasant conversation with the office in which I explained that I had passed on the wrong size, I was told. "No problem come tomorrow to bring the other size to you, also because you are human and we also leave the delivery costs aside and you only pay it difference from the larger shelves.

What a feast of recognition when I come to Bakker de Houthandel. Always as sweet and nice as I get there, I do not just feel that I am being helped very well. And I know that, as a child I already came with my father and I also liked to go with them. Today actually much too hot to do but get wood still has to succeed. Many say a lot of sheet material needed for a number of walls that have to be tight and smooth again. Paper along with there on all sizes and numbers the youngsters have cut it nicely for me while I was pushing a cup of coffee. Everything on the cart and out. Well it was not in the car (too wide) just take a trailer with us now, without towbar that is not easy. And because I also have something for them, I was allowed to bring a car from Bakker, then immediately back. I understand that they can not always do this for everyone, but I thought it was great class.

Unfortunately a lot of negativity in the reviews. I have had a very good experience with Bakker de Houthandel in recent years and I can certainly tell everyone that it is not as bad as I am told here, great thing with a lot of support.

You just have to report if something is wrong, they will always help you.

Top company, extremely friendly and helpful staff who know what they are talking about. Smooth deliveries (now 6 x shipments this year) and not a single problem. Definitely for North Holland residents a class supplier at an extremely competitive price.

Very well helped with the baker's wood trade. Wanted a nice custom made cupboard and had already been to some places but never exactly what I wanted. When I came to the bakery and reported this to the employee, he immediately said: we will make sure that everything will be fine. No sooner said than done. I now have a very beautiful cupboard wall completely custom made at home. Thank you very much for the good help Dick.

Bit of a shame. Today I ordered some new boards and saw them by Bakker de Houthandel. The plates had been supplied, but had been cut to the wrong size.

So of course I reported this and immediately did something about it and took action, for this the employee was chased a bit and she expressed frustration, I think that is not possible. All right, everything turned out fine in the end, a bit sloppy

I wanted to order a webshop, but still had some questions. Ron asked me to put on the mail what we want to make (wall with door) and if I wanted to put the dimensions of the wall on the mail. I had a complete quotation in no time. With all the trimmings, so also the screws and he calculated for us how much of what was needed (wood / insulation). Everything ready for the job. So I did not have to search in the webshop myself. Super customer friendly. Delivery free of charge after 1 day. Top!

A 4 month old log cabin has a hinge popped out of a door and the door has splintered there. Response employee Bakker: he has no solution. My solution (fix the door) is rejected. I was able to get a new hinge. Ha.ha. I had the new door hinge with me for 4 months.
The employee spoke to me in an unfriendly aggressive tone.
Suggestion: supply a log cabin door with 3 instead of 2 hinges.

This afternoon we visited Bakker's timber trade to get some inspiration.
After walking around the enormous site, I found out that they actually have everything available to completely renovate our newly purchased new home.
From construction wood to electricity, floors, furniture and garden wood, everything can be found here!
We had indicated that we have to work from a construction depot and this was no problem and an account was opened for us by the friendly employee.
Before we left the store, we already bought a very nice living room set of table + chairs and this can stay here until we have finished the renovation, what a service!
We'll drop by next time to shop for a beautiful herringbone floor and stair renovation, see you then!

What a bad service! First call off what you can have saw in the afternoon, as an answer I get no problem. Then I will come by at 5.35 pm and they don't want to help you anymore. Of course you can mail that the day after that is ready as an answer .. I don't think this is really service oriented!

Contact with this company for a few months now. staircase renovation and wooden floors on all floors. It started very friendly and they emphasized that they were very interested in our project and could give a competitively priced quote. But in the end they turn out to be extremely unfriendly and the final offer is disappointing.
Last Saturday, after an extensive conversation, we received a final quotation that both we and the Bakker employee were satisfied with. Two days later, Bakker informs us that the quotation no longer applies and that the new quotation is suddenly 1700 euros higher.
Withdrawing a quote is extremely brutal. We feel cheated. Not even an excuse. No principles and very unprofessional and customer satisfaction not important.
Very disappointing. This company is not recommended at all, especially if you are working on a large project. Bakker is certainly not as good as they claim. There are plenty of other timber traders who do adhere to standards and values.

If you ask if they can saw 2 plates of mdf, they have the ram busy.
You may be told tomorrow.
In any case, they never see me there again.

Lousy communication, service and aftercare. The only way to achieve something here is good legal assistance insurance. Otherwise they will pass off like waste and you will be left with the lumps. In our case, it was a door that would be placed and painted from A to Z. Frame completely damaged and nailed down. Door jammed so badly that we had to go round in warm weather. You could only open the window if you stood against it with your full weight. Extra costs 370 euros. Legal assistance has been enabled for tig mails. Then they could respond and take action. Look before you start this company

Together with the neighbors, we went to the timber trade to find fences.
After very good advice we have decided with the neighbors to take fence boards of douglas wood.
Arranged Friday to deliver in the after noon then we could enjoy the Saturday on the job.
Top arranged and beautiful boards of good quality!

In this year, the baker has supplied the timber trade with us with a log cabin. That was just a purchase, but it was already certain that we would go to the timber trade in high cart for this. The previous experiences with the timber trade, stair renovation and oak floor that we have already bought here we have experienced very positively. We enjoy it every day and after years the floor and the staircase look perfect! Occasionally we go there to look for a nice interior thing, mirror, bench or our side table.
On the top floor we bought a cheap laminate floor when we bought the house, but that was mainly due to a budgeting reason at that time. Nothing wrong with that laminate, although I would rather also have a beautiful oak floor, maybe something for the future! We will replace and install the interior doors in the spring because it must all remain affordable. We have already sorted them out and they are all beautiful! Thanks for the service and advice!

Very satisfied with the company. Karwei sent me to Bakker de Houthandel, because they could not help me with the right veneer. It was very busy there, so after waiting a while I was helped very kindly. Although they did not have exactly what I was looking for, they certainly did not send me away with a knot and thought along with me, so that I still went out with a nice piece of veneer.

This month I visited Bakker the timber trade for a floor in my new house, I am glad that I made that choice. got good advice about which floor best suited our family.
This week the floor is laid and tidy are really happy with it.

Very busy this morning. Long wait to be helped. But if you want good stuff for an affordable price, you have to be patient during the holiday period.

For 15 years now, we have been allowed to hand out our herring at houthandel Bakker on the first Saturday after the first Dutch new in the country. This is always a very nice day for us and the customers, which is taken care of down to the last detail by all the staff !!
Thanks all employees for the great service, it was a real party again !!

I had ordered some wood from Bakker before, it worked well then. Due to corona the delivery times are a bit longer (and I did not want to wait) so I went for different types of wood. After a friendly reception, someone walked with me to all the racks where the beams etc. were, and took the wood off and helped put it on my trailer. This saved me a lot of research. The employee clearly liked to help. After the receipt was made, a free cup of coffee was drunk and paid. I am impressed by the huge range, stock and customer service.

Beautiful batch of wood of excellent quality. Delivery time slightly longer than normal due to corona conditions. Too bad but understandable, it is quite busy there so a bit of understanding is appropriate. Communication about this was fine, neatly received a call.
