The lady behind the counter was super nice and helpful! We asked for a variety and she seemed to out thought and care into the six cakes she picked out for us. The cakes were moist and delicious. The icing was quite delicious as well. Surprisingly you don't find to many cupcake shops that get both correct at the same time! Macaroons were delicious with a crisp shell and a slightly full and chewy center!

Great customer service. Sent them to friends in NC. They loved them! I will definitely be ordering more.

They offer mini bite-sized cupcakes. They were OK. Not bad but definitely not going back. They are perfect as cute giveaways but wouldn't consider the place if I was craving sweets.

Our first gift to customers, a few years ago, was Baked by Melissa. We've tried other vendors over the years to keep things fresh but after some not so pleasant experiences with other companies we returned to Baked by Melissa. Our tagline is about precision so we can't have suppliers representing us and missing the mark. The entire order process is seamless for us and we couldn't be happier.

I used to love Baked By Melissa, and was looking forward to visiting during a recent trip to the city. The cupcakes were always good, and I love the unique size. However, a few years ago they were $20 for 25 cupcakes, and now the price is $30. That is a 50% price increase and absolutely not worth it for the amount of product you get. I would say the entire tray equates to "maybe" two and a half regular sized cupcakes by weight. The pricing is extremely disappointing, even for NYC.

The staff at this location were very friendly. I bought a pack only because we had walked a long way from our hotel and were celebrating a birthday. The cupcakes in this pack were just okay, some were super dry, while others were actually wet/moist, leaving residue in the container. Due to this and the pricing, we probably won't be visiting again.

A friend brang these Delisious treats to my home I have a very big family and some of the children ate them they Loved them so much they keep coming back for more when i told them I ran out they were really upset especially my 4 year old niece she keeps asking when I'm getting more. I'm handicapped an they were brang to me I just really wanted to say how much my family and I enjoyed them

A fantastic bakery with wonderful creations in pastry cupcakes and many other sugar-based delights. Words cannot explain how good these cakes are I would rate this is one of the best bakeries in New York without a doubt

The concept is so aesthetic and cute. But the taste is average. No innovative flavours. The cupcakes are so tiny in size that they should be called sample sizes. It is equivalent to a Tim Hortons timbit. It is pretty pricy too. It's a great gift after all but if you are buying for personal enjoyment, there are other options.

All of the flavors are really great, but you have to eat so many to get your fill, and the prices are too high for that. It's hard because they're so good!

I used think this was stupid. I was wrong: it's actually yummy and fun.

The cupcakes were delicious, the sizes were small so they were all gone in one seating and very quickly.

I live about 6 blocks from this amazing Italian speciality store. The owners make all the salamis and various cured meats that are all to die for. They also make fresh mozzarella, fresh and salted multiple times a day. They have a huge assortment of cheeses, fresh made italian eats (aranciata, antipasti salads, baked clams, you name it they have it!), and are a butchery as well. All in maybe a 15x10' place.

Just as good as the quality of food are the prices - cheap! Today I got 1/4 pound of orange-fennel salami, 1/4 pound of honey goat gouda, the biggest aranciata you have ever seen (grapefruit size) and a loaf of fresh italian bread, all for $12.

I also found out today they have 75 cent coffee.

But above all else, the reason I LOVE and not just really, really, really like this place if because the owners are the sweetest people ever - they remembered me only from coming in once and every time I am there I leave full because they just keep giving me samples of everything in the store! You can ask for samples of anything but be careful once you ask, they will have you taste everything in the store. How awful is that? ;)

Price is a little steep ($6 for 6 mini) but they are really helpful and the macaroons are delicious so it's worth it.

Update:

I decided to give Baked by Melissa another chance. I placed an online order for out of town delivery and it was delivery on time and in perfect condition. My daughter loves the cookies. I think the issue with the previous order is that they do not deliver on Mondays so you need to give yourself an extra day or 2 if you want it there by a certain date (ie birthday).

Think twice before placing an order for out of town delivery. I placed a cupcake order for my daughter s birthday a week in advance. I was contacted by Baked by Melissa to confirm the order details & delivery date and time at my daughter s university. I checked my account today to confirm delivery. There was no notification of delivery. I called customer service and after a lengthy wait on hold was told there was an order mixup with no explanation as to why, so no delivery just an offer for a refund. So much for a happy birthday.

Got 6 cupcakes, loved every single one, went back for another one. Amazingly tiny cupcakes exploding with flavor.

I cannot rate them based on the cupcakes, as I never received them, so I am rating them based on their customer service. I ordered cupcakes for my daughters baby shower over a month ago. When they weren't delivered on time I contacted the company. They kept me on the phone while directly contacting FedEx for me. Turns out the box got destroyed and the box was undeliverable. It was too late to order more as the shower was the next day. I was very upset of course, but the woman was very apologetic and issued a full refund immediately. I have been told by other people the cupcakes are delicious, though of course I cannot attest to that. But the company and the customer service are easy and pleasant to deal with. That I can verify.

BUYER BEWARE! Worst customer service I have ever encountered. Ordered for Mothers Day on April 28th & my mom has yet to receive as of today?! All they offered was a refund. Not even expedite another shipment?! Doesn t understand gravity of their error! Provides robo-type responses. SAD!

This was my 7th time I ve used Baked by Melissa. First six experiences were fine. This last experience has soured me. I was told the delivery would be on Wednesday. Cupcakes were baked early Tuesday morning. Did not show up Wednesday or Thursday. Today is Friday and at this time, noon, still not delivered. The quality of the product has to diminish. Very disappointed because the address of where they are to be shipped will change if they do not arrive by Saturday. I know shipping is difficult during these times but don t give a date if uncertain because of situations where shipping address may change. Had I known the delivery date was not a sure thing, I would have waited until the individual being shipped to was at a permanent residence.
