Not quiet sure what I missed there. But the name and the reviews lead me to believe this would be a good place to finish some work with a nice cup of coffee and bakery. We went in found a spot, ordered coffee and then asked about the wifi details only to be responded to very rudely that they don't have wifi.... ??
Quick service and tasty cupcakes! I tried one with a lemon cake base, lemon icing with a raspberry filling. It was great! The cake was solid, but not heavy, the raspberry was a good touch, and the icing was as rich as a good key lime pie. It. Was $4.75, which might be a bit steep for a cupcake, but you gotta at least try them once, even if you don't come back.
Haven't tried their coffee so I don't know about that.
The building itself is very nice, with good views of offerings, and ample, very comfortable seating in the back. There's this awesome wall that has napkins from there with drawings all over them and they're all stuck up with stickers from the shop! There's a chalk board too where they put up questions anyone can answer. It's a cool place!
Huge cupcakes, a variety of other desserts and breakfast items, and best of all: coffee. Different lines for coffee and desserts means that if you need an espresso pick-me-up, you can skip the often 20min long sugar line. All their drinks - latte, cold brew, iced tea - are fantastic, and their prices are sometimes less than the much worse large coffee chains nearby.
Omg so light and fluffy and absolutely delicious! I normally don t like icing but this icing was out if thus world good. I got the pistachio and loved it!

Great premium sweets. Coffee was good. Other customers can be annoying because it's Georgetown and busy. Entitled ppl + crowds can lead to some weird social interactions. 4 stars because of an anoying rich lady who was rude to me. Nothing against the place but it does take away from the experience.

Visited after glowing reviews both online and from locals alike. We purchased to take out and I tried the OMG bar, I'd recommend but there were better value options for a similar price. Never the less, avoid the line at DC cupcakes and sample those on offer at baked and wired- they're even better!
We go out of our way to get to baked & wired whenever we're in DC. Count on waiting in line, but the treats are so worth it. Coffee is excellent as well. Favorite cupcakes are the dirty chai, Elvis, flapjack or pistachio.
Ridiculous good. Huge selection of baked goods including vegan options . Everything I had was in top tier of taste and quality. As a traveling baker, I feel pretty confident in saying this is one of the best dessert bakeries in the country. Moist and fluffy cake, smooth and rich chocolate, zesty yet subtle citrus fruits, consistent and creamy frosting... We had the little Bertha Sandwich cookie which I wouldn't normally pick, but glad I did. Razmanian Devil which was filled with raspberry with a perfect blend of lemon outside, and my favorite the Vanilla Satin which was pretty much a slice of cake in a cup, but better than any cake you've ever had. Also, coffee was great. There's plenty of room inside and kind of cozy, but it was fairly loud and busy. When in DC, I will return every.single.time.

I'm not a cupcake fan but thought I'll give this place a try given its high yelp reviews. It taste just like any other cupcakes. Very sweet but it has many unique flavors. Still too sweet fore though.
We stopped because they were different. At this spot, it was my first time and it met my standards. This shop is really cool.
The iced chocolate was not sweet and the cup cake was just icing on top, and the cake was moist and delicious.
Have some brownies here. Coconut shreds are really delicious and very sweet. I recommend ~ I want to eat cookies and other cupcakes later.

Our Lyft driver recommended this place because we were talking about going to Georgetown cupcakes. We decided to go for several reasons. 1. The line was to long 2. Baked and Wired had better reviews. 3. We like to support family owned shops. I bought 1 cupcake (the mint oreo) and 1 s'mores bar. I tasted the icing on my mint oreo and went back to get 2 smurfette cupcakes. ALL was delicious especially that s'mores bar. The dirty chai is wonderful too! It was so good we went back 2 more times that night. The line wasn't long, plus we didn't mind waiting. We'll definitely be coming back! We enjoyed it.
We waited in a long line for about 20 minutes. Line moves pretty fast. While we waited we had lattes. Lattes were ok. We ordered 9 cupcakes and some squares. Cupcakes are not the same as Sprinkles. The coffee is OK, but the service is a disaster. Orders are mixed up or lost, ready orders are announced vaguely and quietly. At one point there were three partial orders ready with a line of people looking at them, wondering if their order was in there.
There is no better day than biscuit day - when I can trek down to baked and wired on saturdays and get my bacon and cheese biscuit. Their cinnamon rolls are amazing, so is their zucchini bread
I went there for the gluten free options. I appreciate that they had them because I was in the mood for something sugary. Boy was it SUGARY! Chocolate chip cupcake was dry, as was the peanut butter cookie, but I did enjoy the strawberry bar. Very good, polite service. If I were in the area I would probably return because sometimes a sugar fix is a sugar fix!
Cupcakes and other desserts are delicious! A wide variety of flavors are there to choose from, and it's honestly hard to go wrong. My one qualm is that it's quite pricey.

We tried the carrot pie cupcake and the strawberry crunch bar. Absolutely delicious! My husband also ordered an espresso and it tasted a little burnt though (being Italian we re pretty demanding about espresso...) The space is cute but tiny and it could get crowded easily.

Forget Georgetown Cupcakes. B&W is better and doesn't have nearly as long a line. Also a great spot for great coffee (with a separate line so you can zip in and out if a cupcake isn't on the mind).
Loved the pastries from here, Baked & Wired is a must to stop by for my early morning coffee before heading over to work. The staff are amazing and very welcoming too.
Well-known gem. Good coffee on one side of the space (with barristas exhibiting the proper amount of cool/aloofness), and high quality cupcakes on the other side. Sit out front on a nice day and enjoy the above-average busking by the friendly guy with a guitar.

Not only do i like their individual baked goods but I recently ordered a Lemon cake with Lemon Buttercream and Raspberry filling and it was outstanding. Everyone took seconds and it fed so many people.

The cupcakes were not moist and they had a basic out of the box taste. We tried many items, cookies, biscotti, brownies and more and all were on the dry side.
Cappuccinos were pretty good.
Customer service was barely there and there's not much seating. The order area is nice and clean but the sitting area felt a little grimey. And to top it off, I spent $40 on 6 desserts and they still charged me 37 cents on a to go box, really?

Baked & Wired is Georgetown s hidden gem. I love to come here for a breakfast treat. The donut muffins are so delicious, and I especially love the seasonal pumpkin donut muffins. The goat cheese and caramelized onion biscuits are also amazing. They also have great lattes and specialty drinks. Of course, you also have to try a cupcake when you visit!

Unique and wacky cupcakes. Worth the hype? Well I only waited about 5 minutes in line before I got the cupcakes. The cupcakes themselves are delicious but eating more than half of one is for die-hard sweet tooths. Make sure you bring milk or some drink to cut through all that sugar.

Georgetown Cupcake is long and mainly tourists, but I heard that this is a local restaurant! Carrot cake and bakedwich I did not wear a lot and it was delicious. Have dinner, pack a cupcake, watch the glow at the waterfront park, and eat it!
