Georgetown Cupcake, which is more famous, was visited by us on another trip. So this time, we walked over to this spot, where the lines are shorter and the cupcakes are delicious. Their shape is unusual: they re taller, so more cake for your buck. But you ll likely wish you had more frosting. We tried Raspberry Cloud and Pretty Bitcoin .

Great coffee and pastry place. Very small and expect long lines especially during breakfast-brunch hours so plan ahead! It is perfect for grab and go! really nifty place, well decorated for instagram lovers!

So, typically I never go out of my way to buy a cupcake. But my friend took me here and I have to say, I had the most amazing carrotcake I ve ever had in my life! Its unfortunate that I was only in town for one day, otherwise I would come back and try all the others! Line is long but the cupcake was great. Hip and cute trendy little place.

They are delicious the cupcakes are not so cloying but they are not amazing! There is a line outside almost always to enter, the good thing is that once inside they treat you and dispatch quite quickly, do not forget your mask to be able to go shopping, social distancing is respected.

This was our first visit to the shop and boy...were we impressed. The staff was on point-they knew the history of the shop, products, and favorites from past patrons. The seating area is welcoming...somewhat of a home feel. The expression was is a neat feature where you can scribe something on a napkin and stick it to the wall with a Baked and Wired sticker. Of note, there is an awesome picture of the 18th Commandant of the Marine Corps from back in the day!

The bakery had a line out the door and there's no wonder why! I bought three cupcakes and they were the best cupcakes I've ever eaten! They texture was amazing, they weren't dry even after a few days, the icing was delicious and not overly sweet. I can't wait to go back to DC just for these cupcakes

Best cupcakes in the city! Interesting array of coffee options that were fun to explore. Friendly staff made up mostly of younger people that seem eager to provide a positive customer service experience. Quite unfortunate that they have extremely spotty WiFi incapable of accommodating the patrons when they're full but honestly I go there for the goods and don't mind ignoring screens while I do so.

This is my favorite spot for sweets and has been for years. Also the owners of Baked Joint downtown and I would be hard pressed to pick the better of two marvelous establishments.

Yes, the coffee was good, but I can't bear the environment. First off, there's a huuuuge line for the baked goods. Sure, there's a separate line for coffee which is quite a bit shorter, but there's still a line. But then if you want to get a great cup of coffee while enjoying some sweets with that? Forget about it, unless you line up for your pastry first then line up again for coffee. Once you do that, good luck in finding a seat without people bumping into you in/out of line or to the bathroom.
Yes, great coffee is good and all, but what's the point if you can't enjoy it? I'd say, well, great coffee to go to enjoy while walking is good right? But if you need to grab coffee to go do you really have time to wait in line?

I have tried Baked and Wired about 2 years ago my co-worker had brought some cake cups and I tried the red velvet with cream cheese, it was moist and it taste good. So I went back recently and purchase about 10 cup-cakes with different variety and as expected I choose more of the red velvet since that what I fell in love with the first time I tried. However when I got the cakes the first thing I notice was how hard the icing was and the cake was not even moist it was a completely waste of money since most of it went to the trash. Not going to recommend it to anyone or think of going there at all I think the owner needs to spend a little more time on his cakes.

Such high quality baked goods. Definitely worth the price. I highly recommend the cupcakes (especially the Elvis) and the espresso brownie. I'm not if it's a great study spot but it would actually be a cute first date spot. Definitely go early morning on the weekends there's barely anyone there and choices are plentiful

As a cupcake connoisseur, this is my #1 ALL TIME FAVORITE place! There is always at least a 30min wait, if that tell you anything. Uniporn & Rainho is my go-to and Cherry Blossom is my second favorite.

The cake is soooo good, not too sweet. The icing is rich but not overly sugary! You might wait in a line but it moves very quickly. They also have their own coffee shop which is separate from the baked goods line. Good music, great atmosphere!

Bought cupcakes for my team from here and everyone loved them - even people who said they don't typically like cupcakes! And they are open early so it's really convenient to stop by before work, unlike most other cupcake places.

This is probably a better place for cupcakes than Georgetown Cupcake, and definitely not as busy. It's a small but nice atmosphere, and it's combined with a coffee shop on the other side so you could probably get some work done here even though it's a bit loud. The cupcakes I got were great and pretty big, I enjoyed the Red Velvet cupcake especially. The service was very quick and efficient, even though the place was pretty busy.

This is THE place to go for desserts. They are unique and amazing. If you find yourself contemplating life, go here and get a dessert. It won't help you answer your question but it will taste great.

I like here more than Georgetown Cupcake. Here, cupcakes are bigger and less sweet. But I think their explanations about the cupcakes are not enough to guess tastes. For some cupcakes, they just put the names without explanations. It s hard for foreigners to guess tastes with only their names.

This place gets busy and for good reason. So many cakes, cookies, coffee and other things. The cupcakes i had, the vanilla-vanilla and the pistachio were delicious. Kinda pricy but its dc so yeah.

They have great baked goods at a good price and they are large portions! I would recommend the Razmanian Devil , Carrot Cake, the lemon bars and Pistachio cupcake. They are the best! They have a lot of variety and unqiue flavors and they use high quality ingredients!
