Nice spot with friendly barristas. Gorgeous selection of pastries. No WiFi, which I appreciated, but rules it out as a coworking space. The roast of the beans were overall a bit darker than I prefer, but the beverage preparation was skillful.

I must admit when I first tasted the cupcake I didn't like it because it was somewhat cold but after I warmed it up a bit; I couldn't stop eating it. I had the coconut cupcake and the pistachio cupcake. My only critique is that the coconut cupcake needs coconut flavor in the cupcake and not just coconut flakes on top.

Larger than Georgetown Cupcake (and priced accordingly), a go-to when in the mood for cupcakes. Oreo cupcake is vegan and highly recommended by both vegan friends and nonvegans. Doom cupcake is a must for chocolate lovers.

Fun and modern place. It gets extremely packed and there's not a lot of areas to sit. The menu items are very clever and unique, however after all the ones we tried, the plain vanilla was the best one!

incredibly fudgy brownies, and fun named cupcakes makes this a great little place to pick up dessert on your way home. A dimly lit lounge near the back of the tiny shop gives serious 70 s hippie vibes that will make you feel effortlessly cool while playing a card game with friends, or just sipping a cup of coffee. They have public bathrooms, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

As a fan of cupcake wars, I ve been searching for a place like this for a while unique cupcakes paired perfectly with delicate delicious frostings as the do on cupcake wars. I ve been dissapointed by other popular shops but not by this one.. this one takes the cake. (Pun intended). In addition the cupcakes are huge and definitely worth the price of 4.40. Another plus? They sell other baked goods and coffee.

Solid cupcakes that are massive. Cool hipster vibe reflected in the interior decorations and menu design. I also got an iced dirty chai which was delicious. Definitely a favorite! Note also that they don t have WiFi.

Easily the best cupcakes in Georgetown, possibly in all of DC. Between 'A Baked Joint" and baked and wired, the owners are reliably putting out exceptional food in comfortable environments across DC.

What can I say? The right ratio of icing to cupcake, interesting flavors, an INCREDIBLY adorable shop space... my favorite!!

I love the cupcakes for how moist they are and find them much more satisfying than the nearby Georgetown Cupcakes.

Not sure what else to say, I definitely recommend this to almost everyone. Stop by, take a photo of the iconic pink bicycle outside, grab a coffee and grab a chai cupcake. You won t regret it!

I was very disappointed. I got the spinach quiche, german chocolate and red velvet cupcakes. They were both stale. The icing was super sweet the actual cake portion was tasteless and dry almost like bread. The quiche could have used a lil seasoning but still tasty. Wouldn't recommend or return if ever in D.C. again.

Honestly wasn't that impressed with the cupcakes. Although this wasn't a place where they just pile on their frosting to hide bad cake portions, these cupcakes did have a bit too much frosting more my liking. However, the cake portion of them was not dried out at all, and had decent flavor. The line moves quickly and the service is no better or worse than can be expected. Plus, it's kinda expensive

AWESOME cupcakes! Extremely moist; icing had just the right amount of sugar.... And like others have said, NOT worth the wait at Georgetown Cupcakes; come here instead! It was a little crowded on a Sunday morning, but still easy (and quick!) to get a cupcake and some tea. Seating is cozy, and we loved that you could write messages on napkins and stick them to the wall! We will definitely be back here next time we visit!

My favorite coffee shop in DC. Used to be a secret but there's no hiding it now. Counter culture and intelegencia beans at the coffee counter. Long lines for creative and cakey cupcakes. Other baked goods are also great. They sell hippie Crack granola and a brilliant hybrid beverage called Chaider.

Baked & Wired is the perfect quiet alternative to some of the "other" cupcake options in the area. Time and time again I'm reminded that the inventive varieties (looking at you, "The Elvis") are reason enough to take a detour from your shopping/exploring of the Georgetown or Foggy Bottom area. It continues to be my favorite "secret" to share with out-of-towners who are craving some other local cupcake spot.

Easily the best cupcakes in DC. I am not a huge cupcake person, but it is hard for me to go to georgetown without stopping by Baked & Wired. It shocks me that georgetown cupcake has such a line and this place doesnt.

Awesome cupcakes and really big! Good value for what you get since these cupcakes are so much bigger than any other cupcake place. Be prepared to wait in line but the line moves along pretty fast. Worth the wait!

This is so much better than Georgetown cupcake. The line for the cupcakes outside is crazy but totally worth it and moves really fast. Love the pistachio, strawberry, carrot cake and unicorn!

The best "Georgetown cupcake." Though the lines have lengthened with it's rising popularity, staff is kind, efficient and still offers the best flavors with large items and the perfect frosting to cake ratio. Check out the excellent coffee bar to the right when you enter (FYI you don't need to stand in the long line for coffee, but can go right in!).

I love the Chai drinks, either hot or cold and also the dirty chai with a shot of espresso. The poptarts they make are divine, no comparison to the name brand kind. The rasmanian devil, raspberry filling, lemon cupcake was amazing. All their desserts are amazing. Great spot to relax, read, chat, and enjoy the treats.

We just happened upon the Baked and Wired Cafe Bakery Coffee Shop looking for an interesting place for an early breakfast while wandering around DCs Georgetown area. We explored the canal walk while we waited for them to open at seven am. Well worth the wait! The quiche was "awesomely delicious" according to my 19 year old son and I must agree! Really nice people and atmosphere and an assortment of cupcake/muffins like I have never seen before!

A local bakery and coffee shop that has so many great options! The variety of delicious cup cakes should make you want to visit, but you should also take part in the other goodies or take some home for later! I had the ham and cheese quiche that was made perfectly with a flaky crust and firm egg consistency. I worked my way through a couple of cupcakes and brought home some granola for later. What makes the cupcakes are the delicious toppings, so my favorite was the Tasmanian Devil (lemon and raspberry)!
