I'm still craving the oatmeal cookie sandwich today! Coffee was phenomenal, croissants and biscuits were also great. The cupcakes were by far what I was most excited about but they were a gigantic disappointment. We tried 6 different cupcakes, the cake was dense and dry and in some cases too sweet. The frosting was great which is why I loved the oatmeal sandwiches but we threw away the cupcakes after trying them. Pretty disappointed :( but to be fair, I'd come back everyday just for the coffee

Really liked their cupcake, one with chocolate and hazelnut, and it goes great with coffee. This is a place that one should definitely visit if in George Town. The only downside is that it gets a bit crowded, but then every great place does.

These are the cupcakes you're looking for, and the espresso to wash them down. Featuring an indie-artsy college vibe, there's a dessert here for everyone's brand of sweet-tooth, from Chocolate Doom to Red Velvet to the more inventive Unporked Elvis. Unlike some other cupcakes in the neighborhood, these ones are big, dense, and buttery, with heaps unique icings on top. There's plenty of brownies and cookies for those with less cake-y desires. The zucchini, banana and pumpkin breads are probably their best kept secrets though. The coffees and teas are good, making B&W a solid option for cappuccinos in Georgetown. The front of the cafe is split by a dividing wall between coffee and cupcakes, which helps keep the line typically out the door moving, though can sometimes be confusing to first time visitors. Seating is limited, and it's usually very crowded at peak hours.

Wow, I don t know what happened to this place. The spinach feta croissant was just terrible and the coffee was ok. I remember when it used to be awesome. (P.S. I always rarely give bad reviews; sorry today was just a disappointment)

However, the staff was really nice! And service was great!!

The coffee was phenomenonal and reasonably priced! It was worth the walk. They also had great music playing. On the other hand, I was not impressed with the cupcakes. Perhaps it was the one I chose, the Mookah. It was extremely dry and crumbled apart when trying to eat it. The frosting was so so, nothing better than Betty Crocker frosting. I thought they would be so much better based on all the outstanding reviews. Definitely not worth almost $5 a cupcake. The names are genius though!

Grabbed two cupcakes to-go. It took everything in me not to buy a dozen because they looked so good. They were both amazing. Sweet but not too sweet. Perfect frosting to cupcake ratio. Service was just right.

The strawberry cupcake's super popular but I'm a big fan of the unicorn. Lines can be long, but they're longer at Georgetown Cupcakes so this is the one to go to. Coffee's by Stumptown, I think. Amazing.

Hands down the best cupcakes in DC! Coffee is great, though the baristas have a little bit of an attitude and there is no Wi-Fi. Still can't beat the fact that the cupcakes here are the best in the city.

I try not to make a habit of throwing shade at cupcake bakeries, but there are some other bakeries around Georgetown that are more popular than they should be considering everything pales in comparison to Baked & Wired. First and foremost, their cupcakes are HUGE so you are certainly getting your money s worth. They have a great variety of unique flavors to boot. They conveniently kept the coffee bar and cupcake bar separate so patrons coming for just coffee don t have to be impeded by those there exclusively for the cupcakes. I never go to DC without making a stop here!

Awesome concept. Eventhough there was a line out the door for cupcakes, I enjoyed that you can get a coffee at a different counter. My family enjoyed the Vegan chocolate cupcake, smurfette, uniporn and rainho, and chocolate satin. Better than Georgetown Cupcakes!

An alternative cupcake spot other than Georgetown Cupcakes. Their cupcakes are just as good and there may be a bit a wait at peak hours. They have a ton of different flavors you can pick form along with some vegan options.

Basically, a hipster cupcake and coffee shop that my wife and I were told was better than Georgetown Cupcake (the wait-in-line place). The cupcakes we bought (not cheap) were pretty dry for what we expected them to be. Maybe next time we visit, we will try Georgetown Cupcakes instead.

So I would like to begin with the following statement to all of the "so-called" cupcake aficionados within the DMV......PLEASE PRETEND THAT GEORGETOWN CUPCAKE DOES NOT EXIST AND JUST COME HERE. The cupcakes are better, bigger, better prepared, and with a wider variety of options. I am not a Vegan....I love their Vegan cupcake (image for you....Cookies and Cream frosting....think about that for a minute). Their red velvet is reminiscent of the efforts of someones grandmother. Karen and Teresa has some of the best birthdays known to man(this was a hint). And that is only the beginning.........They have CAR BOMBS there (OMG). Oh did I mention they have other superior baked goods and cookies and cakes, and even the stuff they have left over is better than others gourmet. Like I said just go here, and all will be well with the world.

These are the cupcakes I binge on every year on my birthday even though i shouldn't eat gluten. The strawberry is a must even if you're indifferent about strawberry. They're better than homemade--at least at my house. But you'll be praising Jesus you found this place.

If you want nothing but the best cupcakes in town, go here!

Located in a side street of Georgetown, it's easy to miss if you're ill-informed. There are a couple of other cupcake options on M street, one of which sees lines out the door all day, but you would seriously be missing out if you didn't try Baked and Wired while you're in the area.

I've lost track of how many cupcakes I've had over the years, but some of the standout flavors I've had were the German chocolate cake with coconut flakes, the chocolate-mocha cupcake, a maple-bacon-brown sugar cupcake, and the classic "Chocolate Doom" cupcake. I've also tried one of their sandwich cookies too (another mocha-chocolate option), and was more than impressed.

What makes these desserts so amazing is that they're all rich with flavor, moist and soft, and big! Nothing I've had was too sweet, and it's clear that each item was made with an intense attention to detail in order to balance flavor, texture, and sweetness between the cake and the frosting.

They also have a huge selection of cupcake flavors to choose from that line the counter to order (easily more than 15 options at any given time), and a number of other desserts I have yet to try. There are a bunch of staple items on the menu, and constantly new treats to try. Chances are if you haven't been here in a couple months, you'll see a lot of new stuff.

There is also an attached coffee bar here, but fairly limited seating throughout. If the weather is permitting though, there is a lot of public seating in Georgetown. Just grab your treats, walk to the waterfront, and enjoy!

Famous cupcake shop. We were told this shop was better than well-known Georgetown Cupcake. Cupcakes were great indeed but I'm not sure if it is worth waiting in line for more than 10 minutes.

There cupcakes are more like muffins. It was more cake than icing. I would prefer a good ratio between cake and icing like 70/30 not 90/10, but that's my personal preference. It was still very good thou!

Pure deliciousness is how im going to describe these cupcakes. With us being in a pandemic the line was long but well worth it. We ordered online for quicker service and the staff is super helpful and attentive. Baked and Wired has great variety, creativity in their offerings, with good pricing.

We truly had the best cupcakes/brownie that we have every eaten in our entire lives. This place is the REAL DEAL! The long line outside says it all. It was 110% worth the wait. The coffee was also great and all of the workers really kind and attentive. MUST visit if you re anywhere close to DC.

as much as I hate writing reviews for overrated places this establishment is actually pretty good and I'm more apt to visiting since the fanatical crowds have died down in the last several years great Cupcakes & Coffee Bar is better than average

Great cupcakes! When I went I just beat the line. But I got a chocolate cupcake with chocolate ganache icing and it was delicious. Definitely a good place to visit if you are in Georgetown and its close to the water!

The coffee bar and food is excellent. However, the staff working the front counter are always rude. They also have abnormally long fingernails that look nasty. You should not be able to work with hangs like that and handling food. I won't knock any stars because I love this place, but that front counter staff leaves a lot to be desired. The employees at Baked Joint are a lot nicer and more helpful.

Good coffee but this place is always packed with people, at least on the weekends (I've never been on a weekday). Getting coffee or a baked good feels like waiting for rides at an amusement park.

Some of the best baked goods in DC! The cupcakes are simply divine. Somewhat on the expensive side ($4.20 for a single cupcake), but after you take your first bite, you realize it's totally worth it. Located directly in the heart of G-town, and in walking distance to everything! Be prepared to wait online, as in most cases you will wait outside. The spot is small, and the line is always out the door and down the street. Would definitely recommend!

Wow. Very good. The Doom. Chocolate with chocolate frosting. It was tasty. But the real star is the Elvis cupcake with peanut butter frosting and banana cake. With bacon sprinkled on it. Very delicious. Probably the best cupcake in the world. But maybe not. But probably a get it. The peanut butter frosting is not too overwhelming as peanut butter frosting can be.
