I love this place so very much. It is my number one recommendation for dessert in D.C.

I have tried so many things and my favorites would have to be their cream cheese brownies, massive, creamy and decadent and their hippie crack granola.

They also have great cupcakes and smores bars.

They are pretty centrally located in Georgetown. The line can get long sometimes but it's still worth it.

They also have a coffee store, kinda built in, with lots of good coffee including Stumptown

I ve had issues with the staff being rude and short on multiple occasions and if their cupcakes weren t so delicious I probably wouldn t be back. (also, contrary to what their website says, they don t have ice cream sammie s anymore, made the mistake of asking about them and was told they haven t had them this year at all like I should have known...)

Love this place. You get the small-town coffee shop feel in the middle of Georgetown, complete with monster cupcakes and delicious coffee tea. Not to be missed if you're looking for a respite after hiking it around Georgetown.

We have heard this is the place to go, but we always went to Georgetown cupcakes. This place is great because they have coffee, and the coffee is very good! I think, as far as comparisons go, the frosting here is better than Georgetown cupcakes, but I think the cake should sit out for a little bit before you eat it. The cake part is better at room temperature. Very, very good cupcakes though! Definitely recommend.

Best cupcakes in DC. Large, numerous flavors, and no more expensive than anywhere else. They also serve delicious cookies, brownies, pies, and bars. I've never tried the coffee counter but there's always a line which implies it's good. The crowd often snakes out the door but don't worry because a line halfway down the block really takes a ten minutes to get inside. There is a surprisingly plentiful amount of seating for a dessert shop, however it's always crowded so you are likely to have to go elsewhere to sit down.

The cupcakes are amazing! They are large, fresh, and made from scratch. They offer a large variety of flavors. It is not a large building and can be crowded but cupcakes can be packaged to go.

Best little cupcake shop on D.C. hands down. They have the most inventive flavors, their cupcakes are huge, the frosting is real buttercream, and they also offer vegan for those who want those.

So we tried 2 cupcakes, a brownie and berry pie. I loved cupcakes and the pie. The brownie tasted so good until i found paper on my bite. My boyfriend also found another piece of paper in his bite. So we had to throw it away. It wasn't really what i was expecting after a long line and with expectations from the place with 4.7 star in google. A little bit disappointing.

Unsure if my experience was a one-off or what, as I have been here previously & very much enjoyed the cupcakes. This most recent visit was just not a good experience as the wait was around 50 minutes and the cupcakes I purchased were dense with hard frosting like they had been sitting a long period of time. An unfortunate time for someone only in the area for a short time.

My favorite cupcake place! The cupcakes are huge and so delicious. The cake is moist and they have plenty of options to choose from. My favorite is the Tessita, which is a nutella cupcake. They also serve coffee and other baked goods. Everything is amazing. It's a pretty popular place so there are usually lines. Limited seating.

Amazing bakery (you can tell from the line out the door). Delicious baked goods and really great coffee. The staff is friendly and courteous despite being swamped. Definitely worth the short wait if you're in the area. I've never before had a cupcake like that.

Amazing cupcakes! Get the seasonal blueberry lemon one if it s available. :)

Baked & Wired is a coffee shop and bakery, best known for their cupcakes.

The espresso drinks are made with great care, and they taste great. And, of course, the large cupcakes are excellent!

The only downside is no Wi-Fi combined with this place being a cellular dead zone, so don t expect to Snapchat while you re here.

Hands down the best place to get coffee and a pastry in Georgetown. If you're a first-time visitor, pastries are on the left, coffee on the right - it's really awkward and sometimes you annoyingly have to wait in two lines. Some food items are available in the coffee line... just to make it more confusing. Thankfully, the food and coffee are so good you'll want to keep coming back until you figure out the two-line system.

Not immpresive at all, big cupcake, too much for one person ok for two. However the coffee/hot chocolate bar is good, lot of options... great staff & genuine smiles. The cupcake side, employee need passion for their job and patient with newly customers.
Overall.... mah

there is no point in ordering online, it takes 30min once you ve arrived to get your online order, even if you order in advance.

i ordered online at 10:45 got to the store when it said it was ready at 11 and it was in my hands at 11:30. i ordered two easy drinks with no additions/substitutions.

it s best just to show up and get it. it s good food and drinks but not very efficient if you re looking to pick it up in a jiff. i love the sister store (a baked joint) and would highly recommend them. i understand it s a weird time and being a barista myself, i understand the rapid nature of online ordering, but i just ask that they re clearer about when you ll get it.

Having dealt with crowds and rain all week on my vacation, I decided to do my own cupcake wars for a day of entertainment. I picked Georgetown Cupcakes, Sprinkles, and Wired and Baked. I tasted each and give reviews accordingly.

First off, Bake and Wired is the largest venue and has a cool vibe that invites you to come in and relax.
Secondly, Baked and Wired has a lot of flavors! They all sounded so great and looked great.
Third, Baked and Wired has the biggest cupcakes which is something that should be noted.

When it comes to taste my favorite "cupcake" came from Sprinkles.
My favorite cupcake consistency came from Georgetown.
Here is my review of the Baked and Wired cupcake. They are big. They are hard to eat without a fork because of the size. And I felt there was more cake than frosting for it. The cake is more dense than the other two cupcake shops.
To be scientific I should have gotten similar flavors but I didn't.
So:
Sprinkles: best taste
Georgetown: best cupcake consistency
Wired: biggest

This is the superior cupcake shop is Georgetown. Do not waste your time waiting in line at Georgetown Cupcakes. These cupcakes are so much better and taste higher in quality. Also they have great Chai Lattes (the best in the city) and fanatic tea!

Baked & Wired is my favorite "hidden gem" in bustling Georgetown. It's the perfect place to grab a latte, a treat (don't miss the donut muffins!) and settle in to answer some emails or read a chapter in a book.

FYI: It can get extremely crowded during the weekend/holidays, so be prepared to wait for a spot to sit.

I love coming to this place! Compared to the competitors, I like this one much more. On weekends there may be a small line outside but it is well worth it. During the week you can pretty much just walk in and out. They also have vegan options. There is limited seating inside. They do have water available if you'd like some at the very bottom and back of the place. You can also get a coffee at the coffee shop inside.

Sensational cupcakes, great staff, nice location by the canal. I've tried most of the Cupcake options in DC (often multiple times - just to be sure, of course), and Baked and Wired is easily the best. The cupcakes are big, fresh, perfectly moist, and aren't too sugary. If only you were in Canada <3
