Three letters; O! M! G!!!!!!
Oustanding!!
Personally my favorite out of the 3 (Sprinkles, Georgetown, & Baked and Wired) and usually has shorter lines. Great cupcakes flavors and giant sizes. I loved the birthday cake one and the seasonal pumpkin cupcake. They also have various treats, a cafe for coffee and other drinks (that's a separate line from the cupcakes) and a great ambience.
Love the variety of flavors! The line can be long at times so do consider that when making a trip.
Best cupcake in town. Love the soft cake with unique flavors. Excellent buttercream frosting. Will always be my go-to.
Great pastries and coffee. Good service. THIS is the Georgetown Cupcake killer!
Nothing special about the cupcakes, but the others cookies are good. But it's not worth to wait
I have been going there for a long time. The flavors are amazing and the sizes are good sized. I think they're the best cupcakes in Georgetown. One time I found a staple in my cupcake which was really gross. However I've gone back and I haven't found any more foreign objects in my cupcakes. I'm not sure how that happened and they should probably be more careful because someone could have swallowed that. If someone swallows a staple that could lead to serious health problems. The space is very small so it gets very crowded. If you go late in the day many of the cupcakes are gone and you have to wait in a long line that spans outside the building. If you have to go to the bathroom, it is also a long wait because there is only one. There is usually a long line to go to the bathroom. They do have a sink outside of the bathroom that you can use if you just want to wash your hands. I recommend this place but I would be very careful when eating the cupcakes.
Hot coffee mocha is the best. Too crowded but comfy place.
Great coffee bar and desserts. Great location and proximity to M at and the waterfront. Best alternative to the ridiculous lines of Georgetown Cupcake (and the cupcakes are often better!! not to mention wayyyy bigger).
Our new found love for cup cakes & coffee !!
Blue berry is the best voted by the gang !! Chocolate hazelnut is outstanding as well. Then the Raspberry & Lemon. Coffee is also quite good, Cortado is spot on and good selection of iced tea flavors !!
Cupcake was great. Seating is a little all over the place.
Straw melts in cup cold cup of coffee...
Good spot for coffee and a treat situated off a side street in Georgetown. Only drawback is seating in and outside is very limited and lines can form quickly due to its popularity
The best bread in town! They make some really good breads with interesting ingredients. I haven't had a baked good from here that wasn't outstanding.
Spent 30 mins trying to decide no exaggeration; IT IS HARD TO DECIDE EVERY CAKE IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER NO KIDDING! The menu is mouthwatering and literally every cake is to die for. I tried the carrot & the smurfette and they were irresistible. Both were above expectations but I think I loved the carrot more. I wish Baked & Wired would open in Boston!!
Honestly I came here planning to only take one cupcake and take a 2nd cupcake from Georgetown Cupcake, but when I tried the sample? Baked & Wired definitely wins. I ended up taking 2 & skipping Georgetown cupcakes
Fantastic cupcakes and fine tea. I had the pumpkin cupcake and found the sweetness of the frosting balanced well with the cake itself, which was enjoyable even when frosting was gone (so don't only eat the top!) Their chai is warm and spicy as well as being a strong black tea.
My favorite cupcakes of all time are from here! I pick Baked and Wired over Georgetown cupcakes and Sprinkles every time I come to the area. They have cookies, granola, brownies, bars, and big cupcakes galore.
Favorite cupcake- Strawberry. Seems boring I know, but the buttercream frosting is not overwhelmingly sweet and the cake is the perfect texture with chunks of strawberries all around. I think it's the perfect icing to cake ratio and bigger than your standard cupcake. It tastes wonderful.
Favorite bar- S'mores bar. The Graham cracker part is SO good! And the chocolate layer super thick and chocolatey. Yummy. And I don't usually like marshmallows.
There are two lines. The coffee line is super short, and the dessert line is the long one going out the door. Moves fast though. You can leave your mark by hanging some tissue art on the wall in the back.
Delicious; but, we wish those were a bit less sweat
The best bakery in Georgetown! The cupcakes are larger and more delicious than the more famous Georgetown Cupcake, and having an ice cream sandwich in the summer enjoyed while walking along the river is unmatched in DC.
My daughter has been going there for a while alone but this is the first time that I have been in the car to go with her and it was Amazing. I ended up leaving there with four different flavors of cupcakes and I didn't regret it one pit at all. You see I'm not a big sweet eater like my daughter, especially with icing, but even the icing with a little topping except the coconut, which had a lot of coconut on its icing, It Was Simply Awesome and Amazing!! Wow, can't wait to go there again!!
Delicious pastries. Good variety. A hit with both friends and colleagues.
Best cupcakes in DC by a mile! So many unique and interesting options (plus the basics) and the ratio of frosting to cake is perfect for me.
The chocolate frosting is sweet but good; the cake is a little bit dry.
Easy delicacies are the way I'm going to explain these cupcakes. The food was terrific and the restaurant prices were good for the week. The queue was long, but it was worth it. I can see that it was great here. The food they had was great. So delicious, man. It's a pretty new product. The service was fantastic and the position was well run with measures taken to prevent covid from spreading. It is highly recommended.
amazing stuff sold here! usually a line out the door though
Best cupcakes around! Georgetown cupcakes can't compare just saying
i am not a cupcake lover...I became one after tasting theirs though. DELICIOUS!!!
The vibe is awesome, the prices are moderate, and most importantly, the coffee is great! 10 out of 10 would recommend.
The best cupcakes (cakeups)! Every flavor is perfectly balanced for optimal deliciousness, never had any experience other than exceptional. Every where else is sub-par!
The service is sincere and helpful. We had the recommended Almond Orangesicle, Strawberry, Uniporn and Red Velvet. The cake is not sweet and the texture is not dry. However, it is not particularly flavoursome or out of this world. What gives the cake the distinctive flavour should be the frosting, but the sweetness in the frosting has mostly dictated the flavour. The cakes here are undoubtedly better than some of its competitors, but to be honest, just another hyped up store selling a cake at USD4.10.
Love this place. Quaint Georgestonian place, If you're in Georgetown I'd take this over any of the cupcake places hands down. Can be busy but they move things pretty quick with baked goods as you walk in and coffee on the other side. Larger sized cupcakes and some different flavors but also carry pies, cakes and other goodies.
The cutest dessert and coffee shop in Georgetown. Literally right next to the lock. Delicious pecan and Carmel bar
Always stop when we are in Georgetown
Got the uniporn and rhinehos cake. Was phenomenal..... this place is the best..
The best breakfast in the area! Very friendly service!
A great little place with some really awesome cupcakes and other baked goods. I love the pecan bars and their wide variety of cupcakes. I wish they were open a little bit longer.
Been here twice, and got different flavors every time. Some of the cupcakes were kind of dry, just depends on what kind you get. The strawberry one was pretty good.
Not the first cupcakery that we have been to, but they are definitely THE BEST. Hands down, the best! Cupcake to frosting ratio is perfect, and to top it off the cupcake is moist. Without a shadow of a doubt, they are better than Georgetown Cupcakes and Sprinkles. Must go to cupcakery in the DC area.
Try the lemon bars! After months of only going there to buy cupcakes, I discovered a new fave. Only downside is they are not a regular menu item so you have to catch it when it shows up.
I tried a bee sting, brownie, and Mayan chai tea. The bee sting was pretty good. The brownie was took dark for me, I prefer milk chocolate. The tea was okay. The wait time is ridiculous. I don't understand the hype so far. I've heard the ice cream sandwiches were really good, but I didn't try one.
I have a slight obsession with sweets and this place exceeded my expectations. If you haven't tried this place yet, you are missing out.
Never. Go. To. Georgetown Cupcake.
Baked & Wired is where it's. I always get the Rasmanian Devil (lemon cake & lemon icing with raspberry jam filling) or anything with peanut butter. Espresso on the "Wired" side is excellent quality, too (the little heart ristretto designs at the top of that foam)
Fantastic desserts, even the cappuccino is the best ever drunk in the USA
I give them 5 stars just for their creative cupcakes.
Cappuccino was great, the stuff is very smart and efficient
The best cupcakes in town! They are amazing and a million times better than sprinkles and Georgetown cupcakes. I always get the vanilla and uniporn cupcakes (yes it is spelled uniporn).
I visit pretty frequently and they're always great. Everyone who works there is wonderful and everything they make is delicious. Special shoutout to the rosemary and goat cheese breakfast biscuit.
The cupcakes were good! Lots of variety, large selection and interesting combinations. Catered to all kinds of tastes which was good too!
Organization is poor. There s a line out the door because you don t see the selections until you are in the door and they are trying to take your order. They have menus to hand out but we didn t see that until we were in the door. Then you pay at the cashier but have to wait for your order so you stand around in the way for it.
Cute little spot for sitting and eating inside but we couldn t tell if there was anywhere to sit since the line was out the door so we assumed it was packed. Also reasonably priced.
Georgetown has a ridiculous number of cupcake shops (including Georgetown Cupcake, Sprinkles, the list goes on), but Baked and Wired is definitely the best of them all. Their cupcakes are massive and probably a meal in and of themselves, but they are absolutely delicious. They have the most delightful frosting, and their cake is decadent but isn't too sweet or overwhelming. They also have a fantastic selection of flavors, ranging from your traditional chocolate and vanilla to some fun and unique combinations like dirty chai. The store itself also has a wonderful vibe that's perfect for hanging out with friends or studying with a great cupcake and cup of coffee. If you're hoping to take advantage of Georgetown's fantastic selection of baked goods, I would definitely recommend stopping by Baked and Wired.
Good cupcakes but horrible customer service. Could not believe that the coffee cashier was screaming at customers. When he began throwing and shoving umbrellas when left immediately. We wont be back.
I only came here for the cupcakes and I had something with peanut butter in the icing. I don't remember what it was called but it was awesome. When I first drove by there was a line all the way down the hill which caught my interest immediately. I happened to stop by the next morning and there was no wait so I was able to get in and out in a couple of minutes. I can't say I'd wait in a line like I saw but if you can get in quick definitely stop by.
This place was simply AMAZING! I loved everything about it. The coffee, the baked goods, the design, and the vibe were all astonishing!! Don t miss out on this spot if you re in the area!
Overrated food and impolite to costumers. Place is way too small
Came all the way from Phoenix for museums, and the cupcakes. There is no comparison, one of a kind!
Amazing cupcakes! Simply the best around. The only negative was the coffee wasn't too good.
I don t know about the bakery... but the espresso is terrible.
I'm not personally into sweets, but if you are this is a must try in Georgetown. Other than that I love their coffee and teas. Lines can get pretty long during peak times, so make sure to plan accordingly.
Been coming here for years, excellent cupcakes and some other treats for those who want a little less sugar. IMO, better than Georgetown cupcake. Always a long line
Great coffee and cookies! I've actually never had anything else.
I love this place. Along with some of the best coffee in the city, they have pastries that can only be called decadent.
Might be the best cupcakes I've ever had, and I'm not even a cupcake fan:) Try the German chocolate one, it looks very rich but it's not heavy at all.
I've been going here for years and really want to love it. The food is great! The coffee varies. The service is painfully slow and even though a lot of the people have worked there forever, very few of them make any effort to connect with or even be friendly to regulars. As a former barista, I think this is really sad and disappointing. Having good relationships with my customers was one of the best parts of the job.
A great coffee shop with some of the richest and largest muffins and cupcakes in Washington DC! The cute coffee shop is always lively and the staff is quite friendly. The free wifi makes this a great place to write a thesis or read a book.
Love all of their cupcakes and their quiche! Honestly I think these are the best cupcakes in DC, I always bring visitors here rather than other cupcake shops in the area. All of their cakes are super dense, moist, and packed with flavor! They also have the right cake to frosting ratio - enough, but not too much you can't actually taste the cake. They do catering orders but I had some issue calling the catering line. So instead I sent an email and they were very prompt responding.
