The line outside is insane but you HAVE to go! Baked and wired (cupcakes and baked goods on one side and coffee on the other) features delectable treats of baked works of dessert art! I tried the pumpkin spice and carrot cake cup cakes but wanted the bitchin (and i hate peanut butter on anything except reese's and a spoon) and unicorn and red velvet! Go with friends so you can split and share then sneak back to take some home for later. It's crack in a cupcake! The wait is WORTH IT!! (On Thomas Jefferson St, Nw between M and Water Streets)

Loved this place. Had a delicious Texas sheet cake cupcake and a honey pecan bar. Didn't eat these items for a day due to travel but were still enjoyable. I also got the best espresso I've ever had from here. If I lived in the area I would be a frequent visitor.

We wanted to have a cupcake fundraiser. After calling around, Baked & Wired was the only cupcake store that was nice enough to allow us to have our cupcake fundraiser there. The staff was very accommodating. They were nice enough to let us use their lounge. When people started to arrive, I heard nothing but praise about their cupcakes. Everyone kept exclaiming how delicious they were. I couldn't wait to take a bite because they looked yummy and huge! After the fundraiser, I ate the carrot cake one, and I was in heaven. Very delicious. Their iced mocha was good as well.

Great spot with delicious food.

Came here with very high expectations but unfortunately was disappointed. It is really too pricy for what you get and in terms of cupcakes I think Georgetown Cupcakes is a better value for money. Also the location is crowded and loud and it looks like if you want to sit and eat you have to do it quickly. At least that's my take on this place.

You can find THE best coffee in the town here. it's really small, so not good for big group, but it's great for small group or those who want to grab a great cup of coffee and walk in Georgetown.

This is the BEST cupcake place in Georgetown, hands down. Compared to Georgetown cupcake you get better flavors and a bigger size. Even if you weren t comparing, this place is outstanding. Whether you re getting cakecups, coffee, or their amazing granola hippie crack , you won t be disappointed.

I love the Razmanian Devil (raspberry-lemon), the vegan Oreo, and the dirty chai. Every flavor I ve tried has been great! This is worth a visit if you re in Georgetown looking for a sweet treat.

Delicious cakes; good cappuccino, really nice presented. The espresso was not as expected: too burned and bitter for my taste ( you could detected it in the cappuccino too, but I am Italian therefore really demanding on that ;) ). Friendly service.

I'm very picky about my iced mochas. I've had mochas made at literally dozens of coffee shops in the area. I think that this place is in the running for best mocha in DC.

It's at least in the top three.

A bit of a line to get in but it moved fast enough. Excellent cupcakes - I tried the carrot cake which was great, but a lot of different good options. They also have cookies and brownies and gluten free and vegan options.

Absolutely loved this place! Great lattes and bakery items BUT the parking is AWFUL and you'll most likely have to pay a rediculous amount to park or walk pretty far. So it's definitely not a quick stop but it's worth it. I hate leaving 4 stars but the parking is a big pain.

Update: When the guy ringing the closing bell is so obnoxious and rude that he causes everybody to jump, it's time for the owners to intervene. Theirs cute, and there's rude.... and they know they are just being rude. The overall customer service here really isn't what it used to be.

Baked and Wired has one of the most diverse bakery selections out there, and their coffee is always outstanding. The staff and owners of the place couldn't be more accommodating. This isn't the kind of place you go to just once.

If you re looking to get on a reality show about a fad, please feel free to walk a couple of blocks further and strand in line by Georgetown Cupcakes. If however, you like a tiny wait -by a canal- and are in the mood for good food and coffee, this is the place to be when you re in G town.

I love this coffee shop/bakery. Big delicious cupcakes with the right amount of cake and icing, and was the 1st in DC to have nitro infused iced coffee. My fav is the coconut cupcake with a chai latte. Enjoy

So many cupcakes to choose from!! If you re a visual person like me, they have all their cupcakes in individual display cases (think the rose from Beauty & The Beast). Cake itself is dense but not at all dry and not too sweet. Thank god, because it lets the frosting do it s job.

I don't really understand the hype. My friends and I waited in a long line to try one cupcake, right after we already had lunch in Georgetown. The store itself is very small, and there's not much seating inside so most people get their goods to-go.

We tried the dirty chai. The frosting was kind of hard - definitely rougher in consistency than Georgetown cupcake. I'm not sure if I was the biggest fan of the frosting. Also, the buttercream didn't really have an espresso kick, which would've been nice. The cake was moist and flavorful, though. I definitely wish I could've tried their coffee, which they had a different line for.

Cake cups are still delicious. But since the store has increased in popularity, the service has gone down. Lines are long and the wait is too. Guess that's what happens when you lose the "quaint" aspect.

We have gone to Baked and Wired several times because of their delicious vegan cupcakes and it has never disappointed. If you are not big on cupcakes, they have other desserts (brownies, cherry turnovers, etc.) that could not be more perfect! We will be back for more, and will always bring our tourist friends here.

Although the line was out the door it didn t take long to get in and get our cupcakes. We tried all different kinds and across the board they were very good. A little expensive ($30 for 7 cupcakes). Service was friendly and we were in and out in just less than 20 minutes so it was worth the wait in line.

I can't describe how good the cold brew and how amazing the cupcake were at Baked & Wired. The place is nice & cozy, with very good music, nice service and outstanding feel. No wifi though. That's a bummer. Not bummer enough to take away even half a star for this amazing place;)

I got the Red Velvet cupcake and I have to say that it could have used more frosting because the cupcake itself was quite dry. My niece had a different flavor and hers was okay. I prefer Georgetown Cupcakes flavor but they are too small for the price.

I had very high hopes for this place. They were recommended by a friend. My pour over Honduras coffee was amazing. That's saying alot since I am a total coffee snob. The mixed veggie and goat cheese quiche was also excellent. However, it's extremely cold inside the place. I was also very disappointed that this place isn't wheelchair accessible as well as it doesnt have wifi access. I was planning a group Deaf chat here but Im not sure that will work. Overall its a good place for a coffee and bakery joint.

There are very good coffee shops and very good cupcake stores. This does both very, very well and has a cool vibe. It would be the coffee and/or cupcake stop I would make in Georgetown (it also won't have the long line of tourists "the other" cupcake store in Georgetown has and certainly has a more authentic local feel.)

5 stars for quality coffee and cupcakes, however 3 stars for the service that is politely indifferent.. the hip vibe should not affect customer service, especially now when having repeat customers is a good thing..
