Perfect and reliable service!
AVM offers a 5-year guarantee and repair service with generous advance delivery of a replacement device. The firmware is also constantly being developed for older series, which means that the product purchased remains state-of-the-art free of charge. Beta versions are available and customer suggestions are actually implemented. The support answers all questions quickly and competently and also helps with complex problems patiently and solution-oriented. Therefore, I can not understand the negative reviews here - especially compared to other manufacturers or providers.

Can only advise against devices of this company. Router bought just under 18months ago for 327 - 6 months later, AVM stopped the support completely.
Only support you get: How to dispose of the device properly.

5 years from the purchase would be at a router the minimum --- that's the waste.

I will never again buy a device from AVM.

For 10 years I use now Fritz boxes, before the legendary ISDN Fritzcard, for commercial customers also the professional ISDN maps. The boxes are made in Germany, the software is well maintained and updated far above average. Of course, AVM routers are quite expensive, as all the router blasts that pack the providers to their DSL connections, in terms of quality, service and support, however, none of the no-name boxes can keep up with the Fritz boxes. In addition, AVM gives on the Fritz box 5 years warranty.

Technology of the router absolutely state of the art, performance (except the Nas function), features and operation top, unfortunately unfortunately often not. 3270, 7270, 7490 all defective after approx. 2-3 years. This is disappointing. At least the 7490 now has a 5-year warranty. The sending in became a disaster. Although I stated from the beginning that it is an O2 version of the box, the service wrote back that I could make the exchange both via O2 and via AVM. So sent to AVM and on request still provided extra warranty. A few days later, the box came back unrepaired with the remark I have to exchange the O2. Except expenses have been nothing. Both the products and the service totally convince me! I can say this after only one month that I have my FRITZ! Box in operation. The device is super processed and the software is very easy to set up and use. The same applies to an additional DECT radiator thermostat.
Although it is a router branded by 1 & 1, I was quickly replaced with a defective power supply free of charge.
Software development can also convince. One responds to the ratings that users leave in the Play Store and corrects reported errors promptly. Dear AVM team: Keep it up, then you will keep me as a loyal customer for a long time!

Have a horrible experience with customer service. Called there and described my problem. I was not quite ready, I was bluntly told that this can not be and my problem does not exist. Of course I was annoyed and said that I am a customer who needs help and does not want to be questioned. Since the great colleague of customer service with a "Thank you for the call" just hung up! Unfortunately, I did not write down the name to complain about him properly. The next colleague was a bit more concerned about my problem, but the behavior of his colleague and my disappointment as a customer seemed to him to be pretty much matter.
All in all, I have not been helped yet (a week ago).
Conclusion: maybe AVM should train his Hotmail team and record all calls! The customer is unfortunately more of a burden in the already service desert Germany. Very sad.

The routers are innovative and true all-rounders. The service is so friendly, even if the contact often changes.

But everything that has to do with returns borders on fraud.
One receives a "from a Fermdfrima again worked up terminal", thus Say the defective equipment of another customer - which was reset and somehow at the 10th start still the fast diagnosis existed. For example, I was sent a replacement device which has no wireless interference, but the DSL module is not synchronous. The support then sold me for completely stupid ("that can not be") and only after detailed diagnoses sent another exchange device.
Which was not delivered as agreed with a returns sticker or power adapter, but without.
This "contractor which router works up" has not even managed to enter on the delivery note, the serial number of the box (even after complaining to the 2nd exchange device not). I guess it would also better describe "warehouse with temporary workers who reset routers".
Conclusion: Actually, they are good devices. But I would buy them only at Saturn, because within the first 2 years you will get an original welded-in new device (for exchange).
After that ... well, whoever is keen on experimenting or has a total failure can try it with the avm return .... But it seems to be more of an advertising promise than service with hands and feet.

(Incidentally, complaint has seen no need for action at AVM - so much on the subject of "customer friendliness").

The "customer service" from AVM can no longer really be called that! Here a manufacturer joins the largest "service wasteland" that was previously known for good support.
Instead of looking at an email with all the error logs, one tries to refer to the "feedback" function of an app with copied standard texts, which would also do nothing else than send an email with the same content ...
The only useful statement is "The causes for the behavior you described are not yet known to us."

I run a Windows Homeserver (WHS2011). Since I need an upload as fast as possible, but no fiber connection, but only supplied with copper, I decided to use LTE. AVM was already known to me positively from earlier times and so I decided on the Fritz! Box 6840 LTE, because the modem from my provider was unable to perform the required functions. Even though I'm not an IT specialist, the router was configured in no time. But then my router got the new software and nothing worked in connection with my WHS2011. But the employees of the support line, above all Mr. Bandemer, had a "donkey patience" with me and he made sure that everything works again to my satisfaction.
A company that you can recommend with a clear conscience, because the true quality shows in the problem phase.

Since 1999 I have set up the 11th Fritzbox and countless others with friends and relatives. Now I've had a seemingly insoluble problem since November 2019. Multiple phone problems. The DSL itself is error-free. I sent a description of the error by phone and on avm.de with a request for help. No Answer. I described the problem over the phone. The friendly "supporter" has promised to send me an e-mail on how to proceed. No answer, no email. I now turn to AMAZON to exchange the device. AVM has apparently stopped the support! I CAN ONLY EXPRESS A PURCHASE WARNING !!!!!!!!!!!

Service is a positive differentiator from the competition. What a company that offers high-priced products on the controversial hardware market is certainly of importance.
This market can not be exceptionally high-margin if AVM does not generate enough profit to build up a customer-friendly telephone service and telephone product advice.
I guess I just came across the same advisor as the author before me.
This service invalid in the product advice did not even manage to listen to my problem and the resulting need, but strangled me as quickly as possible. Even when I approached him on a product that could possibly solve my problem, I was dismissed with the statement that this product did not exist in the portfolio of AVM. About 30 minutes before my call, I saw the product on their website. In addition, I made clear already owning various expensive products of the company and want to expand my ownership in this area. With the sentence "It is better if we end the conversation at this point" I was left clearly perplexed.
This behavior was inappropriate not only because of the reasons described above, but also because I am one of the quite friendly customers who do not want to make the life of the phone service by disrespect still serious.
Even with the German railway one finds more customer service and professionalism, whereby this is hardly existent in most cases.

The DECT 300 radiator controller (predecessor) worked WITHOUT interruptions to the Fritz BOX. This new radiator controller DECT 301 constantly loses the radio connection to the Fritz BOX. AVM always gives you answers like "Maybe the connection from Fritz DECT 301 to Fritz BOX is not enough" Although I wrote that the box and the heater :-) are in the same place as before with the DECT 300. Also none 10 meters away. The crashes of the DECT 301 were also too numerous here. What I do not like is that changes are only sent to the DECT radiator controller every 15 minutes and so it is not recognizable on the way when the heating has now switched on. I would like to turn on the heating on the go and turn it off shortly before arrival. Unfortunately, this is not possible because you do not know when the 15 minute connection to the Fritz DECT radiator controller takes place. This means that the heating is still on when you arrive, or off too soon. Unfortunately there is also no PUSH mail that e.g. the DECT radiator controller has now switched on or off. For this, the PUSH mail works that the connection from the Fritz BOX to the DECT radiator controller 301 is interrupted, CONTINUOUSLY AND WITHOUT PROBLEMS :-) Switching on the DECT 301 while on the move is no longer possible, because you only have to use the DECT again from home Radiator controller 301 must connect to the Fritz Box. The APP for iOS MyFritz for setting the radiator controller is also a disaster. The plus and minus for the degree setting totally small, often no reaction of the button. The product DECT 301 cannot be used for this money.

Then I break a lance for AVM. I am very satisfied. I was very well helped by three different service employees. My problems have all been resolved within 24 hours. Even though there were no problems that are really easy to solve. And if I mean problems is that I had very special requirements for my FRITZ! Box.
You have to see the service in comparison to other providers. And that is really easy and uncomplicated. And what counts in the end is that it is successful. I've been using fitzboxes for over 20 years and have always found a solution or been offered a solution. The price performance has always been right.

Bad business behavior towards freeware developers because the name FritzBlock allegedly violates trademark law. Fritz is a normal first name and does not belong to any single company. Be happy when developers of your hardware program your hardware with meaningful added value for Lau and don't kick them in the cross. Better still, give your products their own name that belongs to the non-living person and does not enrich yourself with cultural commons.

The device setup works well. Even I got along with it. It would be nice to have a slightly larger battery for the phones. I don't find the color white so sparkling either. Note: I hope that AVM thinks about customer service. After reading through the reviews, there seems to be a lot of room for improvement.

Support receives all information, including the purchase date of the device with an invoice. Then asks questions about the bills, since there are several devices and there is no serial number from the AVM for the phone. The support then sends a link to create a RAM process, which is then promptly filed with the reason "guarantee has expired". What's that about?

The support (e-mail) is not really ready to think about a problem and feeds the customer off.

The latest Fritz boxes cannot properly VPN. Access from Windows computers is not possible, the remote access software leads to a blue screen in Windows 10. The software has not been updated since 11/2018. For Win 8.1, AVM even recommends using software from 06/2013.

If DECT telephones from other manufacturers are registered with a FritzBox (tested with 7430 & 7530), internal calls are only possible with an artificial pause of around 6 seconds after picking up.

AVM is interested in a Shice for the needs of its customers, but innovation is unfortunately not the case. The FritzFon C6 is a C5 in a different housing with a little more battery. Bluetooth cannot (still) do it.

DNS over TLS does not work correctly with FritzOS 7.21 either.

Finally, the cracker: AVM prohibits the private developer of the "FritzBlock" tool, which among other things Call spam blocking for the Fritzbox enables the use of the name "Fritzblock". How can you actually be asi?

Due to a production error, I had to search for the error for about 30 minutes and "walk" 20km to get a replacement router. The end customer was of course not willing to pay the costs.
The TEA socket was missing a contact (Pin2) and therefore in my opinion the delivered goods do not correspond to the description.
The manufacturer refused to assume the costs and suggested replacing the defective box as part of the guarantee.
I should also pay for shipping, but after a phone call I received a return stamp (for a star)
Here, a defect is equated to a production error. Quality drops tremendously. Goodwill is also a foreign word at AVM.

I have been the happy Fritzbox owner for over 20 years now. Recently my somewhat aged 2nd Fritzbox gave up the ghost. But only because a flashlight with an induction charger was attached to my 6-way socket strip. It broke and triggered an overvoltage and the FB blessed the time. I had my provider measure the line the day before because the DSL / Power LED only blinked. The DSL line was okay so it was on the router. I explained the situation of the FB to the technician and incidentally mentioned that the FB is already 13 years old and said that it lasted quite a long time.
In short, I am still enthusiastic about the AVM products. The quality is good and I have NEVER had any problems. Keep it up....

You get an announcement on which waiting place you are, this is constantly updated. In the end you end up with an extremely friendly and competent customer advisor.

Buy a Fritzbox - and call here. This is how support works. Here you don't have to explain your own products and tariffs to the customer service representative.

I had a problem for the first time with a Fritz box and must say, the service of AVM is great. Alone, that one is informed in the waiting loop about the "waiting place", so I have not experienced so far.
The problem with the device occurred on Wednesday. After telephone consultation with the service of AVM, I was able to deliver the box on Thursday at the reception at the friendly ladies. On Tuesday of next week came the call from AVM that I can pick up a new device.
3 days to get a replacement device is really alright. What more do you want. Also with the devices of AVM I am so far very satisfied. Keep it up!!

Employees on the hotline were of the opinion that the box is normally available. He has probably always been absent from the internal meetings when he as an employee does not yet know that this has not been the case for weeks.
The AVM sales department cannot provide any information as to when the boxes will be available, but supposedly they are being produced and production is still being ramped up (as of April 24th). Another employee says that the boxes were not completed due to missing parts from China will. Shops in your own area are named that you can call, but logically they don't have any.
Via the AVM dealer search with zip code, one of the Mediamarkt (3 in the area) is displayed with alleged availability. None of this applies when asked by Mediamarkt.

We have a spacious house with a studio for my wife in the front yard. So we have different phones in some rooms. With all these devices, including a Gigaset, I can make internal calls. Whether I take a cheap phone or an expensive one, it works with everyone except the AVM C5, regardless of the upstream router. It would be absurd if this phone only worked with a FRITZ! Box. For the others, I only have to specify the connection, for example R 1,2 or R 1,3 etc.

The routers are basically a good product - unless nothing special is required. Example Fallback to USB tethering on the 7530; because the hotline helplessly through the area, very simple questions, such as how long because DSL must have failed, so that the router qualifies as a failure, can only be answered assuming. Also, the question of whether the box evaluates a "training" of the DSL as a failure or not, can not be answered (my guess: no, because I have the impression that the box actually checks for "DSL active" and not on "timeout on PPPoe "). but in a "micro" failure training and IP address needs eternal, as would have been switched over long ago.
Of course, the 1st LevelSupporter then goes to scheme "F" - sends questions to the motto "tell it all again, dear customer" with the content of a " How is the error expressed?" including instructions to read out the support data of the box.
Uff, laborious; either this has never been asked or there is no decent WIKI at AVM. In any case, unsatisfactory, it costs my time and nerves ..... Because the question, if and how the 7590 does this "loadbalancing", nobody can answer ....

avm: good modems - bad wifi router. I would never sell their products without a WiFi router. B. from tp-link. i don't know what the engineers smoke, but there is no wifi coming out of the fritzboxes, only lan (practically only because of the overheated circuit board, bad design, incompetent engineers).

It's a shame, basically top products that are well maintained via software updates, but the service is one of the worst I've ever experienced. At school it would have been said sit six !!!!

So far I've been a big fan of AVM products, but now it's enough for me and I will soon throw out the whole "clutter" and e.g. Replace with Develo, because the support is no good, but nothing at all! You are friendly on the phone and try to provide solutions to problems using standard text modules, but if these don't help, you leave the customer out in the rain. Both the response time and the attempted solutions are a joke!

To this day I was using a Fritz Box 7590, three repeaters 2400 and one repeater 3000. After a solution via Powerline had not worked in the past and the oh-so-incompetent support had not managed to interrupt the DSL connection within four weeks. To eliminate connections that were caused by Powerline, I invested again in AVM Fritz products. I bought the aforementioned Repeater 2400 and switched the network completely to WiFi. This brought improvement but at times the WLAN got out again and the error message Authentication error ... Repeater registration failed was found in the event log. Until today, after three weeks, AVM has not been able to solve the problem. After a phone call with a very nice AVM employee, I even bought a Repeater 3000 last week because it was explained to me that it was more powerful. However, to save the honor of the AVM employee, I have to say that he did not take the view that this measure would solve the problem. In the meantime, this has become much larger and the WiFi has become much slower. With thirty pages of error messages in the Fritz Box event log, no wonder! It's a shame, AVM turns a satisfied customer into an extremely dissatisfied one!

Conclusion: Stay away from AVM products! These apparently work at slow speeds, but when it gets faster, there are problems that the support cannot solve, since it only works with standard phrases and does not address the actual problem. But it was a shame!

Perfect service and always nice staff when there is a question.
In our smart holiday home in Scharendijke, we fully rely on AVM. The fixed VPN tunnel enables us and our guests to make perfect, free telephony via our Euroflatrate in Germany. We also have an absolutely stable WLAN network that is also repeatedly praised.
Furthermore, the Fritzbox is the stable basis for our complete house control and its remote access. It is simply reassuring to know that regular updates keep the Fritzbox up to date with the latest technology.
In our completely voice-controlled holiday home, we have now also introduced video telephony via Alexa show for our holiday guests and, of course, the voice-controlled coffee machine.
Experiencing technology and trying it out on one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe is worth considering!

Customer service is already pathetic in terms of accessibility. Most users are more likely to be on the Internet on weekends and need support if something is not possible and not during the week. AVM's products are actually (!) Good, but I've already had the third Monday model in a row, and something like that is a bottomless cheek. I'm writing something on the subject of FritzBox AVM and the cable providers with their brandings , which makes me feel pretty cheated.
First of all, the cable providers decide to offer the AVM boxes to customers and collect money accordingly. So once the box was paid for.

The sales offer was also very clever, for example it was called "FritzBox 6490 CABLE". When I decided on the HomeBox from Kabel Deutschland, I went to the AVM website and looked up what the box can do.

What I didn't know at the time, however, was that the box was actually cropped to half its functionality by my cable provider and that I actually can't do much with the box. If someone were to say at this point, good, it was "free" for that - they are completely wrong. Of course, the box is paid for by the end customer; even the development of the "cropped" software ultimately costs the consumer money.

Now the router is no longer required and AVM sells the "free" boxes. At the same time, he does everything to ensure that the cable providers can continue with their modified boxes, as before, and sell their free boxes according to the motto: They can't help the machinations of the providers, but if you want to get rid of them , he can get a second box! ".

Sold twice to a customer and made with a half-functioning box - which would otherwise be a warranty case - for a "fully functioning" advertisement!

So I made up my mind and ordered a DOCSIS router from TP-Link. Further hardware is also obtained from other manufacturers. Personally, I'll pay more in the future, but I'll never use a single piece of AVM hardware in my life.

I won't let anything come of AVM! Thanks to AVM and your FRITZ! Box incl. Firmware with an integrated diagnostic tool, I was able to literally put my Internet provider "on the wall" and prove that the problem is NOT mine or my hardware. The measurement protocol can also be printed out without any problems, if you wish. The telecom technician who had to come to connect my connection again (was wrongly disconnected) also praised the AVM products very much. The telephone support is also top notch and very friendly and courteous. Conclusion: At AVM GmbH you get great hardware including firmware at a fair price. AVM is and will be my first choice from now on!
