As a first time homebuyer, I felt a bit out of my depth going into the whole process. Lisa and her team at FBC made the entire process seem anything but daunting. They were readily available to knowledgeably answer any questions I had regarding my loan, and their responses were always returned promptly. In addition, because I only had a little less than a month to go through the whole closing process (before I had to move out of my residence at the time), they had to operate on an accelerated schedule. Lisa and her team were not only able to have me clear to close on time, but managed to do so a week early! They worked around the clock and gave me their timely attention to ensure that they obtained all the appropriate documentation necessary to close. I highly appreciated all the effort the team put towards my loan, and would highly recommend them.

I sold my home in November. My real estate taxes were paid twice and it's February and I'm still waiting on the check. I have talked to multiple people including supervisors and gotten nowhere. No on knows what to do and every time I call I'm told a different story. Terrible customer service

If you want to buy a home, Ana Maria is your loan officer. If you've been turned down by many lenders, and you are at your wits end, don't give up! Give Ana Maria a call. She won't waste your time. She will listen to your situation and remember everything you've said. She will present it to her team and they will discuss what they can do. She led us through the difficult loan process quickly and smoothly. She answered and resolved all of our questions and concerns. She always answered our calls or emails. We were so impressed with how she maintained professionalism and loyalty to her clients. Always pleasant to deal with. For us she was a Godsend. I also have to mention Elaine and Stephanie from her team because they are super efficient and truly skillful at their jobs, literally shortening long waits to closing. I can't say enough for what Ana Maria has done for us. We are in a beautiful home because of her ability and willingness to do what it takes to get good candidates approved for a mortgage loan. Don't waste your time with lenders who really don't want to put in the work, or ones who are not willing to look for alternatives to get you approved. Call Ana Maria and her team to save yourself time. Thank you Ana Maria for everything you and your team did for our family. Best wishes to you always.

Update! Changing my prior 5 star rating to a 1 star. I was affected financially during the hurricane Irma storm (Sept. 2017) which was clearly communicated to the associate who recommended me to use the hurricane disaster 3 month loan forbearance. He informed my loan would not be affected in any way and that I would have the option to modify my loan (place the payments at the end), request another adjustment or pay the amount in full. I I formed loan modification. I never got to speak to the area handling my loan. Communication preference was via mail.
After months of back and forth, providing all the required paperwork I had to reach out to the CEO and ask for assistance on April 4, 2018. The very next day my paperwork finally gets sent for review. Today they tell me that I was denied the modification, that they originally offered me to help me out. And they pulled my credit to "review" me which, per the loss mitigation representative that I spoke to today should have never been done as this was a disaster review and not a refinancing. That's just the overview. Each call I made to FBC was another experience with un educated associates and supervisors to false promises, extended hold times (over 10-15 minutes) and mysterious disconnected calls to give you some examples. Do a detailed review of whom you chose to do business with but stay far away from FBC!!!!

This is by the worst experience myself and my family have ever had. We have provided every piece of information to them the same day it was requested. We have signed every form for them to get missing information that we didn't have. Now 3 days before we want to close the loan comes out of underwriting for the final review and there are papers missing that they need that were turned in at the beginning of the process and they didn't think they would need so they didn't request for them. Now they want to say that we can't close on time due to their lack of planning and getting all documents whether they thought they needed them or not. By far the worst company ever. Do not use them. If there was a way to put zero stars I would.

As a Realtor, I have been through many poor mortgage companies, These guys and gals at FBC get it done well and fast. All my clients have been very happy with the process!

I do not recommend this place Andrew does not follow up and gives you very little info about what type of loans would best fit my Financial needs. They just want to get people into these high payments and not think or care about the customer. Worse place to get pre approved. I ll be going elsewhere for my home financing.

Karen Grim is a miracle worker. She helped us buy a brand new home from Starlight Homes with an amazing rate. She was patient when I was stressing out and she calmed me down right up to closing. This was our first home together and I overthink things. Karen understood that this was my personality and did everything in her power to remove the stress from our closing.

FBC REVERSE MORTGAGE DIVISION DON'T DESERVE A SINGLE STAR! I am a Realtor of 25 years. The Reverse mortgage division of FBC has the worse customer service I have encountered in the last 25 years. This particular loan officer was Dick Wood. I tried reaching out to his boss, Todd Boss and that got me nowhere. The Mortgage company was clearly at fault. They didn't even have the decency to answer my phone calls or emails. Never will I attempt using the Reverse Mortgage Division again. If you are thinking of doing a reverse mortgage. Go to another company.

I AM SO SORRY....I have a mortgage with this LOUSY Company.........They will foreclose on you for FUN.......they tried to take my house, and they LOST.........and I will remind them I hate them with every payment I send.

Prior to working with Lisa, my husband and I attempt to get assistance from a combination of 7 different mortgage lenders and brokers. They were hesitant to even look at our application because my husband owns a small business. When I got a little frustrated, our processor Elaine Thomas was empathetic and made sure we were aware of any changes immediately. Lisa and her entire team make the mortgage process painless, honest, and worth it. If you want to purchase a home, Lisa Wheeler and her team will help you get there without sacrificing your sanity.

We were so excited when Jeff from FBC pre-qualified us for a mortgage and gave us our "golden ticket" to begin the process of buying a home. We had submitted all required documentation and were told that we would be able to purchase a home for $245k. After getting with our realtor, we ended up finding a beautiful home for $235k, and we signed paperwork and put down our earnest money.
Imagine how humiliated we felt when our file was transferred to Victor, who quickly changed his tune and told us that he had no idea why Jeff would pre-qualify us for so much, because he could MAYBE get us approved for $165k. We were absolutely crushed, because we thought we could finally achieve homeownership after years of renting. Instead, we had to go through the process of getting our deposit returned and cancelling the contract.
I wish we could have all the time back that we wasted chasing an unattainable dream, looking at homes that we had no chance of owning.
I understand that the underwriting process is more thorough, but absolutely nothing changed between the time we completed our application and when Victor ran it through the underwriting software. $80k is a significant difference in so many aspects, and this mistake is inexcusable. FBC gave us false hope and wasted so much of our time. Next time we will go with someone else.

Yes FBC is a great mortgage company as long as you don't go through any hardships and need help. Collections customer service along with regular customer service have NO CLUE about ANYTHING!! The most simplistic of questions they can't answer. I've ran into 2 representatives that knew what they were talking about and answered questions that the previous SEVERAL representatives AND supervisors had no clue about. Mr Elberts is one the reps that we spoke to that were REALLY informative and didn't rush me off the phone like most reps did and was more than polite unlike other reps and supervisors I've spoken to in the past and I appreciate that! These people who ONLY do mortgages have NEVER HEARD of rewriting a note. Wow! It was like another language to them. The guy I spoke to was so confused as to if he could even speak to me or not as I'm only on the deed and not the mortgage. Please FBC do a better job on training your staff to handle situations that come up! We were in a repayment plan that was suppose to end this month, unbeknownst to us our taxes paid required us to pay a higher amount then was in our payment plan agreement. We never received correspondence or an email OR ANYTHING letting us know that our payments should have went up according to our taxes. In fact the person that established our payment plan actually started our payments on the wrong day of the month making us due the END of every month on the payment plan instead of the BEGINNING so we would now have to pay a payment back to back when the plan ended and we were back to our normal payments! We've had a lot of set backs since we've closed on our house but we haven't got a lot of reassurance from the company to help US get back on track!

Extremely professional and knowledgeable! Lisa Wheeler from FBC helped my siblings-in-laws (Mandy & Ty) by educating them on the different programs available and of course, placing them with the right loan for their needs. My understanding is that FBC writes (or underwrites) their own loans, which allows them to be more fluid, flexible, and fast than other lenders.

Ana Maria Tcherassi and her team were unbelievable during the mortgage process. They were more than helpful, professional and guided us all along the way. I would send an e-mail early in the morning or very late at night and would get a very quick response. Even on Thanksgiving they were working. I finally had to tell them to stop answering and enjoy the Holiday. Great people.

Horrible experience dealing with FBC for the purchase of a second home. The entire process is about them and their needs or time. They have zero concept of customer service, and truly believe they are doing you a favor. We have had to endure conversations calling me unprofessional because of anger/frustration that cost me time and money. The concept that I am ultimately their customer and I am paying for their service is not a concept in their business model. Find a different lender that cares about your experience and not just packaging another loan to sell.

Jajaja I see the comments and just laughed, everything you guy said happens to me, I thought I was the only one...If I can give them 0 I will...worse lender company that I ever seen for your mortgage loan, bad costumer service and rude 8 dollar hour representative, they never will help you, they pretend, but they intentionally delay the process to make you give up jaja fools, I re-finance my loan with not an even famous lender and send FBC you know where, "one costumer less sorry" and little by little we will bring them down like it happen to others jaja, they will steal your money, I re- finance my loan with another company and send FBC to FTS! and now I have better monthly payments and interes rate, they are just a bunch of MF...STAY AWAY FROM THIS MORTGAGE LENDERS and check others lenders for your house loan. LIARS!!!!!!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Absolutely horrible. Ana Marie is completely inept at doing her job. After THREE delayed closings, we were in our moving truck finally heading to our closing and she sent a TEXT to us letting us know that we were not going to be able to close after all. A text!! She admitted to dropping the ball on who knows what and now we sit with a truckload of furniture and no closing in sight as we have had to now switch mortgage companies completely. Never have I ever had this kind of circus show when buying a house. The pages and pages of disappointment I could write here is not even worth it. It is criminal that this company led us on for this long (almost 2 months) and shameful that we stuck with them. Every single night at around 7pm we would get phone calls asking for additional information she needed. Things we had sent previously over and over. Questions we had answered over and over. If I could give them zero stars I would. Disgusting.
