Great place for families. We stayed 5 nights with three families split between two 2 bedroom villas. Kids had a great time in a family friendly safe and comfortable environment. When visiting remember to stock the kitchens with supplies from the Target and Costco about 10 minutes away. Off ramp to enter area of resort is sneaky so remember to stay in the right lane and go the speed limit when you are about a mile from the exit. My brother-in-law drove by it three times when he arrived late in the evening from the airport. Tells you how fast he was going.

We thought the location would be inconvenient as all the places we like to eat are in Waikiki. But we are finding the area around the resort to be quite convenient. There are strip malls nearby with a Target and Costco which was great for our family to pick up snacks and other items we needed. Service has been friendly and sincere. We are in a standard room and found it to be a decent size - especially for Hawaii. The pools are great and our 4 year old enjoyed Auntie's beach house (a place kids can be dropped off for some playtime).

The view of the beach is amazing, the service outstanding, the beach is nice, the pool is nice, the parking is good, the building is nice and big, it's nice how theres three buildings and a big pool and how it's related to Disney.

The most magically and enjoyable experience of any Hawaiian resort I've ever visited. Staff is there for anything and everything. Infectious smiles, coupled with a wonderfully maintained resort make one's stay truely enjoyable. Never had a care while there.

It's Disney. If you've been to Disney resorts and parks before that usually says enough. Incredibly helpful staff. Normal Disney prices. Place is beautiful inside and out. Dark bathrooms in the lower level... I know that's odd, and that's why I mentioned it. The lagoon is a great way to watch the sun set.

If you use a taxi for shopping, Charlies taxi is convenient. There is also a dedicated Japanese language dial, and it has been resident at 6 am from the hotel, and the flat rate is $ 80 for Ala Moana, $ 85 for the Waikiki area, $ 95 for Diamond Head, and $ 55 for the airport. Tax and tip are required separately.

This is my son's happiest place on earth. been here 3 times in the last year and dont plan on stopping. The pool's the food the beach its all amazing. The staff is very helpful and accommodating to all requests with some staff speaking Japanese and assisting with any request you might have.
I highly recommend this Disney resort and will be coming back again.

Very nicely done. They refer to the hotel as Big H Little D, meaning more emphasis on Hawaii and the culture and little on the standard Disney hotel experience. It has all the Disney amenities but without the fanfare. A highly recommended stay in Oahu Hawaii.

A nice hotel where you can relax. You can play even if you are not a guest, but many activities are for guests. We recommend that you stay overnight and feel at home with the atmosphere of Disney.

If your lucky to get parking always a nice getaway we went at the right time wasnt too crowded beach was clean noticed it has more things going on. Nice place for your younger ones and older to learn paddleboard. Dont need to worry about ending up in the deep ocean.

Botton line, the place is a zoo.

Botton line, the place is a zoo.

Incredible architecture and attention to detail, as you'd expect from Disney. Service is ok to good.

There are not enough pool chairs for all guests and everywhere you turn it seems they have slammed even more people in.

Food is outrageously expensive for quality. Souvenir cups are a $20 gimmick, I highly advise not purchasing as locations are scarce to fill and hours are short.

The spa was the only place my wife and I could find solace in this constant sea of madness they call the Aulani.

Get a condo a lagoon or two over and just pay the $100 to bring your kids swimming at Aulani. Also, don't forget to stop by Costco before heading this direction.

Place is nice but could use more adult things to do and an arcade for kids. We were also there for our honeymoon and received nothing in our room. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Went over to to the big island for 2nd week of honeymoon and received a bottle of champagne for our honeymoon in our room. Could give you something for the expense of staying there.

Like any other resort with a very dump down version of a lazy river. They have decent pool size for the resort and built for kids. They have daily schedules for kids to do (meet characters). Food is nothing exquisite since they gear the food towards children such as hot dogs, hamburgers, etc. Price was hefty and you could drive out for 5 mins to a local Center for food or Costco. The resort buffet had really good food but again the price was expensive. Adult was 55us a person.

Aulani, A Disney Resort, is a great place to stay, whether you have kids, grand kids, or no kids! If you like Disney, but you aren't looking for the over-the-top experience of a Disney Park, this place is great. Ko'olina is a quiet resort area, but you are close enough to Waikiki, and the rest of the island is open for your discovery. But you really can just stay put! Check out Rainbow Reef, a big salt water aquarium that you can snorkel in, and quietly watch the local fish in their habitat. Or swim in one of the lagoons, enjoying the calm water. You can snorkel closer to the reef, and might even see a turtle or two!
There are good dining options on the property, or check out the local places. Or rent a room with a kitchen and save some extra money by cooking all your your own meals (that's what we do!)
Aulani is a great place to go and relax, or take in the rest of the island.

The rooms are a generous size and great amenities. If you enjoy Disney, the character experiences are worth it. The amount of Disney around the park isn't too much, with wonderful Polynesian inspired designs. The pool is amazing.

Just visited on a day trip and even though we weren't resort guests the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. Our son got a small cut while playing on the beach and the staff helped us bandage him, cheered him up with smiles and stickers and we're very friendly.

I would say that customer service culture is defiantly in need of improvement. I had called to extend my trip by two days and was very clear about it. Instead the reservation agent had revised my arriving date also. When I noticed the emails and called back instead of finding a soloution or revising the stay I was passed around and at last was connected to Johhny at guest services, he didnt offer any soloution except telling me how the problem was created. Then he put me on hold and disconncted after 30 seconds. I still have not heard back from Aulani.

At first I thought this place was just an overpriced and over rated resort. Once I actually stayed here though, my thoughts completely change. Between the waterparks, the included activities, and just the overall experience, I say it's well worth it. Is it pricey? Yeah, but you get what you pay for.
