It was a nice mix between adult friendly and kid friendly. I would recommend doing Aunty's walking tour especially if you have kids. It blended technology, enjoying the details of scenery, story telling, and Disney magic. All of the staff were very kind and accommodating. The only negative is the high price of everything. But it's Disney in Hawaii so there you go. I would not do the character dining in the morning again, but I would consider it for lunch (waaaaay too noisy and boisterous with singing and kid activites early in the morning)

Beautiful resort! Loved our 1 Bedroom Island Garden View room! Great family vacation destination! Picture taken from our balcony, room 1471, right next to the elevator but never noisy, best room!

Awful customer service. I was just trying to book a room for my ohana! My ohana is born and raised on the island. I thought aulani would be great for the kids to experience disney without us flying to California like we do most years. I made over 10 searches for open dates and found nothing! So I went on the chat in Hope's they could help me book or guide me to open dates. NOPE. The agent made it seem like it was to much "work" to look through dates for a customer even though I been searching all day almost! What's the point in having customer service if they wont help you? Mind you they not cheap so the least the agent could do was help me with an open month which owen did not! So shameful and I made it very clear I'm a local looking for a staycation. Disney came to hawaii for for the people of hawaii to have this experience but they show no aloha! Better off booking with the Hilton at least they would give me an open date and happily take almost 2 grand from me!

The pool is substantial and is great for families with children

my family of 8 stayed here this week, the t.v. did not work, the internet is awful and "they are aware of it"
my husband stepped on something at their pool yesterday, he was gushing blood. the lifeguard did help him but that was the end of the assistance we received. we asked for a room for the night since we would have to stay. they were unable to help us. we ended up finding a hotel we could use our points at. 50k points! the aulani did give us transportation to the new hotel (most likely to get us out of their hair)
my Disney package included transportation to and from the airport. when I called this morning I was told I will have to pay an additional $191.00 for transportation, when I called Heidi in Disney Guest services she told me it wasn't their problem and I should have purchased travel insurance.
save your money! they do not care about you, just your wallet.

The service was great and the food there was amazing... The rooms were big enough to fit my whole family.

Grew up in Florida near Walt Disney World. This property is "Disney light". Good enough for a first time experience if visiting Oahu. We did the character breakfast and it was worth it, if you have kids.

Fun time for a couple days on Oahu. Easy to spend a lot of money there. Things are expensive and add up quick.

The staff has been wonderful, facilities are clean and gorgeous, and the free child care is priceless.

I am not interested in Disney but my family is. We had breakfast there and I was surprisingly satisfied their service. It's a bit far from Honolulu but it's worth to visit by rental car even though you are not a fan of Disney but if you have company who is.

Amazing like only Disney can be. There's no equal. A dream come true and more.

Very luxurious. The only problem with this place are the people who stay here, a lot of them are very rude. But the staff and grounds are exactly as advertised.

This place is a young kid's paradise. Not for me. It's extremely crowded and noisy. Perpetual motion with all the people.

I was disappointed. This hotel is nice but I expected more of a Disney feel. It was just a 4 star hotel. Not really Disney oriented. I would skip.

I was moved by a hotel I had never seen before and I took pictures. It was a rough sea different from the sea of Waikiki.

Fantastic place for the whole family! Food was good and service was always exceptional. Always chairs available by the pool and beach, and it is free to borrow sand toys and boogie boards!
My only complaint is that you cannot leave children who are not potty trained at auntie's beach house even if they are in a fresh pull up. We are a special needs family and were not even allowed to use the bathroom at the beach house.
Would be nice if they provided aides on an as need basis (even for an extra fee) for children with special need so parents can have a break for just an hour or two.

Wonderful resort. So friendly and clean. A perfect place for families.

I'M a member and have been here a few times. For what we pay, it's time to improve the maintenance of the rooms and suites. No Hot Tub availability after 8 PM was a disappointment for us. We just don't get that!!!

Obsessed. Planning our next vacation already. Great resort. We would have never left all week and my 4 kids would have been happy!

Attended a wedding. The food was excellent, everything tasted great. We were served BBQ ribs, teriyaki chicken, prime rib, and misoyaki snapper. The chicken was flavorful and not dry. The ribs were so soft they just fell off the bone. The prime rib was well seasoned and cooked nicely. The fish was flavorful and not dry. The property is very nice and has a welcoming feel. First walk in to the lobby is very impressive.

A relatively small, kid-friendly resort with lost of activities for kids and the not-so-kids. The beach area is well maintained. Be sure to try out the daily beach workouts at 9am. They vary from yoga to boot camps to aerobics.

Nice people. Good location. It's a paradise. A perfect getaway.

Children's paradise, adults are comfortable and I hope the food is better. If you are diligent, you can enjoy the camping atmosphere on the grill.
I want to visit again

The service and amenities are great. My wife and I took our kids 2 and 6 they both loved it. The only thing that I would say they need improve on is pricing for meals they are a little high. The view from our 10 floor balcony was amazing.

It would be a very good option if you were with children .... If the children become elementary school students, it would be good to participate in the NT Beach House educational program and adults to shop around. The children's satisfaction is very good!!! The swimming pool is also not very active, but it is great for children to play!

Resort is beautiful, lots of things to do and places to eat.

I was Planning our 10 year wedding anniversary and was originally going to take my wife to Bali when I asked her a simple question, if you could go somewhere tropical where would you go? my wife responded with Hawaii.
My new Search was now destination Hawaii and as I was searching I found the Disney Aulani resort. Originally the planning was to be a secret and only planned the trip for my wife and I(10year wedding anniversary). It was then I remembered that my oldest daughters idea of a beach was the Vancouver coastline she was 4years old when she had 1st seen the ocean and frankly that is not a "beach"
I broke the secret to my wife because if I wanted to take the kids with us I was going to need her super organizing skills to make this trip happen but together we decided to keep this plan a secret from our 2 girls.
Arrival was redeye very early in the morning and the magnitude of this resort can only be appreciated in person ... simply put incredible!
Even though arrival was very early the staff were amazingly courteous and helpful knowing we are travelling with our 2 girls 8-4 years old, we were given early check in because our room was available and they didn't charge for early check in!
The restaurants were easy to find and wait times were minimal if that, everywhere you looked there was something to do either with your kids or by yourself.
Scuba for beginners what a great idea swim with "friendly fish" for the kids and adults however my oldest couldn't get used to how the breathing was and our experience was cut short we will try again next year!
Volcano water slide and lazy river were awesome, the beach awesome and the Disney characters were pretty cool as well. Story time at the giant fire pit was truly an experience everyone should do, there was so much to do at this resort if you got bored then it was because your lame!
Suiets were very nice and accommodating, our ocean view was breath taking especially since it over looked the Luau.
Our experience was truly amazing and amazing is an understatement, there are a couple of things if I may close this review with.
1. If your looking to spend 2 star hotel money then do not come here! people need to realize this is a 5 star resort so expect 5 star prices.
2. If you pre book your rental car and it takes almost an hour to get into your "pre booked" vehicle then I would suggest asking for an upgrade on vehicles at no additional cost... if another vehicle is available they will upgrade you... just saying.
3. In our opinion where the resort could improve on is somehow making guests aware of "free" services cause everyone likes free even when you can afford to pay... example: the ipad interaction parent/kid game though out the resort so much fun and free!
the in room movies or DVD rentals free!
The child care (parents break...lol) believe it was called Auntie's kitchen free!
Other than that I highly recommend this resort so much so we have already booked our 2019 vacation back to Aulani... see you soon Mickey and Goofy and the rest of the cast!

Very family friendly, clean resort. Everyone working is kind and attentive. The beach is fun, the food was good and it was pretty easy to navigate. There was a couple of times we had some mishaps with our club member wrist bands and the main member had to be there with their card even though they could have just verified our room with our own key. That was a minor bit though.

Enjoyed the character breakfast buffet. My daughter loved it and ono food!

I'm giving it 5-stars as a resort. I'm not a fan of Disney and wouldn't normally encourage anyone to explore the world via Disney. I'd suggest something near Waikiki if you're visiting to see Hawaii. However, and this is a big however. If you're traveling with kids or you're a frequent Disney visitor or Disney property visitor, this is a sensible option. It's a beautiful resort and has everything you could want or need on property or across the street. Where it falls apart for me is hearing someone say it's just like the Polynesian resort at Disney. Disney is Disney and Hawaii is Hawaii. Get out and explore.

Very beautiful resort, friendly staff. Only reason it's not 5 stars is the high food costs on property and the uncomfortable bed in the room. Could use better mattresses.

We had an amazing time at the character breakfast. Everything was extremely well done.

Aulani was amazing. My son put it best . . . A REALLY nice Hawaiian resort with the help of Disney magic. Not overly Disney, but just enough to know you are on vacation with Mickey. Expensive!!!! But think of it an experience, too. Not just a hotel.

Always a great experience at Aulani. Staff members professional. Facilities clean and maintained.

Third stay here and what can I say, they know how to treat their guests. On this trip everyone we dealt with treated us like family. No one treated us better or could have than Rocky. She was working the adult pool area on the east side of the property. A great example of professionalism mixed with aloha spirit. She exemplifies great service. Hope to see her on the next visit.

It was a wonderful stay. Location was great. Cast members were very friendly.

Small rooms, poor service, overpriced food all over the resort. A lot of restrictions and rules witch puts you in a lot of discomfort. We spend 5 nights for my girls bday and we didn't enjoy it at all. We had to wait in line to see the characters and take pictures with them, they don't have anything special for Birthdays besides room decoration witch was not a big deal.

Best check-in service I have ever experienced, fun place, friendly staff and haven't fallen for the rip off resort fees! Keep up great service

What else to say but this place has Disney magic written all over it.

Rooms were clean and comfortable.the stagf was very friendly, the front desk staff was great, but some of them were confused when i asked some questions about checking out.

Love this place also like that they have Dole whip.

Excellent service from the staff...normal with everything associated with Disney......just make sure you grab ur food from the Luau as they will put it away real quick.

Didn't stay here but went for the Disney Character Breakfast. The food was your typical breakfast buffet and the food was fresh. We got to walk through the resort and it looked really nice, packed with kids and families.

Went for a wedding. The hotel ran the wedding perfectly. Prices here are disney prices, which is my only complaint with the resort. The beach and pools are pristine.

Seriously Paradise with fantastic customer service. Great vibe for the kids and adults too We felt totally safe and at home here.

Nice place so far, it took bell hop 2 hrs to bring bags to the room

The water parks were amazing and the lobby looked quite grand
