I also enjoy going to look for a limited Mickey with plenty of activities and swimming pools
Beautiful hotel. Take time to walk through the hotel and laggoons. Pool side is unbelievable, slides, hot tubs and food. There are a lot of employees which is usual for Disney properties. The staff are very friendly.
Hands down Disney did good with this resort. The staff are very accommodating and bend over back wards for you. Only a few issues need to be addressed; More eating locations on the resort with more food options, the resort should have more beverage and coffee stations that should be available 24/7 and a full service bar at the beach for the adults.
The valet attendant upon arrival was very friendly and sincere. Online check-in want ready in time for our arrival so had to check-in at regular line. The gentleman at the front desk was excellent. Our rooms were ready by noon, villas as expected. Always like those deluxe studio rooms. Hard to find chairs by pool areas.
Although I didn't stay overnight, I visited to buy a turtle character that only sold here.
I rented a car, so I arrived around 14:00 from Honolulu.
Disney lovers and I are excited about the image
On the way, I was doing a character greeting for Moana (?) And there was a line.
Because I was not a guest, I can't take a photo.
Let's take a look at the beach! I went to the beach, but it was hot and dissipated ...
I sold ice cream at a shop on the beach, so I chose turtle soft cream.
It was hot and melted from the side where I was taking a picture ... my son hurriedly eating while his hands became muddy.
The taste was delicious!
Next is shave ice!
There are several types of shave ice, and I think the shape of Mickey was up 1 dollar.
My home is Mickey if you eat it.
There are lots of flavors and I think I chose Lilikoi, Watermelon and Guava.
Depending on the taste, it will be a colorful finish, but it will look orange.
As a souvenir, I bought a stuffed turtle key chain and popcorn.
The correspondence was also polite and helpful.
It is a hotel where you want to stay if you have the opportunity.
It was a place where I could be satisfied with the day trip.
The atmosphere at this resort is amazing. Family friendly and very professional.
Situated south of Honolulu Airport, on the other side of Waikiki. It can be enjoyed as a beach resort different from Waikiki.
The rooms are a generous size and great amenities. If you enjoy Disney, the character experiences are worth it. The amount of Disney around the park isn't too much, with wonderful Polynesian inspired designs. The pool is amazing.
One of a kind experience with beautiful beaches, plenty of pools/activities, and restaurants. Make sure you make food reservations if you plan to get on site! Fill up quick
Fun and family focused. High quality service and Hawaiian theming done to a Disney standard without all the characters. Almost have to search to find recognizable Disney elements.
Wonderful service, clean, friendly, attentive, overall very nice
The location is beautiful and the pools super fun for the kids. But the hotel is way too big for the amount of people working here. That means poor service and long waiting times for anything you want: coffee/front desk/reservations etc. Actually it s just like being at a disney park; you que up everywhere. The on site restaurants are nice but book up months in advance. The alternative is just snacks, so we have been going out for dinner every evening. Also, everything is very highly priced. Even rental cars are literally 5 times what you would pay for a rental car at a regular place on the island. So mixed feelings about our full week stay at Aulani!
Love the resort, but if you don't make reservations for certain activities weeks or months before you go, you (or more likely the kids) will miss out.
The character dinner was not worth it. Three characters and two of those we didn't see until everybody was done eating and had to stay and wait.
Warm, loving and welcoming ohana at tge Aulani Disney Resort
Such a fun trip! We were able to upgrade to a 2 bedroom upon arrival. So many things for kids to do. We don't want to leave!
Everything is thought of - Great family experience
We spent 7 nights and the kids did not get bored once
My recommendation is getting a villa - the kitchen and Washer were fantastic for keeping to a budget and still being able to live without feeling like you are living out of a suitcase
HOT TIP - Ask about the tablet adventures - the whole park has functioning idols, paintings and hidden gems that work with a tablet that runs through an adventure with the kids - free of charge and an absolute ball of fun.
Kids Club activities can be better. Beach is great and the sunset is very pretty. We loved their Luau, VIP is worth the price!
Aulani has all the right things for a very relaxing trip. It is very Hawaiian with a touch of Disney. Such a great place to experience Hawaii. We can't wait to bring our kids back when they are older!
Good time. The service was mostly friendly, but lacked the Disney plus.
Fantastic, well above expectations. I went in December, not sure if that makes a difference in crowd size but it seems to be handled well.
I thouroughly enjoyed the few nights I got to stay here, the room I stayed in was fully equiped with everything we needed, the staff was so friendly and helpful. I would definitely reccomend this place for a nice enjoyable family vacation!
Great facilities. Very kid friendly. Weaker food and bar program.
Visited for a quick walk around. The grounds are beautiful
Beautiful but expensive! They gave me free 4 hrparking and $50 credit for a timeshare presentation, and I enjoyed my time there. No pressure on the timeshare sales, it was classy. I enjoyed a mai tai and lunch at the pool bar, and a lovely day at Ko'olina!
I am very happy with Aulani. This is a place for anyone to enjoy all what they have to offer. No one should be unhappy with their stay here.
Beautiful family resort, absolutely incredible pools with lazy river. We had a 1 bedroom villa w/garden view. Clean big and every morning we sat out on balcony and had breakfast. They have a private lagoon with plenty of chairs overlooking the ocean.
Visited Aulani for to see family for the day. Although everything was nice to look at, I was not impressed with the $12/ hour self parking. Also, knowing how much my family played per night, I would not recommend anyone stay unless money is not an issue. Ive been to similar resorts for much less in the area. They visited the buffet and had a bad experience, again relating to the cost of the food compared to what they actually got. Just know that although it is a nice resort in general, most people that stay might feel they are not getting a good value for how much everything costs.
If you've got the money, there is no better place in Hawaii than the Aulani!
Excellent attention to detail is what to be expected from Disney at their resorts and this one was no different. Pool area was nice and room/bathroom were excellent for the cost.
Awesome. We went one weekend for 4 months in a row and had no bad experiences at all.
It may be pricey to eat there but if you plan ahead, it isnt so bad.
Food was pricey but large enough portions
to share. Great entertainment for the kids, wonderful atmosphere, cast members were friendly and efficient. Will be going back.
Celebrated our anniversary here on 4th of July. Makahiki buffet, plus fireworks made it special.
We are Disney lovers but your basically paying for a hotel with a nice pool. The beaches and lagoons are free. For 1/3 the price you can still stay at a nice resort and go to wet-n-wild water park. Not a complete "Disney" experience for me.
Went to character breakfast. Characters were there and interactive. T ime with them was short. Breakfast was good but sort of generic buffet fare. Pricey for what it was but fun. Be sure to park in self park, valet is $35. You can get validation for self parking with meal.
We are DVC members and Aulani is our home and we took a 2 bedroom villa with garden views for my wife and my two kids for.our first visit to the island. With a king bed in the master and two queens in the second bedroom there was plenty of room for alls, espically with 3 bathrooms. The cast as always were awesome and to the expected Disney level and the grounds were kept in great condition. The only draw back I have is the rooms seemed linked somehow since for the 8 days we were there all I heard when trying to sleep was a younger child crying which kind of kills the vacation when you can not sleep when you want to. The normal banging of feet across the floor and doors slamming shut ate to be expected but this hearing someone front another room was new to me since at other Disney locations I had not had this. The only ones worse off then us where the child and the parents (hopefully not ignoring the child) but either way this will make me think twice flying that far to hear noise from another room. I would be curious if anyone else has had this issue at Aulani, maybe just those rooms? We really do love Hawaii, even though suck with hurricane Lane right now.
The Aulani is a fun family place...we didn't actually stay there this year...we were at our favorite lagoon that is on the outskirts of Aulani...
Was really disappointed with first room they put us in. Didn t seem very clean. The pull out sofa bed had stains all over it and room didn t seem very clean. We decided to let the front desk know about it and so we packed up our own luggage and moved into another room that was supposed to be an upgrade. Once we got into new room, it appeared much cleaner and nicer except for toilet was having issues backing up. We ve had maintenance out 3 times, but still no luck. There are defiantly some plumbing issues so We ve been using lobby bathroom down stairs because the anxiety is overwhelming worrying about toilet backing up. We just want to enjoy our vacation. We didn t want to pack up again and move a mile back another direction. We definitely won t be coming back here again unfornately and the experience was a bummer for our family
Recently visited Aulani for the regular breakfast restaurant facing the beach. Service was fast and food was good.
Love this place...Everything kids want to go and have a great time. Much fun!
Amazing place like any other Disney experience as they say it magical. Hard to explain how happy one gets when a big company like Disney goes above and beyond to care for ur dietary needs. They got us halal options for all our brunch and dinner reservations. And the chefs explained everything in detail and made all possible options for us. Just awesome.
We were staying at a neighboring hotel, but popped in for some food and shopping. The atmosphere is very nice here, and it's super easy to find your way around the hotel. I'd definitely stay here the next time I come down for vacation!
Beautiful hotel with great service, comfortable rooms, family oriented, awesome pools, and many more.
Beautiful resort, lots of stuff to do. Good food. Just a little expensive. 10 for kids meals. Make sure you reserve Aunties beach house early, and have already made food reservations.
Decided to stop by for an hour since we were in the area. It has a lot of nice Disney touches and has some great family oriented pools and beach options. However, the price per night is steeper than other comparable properties with similar private pools and beaches. You are definitely paying a premium for it being Disney.
We stayed overnight in a villa. Although pricey, the room was clean and spacious and fully equipped with a full kitchen, jacuzzi tub, walk in shower and multiple flat screens. Disney customer service has always been asking the best from the moment we arrived until we excited the doors and although it has been something that we've come to expect from Disney, it never ceases to impress. If you can afford it you will find that it's worth every penny.
Beautiful resort with fabulous pools. Kid and family friendly. When we arrived we all received fresh leis and a real, warm welcome. The food was not great, but would definitely stay there again.
Went to the character breakfast. Food was good and the kids were entertained.
It's a fun world. The best pool group for little kids!
I came to Aurani to conquer the world of Disneyland.
After that only cruise, this seems impossible.
A few points to know...
*It is not very "Disney" -- only things we saw that were reminders of it being a Disney location were the items in the gift shop and the towels being shaped into Mickey ears
*You're told that there are Disney characters all over for you to get your picture taken with, but in the 5 days we were there only ONE TIME did we see anybody dressed as a character (Chip & Dale)
*Make sure you buy the $20 refillable cup -- they don't tell you about it, but it will save you money getting free soda refills (soda machines only open from about 7am-9pm, so make sure you have drinks in your room)
*Staff is very friendly and helpful
*Considering where you are (Disney resort and in Hawai'i), the food prices are decent -- there is a small strip of businesses across the street where you can get good food too, so don't be afraid to venture off the property
*Parking is $37/day, even if you are staying at the hotel
*Beach is nice and private (only Aulani and Four Seasons have access)
Loud and kid friendly but it's still possible to find places at the resort where you can relax in relative peace. The chairs and recliners on the deck through the main entrance offer great views and the chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of the lobby.
The lazy river is fantastic on a warm day and the adult only pools don't seems to get too crowded, at least the few times I've been there.
Nice place to stay if you have kids. Room too small for the rate.
Amazing Hawaii vacation destination very beautiful place with an authentic Polynesian setting.
Great beach. Clam for snorking with fun fish to see.
We didn't stay here we just visited. You have to either pay $50 to park or spend at least $50 in the gift shop to get a validation to park. Kind of ridiculous, but this resort is amazing! Beautiful grounds with an awesome water park. Disney characters available for photo ops. Right on the beach with spectacular views!
I just visited and toured this place and love it! Can't wait to bring the family next year!
It's expensive, but you get what you pay for. We had massages at the spa and the water garden was so much fun. We used a cabana and hung out there all day. It was quiet and peaceful. We ordered lunch from room service and it was good as well. The service is impeccable. The view from the restaurant at the hotel is amazing! I want to go back!
Such a beautiful resort!! We had an amazing breakfast and dinner and love the pools and layout. Will be coming back!
This place is a paradise ..how can people give bad reviews I don't understand .
The spa here was amazing. Go early before treatment to enjoy all the spa has to offer, hot tub, cold pool, steam room, sauna, napping room, etc
The putdoor showers similate different water falls on the island and were very relaxing just to stamd under and unwind.
Room was not ready when we arrived, then our keys didn't work. Half way in to our stay our keys stopped working again so we had to get them redone. Food was expensive for what you get. Ama ama was the best food at the resort by far and had great views. Highly recommend that you eat there during your stay
We went there this year for the second time and our kids love it. There are so many fun things to do from snapping pics with the Disney characters to building sand castles/swimming in the cute little ocean lagoon.
Highly recommend if you have kids.
We thought the location would be inconvenient as all the places we like to eat are in Waikiki. But we are finding the area around the resort to be quite convenient. There are strip malls nearby with a Target and Costco which was great for our family to pick up snacks and other items we needed. Service has been friendly and sincere. We are in a standard room and found it to be a decent size - especially for Hawaii. The pools are great and our 4 year old enjoyed Auntie's beach house (a place kids can be dropped off for some playtime).
Family had a great time. Beautiful resort, lots of water activities and didn't really feel disneyish. It's very expensive though and expect long lines of you want a pic with Mickey. Would come again.
This place has been truely a delight people are just wonderful. So glad we came we will be back.
Aulani's amenities and service are world-class. From the moment we pulled up to valet, we felt like VIPs. As we exited our cars, we were warmly greeted and gifted traditional leis and spa water.
From there, we changed and enjoyed the beach front and amazing swimming pools. Kids can check out sand toys and other fun stuff during your stay. Children 3+ get access to Aunty's Beach House, which provides kids with an endless supply of toys, costumes, and more.
If you like Disney, this is probably the prettiest property I have seen. And I think I have seen them all
My 6 yr old son had fun. Bathroom smelled of mold, had to have bed replaced because it was sinking when we slept, customer service was good, over priced.
