We just visited for the gift shop and to check out the area but I fell in love immediately. There was live music at the restaurant. The cove was peaceful and beautiful during sunset. Definitely want to stay here one day!

Awesome place for kids! Very kid oriented and staff is all really nice. There were plenty of activities for the kids and stuff for adults to do as well. They offered snorkeling in a tank with fishes, a clubhouse with disney characters breakfast buffet with Disney's characters...the rooms are nice and comfy. Lots of amenities in there!

We only went for drinks at the bar, but the staff was friendly, the atmosphere was beautiful, the location right on the beach was great, and they had live music. Great place to watch the sunset and relax

Love the ambiance of this hotel. It looks native to Hawaii in its architecture and decor. But what really sells this place, is the concierge services. Rina was outstanding in assisting me in the planning of my sis-in-law's birthday party. She ordered the cake that I wanted, told me where to get decorations at a nearby Target, and arranged a handwritten card from Mickey as a surprise. She was just as excited about it as I was. Great person. Great experience.

This is the 5th year I have visited Aulani and it will be my last. The resort is still well maintained but value for money is certainly not there. Prices for everything across the board have seemed to increase whilst services and options of items and activities have stayed the same or regressed. Quality of staff service is also very hit and miss. There are certainly many other options on the island that provide better bang for your buck.

Great place for kids and adult. Our first time here and my two boys absolutely loved it. There are activities for kids for all ages.

Attended a stargazing event at lagoon 3 and it was a blast!

Nice hotel, but the water park is more suited to younger kids under 10 years old. Food selection onsite is average and not great. The rooms are good size.

We enjoyed a spectacular sunset dinner for our anniversary at Ama'Ama. Delicious food, terrific service, and the most beautiful scenery made for a delightful evening.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Every single member of the staff is incredibly nice and helpful. Food is great and the views are out of this world!

Great place for kids. They have everything you need onsite. Ask them where to see the sea turtles as it's an easy walk and amazing.

Amazing 2br 2.5bath room that was perfect for our extended family. We were facing diamond head and could watch the evening entertainment from our patio.

Love the personalized treatment. Love the resort. The staff is exceptionally friendly thus far. Lots of activities on site. I am not too fond of the $37 per day parking fee. Way too much especially considering the cost of the hotel.

Great resort with children. 24 hours a day is not enough fun. It is also fun to take pictures with Disney characters. The character breakfast can be booked in advance, but you have to make reservations a long time before you can enter a good time. I made a reservation a week ago and there was no place after 7 o'clock. During the breakfast buffet, mini, goofy, and pluto go around the table and take pictures together. It is a favorite program for children.
The swimming pool is small in size but in great demand. The water flow is so slow that you can enjoy a tube ride with a little baby. You can go down to the sea and swim in the lagoon and play sand. It is better than Waikiki because the sea is calm because it is a lagoon. Of course, the sand is even better.
I watch children all day at Anthea House. You can check in at the hotel and register your children at Anthea House anytime. There are various programs such as games, movies, princess dressing, making and drawing. The outdoor playground is a playground in the woods, so my children who are grown up in the city love it.
There is a barbecue grill outdoors, so you can eat grilled meat directly. The tongs can be borrowed if you give the room number in the community center. You can leave it in the room without having to write it and return it.
I stayed 5 nights with my children, it is a delightful resort that I really miss the time.

Great accommodations, a fairly quiet part of the island. The pools and beach were amazing and perfect for our young daughter. Not a lot shopping within walking distance, but the ABC store across the street has many of the essentials.

The Aulani has been such an amazing experience! Everything at this hotel is beautiful and top notch. I would recommend it to anybody looking to stay here. Thanks for such an amazing stay!

Went during Covid. Trip was perfect. Staff was super nice, rooms were way pretty, they overlooked the ocean. We were 10 minutes from white plains beach which is a great surfing beach, and 10 mins from a zip line place. We could walk across the street to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner. The resort has their own private cove/beach. Honestly, this place was way better than Disney world itself. Loved it.

Our room was a suite and it was big and roomy. Nice view of the pool.

This place has it all for every age. Adult pools to kiddie play areas, beach access, water slides, customer service was outstanding, and you get to see the characters we all grew up with. Very well rounded resort with much to offer every age.

We flew all the way from Buffalo NY for our 1 year wedding anniversary for a week with high expectations of Hawaii and Aulani. Although our expectations were high, they were greatly exceeded. The rooms, a great size with amazing smelling amenities. The staff, so pleasant and kind and excited to be there. The grounds and pools and private beach, pristine and clean. Myself, being ocd and my husband, an engineer, no detail went unnoticed by us, and every detail was perfect! We love any and all things Disney for that reason. The food and accommodations were amazing. We are DVC members so were offered fun perks, and got VIP treatment. We had an amazing time, we wish our stay was at least another week. We can t wait to go back already!!!

This place is a joke! First of all, the welcome-they didn't offer the kids any garland to welcome, only for the adults, how nice! Then we find our way to our room after going through a million passages, all on our own, nobody cares to take you there.. walk into the room, totally dark at 1.30 pm. There is one namesake window, which let's no light in.
Then I see a list of charges, for your towels, for the soap and shampoos, for toilet paper..! I'm relieved they let us breathe for free the AC air in our dark room while the rest of Hawaii is bright and sunny with refreshing breeze, of which we could only dream of in our dark cold cave. Food - we were lucky they had fries and shave ice and cookies and a couple more junk for us vegetarian beings.
The whole resort is a rip off, moreover, they have tried their best to take away all the joy and money in this one namesake vacation.

Crazy beautiful and the water park is amazing! They even have a snorkeling pool!

Celebrated our anniversary here on 4th of July. Makahiki buffet, plus fireworks made it special.

We stayed 3 nights at this resort recently and I can tell you I would not return! Let me first say that I am not a big Disney fan but my family is so I booked this resort for 3 nights to begin our Hawaii vacation. It is located in a very nice area and has a beautiful beach and a convenient shopping area directly across the street. The rooms are small and the prices are exorbitant, even for the island! The service is not great and the resort is extremely crowded, especially at the pools! We payed about $3k for 3 nights in a standard room and the TV didn't even work the entire time we were there. We had dinner at the buffet restaurant the first night and it was terrible and also very expensive. For the kind of money you are paying at this resort you could stay at the Four Seasons and you would get great service, which is totally lacking at the Aulani. They even charged us an extra $100 a night for the room when they found out we had 4 people staying (our two daughters, one age 10 and the other 20) in our room with two double beds. I will say that the restaurant that serves fried fish by the pool was pretty good and the luau, which was also very expensive, was quite entertaining and well done.

It always amazes me how Disney can put out a sub-standard product, pack it with people, serve average food and the masses still come. I suggest everyone buy Disney stock because they are masters at making money! It is a shame because they really could provide a personalized, luxury experience for the kind of money they are charging. Aulani could be world class resort but instead they cram as many people as they can into a relatively small property and nickel and dime you for everything and they get away with it. If we do return to Oahu we will not be staying at this resort again!

Don t get me wrong, this is a great resort if you want the Disney experience on Hawaii. It is oversold as that and there are comparable resorts if you are looking for less Mickey Mouse and children. The pool area for as large as it is, is too small for number of rooms in the resort. Seating in the pool area is limited during busy times unlike other resorts. People hoard chairs and the Disney staff does nothing to stop it.
The restaurants are average and the food is high priced. Monkeypod across the street along with others in the area offer higher quality food at better prices. The service and food we had at Awa Awa was not good. The ribeye is below average for quality and is overpriced.
Our room was average, great part was the view over the pool to the ocean. Our TV would not function properly for the five days we were at the resort. The phone crackled and the front desk could not hear when we called about the TV.
Beds were your average foam mattresses near need of replacement with divers in them.
We stayed on Maui and Kauai at Hyatt and Koloa landings, both offered similar features to Aulani, Koloa even with washer and dryer in the room.
Do your homework before booking a resort. If you do end up with Aulani be prepared. The resort is located 30 minutes from Honolulu, traffic in the morning can double that drive if you are heading in.
If you are looking for the disneyification of Hawaii Aulani may be for you, but other resorts can offer the same features with more of an authentic feel.

Not worth the price. Not only was the kids activities non existent "due to covid" but the rooms just were no good. The rooms had worn furniture and bedding and not kid friendly at all. The only indication this is a disney resort in the room was a Micky lamp. Not only was the mattress better suited for a prison cell but the bedding consisted of a sheet, no comforter or blanket. For the price I paid for the room alone I feel ripped off about $1000 per day. The only activity was the pools and the pools are nice when they are open but one day they were mostley closed as well. No disney magic here not even a towel animal. I will never stay at another disney propery again.

Great place and amenities! Super nice and fun. The only reason I took a star off is that the restaurants offered here are basically robbing you! Aside from that, everything else is great.

Disney Aulani is the perfect place for a family staycation!! Lots of activities for everyone!! Love the late night swims with the kids.

Absolutely amazing experience. The amount of detail that went into making this place, the attentiveness of the staff, the cleanliness of the whole place - absolutely perfect. My family and I wanted a to find a great place to stay in Oahu and we found gold. Far enough away from Waikiki and Honolulu to not be congested with ABC Stores and McDonald's, but close enough that we weren't removed from everything. And just the right amount of Disney Magic there! Perfect resort.

The beach was lovely. We were not staying there so we didn't have access to the pool. But we were able to walk through the resort through the pool area and down to the beach. The cast members were fabulous and made a smile and feel comfortable the moment we walked in the door. We both considered leaving our house that we were staying for the last two days and staying there. the ladies on the beach let us take boogie boards in sand equipment for my kids for free even though we weren't staying with them. We enjoyed the lovely pool drinks. Used the bathrooms in the pool area and showered off before returning to our car. My only two complaints is that it was insanely busy and the rooms are unbelievably expensive. Now that I have seen the place they are way overpriced for what you get. But in truth Disney can charge whatever they want and somebody will pay for it. It makes me sad but it's the truth. The Disney magic is powerful and I know why people will. Maybe someday I'll hit the lottery and be able to stay there.

Beautiful Disney Resort in Oahu!! You can enjoy the restaurants and lounges even if you're not a guest at the hotel. You will also see lots of different characters walking around!

We didn't stay at the resort. However, we had breakfast with the Disney characters so this review is based off that. The breakfast was buffet style and was very good. They had a huge selection of food to choose from. Service was very good and friendly staff. Everything you would expect from a Disney establishment. My family enjoyed our time here. Next time we may stay at the resort. We had a great time. The beach and water park look amazing.

This is a really nice hotel. The pool is nice and warm, but the private snorkel reef, although it is beautiful, is very cold.

The grounds are very well maintained, the entry and common area of the building are equally well kept and visually stunning. Rooms have contemporary design elements, and are in good condition for their age. There are all sorts of amenities on site - multiple pools, a couple of adult-only areas, snack spots, and a lazy river. There are also multiple restaurants and shops - as well as a spa and kid hangout area.

Lush high end resort. Incredible pools. Ocean front lagoon.

The diner was great. There was many different options to eat. Seeing Disney characters like Stitch and Dale as we dine was cool.

Nice and clean but there is no AC i.v ther common areas all it gets a bit heated

We just went swimming at one of the lagoons. The beach was clean and the water was peaceful. The grounds were we'll keep.

We did not stay at the resort but visited the restaurants and shops. The resort is very pretty and very busy. They have a very cool pool with a lazy river and fog. Also have a slide and from the sounds of the kids yelling while going down it seems to be a very long slide. At least 10-15 seconds to get down. They have another water park area for smaller kids with shallow water and different structures to climb and run through.
