I have love-hate relationship with this place. It could be so much better. It is totally mismanaged. Yesterday I had to pay $89 to ski even though I had valid punch card. Looks like some kid "stole" one day when he issued me the card. Other times they are not manning the ticket counters, so people wait for hours to get their lift ticket issued. How about the time I was turned back to Phoenix because they "reached the capacity" but never announced this can happen.

In rare occasions when everything is in order, this place is a heaven. But, you need to hit that lottery.

Horrible customer service. Seems like the employees hate being there. Also they need to start to understand that they will never be a Vail type ski area so maybe they could be a bit more friendly and more personal. I live in Flagstaff and will start hiking to get my skiing in. Its very sad that they can't offer better customer service. Seems to me as though the place is ran by greedy people who would rather fill their pockets them put a little more back into the business

Came up here for my friend's birthday. Made the 3 hour drive up from Mesa. We arrived at 9 when the park was supposed to open and come to find out they didn't have power, however the lifts were running and the electricity was on in the resort??? Anyway my friend has cancer and it was his birthday. We waited till noon and they began to sell lift tickets however by that time my friend didn't have the energy to snowboard due to having cancer! ... I told this to guest services and they refused to give us any help such as use his free birthday pass on a different day.. nothing... this place is horrible, heartless, and money hungry.

It's great to have a ski lodge only a couple of hours from the Phoenix area. There are some nice runs and good lifts here.
During my latest trip, I was frustrated by the long lines to buy tickets and the misinformation I was given by employees. I had purchased my ticket online ahead of time but was told that I needed to stand in the gigantic Lee long line to redeem it for my Lyft pass. I then found out I could stand in a much shorter line to redeem it.
I I will continue to visit Snowbowl because it is convenient and fun.

I purchased "THE WORLDS BEST DEAL" lift tickets, ski rentals, and lessons for myself, my husband, and my three kids for one day of skiing. The staff called me and notified me I would have to reschedule my selected day due to decreased snow on the ground. I was a little irritated due to the fact they blow their own snow now so they should know how much snow they are going to have prior to scheduling classes, and because I had already scheduled the day off from work and the kids were very disapointed as we have never been skiing before. None the less, we rescheduled. Our second scheduled ski day arrives, I again schedule the day off from work, we all get up at 430 AM, and drive 2.5 hrs to flagstaff and up the mountain. When we get there, we are again notified the classes have been canceled and the bunny hills are closed so we couldn't ski even without classes because we are all beginners. I was livid. No one had called me or notified me eventhough I had called them the day prior to verify the rentals. They asked why I didn't call and verify the class, I informed them I wasn't aware I had to, as not none of their staff members advised me to despite having talked to them several times between all of the scheduling and rescheduling. I was informed I could choose to reschedule again but only have until the 24th if I wanted to get the same pricing and there is no guarantee there will be snow even then. Or, I could get a full refund for my money but would be unable to book another trip at the same price if I schedule after the 24th. So I bought a package they offer, for a time and date they offer classes that they may or may not realistically be offering despite scheduling with them because they schedule classes before having enough snow on the ground! So all five of us, missed school and work, and drove all the way back home. NOT "THE WORLDS BEST DEAL!"

Aditionally, they didn't even attempt to compensate us at all. One staff member recommended eating at the restaurant they have while viewing the snow. I told her we have resturaunts where we live.

They advertise the worlds best spring break ticket as $29 starting March 1st, but when I clicked on buy now the price for March 3rd it goes up to $85. False advertising and dishonest business practices at its finest.

It is a very cool skier, it has very modern baskets to climb the mountain. It has many tracks for all levels of skiers, it has a small separate track for the little ones where you can hire an instructor to teach you. There you can rent your ski equipment and they also have a good bar and a cafeteria

Snowbowl has become a joke. They charge the amount you would find at a resort double/triple the size in Colorado and don't budge no matter how bad their snow is or how few runs are open. Lines tend to be 30+ min waits. Their customer service is some of the most difficult people you can possible deal with. Snowbowl will take your money gladly of course, but it is near impossible to get a raincheck, credit or refund from them for any reason if something goes wrong. They instead like to belittle the customer, have no understanding and show no existence of customer service. I would advise never buying online from them, it's just not worth any money saved. In fact, I would suggest traveling out of the state if you want a real snow trip.

Maybe it's me, but 1 ticket window open at 9am doesnt cut it when the line is 100 people deep. Charging $87 to hit rocks all day? And who closes the bars at Agassiz at 2pm? Don't expect good service, sympathy, or any other basic human decency. Its 2019! Get it together or you will ruin this sport for an entire state worth of athletes. Corporate ski hill evil, just like the Movies.

Great place for family skiing and snowboarding. The lessons were great for my kids too. We went in March and used the "Best Spring Break" deal. I couldn't believe how much money that saved us. The kids loved the food vouchers that came with it because they got to order whatever they wanted for lunch. Plus, you can't beat the $10 for a two hour lesson and $10 for the ski/snowboard great rentals. This is becoming a yearly tradition for our family.

Drove up to Flagstaff to snowboard this Monday and Tuesday. Spent $69 for a lift ticket on Monday because of MLK. Super disappointed with the "Terrain Park." No jumps, and only about 3 sets of small features. Didn't even bother spending money to snowboard on Tuesday. Decided to go bowling instead. Step it up Snowbowl...

If they would just invest a little in this place, it could be amazing! The mountain is really not that bad; I know AZ isn't known for great skiing, but it's really pretty good. Another high speed lift, upgrade the lodges, and get a ski in/out resort up there and it would be near world class. We still like to go, but for the money, it's hard to justify sometimes. Definitely like the small upper lodge, but get there early to make sure there is seating.

Amazing deals if you pre-plan and purchase your lift tickets online, you can also get your rentals from same place and get food credit vouchers! Best deals for any ski resort when you compare with Colorado or Utah! Friendly staff! Great for beginners and kids. Highly recommend! No brainer if you live in Arizona!

Beautiful area! We went up for the morning and had a great time. The instructors were very patient with me while I took a lesson and taught me a lot of good tips that helped me become more stable and confident in myself. It was a lot of great fun, the slopes were well taken care of and we can't wait for our next visit!

Had a great time on a busy day. Paul D., Ski instructor, was outstanding. I learned a lot and he made sure I was safe when I exhibited signs of altitude sickness at 10,000 ft. I skiied more later and I will be back. Go early, stay late, drink electrolytes.

We rode the lift in August. The views were spectacular, but the service left a LOT to be desired. We paid for $20 of activity tickets for our kids that we were not allowed to use through no fault of our own. (In all we spent over $100 on activities and souvenirs.) We bought tickets for the ropes course and spider jump along with lift tickets around ~3:00pm. We rode the lift up and down (which was awesome) and then wanted to do the activities with our kids. This was now ~4:20pm. We were told all those activities had shut down at 4pm while we were on the lift, which had taken an hour+ to ride. I asked for a refund and was told there are no refunds and that "signs were posted". (I've attached a picture of the pricing menu in the pro shop were we purchased tickets. You'll notice zero mention of closing times or refund policy. We looked around the outside area the pro shop was closed for other signage at this point and couldn't find any.) It would have been nice if anyone had mentioned that we were so close to closing time or asked if we wanted to do the activities first since they would be closed when we got back down. A little communication goes a long way. And the no refund policy is pure BS. Why wouldn't you refund the money in this case? It wasn't a rain check or a scam. It was their oversight. I'd like to recommend this place because the mountain itself is spectacular, but my kids left disappointed and my wife and I felt ripped off. We won't be back.

While this may seem 'closer' to the valley than sunrise, the horrific traffic back through Flagstaff negates the proximity. We sat in traffic for 2:15 just to get back to I17. Add to that silly long lift lines, slow lifts, and outrageous food prices ($36 for mediocre lunch for 3). Terrible value for the money.

MLK weekend 2017:

MLK weekend 2017:
I've skied Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy...I know it's nothing to compare but it's 2017 and you guys are using UPC bar code scanners?

They limit who drives up to the resort, must have 4x4 or snow chains, yeah for folks that don't drive in the white stuff maybe but for the 3-4" that fell they're turning people away to park at the base of the mountain and use the shuttle bus to ride up to the ski area. The problem there is, on a holiday weekend they didn't plan for all these folks to need a ride back down. So they had us waiting outside in a line with snow falling handing out cookies to comfort folks. Never did they explain this was normal operations until a worker spoke up. So 4 hrs later after being moved inside they told everyone that the shuttle bus is on it's last round. That it's only stopping in the city and not where everyone parked.
Makes sense huh? Never again. Other than that debacle the skiing wasn't bad.

Parking is a mess and they could probably do a better job of clearing the ice from some of the stairs as it is a bit of a hazard. Beautiful landscape though. Ski prices are a bit high but what can you expect.

Amazing spot in Arizona with tons of local events, wildlife, adventurers , and a place to really relax. Went there to hike to the top of Humphrey's peak (tallest point in Arizona at 12,635'). The trail leading to the summit was full of wildflowers, wildlife, and tons of thinking timberline. Great weekend adventure, especially if you are coming from the Phoenix area. Does not look or feel like you're on Arizona!!

This is simply a great mountain for it's location, height, snow and availability of different difficulties. It has even snow making now and logistics such as parking and traffic jams in and around Flg are the only real issue.
It takes a while to get to the top and yes one always needs chains or 4x4 in ski resorts duh!, if there is snow otherwise not fun on any mountain! So people, wake up early, drive up or stay in flg and acclimate yourself to 10,500 ft of amazing snow sport and lower oxygen levels (on top)...unfortunately their mountain gets more crowded by the years and wait times on lift and again parking become issues throughout the day, in particular on weekends (obviously).

Just enough to satisfy your ski cravings when you can not make it somewhere better. Decent snow for Arizona, with lots of man made snow practice.
Have had great experience with the staff and ski school.
The adaptive ski program, for those with physical challenges, is second to none.

Place is great if you're skiing/boarding. But no real place for kids to play in snow. No place to let young kids slide down a small slope. It's a family place for older families. But other wise a great place to ski/board.

Do not waste your money coming to this place. They lost their power do to a wind storm. They got their lifts up an running but refused to open their daily ticket sales until they take money I I They didn't open and provided NO updates and allowed their customers to stand in the cold for three hours. If you have a family with young children you should find somewhere else to ski. This place is only interested in separating you from your money.
