Instructor Beau D is the most racist and unprofessional one among all the instructors I ve seen. When I joined the class his first question was What s the worst chinese food you ve ever eaten? When I fell to the ground he yelled you re killing me! Class was chaotic, he intentionally kept calling people s names wrong, and often just hanging there and had his back towards students, rather than watch people practice or teaching. When I asked for make-up class and change instructor, he held my ticket back and insisted me to tell him what he did wrong before handing it to me. I said I didn t think he s good at teaching, then he said: there are 6 people in class, why others passed? All these are under many people s witness. When I went back for afternoon class, he said: here s your fake ticket! He should be fined and fired. I already filed a complaint on him.

Beautiful facility! Watched a grandson (with a small crowd) play football here. Great seats, great views, great sound system, and great attitudes from those working there. All smiles for this venue!

Nice large facility with many options in rental equipment. Bar friendly, out of 2 types of drinks, but after 3 day weekend, food selections minimal, not particularly healthy, friendly staff, breathtaking views of hill bottom and lift.

No rental ski clothing. Then, when you ask, you're pointed to the shop which is ridiculously priced. Example: the cheapest ski pants were $100. They didn't have my size (XXL) either. Everything else is 'resort' priced. Seriously, $3 for a 20 Oz soda.

For a first timer, I wish I would have started with the ski bike. Rent it, it's as fun as it looks!

The skiing and lifts are quite good. Not a lot of space in their facilities but the facilities are fine. Be warned that the last several miles into the ski area is a private road on which they only allow vehicles with four-wheel-drive or chains if it has recently snowed. They do provide a shuttle service if you do not have such a vehicle or equipment, but it can involve a significant wait during busy seasons. I recommend Arizona Snowbowl for all but the most discerning skiers and snowboarders.

Great experience riding the ski lift in the summer. Due to the coronavirus you must buy your tickets online. I found it worth a few bucks to take the chair lift to the top. The views to the west are fantastic. You can see the grand canyon from the top. The restrooms are clean. The snow sports shop is open. I suggest taking a sweatshirt or windbreaker because it got a little breezy and chilly at the top even on a sunny day in the middle of summer.

I love Snowbowl because they make an effort to open early and close late, and in March they have their Spring Break Deal, which means really cheap tickets and food. Maybe I'm biased because it is the only real ski/snowboard area I have been to, but they have a good amount of trails and a fast lift. Take Grand Canyon express, it is really fast and carries 6 people, and you can access a ton of trails from it. The thing that wasn't good is that in the past some of their rentals that my family has gotten haven't been waxed well. But if you are wanting to escape the heat, shred early in the season, and get some great deals this is the place to go.

Absolutely ridiculous, the traffic, the lift lines and the cost for a half open resort (they report all the lifts open but are only open mid way on the main lift) combined with a very negative attitude from the employees and you have a horrible experience. I'll just drive past Snowbowl and go to CO in the future.

We just went to explore and ride the chair lift which we did and loved. The scenic lift is $20 each. The only bummer is you can only ride it once and can t get off at the top. Either way, we had a good time. Very peaceful.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT EVER PREPAY FOR YOUR LIFT TICKET! We stood in line for 90 minutes, in their overflow parking lot, to catch a shuttle to the top. After 90 minutes we were only halfway to the front of the line where the shuttles meet skiers. They didn t have near enough shuttles running. No staff monitoring the line, so groups of people were cutting in with their friends. Save your money and take your family to a real ski resort in Utah, Montana, Washington or Canada.

Snow Bowl had perfect snow weather, it was my second time snowboarding and my boy's girlfriends 1st. We had a great experience and one of the trainers even stayed an extra 45 min helping one of them out. Even though the parking lots were full all the way down to the bottom of the entrance, there was ample riding everywhere. Can't wait to go back.

Great hill. Wait was kind of long to get on a shuttle but it was after a few feet of fresh powder! High chairlift is kind of slow and the food needs some work. But all in all it was a great time!

Fun!

Visited this place during Spring Break with family. It s an easy drive from Flagstaff but I m sure icy conditions could make the roads slick. We signed up for a ski class, rented the equipment, got a lift ticket and $15 vouchers each to use at the restaurant and gift shops. The instructors were great and willing to work with those with all levels of experience. The equipment rental process was a bit daunting but ok. We had planned to ski and then grab some food with the vouchers. The rental equipment has to be returned by 4:30 otherwise there is a late fee. The restaurants and gift shop close at 4:30 so we were unable to use any of our vouchers. In addition, the restaurants that served food are not at the base. So you pretty much need to ski to them or be ready for a long hike. Not good for beginners. So those vouchers are a joke. So I m the end, we overpaid for what we got. I will try another venue for skiing next time.

I love Snowbowl but it is very unfortunate that they have not been getting a lot of snow and it is mainly man made snow up there. Still even with that they maintain as well as they can and the slopes are always very fun to ride!!

We were visiting the area during Chrism's break. We found this resort.
Unfortunately, the ski rental line was very long, not moving fast enough taking a lot of our time there. They did give us a break on the total bill due to our limited time on the slopes.
Small lockers are $15.
The lodge is small, not enough chairs, I had to sit on the floor as it was too cold to sit outside. The cafeteria ran out of food by 3PM (very little choice left) and I paid $3 for coffee, $7 for a yogurt parfait! Pricy!
Advice: if you need to rent, get your equipment in town the night before same price, short lines. Bring you lunch!

Snowbowl is a fine resort, yes I know that its not amazing or huge and they do have to make snow. But the convenience is the driving factor that I go. I can hop in a car for 2 1/2 hours and be on the slopes(I live in Phoenix), rather than 4 hours to sunrise or a terrible 10-15 hours for some nicer Colorado resorts. Also, there are never long lift lines! Even on Saturdays, the line might take 1-2 minutes, by far the shortest lines ever. If you go during the week or on a Sunday, it's like having your own private resort! I highly recommend checking it out for yourself rather than listening to the usual banter and people just outright bashing Snowbowl. Granted the pack is a bit icy from the snow they make (which is treated water, not toilet bowl water) , but its so close I can go every weekend! It tends to be a little icier in spots unless they get some snow, which then it is just awesome! If you can't stand snowbowl, have fun sitting in a car while I'm on the slopes!

Drove to Snowbowl at the almost end of it's season yesterday. Snow is melting fast and only one area was open for skiing. There were lots of cheerful people. And the live music at the base outside of restaurant. We wanted to go up the mountain on chairlift but found out they don't allow people to go on chairlifts who are not skiers, when season is on. It was a bummer, but they do it to avoid overcrowded peak. So that was understandable. But the visit was a fun anyway.

Love!

The terrain is really good. The snow varies with the wetness of the year. Resort has new ownership and 2 new lifts have been built ending the bad lift lines of the past. The resort has an amazing deal of free lodging at several quality Flagstaff hotels with the purchase of 2 lift tickets. Check their web site. Prettiest mountain in Arizona, the San Francisco Peaks.

Beautiful mountain; oblivious to the customer experience. I bought the lift ticket online. You would think there would be a quick process to pick it up upon arrival. Sending people to stand in line with people getting photos and season passes is absurd. Seven people in line and it took me 45 minutes to pick up my paid for lift ticket. I will not go back for a half day ski

March is one of the best months to visit Snowbowl, because of their online pricing, if you buy at least 48 hours in advance, you can get a $29 lift ticket and they're also including a $15 voucher good to spend anywhere on their Mountain, pretty amazing deal! The snow does get a bit slushy in the afternoons in March since we're headed into spring, but you can't beat that lift ticket deal anywhere.
