Finally got to see it but too bad there was no show and it was under construction
I went to the Josh Groban concert here and the concert was fantastic but I was startled at the lack of facilities for those with special needs. Many elderly people were there and they were having major problems and a couple almost fell down those very high steps.
This place is awesome. We went there really early on a Sunday. The weather was beautiful and the air was fresh and crispy, so we enjoyed a stroll around the amphitheatre, on steps then a long ramp. Dozens of people were doing fitness training in small groups, as it was a non-event night. The walk around the red rock post was especially peaceful and there was a little wooden swing that our son enjoyed. Plenty of birds to be spotted. The view was amazing, where the mountains still had a bit of snow but it was sunny and warm.
Legendary, iconic venue. Nothing else like it in the world for beauty, history, acoustics. Great place to watch sunrises! Often a lovely site for morning yoga groups.
Absolutely beautiful place to bike, hike, or just go drive up to and watch the sunsets and look at the rock formations. They also hold some awesome work out programs in the spring and summer, and it s the best concert venue I have ever been to.
Excellent venue for music. The Gorge is also great outside amphitheater but we live in Colorado and take advantage of Red Rocks whenever we can.
Brought my cousin here from Craig hospital. Great venue, definitely worth visiting. The museum and gift shop were great too. Unfortunately, wheelchair accessible seating was already full for front row that night. Next option, row 70, at the top, is quite windy because of the valley and would've been too much for him. We'll definitely be back and would recommend the venue to others.
Absolutely a breath taking experience; Colorado must!
It's Red Rocks, what's not to love? I am glad I live near it, so that I get the opportunity to experience concerts and events in this (truly)awesome venue.
Must see place if you are rolling through Denver. Haven't had a chance to catch a concert here yet but it's an amazing place. Good hiking trails near by to go up the mountain and the amphitheatre is a great place for exercise. Walking around the rock formations doesn't take long but is a great natural experience.
Flew in from Michigan to see big head Todd and the Monsters. This was a bucket list trip. Such an amazing location.
When the weather is as perfect as it often is at Red Rocks, there's no better place for a concert. Outdoors in the Colorado evening with astounding views and great acoustics, what could be better?
I wish I had gotten to see a musical performance when I went but the sights alone are worthy enough for a visit. A must-see when visiting Denver. Tons of major names regularly perform at this venue.
Such a cool place to see, even if there isn't an event going on. Definitely check it out if you're in the area.
I've seen several concerts here. What a beautiful venue! Always perfect acoustics and I prefer sitting near the top third of the seats so I can overlook Denver and see the city below. Wish they'd quit posting words under the screen, it's distracting.
Unforgettable, Euphoric, Amazing. These are some of the words that come to mind when I think of this venue. Make it a point to see a concert there. Also check the weather before you go.
This is absolutely georgeous. Whoever thought of this place is absolute genious. Must visit!
There s absolutely no competition to this place. It s amazingly beautiful, with little to no people during the week daytime. Weekends and concert days get a bit crowded, so parking place needs to be hunted down. A photogenic spot! A good place to get on a hike (remember to be hydrated at all times). And, who says the place isn t pretty during snow?
Holds about 10,000 people. Open and airy, bring a sweater. Lots and lots of walking from the parking areas but at least it's pretty. There's not a bad seat in the house, clear view of the stage from all areas. You may want a cushion if you're planning on sitting the whole time, the seating is just wood and rock. The sound is very good except in high wind it gets a little wonky. As with all concert venues, the exits clog up with people and cars when it's time to leave.
The views are amazing no matter if it's rain, shine or snow. Have been here twice. Once when it was 75 and sunny - the place was packed, there were tours going on, and so many people working out. The other time was just this weekend - it was snowing and only 2 other groups were there. Incredibly peaceful and such a sight to see. Can't wait to go to a show here or do yoga on the rocks or both!!
Just everything was great about this place. It's probably the best concert venue I've ever seen. Totally worth the drive or flight if a band you love is playing here. They have an app, phone message, and website letting you know the seating arrangement for each show, as well as what is and isn't allowed in the show. You can bring a bag, sealed drinks, mini cooler, etc. Just get on it.
Awesome places can't await to listen to a concert here
Great little hike/run for locals and tourists alike, and biking. Parking at Matthews/Winters Park is best and additional parking can be found by going up through Red Rocks entrance 1. If starting from the Red Rocks entrance side, the first mile has a brief ascent, around 600 feet. An out and back loop from either parking lot is just under 6.25 miles, total ascent just under 1,300 feet so it makes for a nice training run if you stick on the Morrison Slide and Cherry Gulch. Easily extendible by continuing to the Dakota Ridge trail from Matthews/Winters or going continue on the Red Rocks trail towards Denver. Enjoy!!
Always enjoy a show at this amazing location, but bring a pad to sit on.
Gorgeous venue with a huge concert selection in the summer time!
Awesome experience, but dont underestimate the stairs.
The most picturesque concert venue that I've EVER attended!! The natural acoustics contribute to superior sound qualities. And with a guitarist and singer like Joe Bonamassa and his band, you just can't go wrong!! What a wonderful evening!!!!
Miles of trails and great scenery. The museum is great, and don't miss the Trading Post
A stunning venue. There is no place else like it on earth. Go for a concert, go just to wander around.
Absolutely breathtaking. I wish I could have made it to a concert, but don't worry I'll be back.
Great sight lines in all seats, excellent history on the construction of the park located in lower level. Such a natural beauty.
This is a gorgeous music venue, which has been on my bucket list for years. It's majestic and has unbelievable, natural acoustics from the stunning red mountains.
So many fantastic views and so many stairs, so wear comfy shoes and prepare for a workout to get to the venue. Parking is free and there is food and drinks sold at the venue and they accept credit cards.
I would bring a blanket to sit on if you don't have a seat and you're in open seating.
Best venue in Colorado! It's such a beautiful place and I love that you're basically going for a hike every time you see a show here. You can always tell how excited the artists are to be playing here which makes for consistently awesome performances.
Took my youngest daughter to see Ray Lamontagne and as always... amazing venue and great evening.
Ray was outstanding to boot!
Very cool venue, uniquely Colorado. We saw The National play here. A few things that would have helped is to have staff that know how to direct people to park, give directions etc. This was our first visit and the staff directing parking was pretty awful and created mass confusion. If you need disability access it is imperative that you plan ahead, most entrances to the park have alot of steps. I did see a shuttle bus but couldn't get info on schedule or anything. Finding seating was easy, bring a seat cushion! This saved us from the bone chilling cold seating. Wear lots of layers, waterproof if rain is in the forecast, and bring a blanket if possible. The facilities overall were exceptional, great heated restrooms, and snacks/ beverages available. We had multiple hot cocoas that literally saved the night, but you had to ask because they were not posted on the menu board. The concert was great, the only other thing that needs massive improvement is actual enforcement of their no Marijuana policy. Several people lit up during the concert despite it being prohibited, cigarettes as well from their seats. I don't think there are enough staff overall to make this a reality. The bag/ pocket check is inadequate if people are still able to bring it into the venue. If this improves, it's a 5 star venue.
Best experience of my life, I can't wait for the next time. I miss It already.
Red Rocks is THE place to see a concert! My husband and I were so impressed with the last several shows we saw. The parking attendants noticed I was pregnant and let us drive all the way to the top of the Upper South lot, knowing it is a hike up to the amphitheater. We parked near the handicap parking. Wow! This kind and considerate gesture was highly appreciated. You can tell the staff at Red Rocks enjoy their jobs, as security, concessions, and employees we engaged with were genuine and kind. Thanks for making our recent concerts that much more enjoyable beyond the quality views and excellent music by bands we love.
What a cool place! A naturally formed amphitheatre with amazing views and acustics.
I want to go back to go to a concert here. I am sure the sound is amazing.
Personally, I could watch someone read a phonebook from the stage at Red Rocks and find it spellbinding. Even after the encore where they bring out a six year old to read a toaster owner's manual(with gusto), I'd still be stumbling over the heels of those in front of me on the walk down as I stared thoughtfully above and behind me, waxing poetic to no one... So imagine going there to see someone you LOVE, or hear your favourite manual brought to life. If you've never seen a show at Red Rocks, you're in for a treat. To the initiated, you already know.
Amazing place to see a show! The sound is fantastic and the bands have so much energy playing in such a magical place. The steps... and there are a lot of them, will give you a great workout after you ve went up and down them a few times to get refreshments and use the facilities. Also prepare to have a nice long stroll from the parking lots as they are quite a distance from the venue itself. Best place I ve ever been to see a show and will definitely be going back again soon. The pics I posted are of Muse and 30 Seconds to Mars from their 2017 show.
Great Experience Beautiful Environment Awesome Natural Sound
The morning sunrise concert on the Easter Sunday it's always best place for the Easter morning
This is an obvious must-go-to for anyone either living in or just visiting Denver and the surrounding region. I recommend going both when there's no event, and also for a concert. Make sure you get the view at the bottom and the top during a concert! It's like two different parties. Prices for rides can be steep leaving after events though I recommend either making sure you or a friend can safely drive back, or checking out the shuttle/bus services that service the area!
Amazingly beautiful nature scene. Good for hikers, families etc. for a day out
Cold in the winter so dress well
It's the best place to see a show and great for visiting when no show is playing. Used to climb the rocks when I was a kid. Now if you go near them, staff are quick to remind you of the cost of fines.
Beautiful natural setting, wonderful that the public has access to it
Beautiful location for a show - IF you can afford the ridiculous ticket prices.
One of the most magical places on earth. Shpongle brought magic to the venue that the people needed. The hiking trails were awesome and can't wait to come back for more shows here and explore the grounds even more.
Good views. It it a very interesting formation/build but I was expecting it to be bigger than what it is. Still worth a visit.
Loved the venue! Can't wait to go back! The only downside was the expensive beer. Lots of food choices and drink options, but it's super pricey. Let's be real, though, if you want to see bands in a stellar venue, this is the place!
Best venue on the continent! The experience is electric from the moment you arrive early on the parking lot and make some new friends to the memories that linger long after you've left. Don't forget to climb to the top and see the city, and remember the venue is regularly open to the public, and also hosts yoga/movies on the Rocks.
Interesting place to visit one time unless you go there to exercise. Many people were running up and down the stairs. Amphitheatre is very impressive. Should be fun to see a concert there.
Beautiful hike and great concerts! Sunrise Easter service is the best!
Who doesn't love Red Rocks. This place is awesome. Nuf Said.
Beautiful area to explore. Hiking trails around Red Rocks are all designed for the novice hiker. The amphitheater is awesome and extremely unique; try to catch a show! Great little souvenir shop on site (bit overpriced in my opinion but a good selection nonetheless). Tons of photo opportunities here. Additionally, check online for tours at Red Rocks. There are many individuals & companies that do hike/breakfast, morning yoga, etc at Red Rocks.
Great place to catch the sunrise!! There's not a whole lot of people n the early morning so finding a good parking spot easy pretty easy. Although it can get pretty icy in the winter.
First time here. Must visit if you're ever in COLORADO
Great sound for shows. Very over crowded with seating with sold out show though
Beautiful scenery. Tough climb to your seats for some but well worth it!
everyone should go here for a show. hands down best place ever!!
Gorgeous views! Love the museum, performers listed by years and history of building it. All the best musicians have played here!
Always love stopping by this place its beautiful and amazing. It has lots of parking and porter potties to use. Great hiking and cool Souvenir shops
Super Cool... Must come out here for a concert this year!!!!
Absolutely love this venue...great for yoga and trails during the day and movies and concerts at night with the back drop of a beautiful sky and city lights....highly recommended even if you only get to drive thru it is totally worth the experience to see something so significant!
Simply fascinating geological structures! The rocks are gorgeous, especially at sunrise! The venue in the area is great as well, with really cool acoustics. Lot of people exercising here up and down the stairs which is pretty cool that it is open for workout enthusiasts even when no events are taking place
There's a reason why Red Rocks is known by people around the world. This is a one of a kind outdoor amphitheater that musical legends of all genres play at. It's hard to put into words the magic one feels when watching a musician perform here but it's certainly felt by the audience and if you take a moment to look around at everyone during a good performance, you'll be sure to see so many people smiling and grooving to the tunes that are cascading off the rocks and flowing from the amazing sound system. The food is slightly on the pricey side but then again most of the popular venues in Colorado that serve food have a similar price tag.
To make the experience even more enjoyable, they have people walking through the audience that sell water and beer (for cash) which means less time walking away from your spot, friends & family and more time enjoying the music.
If you've never been and want to enjoy hearing a musician/band/DJ/group you like perform live, this is the place to hear them.
An iconic stage where talented musicians have performed for decades. I remember first seeing Red Rocks in Mumford & Sons music video for "I Will Wait" but never expected to visit it. When I recognized the location I was really happy. The place is truly beautiful and is a huge hangout for people working out and running on the weekends.
Really cool place to visit but there wasn't alot to do here.
Simply the best concert venue in the entire south-west. Breathtaking to look at, and the sound is always perfect whether you are listening to something melodic or an epic rock or EDM experience.
But do prepare for weather, as this is completely out-doors.
The nicest place that I have ever seen a show at. Spectacular views of the city behind the stage. Don't sleep on special events like Films on the Rocks where they show classic movies on a giant screen. And of course Easter Sunrise Service. Make sure to bring plenty of coffee or hot chocolate and blankets for that event. Protip: if you are taking a Lyft/Uber tell your driver to go into entrance 1 which will take you all the way to the top. This will save you what feels like 1,000,000 stairs.
Great until City of Denver got involved with"improvements'
This is a bucket list kinda place to see a concert. Add it to your list now. Don't wait
Beautiful scenery around the Venue! The free transportation uphill was helpful! The amount of workers was excellent, and the service was great for me. The parking lot had some crazy drivers, but we made it out with patience! The free soda for being a designated driver was unique to see! The light show was awesome! Hope to come back for another visit!
It's a Must see place... put it on your bucket list..
