This is a legendary concert venue and a breathtaking scene. My first day in colorado I went here. Tried to climb the stairs to the east entrance and turned around. Need to get in shape for that climb. Luckily there are easier ways in.

Great place to work out in the early morning/afternoon. There are also trails for hiking and biking. Most importantly, the concerts here amazing with a great view of the sunset over Denver.
Whether you see a concert there or not, a visit to this Amphitheatre is a MUST. Walk the stairs, get your exercise in for the day. Learn and explore in their museum. Or simply sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery!
Simply amazing! There is something magical about seeing a show here. I have seen 3 shows here, 2 of them have been recorded for DVD releases. I recommend coming here to see someone who you really like! It's also a great place to hang out during the day. You can walk various trails around the park, climb stairs, walk the stage or visit the museum up top! I can't wait until I visit again.
This is an incredible venue to see a concert! It is just gorgeous to see the big red rocks and to see downtown Denver in the distance. The sound quality is great, and I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. Very highly RECOMMENDED.
I don't claim to be a concert veteran, but of the places I've been Red Rocks is the flat out best. If there's an artist playing at this venue, and you like them, go. You will regret nothing
See the Stars under the stars at The natural Amphitheater that is Redrock's. If you've never been there put it on your list. Be ready to climb more than a few stairs. Low landers take your oxygen tanks. Not a bad seat and the sound is. . . . . You gotta go!
It's Red Rocks, what more is there to say really. Could the drinks be a little cheaper, sure. Could the food be a little cheaper, sure. But c'mon now, it's Red Rocks. There is no better place in this country to see a concert. For real, I mean it's Red Rocks!
They are currently charging to enter the venue. Something that was already offered for free is now being charged in times where people just want to get away during hard times.
The venue does offer excellent acoustics; however, the concert vas oversold. Vendors sold out of most merchandise, reserved seating sections were not clearly marked, and step lighting was a safety hazard. Be prepared for a strenuous hike not only to get to the venue but to use the bathroom or visit any vendor.
Even if there is not a concert, this is a fun place to visit. Due to the altitude, the climb is a great workout. The views are incredible and the rock formations are very interesting.
We came from Pennsylvania to experience a concert and we will definitely be back! Get there early and enjoy the delicious food at the restaurant before the show.
Rad place with spectacular views of Denver, and a ton of music history. It's a great little hike, with a bunch of trails. The big Attraction, though, is the amphitheatre. Where else could you just hike up and climb onto one of the most iconic stages in music on your morning run? Awesome. The museum is also a must check out, with a theatre playing clips from live concerts, hallways full of posters, and tons of miscellaneous items, it's a must for any music fan.
Saw a Band called Float Like A Buffalo. Could not believe they are not on the big stage. They were awesome. The dinner was really very good. The whole evening was great. But adult beverages are expensive!!!!
This venue is amazing and the best part is its FREE to visit when there is not a concert. The acoustics there are unbelievable. We parked at the top entrance and looked down at the stage. We then drove around to the bottom parking lot to avoid having to walk up the stairs after going down to the stage. That was a mistake it didn't matter. There were just as many steps going up to the stage from the bottom parking lot as there would have been if we just walked down from the top and then up again. Beautiful setting and hope to enjoy a concert there some day. Definitely a spot to visit even if you are not going to a concert.
Nothing really needs to be said, this place is soooo beautiful, and the acoustics in the amphitheater are absolutely incredible.. Playing music on this stage is downright spiritual.
Very nice amphitheater and a nice location with red rocks. Great food and drinks. There is a Starbucks inside for Starbucks lovers. Nice place to do a little jogging and work out. Beautiful mountain scenes!
Red Rocks is one of the most beautiful venues for an outdoor concert. When attending it is important to remember that you are at 6400 feet elevation. Bring rainwear and a sweater. Also, the seating is amphitheatre bench style. No backrest. It does not deter from the concert or performance but if things run long.....Also at the end, the departure can be a little slow. Local traffic police are helpful in moving the crowds along. Finally, arrive early and enjoy the scenery, the museum, and the restaurant.
Hands down the best music venue I've been to! The location/view is beautiful, the amphitheatre is well maintained, and the entry/exit process was fairly simple (Uber). I don't care what genre was playing, I'd go again if I had the chance.
Red Rocks is the absolute best place to see a concert! The best advice I can give you though is wear comfortable shoes because there is a ton of walking! Of course food and drinks are crazy expensive but parking is free. Lots are dirt so again, wear comfortable shoes!
Really enjoyed the walk. It was a beautiful day. The museum is fun at the end, I hadn't taken the time before. Half way through the hike, I was missing my water bottle and wishing i had been in better shape. But, it's beautiful and the best venue ever for concerts.
One thing to note here is how strenuous it can be going up and down stairs. This is one reason why you regularly see people exercising there. If you re a casual tourist just looking to see the legendary Red Rocks, though, pay attention to your breathing and your heart rate. The photos of the bands and all the lists of acts by year are fascinating and cool to see. There is video playing in the museum usually, though a full documentary would be really cool. The rock features are amazing just these enormous red fingers of rock jutting up out of nowhere. Of course, it s cool to see a show here, too, though the seats are super uncomfortable. If you re going to be standing most of the time, it s not a big deal but if you re seeing a quiet show where people sit, be prepared.
This place has been on my bucket list for a few years and I am so glad I finally got to see a show here. This venue is just spectacular. To be honest it may not even matter who you go see, you just have to see a show at Red Rocks. Thinking of making this an annual pilgrimage.
My first experience with the venue and can say with conviction that its a truly special place unlike any other. Drove 1000 miles to see John Butler and was worth the trip even from row 56. Surprised, no amazed actually at how easy it was to enter and exit and only one egress. A huge shout out too the staff, fans, the all Aussie revue!
One of my most favorite places to go for peace. Easy drive to get to, excellent trails to walk on, don't forget to bring a camera, signs are everywhere to guide you wherever you would like to go. Excellent by yourself, as a couple, or for the whole family. Also includes an amazing Amphitheatre to go and see your favorite bands play.
Absolutely amazing. You can t ask for a more unique venue. If you ever have a chance to go to a concert here, even if you re not a die hard fan of the band, take it!
The absolute best outdoor venue in America. Acoustics are great. The setting is one of a kind. A little hard getting it off after shows but overall an amazing place to see a show.
Love coming here. Bring all our guests here. So beautiful and such nice scenery. Love the amphitheatre and the visitor center is a must see, especially the hall of fame. There is overflow parking if you can't find any up top. But you have to walk up some stairs, not bad though. Just know it looks super tempting to walk down the amphitheatre stairs to the stage, but you also will need to walk back up! That's a tough hike!! Take water, you'll need it. Is closed during concerts, otherwise it's free.
Great place to hike with little kids. Trails aren't to steep for little ones. We had a 10yr old, a 5yr old and a 3yr old. But if you want to go to the amphitheater and walk around the stairs you must go before 2pm because they close it when there's a concert that night.
This place is amazing. No need for a show, the rocks are the main attraction. They bring in a big name artist and now you have a soundtrack for your experience with all God created.
Wow! What a spectacular place! Not just to see a concert but to just visit and take in the beauty that is all around this place. A must bucket list item!
Most beautiful place in the world to watch a concert - nature provided that! And I'm so proud of the Red Rocks management for taking environmental concerns seriously - compostable plastics, adequate recycling options, information about the wildlife and how to be respect the gift of this natural amphitheatre. Love the view from the top - and the excellent selection of food and drink there. It's a good idea to read about how the parking works and select the best lot for you - there can be a LOT of walking involved (you'll get your steps in and then eat and drink guilt free - lol).
What an experience... a jam session that never ends surrounded by friends you never knew you had! Tip: If you get to a show early enough you can get great seats with General Admission tickets.
Haven t been for a concert (though that s now on my bucket list), but the venue is gorgeous. Love that it s open and free to the public when there s not a concert. I would recommend checking out the visitor center (also free), because it gives information about how it formed and also all the artists who have performed there! Definitely a must see while in Denver!
Absolutely beautiful venue! During shows, there are plenty of stands with food and drink but mostly drinks. Not during shows, the area is open for visitors. There are amazing views that overlook downtown Denver and the mountains. People enjoy excercising by running up and down the stairs and seating. There is also a restaurant and a free museum.
Best concert venue in Colorado for sure! Possibly even in America!? And if you go during the day to exercise you can find free dignity everywhere from the people who lost theirs the night before
Rain, shine, and all weather in between...Red Rocks never disappoints. It is hands down my favorite place in the world to see concerts. I've never had a bad time there - the view beyond the stage is fantastic and sunsets there are beyond words.
Also, if you're always running late and end up having to park really far away, you can catch a cab for $5 a head all the way to the top and back down again after the show.
This place is amazing and even more so in person. The pictures that I had seen prior don't do it justice. The rocks have that Colorado red tint to them and they are really larger than life. You can see that they're enormous from quite a distance, depending on which way you're coming to the park while driving, but when you get closer you'll start to be amazed at their size and beauty.
Also, once you're there the view is simply stunning. If you look close you can see Denver in the background, off to the left if you're standing at the top of the amphitheater.
There's a nice little museum explaining about the amphitheater along with a hall of famous singers and bands that have played at the amphitheater
I'm from K.C. mo area and loved the amphitheater. As a disabled person it wasn't so much fun. I think you need more restrooms on the sides and I really think that if you had more of a light show on the rock walls it would have been just over the top. Would I ever go back, yes and with pleasure just need to be a little more organized and bring a thick pad, I've got back problems.
